My heart threatens to leap out of my chest faster then I can leap out of my window. I nearly got caught, and this is my first time too. How did I not notice it was off? My fingers grip the tiny sill and my feet push against the wall. I begin to close the window softly. I don't think it matters if I do it quietly or not, she still won't hear. I glance through the pane, where she is still flying through the door, eyes half-closed and her mouth twisted with the effort of a breath. It's a hilarious sight to see.
I slam the window the rest of the way shut.
