Chapter 13 If girls just want to have fun
Brandons´s phone vibrated.
Reluctantly he removed his hand from his wife´s naked body and reached for his phone. He saw his father´s face on the display.
„What´s Jim doing so early?" he mumbled.
Kelly slowly moved against his chest and kissed him sleepily on it.
„It´s Saturday. We don´t have to get up. It´s still too early."
Brandon checked his watch. It was 7 a.m. They had about half an hour before the boys woke up.
„Don´t answer yet. We´re still sleeping." Kelly continued to kiss his chest.
„I don´t intend to."
Brandon pulled her lips to his.
Her body was still so nice and warm and soft. Her lips too.
„You spoil me." Kelly kept her eyes closed.
„I´m doing my best." Brandon murmured in her ear and slowly he slid into her.
Their hands and fingers intertwined. But then Brandon´s thrusts got harder. Kelly loved it. Even after fourteen years of marriage, they swung from chandeliers.
Their climax came and Kelly couldn´t stop smiling. Oh yes, their morning ritual. It was a little shorter but very passionate. A few minutes later they heard the boys.
They got up and Kelly changed into her nightgown.
„Fine, I´ll give Jim a call." Brandon swung himself out of bed and found his boxers.
Kelly joined the boys in the kitchen.
„Hi Dad. What´s up?" Brandon grinned down the phone.
„Mom is staying with Iris in Hawaii right now and I thought I´d take advantage oft he time and spend some time with my boys." Jim sounded cheerful.
„So you´re already in Beverly Hills?" Brandon raised his eyebrow.
„Yes, I arrived last night."
Brandon didn´t see that his father was sitting in the hotel room having breakfast.
„And what exactly do you intend to do?"
„I wanted to play golf with you and Dylan. If you would like. I´ve already texted him. I´m waiting for his call."
Brandon smirked on the phone.
If Dylan and Brenda had the same morning ritual it would be a while before Dylan call back.
„Yeah Dad. No problem." Brandon ran his fingers through his hair and watched Kelly and his boys. „I guess Kelly doesn´t mind."
„Fine. At 10?"
„Sure." Brandon hoped Dylan would come with him. He hated golf.
„So, is Jim bored?" Kelly smirked at him.
„Yes, Mom is travelling." Brandon laughed.
Luckily Dylan had mercy on his father-in-law. Brandon would pick him up on the way to the golf course. Of course not without a goodbye kiss from Brenda. They made a very relaxed impression. Apparently they actually had the same morning ritual.
On the golf course, Jim´s welcome was very warm. He was particularly pleased Dylan was there too.
„The loser pays or how is that?" Dylan was already laughing.
„Dylan, we´re being kind to you today." Jim winked at him.
As soon as Dylan had struck the first punch, his father-in-law started.
„Tell me Dylan, is Toni already interested in boys?"
„For God´s sake no. She is my little girl. She should wait until I´m dead." Dylan laughed heartily.
„When I think about her having your genes…if she´s anything like Brenda and you…then be careful." Jim raised his eyebrow.
„We were older."
„You didn´t wait long." Jim winked at him.
„That hasn´t changed to this day." Dylan winked at him back.
„I hear Stevie Sanders is interested?" Brandon smiled.
„Steve Sanders?" Jim was horrified.
„No, Steve Sanders jr. But everyone just calls him Stevie." Brandon explained to his father.
„He and Toni already sent messages to each other this morning. Toni wants to visit him at home. Stevie seems very excited."
„Toni enlightened?" Jim looked at Dylan.
„She´s fourteen. It´s an afternoon at his parents´s house and Steve and Janet are there too. What is going to happen?"
„Will the circle ever be broken?" Brandon laughed.
„I hope. If we didn´t make it, at least our kids did." Dylan looked at him.
„You and Bren didn´t have to stay together. You started."
„Actually, Kelly and Steve started it."
„The clique didn´t exist then."
„You didn´t have to take Kelly." Dylan winked at his brother-in-law.
„Well, Brenda and you have been such a good role model. Besides, she´s a spring queen."
The two exchanged a high five.
As the men were playing golf, Brenda and Kelly took the opportunity to invite Ruby to the mall with them and their kids.
