A huge crystal rock was heading to earth as it could cause harm but as soon it has reach the atmosphere and start burning up, it start cracking a lot before it shatter Into 9 big shard pieces as they were still falling toward the surface of earth, 6 pieces were heading to the 6 continents, the pieces were shining bright in the night as few of animals saw it and were curious, one has crash/splash landed in the Atlantic ocean, the other Inside cave of a mountain in Russia, asia and the one of the 9 pieces was heading toward africa as it was about to make a great evolutionary change in history, the other piece that landed in the ocean would create unnatural phenomenon.
Many years have passed as it was now between 3.7 to 2.4 million years as the Ardipithecus ramidus would evolve to become Australopithecus Africanus and would later become homo habilis in the later years after learning to band together to create a pack/family to increase the Vigilants, warriness and decrease the chance of becoming a meal to a variety of predators from cheniansaurus, afrovenator, ruops and African variant of allosaurus along with Machairodus gold and white subspecies, afrocyon, viverra, Xenocyon, dinopithecus, great jaggi along with it's pack and other Raptor bird Wyvern that would make the desert, grassland and Savannah of Africa it home.
In the 3.7 era we see a big band of Australopithecus walking in the wide world of the grassland if African foraging for grubs and insects, fruit and plant roots as they were only thing were able to eat inorder to survive, a few miles from them was a large monster classified as a fanged beast a mammalian type of wyvern.
It was a medium-sized monster, slightly larger than an Aptonoth. It is covered in a series of red armor plates, which are segmented around the midsection and allow the beast to curl into a ball. It possesses an extremely long, chameleon-like tongue which is covered in sticky saliva.
It was known as a volvidon, it may look imposing but it was mostly minding it own business unless it was provoked as one was walking toward a termite mound before breaking it open with it huge, thick pickaxe like claws to tear the mound down before using it super long tongue to slurp up every tasty morsel it can grasp and the termite would try in vain to fend of it attacker but the tongue was coated with a paralyzing Saliva, immobilizing those who make contact with it, making eating any insects like ants and/or termite very much easier and with a tough armor and the ability to curl into a ball it would not only fend itself but at the same time attack by rolling them down, squishing would be predators and paralyzes with the saliva to make a quick get away in thing were dicey.
It was not the only monsters as another creature like the aptonoth as it would survive in any terrain except cold climates along with another herbivore as it was a small, quadrupedal, ceratopsian-like monster with an armored body, resembling a Protoceratops or Chasmosaurus. Its face features a small nose horn and is surrounded by a frill, it was known as a Rhenoplos as a small band of them were grazing by themselves as they were highly territorial and would charge at anyone that goes near them predator or prey, it very doesn't have good eyesight as it was mostly blind but it have great hearing and smell and it have also have backup inform of small birds and pterosaurs as the feathered and non feathered flyers would alarm the Rhenoplos incase of danger.
A couple miles away of there was a very big and muddy watering hole with a few big rocks for small animals to ride under or to roost as the watering hole has drawn in animals from miles like the aptonoth, giant hartebeest and warthog, kentrosaurus, paratitan and giraffatitan, massospondylus, moschops, Aardonyx, Nigersaurus, deinotherium, Pelorovis, equus mauritanicus, camelus thomasi and a third herbivorous beast as it was a herbivorous reptiles that frequent desert and volcanic areas. They have a body structure similar to Aptonoth, their evolutionary cousins. They have many characteristics of tortoises, such as head shape and a protective shell. Their tails have a developed mace-like structure on the end that is covered with sharp spikes like a Ankylosaurus minus the spikes, it was called a apceros who is a relative of the aptonoth as it looks docile but like the Rhenoplos it is territorial and would attack any intruders til there gone or dead but it would coexist with other herbivore well unless it sensed aggression from them then it would fight for food and territory.
In the middle of the muddy watering hole a unknown creature was hiding in the muddy water but it didn't show any hostility to the animals, Dinosaur and and creatures in the watering hole as peace was unsure but danger came as a great Jaggi and two smaller Jaggi appeared, it see two aptonoth unaware of the predator bird Wyvern as the great Jaggi and his pack mates head to them, the alpha Jaggi sneaked onto before snarling at them as the two aptonoth were surprised but with the two jaggies on the other side the two herbivores were trapped as the great jaggi walked on the muddy part of the watering hole.
The commotion from the great Jaggi can a few creatures to flee in fear while other like the apceros, kentrosaurus stood their ground and formed a circle formation, raised their tails up to make them feel threatening to would be predators, sauropods have not scared as they were too big and strong for a great Jaggi to take on, as the great Jaggi and his pack was antagonizing the herbivores with the smaller jaggies nipping at the aptonoth feet and the great Jaggi was snapping and snarl at them, the unknown creature sensed the watering hole was it turn toward the group with a puff of air from two holes of a crown shaped headpieces as it swam to them, and as the great Jaggi was about to move in for the kill, the unknown creature revealed it self at he flung the great Jaggi in the air while release a loud bellow as it was a is a large, bipedal monster characteristic of the Brute Wyvern class. It is noted for the large crown structure atop its skull, which houses its nostrils. Its body is covered in rigid plates that help protect it from the harsh desert environment. This brute wyvern possesses a pair of small red eyes and a mouthful with numerous long, peg-shaped teeth.
