Baba's Palace
Riding the Nimbus cloud was an enjoyable experience to say the least. Lisa saw a lot of various things such as villages, animals, wandering families of dinosaurs and so on until she came to Baba's Palace and saw a large crowd of people gathered as she got a few strange looks when she landed at the end of the long line as she got off the Nimbus and saw it fly away quickly enough. However, after a minute or two Lisa was shocked when a pink-looking ghost with a green straw hat on its head.
Ghost Usher, Level: 5
Usher of Baba/Spirit
"Hello there. As a special guest of fortune teller Baba you have been allowed entrance into her palace to talk with her about a matter of extreme importance." The ghost said with a smile as Lisa nodded her head.
"That's why I'm here after all." Lisa said as several people were upset but some other Ghost Users kept the people in line as Lisa followed the ghost and made her way inside the palace and in the main room she saw the woman floating on a large crystal ball as she randomly decided to use Mind's Eye on her to try and see just how powerful she truly was.
Mind's Eye was deflected by a strong mental protection spell!
Uranai Baba, Level: 70
Fortune Teller/Arch Witch
Baba was a bit small in terms of height and is dressed in a black one-piece gown with a black pointed witch hat on her head with her pink hair coming out of her hat and framing her face.
"You're a pretty rude girl to try and use a scrying spell on me after I invite you into my home." Baba said sternly and with a scowl as Lisa quickly bowed her head.
"Sorry. You weren't what I expected so I thought I could get some info on you and see who you were." Lisa said with a bit of embarrassment as she was caught red handed and the way Baba scowled at her made her feel like a little kid getting scolded by her mother.
"Raise your head girl. You're going to need to grow a bit more of a backbone while you're here. Now why don't we start with you explaining this strange ability of yours that allows you to use magic because somehow in someway your ability has altered the course of the foreseeable future." Baba said as Lisa raised her head and told Baba about her power since she didn't really see a point in keeping it as a secret from a possible teacher.
"Your life…Has become a videogame." Baba said in visible disbelief before letting out a chuckle. "The god's must really be bored if they have given you such a bizarre ability."
"I can hardly believe it myself…Wait did you say god's as in plural?" Lisa asked as Baba nodded her head.
"Yes, but we can talk more about that later. Right now, I am going to give you a choice. I know you want to train under my brother but before that time comes, I want to train you into being a proper magic user. This is a one-time deal, and I won't offer it again. So, are you willing to study the ways of the Arcane under me or not?" Baba asked as Lisa didn't hesitate since this was literally a quest for her to do.
"I'll train under you Baba. I can wait to train under your brother…Wait your brother is Muten Roshi?" Lisa asked as that thought had just clicked into her head as Baba sighed.
"You're a bit slow on the take it seems but we can work on that later. Right now, I am going to see exactly how much magical talent you have." Baba said before she clapped her hands together as her body became enveloped in a light blue light before the light floated away from her body and to the left side of her as the light took physical shape and form into a duplicate of Baba herself as the two of them looked identical and Lisa wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if it hadn't been for the duplicates title saying Mystical Illusion under its name.
"Whoa." Lisa said in shock and awe as the illusion made its way outside towards the crowd of people waiting.
"Follow me girl." Baba said as she started floating away as Lisa quickly followed.
"My name is Lisa by the way." Lisa said but it seemed as if Baba didn't care in the slightest. Soon enough the two of them made it to Baba's fighting arena which was a tiled circular ground built above the river behind her palace.
"This is my fighting arena. You are going to go up against one of my fighters and you can only use magic. No life force energy at all or I'll kick you out. I expect you to take this Arcane training seriously." Baba said as Lisa nodded her head.
"I understand but what about weapons? I have two magical weapons that I can use, or should I not use those?" Lisa asked.