A little family outing.
The boys went to the video games and the girls to the clothes and perfumes.
Toni had to think about her date with Stevie at afternoon. But Brenda told her right away not to be upset.
There was a lot going on in the shopping mall. Apparantly, many women have fun with their children. The kids found it exciting.
Toni, Sheila and Ruby rummaged through the shelves, tried on dresses and laughed a lot. Kelly watched her niece. Ruby explained to Toni and Sheila what to look out for when choosing clothes.
„There are my Mom´s clothes." Ruby pointed to a small table with Donna´s photo on it. Underneath the writing „Now wear this".
„This is great stuff." Sheila was thrilled.
Yes, Donna had a talent for fashion.
„We can take some things with us. I´ll get that for free." Toned Ruby.
„Donna taught you a lot already." Kelly praised.
„Yes, unfortunately we don´t often go shopping together. But Dad always says I can take Mommy´s card."
„David does a lot with you, doesn´t he?"
„Yes." Ruby looked down. „But not that much anymore. He´s been sleeping quite a lot during the day lately."
„Ruby, if you don´t know where to go…you can always come to us." Kelly looked at her.
„Or to us. Sheila is happy." Brenda offered as well.
„Thanks, but Conzuela will take care of me then."
„Hey, do we all want to eat pizza together?"
„That would be great."
Kelly´s and Brenda´s phones vibrated. „Oh no. Dylan loses golf with Dad." Brenda laughed.
„Brandon took a great photo." Kelly laughed too.
„Mom, it´s about time." Toni looked at Brenda.
„I´m just taking Toni away for a moment. I´ll be right back." Brenda notified Kelly.
Brenda just wanted to take Toni to Stevie´s and then come straight back to the mall.
Janet opened the front door.
„Hi Toni. Come in. Stevie is upstairs."
Shyly, Toni entered her mother´s former parents´ house. But as soon as she was inside, Stevie ran down the stairs.
„Hi Toni."
„Hi."
„Come on, I´ll show you my room." Stevie pulled Toni up with him.
Toni was amazed.
Technology was everywhere. She felt like she was in a spaceship. Excited, Stevie showed her everyting he had on game consoles and other things. And that was a lot. Toni looked around. There wasn´t a single book in his room. And that where Toni loved books so much. Instead, only expensive model cars in all sizes. There was a knock at the door.
„Come in." Stevie called.
The door opened and Steve Sanders walked in. He beamed at Toni. Toni smiled too. Steve Sanders looked just like her parents´ photos.
„Hi Toni. Nice you´re here. I have prepared something for you."
Steve placed a large bowl of sandwiches and lemonade in front of them.
„Thanks Steve." Toni smiled shyly at him.
„No problem." He continued to look at Toni.
Though she resembled her father most, Steve thought of Brenda when he saw her.
Before the break became embarrassing, Steve said goodbye again.
Toni took a sandwich and sat on Stevie´s bed.
„Don´t you have any books?" She asked, chewing.
„Not directly. If I want to read, I´ll do it by e-book." Steve replied, biting into a sandwich as well.
„And where is your sister´s room?"
„Through the bathroom."
„May I have a look?"
„I don´t think she minds." Steve shrugged.
Toni walked through the bathroom into Maddy´s room. It was the complete contrast to Stevie´s room. Toni went to the big bookshelf. It all sounded so interesting. Stevie found that she didn´t like his room. Toni took a book from the shelf and leafed through it. She sniffed the sides. She loved the smell of books. Then, the door opened and Toni was startled.
A tall older girl, also brunette, with a slight asian face, stood in front of her.
„Toni?"
„Hi Maddy."
„What are you doing in my room?"
„I asked Stevie. He said yes." Toni shrugged.
„You don´t like Stevie´s room, do you?" Maddy became forgiving.
„No. Too much technology. Kyle doesn´t have that much in his room."
„Did you find a book?"
„Yes." Toni showed her which one she had in her hand.
„You´re welcome to borrow it if you like."
„Honest?"
„Yes. If you give it back to me at some point, that´s enough." Maddy winked at Toni.
„Thanks."
„You´re welcome to look around if you like."
