The exiled heir and first in line for the throne of Kanto, prince Tate, did not acknowledge the new monarchs, and he mocked it by appealing to it as a "farce dynasty" built by the Shiro Edo clan to delegitimize the true rulers of Kanto.
During the conflict between the Shiro Edo and the exiled Sakura Fuji, the Ubameist Temple of Tokiwa decided to side with the Sakura Fuji, while the soranist Grand Monk Serio and the rest of the priestly caste acknowledged the rule of the Shiro Fuji.

Instead of being celebrated at the end of winter, it was now celebrated at the beginning of winter and instead of thanking both the Almighty Sinnoh and Shaymin, the two main figures of Thankfulness were replaced by the native to Johto Delibird.
The Delibirds were Pokémon known for their altruism, they often helped humans and Pokémon during the winter season by giving them materials or food they needed to survive the winter, for this reason, they were considered divinities, and it was strictly forbidden to hunt them (even predatory Pokémon avoided hunting them)
Later, these holidays were exported all over the world by northerners who visited these regions, and were fascinated by the concept of "Day of Thankfulness"

The Alphian Empire greatly benefitted from these new inventions, especially to move their Pokémon armies quickly.
The Alphian Heavenly Empire, fearing that other kingdoms might use their new invention against them, forbade hiwadian artisans from selling Aprispheres to other regions.
However, the prohibition proved useless, in a few years, the Kingdom of Florabeta, through the use of spies of the Asukana dynasty, was able to import the technologies, craftsmen, and materials necessary to start its own production of Aprispheres which were then sold all over the Eastern Ocean.

After setting off the fire, Lugia, distressed, flew away to the Whirl Islands, abandoning its now ruined tower forever.
Ho-Oh also returned to Enju (Ecruteak) and used his power to resurrect the three Pokémon by fusing them with the souls of the other victims of the Great Fire, giving birth to the Legendary Beasts Trio.
After the disaster, the Soulsilver Matriarch Ina, dissolved the Brass Tower Temple after the departure of Lugia, despite the opposition of the emperor Komakiyama, there was no attempt to rebuild the Brass Tower, the Tin Temple Tower was left the only remaining tower temple of Enju (Ecruteak).
The Stormy Night Benkei was disbanded as well, and the Yami clan fell to disgrace and lost their daimyo status, the Yami clan was mostly blamed for the incident and the then clan leader, Sonburi Yami, committed seppuku in order to cleanse its clan from the shame.
Still, that wasn't enough for the many that blamed the incident on the clan, and the Yami clan ended up turning to thievery and banditry once again as a means to survive.

After more than 600 years of domination of the Far Eastern, the Alphian Empire was once again reduced to its regional borders.
Despite the division between the kantonese and johtian daimyo clans, the kantonese Ryuu clan branch still manages to hold relationships with the head clan residing at Fusube (Blackthorn).
1715:
02/05 Swellor Ho-oh after recovering from the fight against Lugia, suddenly leaves both the emperor Nijo and the Heartgold Matriarch Odani, flying away to an unknown location.
1718: 12/07 Exeggutlier The arrival of a fleet of galarian ships commanded by Sir Gineprus Spikeville threw the Alphian Empire into chaos.
The Galarian government aimed to impose its commercial hegemony over the Johto region.
The empire, having no defense against Gineprus gunboats, was forced to accept the unequal treaties.
This event, together with the recent abandonment of Ho-oh, was taken as the ultimate sign of the decline of the imperial house.
End of the Heavenly Period.