"If they are indeed magical than you can use them. I'll know if they are not and punish you accordingly." Baba warned as Lisa swallowed some saliva in her mouth before reaching into her Inventory and equipped her weapon Frost Pain and held it with both hands as she made her way to the center of the arena as Baba had sent one of her ushers to fetch a fighter and soon enough a bat came flying towards the arena and in a large explosion of smoke the bat had changed into a man in green boxer shorts with purple boxing gloves over his hands and fighting tapped wrapped around his feet and the lower half of his legs.
Dracula, Level: 42
Count Dracula
Lisa felt a cold shiver run down her spine as she looked at the man behind the legend of vampires. The person who would place people on stakes and suck their blood.
"Begin!" Baba shouted as Dracula rushed Lisa with blinding speed as Lisa barely had time to swing her sword towards Dracula who easily evaded and struck Lisa in the side with a powerful punch that sent her tumbling to the side a bit before Lisa focused and ignored the pain as she activated Mana Shield over her skin as she was quickly assaulted with a flurry of punches from Dracula as she raised her sword to try and block the punches but Dracula maneuvered around her and punched each exposed weak point with ease as her shield absorbed a lot of the damage before Dracula had enough of it. He went for a sweeping kick that Lisa jumped over but in one rapid move he got up and kicked her, which shattered her shield and sent her skidding backwards on the ground.
Lisa noticed that Dracula was hardly even trying right now as Lisa reapplied her Mana Shield before stashing her sword away in her Inventory since it seemed that she wouldn't be hitting Dracula with it anytime soon. So, this time she pulled her hand back and cast Sizzle before throwing it at the vampire who didn't bother dodging the fireball and instead he punched it and destroyed it as Lisa tried rushing him while being hidden behind the fireball as it went towards him and Lisa managed to land a few blows of her own before Dracula tried punching her again but this time Lisa had managed to adapt to Dracula's speed a little bit as she barely avoided a punch to the face as her shield took the damage from the graze as Lisa grabbed Dracula's exposed arm with both hands before turning around and throwing him over her shoulder which sent him onto the ground as Lisa than decided to put on the pressure by delivering a elbow to Dracula's chest.
The blow struck hard but with using Ki Lisa knew it did little to no damage as she rolled away to gain some distance as Dracula hopped up to his feet as if the blows hadn't even hurt him which they might not have even done as Lisa prepared to fire another Sizzle spell at Dracula before Baba shouted.
"Enough! This fight is over!" Baba shouted as Dracula just looked at Lisa with annoyance before he walked over to Baba. "Go rest up Dracula. I'll call on you later to deal with some annoying customers." Baba told him as Dracula turned back into a bat and flew away as Lisa now walked up to the woman.
"I'm going to go with a wild guess and say that you aren't impressed." Lisa said as she dropped her shield spell and looked at Baba who let out a sigh.
"No, I'm not. Your use of magic is crude and very basic. So, it seems to me that we will have a long way to go in terms of training you into a proper magic user. Follow me and I will show you to the study where you will begin your lessons on the fundamentals of mana and the arcane arts." Baba said as she led Lisa into a small room of books where Lisa began her studies.

Baba's Palace
It had been two months since Lisa started her training and during that time she had informed Baba as well as the other fighters about the demon kind Verda and her quest to stop him and after that Baba had told her that she would start investigating the threat and that Lisa needs to temporarily put it aside and focus on her training which she did and during this time she had not only increased her knowledge and magical power but she also learned new spells to use.
Now right now Lisa is in the center of the fighting arena mediating and not only levelling up the skill but she is also levelling up a skill she had been neglecting in the form of Focused Breathing and after her studies she learned how breathing could not only enhance her physical abilities but it could also enhance her mental and spiritual abilities aka her mana and mana skills which had evolved the skill despite not giving it a new name. Her enhanced mana and Ki regeneration would have her regain energy faster than her focused breathing would deplete the energy therefore she could keep it active constantly as long as she doesn't spam other skills as well.
The passive effect that allowed this was the two passive skills she earned after her INT and WIS had reached a certain threshold.