„I already have, thanks." Toni looked at the book. „I think I should go back to Stevie."
„Have fun with the little one." Maddy laughed at her.
Toni turned around.
„If he´s annoying, come over to me."
Toni laughed too.
When she opened the door to Stevie´s room, Stevie sat helplessly on his bed. He was visibly uncomfortable Toni didn´t feel comfortable with him. Toni put the book in her bag, grabbed another sandwich and went to the model cars.
„May I touch them?"
„Of course." Stevie came over to her.
Toni grabbed a Corvette.
„My Dad used to have them. When he was in high school."
„I know. I saw these in Mom´s photo album."
Stevie stood behind her and touched her back. Toni took another car off the shelf. She looked closely. Then she looked up and saw Stevie standing right in front of her. He looked into her eyes and at her mouth.
„Do you want to kiss me?"
Stevie felt embarrassed. Yes, he wanted to kiss her. But now he didn´t dare anymore.
Instead, he took another car and showed her what features it had.
„You also have a big garden, don´t you?"
„Yes, I show you."
They took their glasses and went into the big garden. Steve was cleaning the pool.
„And did the sandwiches taste good?"
„Yes, they were delicious. Thank you." Toni smiled at Steve again.
„If it weren´t so cold I would have fixed the pool for you."
„How long have you had it?"
„Not long. A year."
„The house looks good. It turned out beautiful." Toni knew the house from the family album.
„Yes, you can tell Brenda we´ll take good care of it." Steve laughed.
„Toni, shall we play Wii?" Stevie interjected.
„Yes, gladly."
Steve looked after the two. He saw through his son. Stevie wanted Toni´s attention. Steve watched his son as they played the Wii. He sought physical contact with Toni. Where she threw a strike, he hugged her for a long time. Toni was really pretty. Long brown hair, slim, smart, funny, charming, sweet. Dylan would have his hands full taming suitors.
Two hours later the doorbell rang.
A little later Toni saw her father coming into the living room.
„Hi Dad." Toni greeted him.
„Hi Dylan." Stevie greeted him.
„How was golfing with Grandpa?"
„Do not ask. Golfing isn´t my thing." Dylan laughed.
„Jim Walsh should have asked me. I would have destroyed him." Steve laughed too.
They exchanged a high five.
„Shall we go home? Dinner is coming soon."
„Yes Dad." Toni just ran upstairs and got her bag with the book.
She said a loving farewell to the Sanders and then left the house with Dylan.
Stevie watched them go. Steve stood behind him.
„You fell in love with her, didn´t you?"
„Yes, Dad." Stevie sounded sad.
„And do you mean her too?"
„I don´t know it. I tried earlier…but she caught me. Then I didn´t anymore."
„You will still have opportunities. First find out if she likes you too."
„In any case, we have no common interests."
„I don´t want to take away your illusion, but that´s bad. You need a lot of things in common to be in a relationship."
„Can we make a barbecue again?"
„I wanted to do one anyway. We haven´t had one for a long time. Next weekend."
„I´ll tell Toni." Stevie beamed.
„Do not you need. I´ll send a mail to all."
As Dylan and Toni drove home, Dylan wanted to know how their date was. Toni fell right in with the door.
„Stevie wanted to kiss me." She looked at her father.
„And you?"
„Not me. I asked him directly and then he backed off."
„He can´t get that from his father. Steve never asked, just did it."
„I´m glad it didn´t happen."
„You don´t like Stevie, do you?"
„I already like him. But only as a friend."
„Then you have to tell him. Otherwise this will always stand between you and he gets his hopes up."
„I know." Toni looked down. „Do you like Stevie?"
„I like him. He´s still so awkward and clumsy. It´s welcome to stay that way." Dylan laughed.
At home, Toni immediately told her mother about the afternoon. Brenda just chuckled.
And while Toni brought her book to her room, Brenda greeted her husband.
„And you had a great day at the golf course?" Brenda chuckled.
„No comment." Dylan was still frustrated.
„Then I´ll have to comfort you later." Brenda gave him a promising look.
Their lips found each other.
And? How is the idea of Steve jr and Toni? I found it cute. Review please…
