When Aang stepped through the portal, he was greeted with a horrific sight.
The Spirit Realm was on fire.
A burning land was shown before him and there was no sign of life anywhere.
Was this truly was Ozai was capable of now?
He reached out with his spiritual senses and he knew that the spirits were alive.
They must have taken shelter from Ozai's rampage.
"Oh my…" He heard Katara gasp behind him.
"This is…this is what Ozai was trying to do to the Earth Kingdom." Sokka muttered next.
"What is with this guy and burning everything?" Toph commented, aghast by the state of the Spirit Realm even though she couldn't see.
"It's always been his belief that anything weak must be burned away." Zuko walked up next to Aang. "It's all he knows and all he ever will know. He tried to pass that belief onto me and my sister when we were growing up. I managed to get past it but Azula…"
He wondered what his sister would think of all this.
He half expected her to come out of hiding and aid Ozai if she believed he had the strength to take back the Fire Nation and rule the world.
But not so much as a whisper had been heard from her.
Zuko wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
"My uncle was able to see past all the lies that our family had spouted. That the war was our way of sharing our glory with the rest of the world. He knew it was wrong but Ozai…All he ever wanted was power and he'd do anything to have it, even killing his own family to get it." Zuko continued after shaking his head to clear his mind.
Now was not the time for reminiscing.
"This isn't taking power." Aang opened his eyes. "This is pure spite against the world for not bowing down to him."
"And he's burning everything down for it." Katara clenched her hands.
This man…
He might not have been the one who started the war in the beginning but so much of everything that they had been through could be tied directly back to Ozai.
Including the death of her and Sokka's mother.
"We have to find him, now." She said, not wanting to waste another second.
"Then we better hurry."
The group turned around and were greeted with an amazing sight.
"Roku…" Aang gasped.
It wasn't just Avatar Roku and his trusty dragon Fang.
Kiyoshi.
Kuruk.
Yangchen.
Salai.
Szeto.
An Avatar dressed as a general.
An Avatar dressed like a sailor.
Gun.
And many more, going back all the way to the first Avatar:
Avatar Wan.
"As we speak, Ozai is carving a path of destruction through the Spirit World, looking for a way back to the human world." Roku spoke. "We know where he is heading."
"And he must be stopped at all costs." Kiyoshi spoke next. "Are you ready to do whatever it takes to stop him, Avatar Aang?"
Aang stepped forward. "I still want to avoid ending a life…But for the sake of both our worlds, I can't hold back against what Ozai has become. Is that good enough for you?"
All the past Avatars stared at him…and smiled.
"Then we are all agreed and ready." Roku stated as his eyes began to glow. "It's time to end this."

BOOM!
SMASH!
BOOM!
BOOM!
SMASH!
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
"RAGH!"
Agni, the demon formerly known as Firelord Ozai had not been idle since becoming trapped in the Spirit World.
Rather, he had taken this as an opportunity to do what no one before had ever dreamed of doing:
Conquering the Spirit Realm.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" He cackled as he fired another blast at the stone spirit he was facing right now.
Aside from the spirit known as Koh the Face-Stealer, it seemed the rest of the Spirits were too scared to fight him as he rampaged across their world without constraint.
Cowards.
The whole lot of them.
In Agni's mind, he was now realizing that the Spirits were not all-powerful as they had the mortals believed.
They could be harmed.
They could be killed.
And he had the power to do it!
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! NOW THE ENTIRE SPIRIT REALM WILL BOW TO ME!" Agni shouted as he blasted the stone spirit away, watching as it crumbled to pieces.
He had done this everywhere he had gone, and no spirit had been able to stand against him.
All the proof he needed that his right to rule was divine.
"STOP!"
Agni paused, slowly turning around to see none other than the Avatar, his friends and his traitorous son Zuko standing with them. "You…"
"Ozai, what you have done here is beyond disturbing the balance." Aang stated, taking a step forward. "This is madness. What is the point of all this?"
"You really need to ask?" Agni chuckled. "To prove I am beyond judgement, even the judgement of the so-called Spirits. What other reason do I need?"
"You're not just a monster, you've literally become that which you've always been underneath." Zuko stepped up next to Aang. "An unending fire of hate that just burns everything around without end or reason."
"I don't need to hear the words of a weakling like you, Zuko. You, who were an utter waste of time and energy I spent trying to mold into a competent heir." Agni scoffed.
"You only married my mother because she was a descendant of Avatar Roku." Zuko retorted, making Agni pause. "That's right, I know your little secret. You never did anything worthwhile as the second heir to the throne aside from looking for Aang, just sat around and waited for your chance to seize power and you call me the failure?"
"Power is power, no matter how you gain it." Agni growled. "All that came before me were just too weak to keep it."
"Like you when Aang stripped you of your bending." Sokka cut in. "Not your proudest moment, Phoenix King."
"No, my proudest moment is here and now." Agni raised a fiery hand. "Where I burn all of you from sight and from this world and any world."
"It's not just us you have to deal with." Aang softly said as his eyes began to glow.
Agni paused and gasped as the past lives of Aang appeared behind him and his friends, all of their eyes growing bright.
"Today, you face the might of all the Avatars of the past." Aang said, his voice now sounding like a thousand people speaking at once. "And you will answer for your crimes!"