These two passive skills helped Lisa a lot during her training to the point that she wondered if Baba had actually been starting to like her.
"Lisa fortune teller Baba wished to have a word with you." A familiar voice said as Lisa stopped meditating but kept up her enhanced breathing as she stood up and looked at the Ghost Usher near her.
"Lead the way little guy." Lisa said with a smile as she was soon led into the main room of the palace where she saw fortune teller Baba with a serious look on her face.
"Lisa Your training has been short, but you have learned a great deal. You can stand to learn more, but it seems as if time is not on our side at the moment. I have learned that your old friends of the Red Ribbon Army have also studied the Arcane and have generated a hybrid of technology and magic in order to create portals to the demon realm and that is how this demon lord plans to come to Earth and invade." Baba said bluntly as Lisa's eyes went wide as she bawled up her fists after her eyes narrowed as her shock turned into silent rage.
"I see." Lisa said simply before Baba continued.
"You're a decent magic user like my fighters now and I am giving you a chance to put your skills to the test. Your magical abilities have grown to the point that they will be able to protect you from standard arms, but I still advise you to proceed with caution." Baba said with a heavy breath. "I am sending you to deal with one of the portals at a Red Ribbon location while my other fighters deal with the other three portals."

"I won't let you down." Lisa said in her own serious tone of voice as Baba nodded her head.
"I'm sure you won't. Now here is the location." Baba said before she showed Lisa where to go thanks to her crystal ball and sure enough Lisa summoned the Nimbus cloud and started making her way to the Red Ribbon base as fast as the Nimbus cloud could take her and sure enough, she reached the destination near the outskirts of South City. This base is far enough away from the city and neighboring cities to avoid the detection of the law, but Lisa wasn't like a policeman and actually had access to their location as she landed the Nimbus cloud down in a thick pile of tress and bushes before sending it away before she slowly made her way towards the base.
This base was a moderate-sized compound of sorts and is surrounded by metal walls with a large gate in the front to allow soldiers in and out as Lisa thought about what she was about to do at the moment.
"These people are trying to bring a demon lord to earth in order to cause death and destruction so they can rule…I won't hold myself back against them." Lisa said firmly as she took a deep breath before she focused Ki into her hands in order to form a Ki Ball and slowly she fed the ball more and more energy until it grew to be the size of a small car as her hand was upwards in the sky which made the Ki Ball stand above her head as she focused and thought that something like this would blow a hole in the gate and maybe cause some backlash but Lisa wanted to be positive about it and thought about what a videogame hero would do for a attack like this and sure enough she focused some more and made the massive Ki Ball spin as fast as possible as Lisa felt wind around her legs pick up along with a few leaf's due to the rapid rotation of the Ki Ball as she than got ready and threw it at the exposed gate to the compound.
"Ha!" Lisa shouted as she launched the attack and sure enough it landed on the mark and there was a massive boom noise followed by several alarms and some more explosion which means that Lisa's attack has caused some form of reaction by hitting nearby tech and caused it to explode as well.

Lisa ignored the skill alert as well as the EXP gains she had just gotten as she rushed into the place with her Ki Sprint as she saw the courtyard of the compound now in ruins as tanks had blown up and several soldiers are dead on the ground as they had been caught up in the explosions or the fire that had been caused as Lisa also noticed flames all around as other soldiers rushed to the courtyard and saw her.
"Fire!" One soldier shouted before Lisa casted Mana Shield over herself three times to ensure no bullets hit her as her shield has gotten insanely strong by training against Baba's fighters and now the bullets hardly scratched her shield as she rushed the forces and activated her Full Body Enhancement skill as she assaulted the soldiers and one by one they all fell into either unconsciousness or death from Lisa's blows as Lisa had attacked the last standing soldier with a powerful punch to his stomach which caused him to vomit up blood and fall onto the ground.