It was called a barroth the mud beast of desert as it didn't like to be disturbed by anything or any creature as the great Jaggi thumped to the ground defeated as the smaller jaggies flee in fear as the barroth shake off some of the mud of it hard scaled body though it like to roll in mud to create a mud armor to protect it body from the blazing sun but barroth's loud bellow has awaken another creature as it was coming out from the large rock but in truth it was actually Disguised as a pile of large rocks as it was a flying wyvern with rocky, often moss covered carapace and the juvenile form of another large flying wyvern. It's hard, tough, rocky stone-like carapace hide and powerful legs that allow it to move quickly. Its head is adorned with a long, curved horn and its tail has a spiked tip that is capable of sending out powerful shockwaves, it's rock armor like body is even harder than their adult form, is used for protection against predators, and doubles up as an effective camouflage when it partially buries itself in the ground. This rock-like flying wyvern is a slow mover due to its weight, and although it has wings, it rarely uses them to fly as it was very heavy. Even when it does, its weight allows it to fly only for a short time.
It was called a basarios and it was an angry flying Wyvern as it was awakened from its nap by the barroth as he growled at the barroth as it brute Wyvern growled at the flying Wyvern as well as both beast would fight to keep this territory.
The barroth and basarios charged at each other at running speed before collide as both beast were trying to overpower one another with their strength but the basarios eventually overpower the brute Wyvern knocking it down, the barroth got back up and became engaged as it made bellowing roar as the basarios roared back in defiance when another roar was heard as a lone carcharodontosaurus as the sauropod fled as a carnivore like that would deal serious damage to them and attack their offspring as the sauropod flee the area, the apceros and kentrosaurus hold their ground, the two aptonoth who were saved by the barroth fled the area leaving the two wyvern alone facing the huge carnivore of Africa.
Meanwhile the Australopithecus family were foraging and eating when they heard trumpet, snort and bark noise from a mile as the volvidon stopped feeding as it listened to the sound as a small herd of deinotherium was being attacked by a pair of allosaurus trying to get the calf from the herd but the adult would let them as the elephant like beast fled with the allosaurus in hot pursuit, but it wasn't over as a male Australopithecus sensed something as if he sensed danger.
And danger was coming in fast on the family as a dinofelis charged at one of the adolescent male and pounced on his prey as the adolescent male tried to escape but unable to fully defend itself, it fell victim to the big cat saber tooth Fang as the dinofelis dragged away his new kill to feast but the trouble wasn't fully over as the small pterosaur on the Rhenoplo's back flew to the sky in fear as it sensed something as they alerted the herbivores as something was coming as it was a big pack of small Raptor bird Wyvern similar to velociprey but it was covered in a colorful yellow and green hide, with a pair of yellow crests over their eyes.
They were called genprey, bird Wyvern relatives of velociprey and with them was their leader known as gendrome as it like the velocidrome but it like it kin with the same color and a bigger crest as it the leader of it's pack as it barked a command as the genprey charged and attacked the Australopithecus family as the apes were scared and unsure what to do, but the older male saw the volvidon and would lure it here to fight in gendrome and it's pack as it ran to the fanged beast.
When the older male Australopithecus got close enough to the volvidon, it started hooting, hollering and shouting, while waving it arm up and down, getting the red armadillos like beast attention as the volvidon roared at the male ape as it start ran back with the volvidon in pursuit.
The gendrome and it's pack was closing in on the apes as the adult shield the young, weak, injured and the old within the circle, the older male Australopithecus threw a stick it picked up while running from the fanged beast at the gendrome head making the bird Wyvern mad but see a volvidon behind the ape as it jumped out of beast rolling range as it uncurled to see the bird Wyvern before roaring as the bird Wyvern snarled and hissed, the male ape lead his family to safety as the genprey pack pounce on the volvidon, which Instinctively curled into a ball as the genpreys tried to scratch and bite at the volvidon but the fanged beast armor was to hard and tough to pierce as it retaliated by rolling over them, knocking a few over, as it unfurled it unleashed a mucus of paralyzing saliva at a few genprey, stopping them in their track as other pounced and attack from all side but it was a fruitless effort unless they can flip him over to get to the soft underbelly but red ball like beast swiped a few back with it claws while smacking a few away with it long tongue like a whip.
The volvidon have one more trick up in it sleeve incase thing were looking dire for it as the gendrome hopped on it back and tried to sinked it paralyzing fangs into its neck, the volvidon start shaking it behind as it was about to release a four odor to repel predators, as the gendrome was getting close, the volvidon let it rip as he unleashed it foul smell and stanked the gendrome as it would smell like that for a while.
