Hey guys, I hope you are enjoying where we are going on this story. I know that it is taking time to get this story to you but I do hope that the wait has been worth it. Much love, RSD xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.
*The week later...*
It was now a Wednesday and a lot got done within connection to mine and Cedric's wedding, I invited Ginny over to help me with some planning which she was over the moon to do. When she arrived I made her a cup of tea and I sat down as she was flicking through wedding magazines in mine and Cedric's kitchen and we both smiled at each other.
"There was actually another reason why I asked you to come over-" I started.
"Right?" Ginny said slowly as she slowly pulled one brow up at me.
"You know I see you as a sister-" I began again. "I always have and I always will" I promised and I watched as a large grin started to spread across her face. "So it would mean a great deal to me-" I continued with a grin. "If you would be my maid of honour" I advised and I watched as her eyes lit up at this. "So?" I said slowly. "Would you be my maid of honour?" I questioned.
"Eeeeek!" she shrieked as she jumped up from her chair and she dove at me and pulled me into a tight hug.
"So is that a yes?" I chuckled as we rocked slightly for a few seconds before we broke apart and grinned at each other.
"Yes!" she exclaimed. "Yes! Yes! Yes" she chanted with a proud grin before she dropped her arms from me and she stood up straight.
"So yes then?" I teased as she dropped back into her chair.
"Yes that is a yes" she chuckled back at me. "I better get planning your hen party" she winked at me.
"Do I need to worry?" I questioned as I pulled one brow up at her.
"I'm not saying nothing" she smirked.
"Ginny" I warned her.
"Mione-" she replied. "Trust me to plan the hen party of your life?" she questioned.
"Yes" I nodded. "But I know what you are like" I teased.
"True" she nodded. "But I will do you justice, I promise" she promised me.
"Ok" I nodded back. "I guess I will leave you to it" I winked at her, which was met with another wink back. The conversation then was put to an abrupt end when we heard tapping at the window and when I opened the window I grinned when I saw Professor McGonagall's owl jump onto the kitchen bench. I eagerly took the letter that the owl was carrying and read it. Ginny asked if everything was ok and I quickly told her that me and Cedric had asked Professor McGonagall to officiate our wedding and she agreed. Me and Ginny then went on to put the guest list together and I couldn't stop the excitement from showing. Now that the planning process has started mine and Cedric's wedding was starting to feel real, and it was making me look even more forward to our wedding day - if that was even possible!
*A few days later...*
I was now in a shop called Wedding Witches Fancies, and I was there with my mother, Ginny, Mrs Weasley and Mrs Diggory. We were currently looking for my wedding dress, and in all honesty I didn't really know what I was looking for but I had been told that when I saw the dress I would do. I really hoped that this was the case as I wanted this wedding dress to be perfect as I wanted mine and Cedric's wedding day to be perfect as I was marrying my best friend.
Initially we looked at a few dresses and decided on a couple that I wanted to try on, and I really liked them and I could see me marrying Cedric in both of them. The first dress was classic and elegant, with timeless corded lace long sleeves and pockets. The front top is lined at the side seams and has a very tasteful draped V-neckline. The white satin fabric skirt looks like it would elongate my body, while the hemline featured stunning cut out detailing accented with floating covered buttons and lace that trails down to a full skirt with a chapel train. The dress also had a scalloped, cut away lace train that is a romantic nod to the classic Nicole wedding dress style.
The second dress that I picked out had a bishop sleeve vintage wedding dress, it had all over lace, sheer lace bodice with a plunging illusion V-neckline. It also had a key hole back design with long illusion lace bishop sleeves and to finish the dress it was covered button over zipper closure. I loved both dresses, and I knew it shouldn't be on my mind but due to the fact that both dresses had sleeves or the illusion of having sleeves my 'Mudblood' scar was going to be covered - which only made these dresses even better in my eyes.
Me, Ginny and a member of staff went into the changing cubicle and they both helped me try on the first dress. When I was finally in this dress it was like something clicked, I didn't know that I would feel this way trying on a wedding dress - especially the first dress I tried on. I started to feel very excited to get out of this cubicle and with the others so I could see what I looked like in this dress. Yes I knew that it needed to be taken in slightly, but I really did have a good feeling about this dress.
"Are you ready out there?" Ginny called out to the very eager mothers that were waiting for me to do my big reveal.
"Yes!" they call called back eagerly.
"Oh this is very exciting" I heard my mother say.
"Yes it is" I heard Mrs Weasley say.
"Here we go" Ginny advised and the member of staff pulled the dark red curtain to the side and I stepped out and continued walking until I went onto the nearby platform. I looked over to the floor length mirror that was to the side and I smiled at the sight of me in this dress. My mind then started to wander on walking down the aisle with my father in this dress and I couldn't stop a large grin spread across my face.
"Oh Hermione" Mrs Diggory gasped.
"You look so beautiful" Mrs Weasley cooed, and I heard a noise and when I quickly looked over to my mother I could see that she was starting to cry.
"Oh mother" I cooed. "Why are you crying?" I enquired.
"It's just seeing you there in a wedding dress" she sniffed as she pulled a tissue out of a box that was on the glass coffee table that was in front of them. "My little girl is growing up" she said sadly.
"Hey!" Mrs Weasley said as both Mrs Diggory and Mrs Weasley both pulled my mother into a joint hug.
"Sorry my dear" my mother apologised as she tapped the tissue against her eyes. "These are happy tears" she explained. "I am so glad that you and Cedric found each other, you both have been through so much" she continued happily as she continued to dry her eyes. "And you both deserve every happiness" she finished kindly.
"Thank you mother" I replied. "What do you think?" I teased as I held my hand out slightly at my sides.
"It's beautiful" Mrs Diggory noted.
"But most importantly what do you think?" Mrs Weasley questioned.
"Hmm" I hummed as I looked back in the mirror and looked at myself in the dress. In all honesty I did like the other dress, however this dress just seemed so perfect that it felt wrong to look at other dresses. "I did pick out two dresses and this one was my favourite out of the two" I told them as I looked back at everyone. "And it looks even better on" I advised as I smooth the front of the dress down slightly. "Is it totally mad to say the first dress I try on is the one?" I questioned as I bit down on my bottom lip nervously.
"No" my mother quickly answered. "If you believe you have found your wedding dress, if that is the dress that you want to get married in. Then I think you have made a very good decision" she smiled happily at me.
"That dress looks perfect on you" Mrs Diggory interjected.
"Perfect choice" Mrs Weasley added.
"Thank you" I grinned as I looked at the mirror again and grinned at my wedding dress. "This is the dress" I confirmed as I looked back at them and they all shrieked in excitement at this. I grinned as I looked back at the mirror. Yes this was my wedding dress! And to be quite honest I couldn't wait for our wedding day now I couldn't wait for it all. The only issue that I had was that it wasn't coming quick enough, I guess that I was going to be patient - something of which I think I might be struggle with in the next coming weeks.