"Now that you all have been dealt with its time for me to put an end to this plan of yours." Lisa said as she ran around the compound making her way past various defenses and a few remaining soldiers with little to no issue until she came to the big boss room as she saw the portal in the center of the massive room at the end of the compound.
The portal is circular and a metallic chrome color as it stands on a large platform and has some magical runes etched into it and next to it is a large series of computers as the portal was currently active as it showed a swirling vortex of red and orange energy. Lisa had long since deactivated her active skills as she walked to the computers and looked to destroy them before she heard someone step into the room and when she turned around she saw the person who had entered this battle-ball field sized room and scanned him.

Lisa activated her Full Body Enhancement technique along with her Mana Shield as she got into a combat stance when Silver came near her with a pissed off look on his face.
"It's not every day that someone storms into my compound and dispatches my soldiers with ease. Why don't you tell me who you are before I kill you with my bare hands." Silver said coldly and with a sadistic smile.
"You talk to much." Lisa said as she rushed him with a roundhouse kick aimed at his head as Silver managed to duck underneath the kick and counter with his own as Lisa took a leap to the side to gain some distance since that kick had put a crack in her shield. However, Silver pursued her and attacked with a flurry of blows that eventually broke Lisa's shield, but she certainly wasn't in a one-sided fight as she ducked and parried some of his blows before counter attacking with her own until she hit him with a high knee strike which sent him stumbling backwards as Lisa prepared one of her new spells.
"Mystify." Lisa cast as she aimed her hand at Silver and inflicted him with an illusion. The illusion was of him being trapped in a dark and enclosed space with no way in or out and with no light to speak of.
Baba called the illusion basic and bland, but Lisa thought of her spells in a more practical sense than Baba as Lisa then saw Silver running around and cursing her name as Lisa smiled and prepared another spell as she harnessed heated mana into her hand that took the form of a arrow.
"Fire Bolt." Lisa cast as she threw the arrow made of fire magic at Silver who stood no chance as it hit him in the chest and not only sent him back but it made his clothes quickly catch on fire as the pain broke her illusion as Silver now tried to put out the flame but it was already to late for him as Lisa had taken out Frost Pain from her Inventory and rushed Silver as he got up and in one quick slice his head was sliced off of his body and it rolled onto the ground.

Lisa took a heavy breath as she made her way back over to the computers that control the portal and with Frost Pain raised above her head she brought it down on the computers as sparks came out of the now broken machine but Lisa didn't stop as she hacked and slashed away at the computers until they were all broken as the mechanical portal gave off loads of sparks before shutting down as the portal seemed to deactivate.
"That puts an end to any demon lord nonsense." Lisa said as she took a few breaths before thinking about what she had just done and how she managed to singlehandedly take down a Red Ribbon army base. "Thanks to these powers I really have come a long way."
Before Lisa could celebrate the portal had suddenly sparked once again and come back to life which shocked and confused Lisa.
"Fool. This portal already serves as my anchor." A dark and sinister voice said loudly as a being stepped out of the portal.
This being looked humanoid at least but Lisa knew that it isn't human as he has a muscular build as he is also sporting some dark metallic and spiky armor covering his body but the parts of his body that are visible show that his skin is a dark red color as he is also carrying a sword in his hand that looks to be stainless steel somehow as the hilt looked to be in the shape of a star while the blade also has some runes placed onto it.
Knoz, Level: 25
Soldier of Verda
"So, your one of Verda's generals?" Lisa asked as she activated her Mana Shield and Full Body Enhancement once again as she tightly gripped Frost Pain.
"Indeed, I am, and it seems like the foolish humans have already been delt with. The idiots. Thinking Verda could help them rule when he is the one that shall rule over this planet." Knoz said as he looked down at Silver's corpse.
"Well, I don't plan on letting Verda get his hands on Earth or anyone else. I'm going to stop you demons here and now." Lisa said defiantly as Knoz simply laughed.