All the commotion have drawn in the Rhenoplos herd as they start charging at them but once they start charging they won't stop til they hit the target, a tree, a rock, anything in particular or stop after charging a few miles, as the gendrome fell off the volvidon, the fanged beast curled into a ball as one of the Rhenoplos bashed it sending it rolling but the volvidon used the rolling at the method of transportation as well as attack, the volvidon hit a rock then a tree then a rock wall as it made the volvidon crash into the gendrome's pack and the Rhenoplos herd but it doesn't stop rolling as it head toward the termite mound it was feasting on earlier as it smashed the mound to the ground and that crash made it uncurl and stumble to the ground, when it recovered it see the broken mound and see tons of termite pour from the mound as it ran to feast as this fanged beast was very happy it crashed into the mound.
When the Rhenoplos and gendrome along with the genprey recovered the Rhenoplos then charged at the bird Wyvern who then fled out of fear as it didn't want to mess with them, the Australopithecus family was safe and would head on but learn that the wild was merciless but having a family would save them.
The basarios and barroth were confronted by the carcharodontosaurus as it have huge sharp teeth with serrated edge to cut into flesh and cause bleeding to the prey but it would be challenged with wyvern with hard armor like skin but it won't stop it from trying at it clamped down on the barroth neck but it have mud armor making hard to grip and have it teeth dird as it let go, it now have taste of Mud in it mouth but barroth was about to give more as it start shaking like crazy as it was now fling and covering the carnivorous dinosaur body with wet mud, the carcharodontosaurus deterred by the mud loving brute wyvern turn to basarios as it charged at the rock like Wyvern but the basarios then emitting a poisonous gas as sign of defense it can also emit sleep gas as well as spew fire breath, it would also roll over if it was attacked by a pack of predators, it use tail sweep to smack them as well as mad dash to knock attack down, the poison gas send the predator reeling but not deter it as it went to bite it back but when it bit on the upper rock like back on the body it broke a few teeth as it feel off, it was mad now as he would push and flip the basarios over it back to get to the soft underbelly but it was protected by hard plating but it won't stop the predator as he start biting, sinking it teeth into the basarios armor plating trying to get to the soft flesh, the basarios roared in pain from the sharp teeth as it send a fireball from it mouth as carchar's face, the predator roared in pain from the fireball as the basarios got back up, the carchar didn't noticed the barroth as it did a shoulder press knocking the predator down as it not only want that basarios gone it also carcharodontosaurus gone as well.
The battle was about to resume when a new roar was heard from afar as a shadow was looking over Africa it sended some of the creature fleeing in fear as this new monster was slowly descending from the sky as it was a is a medium-sized true flying wyvern similar in looks to her male counterpart, Rathalos. Her hide is a dull, muted green in contrast to the Rathalos's deep red, and her lower mandible features a long, protruding chin spike. Her upper back and wingtips are covered in a moss-like fur not seen on the Rathalos, and while her clubbed tail lacks bony spikes, it makes up for this with the presence of sharp and highly poisonous needles, which she can use to poison foes upon contact.
It was known as the Rathian, the female counterpart to rathalos as she was feared and respected by those around her, as rathalos is the king of the sky, Rathian is the queen of the land as she mostly fight on land but also fly like her mate to hunt and go places, she and rathalos live in forest, jungles, grassland and anyplace that have wide open space and play if prey to hunt and less competitions but she very well specialized and suited for desert region unlike rathalos who quite adapted in volcanic region.
Rathian roared in defiance as she marked this watering hole as her territory but the carcharodontosaurus who roared back not backing down as two different predators began circling each other as both predators would show no mercy as they fight til one of them back down or die fighting.
The carcharodontosaurus charged first trying to get the first bite but the Rathian flew back to avoid the sharp teeth before launching a fire ball at the predatory dinosaur on it body knocking it down and leave with a nasty burn, the carchar maybe fast and deadly but the Rathian have the advantage when it come to air movement, fire-breathing and her other third move as she land back down as the dinosaur got back up then charged again as it land a bit on the Rathian neck but she used her tail to smack him away before she backed up then did a frontal back flip as her tail hit the carcharodontosaurus in the face as she have a deadly weapon, venom/poison from her tail as rathalos have venomous talons, it wasn't enough to kill the predator but would weaken it as the carchar knew it was no match as it left the area, the barroth and basarios step back from the fight as the Rathian scraped the ground with her talons to mark it as her territory before flying off, the barroth was happy to have his muddy watering hole but it would share with the Rathian but it can hold its ground but the basarios left looking for a new place to call home.
Life can be unexpecting most of the time but if you have Intelligent, adaptability as well as durability then anyone can survive as man was about to reach the next step once it reaches 2.4 million years.