"Another pitiful human. Maybe losing a limb and sending you to the flesh pits will teach you your place." Knoz said as his feet hovered off the ground before he rushed Lisa as she raised her sword and blocked Knoz's strike which had been more than she bargained for as she tumbled on the ground and barely avoided getting stabbed as she kept rolling and evading each of Knoz's stab attempts until she found an opening and was able to get up and strike back with her own sword strike.
'His level is high, but his strength isn't too far above mine. I noticed this with a lot of people and that means that level doesn't play as much of an important role as I thought compared to the actual stats of the person.' Lisa thought to herself as Knoz once again went to slice at Lisa which she countered with Frost Pain as both swords started giving off steam when they connected as the blade Knoz used became engulfed in fire which made Lisa jump back as she readied her hand.
"Mystify." Lisa cast as the spell landed and the demon was now under her spell but when Lisa went to slice him with her sword he broke out of the illusion and sent her back with a strong kick that shattered her Mana Shield.
"That illusion was child's play compared to a real magic users' power. Your nothing but an annoying novice." Knoz said as he pointed his blade at Lisa as it fired small balls of fire towards her which made her once again cast Mana Shield as the fire balls quickly hit her but thanks to her shield, she was able to absorb the brunt of the damage.
"My turn." Lisa said as she pointed her sword at the demon and focused her mana. "Icy Burst!" Lisa shouted as the sword let out a torrent of ice spikes from the ground that headed towards Knoz as he used his flaming sword to counter the attack with his own explosive burst of flames as a flaming barrier formed around him which prevented the ice from attacking him.
"That sword. Doesn't belong to you. Where did you get it?" Knoz asked in a voice of pure rage and hatred as he lowered his flaming barrier while Lisa kept calm and tried thinking of what else she could do right now.
"I got it from a demon I killed. Why does it matter to you?" Lisa asked as she prepared to charge him once again.
"That sword belonged to Bo'Ka. You killed him and took his sword." Knoz said as he raised his flaming sword towards Lisa. "In his name I will drench my sword with your blood and take that sword back."
"Bring it!" Lisa shouted as she rushed Knoz while he did the same and sure enough they clashed swords once more but this time Lisa only used one hand as she held the sword in her right hand and with her left she focused and created a Ki Ball that she sent directly into Knoz knee cap which made him stagger a bit from the sudden shock as Lisa didn't waste her chance as she thrust her sword forward into arguably the weakest part of his armor which was his codpiece as he screamed in pain before Lisa focused once more. "Icy Burst." Lisa cast and sure enough Knoz was frozen to the ground with his legs being the first to freeze entirely before his armor was soon engulfed in ice.
After that Lisa took a big jump backwards and knew that the demon was still alive and so she quickly focused on using the skill she had created in order to get into this compound in the first place as she stored away Frost Pain and focused both her hands forwards and once again created a massive ball of rotating Ki energy that she launched at the demon and the resulting blast had sent Lisa backwards and skidding on the ground for a moment before she opened her eyes and saw new alerts.

Lisa took a massively big breath before she walked over to the small crater she had created on the ground as Knoz was a corpse on the ground as his lower half was completely vaporized in the blast and only left purple blood as a result and his upper body looked to be heavily damaged from the brunt force of her attack and even his magical sword was broken now.
Lisa took one glance back at the portal and saw that it was now shut off for good, but the confusing thing was that her quest wasn't completed, nor had it failed.
"We are missing something. I need to go back to Baba." Lisa said as she used Ki Sprint to quickly escape the compound before calling the Nimbus again as she headed off towards Baba's palace to tell her what just happened and that something about this doesn't seem right in the least.

A/N: Calling it here I'm afraid. Now I know cliffhangers suck but they are a necessity in good stories, and I want this story to be good. So, it is September in this dragon ball story which is when the original canon starts but as you can see things aren't happening in canon because Lisa's powers and the changes, she is making are changing up the timeline.
Is this an epic foreshadowing into some Xenoverse drama? Well, you'll just have to wait and find out in the much later chapters.
