"FINE-SAMA! REIN-SAMA! COME BACK!" Camelot shouted loudly on the balcony of the castle as the group were on board the Sunny Kingdom airship as the flew to the Flame Kingdom for the next Princess Party.
"Sheesh, that lady really needs a chill pill," Sonic said, leaning on the wall.
"Well, she is their caretaker of course," Double-D said, now dressed fancy along with the Eds. Truth and Elsa had seen fit to give the boys some nice clothes to better fit in
"Well, it's not our fault those two are trouble." Eddy said as a shoe hits his head. "Ow! Sheesh, I can't believe you made us dress like this Sockhead, but I ain't complaining since everyone will see my good looks."
"I can't wait!" Fine said as she and Rein changed into their gowns. "This time I'll definitely eat something delicious when we arrive at the Flame Kingdom."
"Wasn't the Flame Fried Rice tasty enough?" Knuckles asked.
"No thank you, I don't want to eat that anymore..."
"Yeah, It felt like my intestines were melting." Eddy said.
"Looks like you couldn't take the heat," Sonic snarked as Fine pouted.
Eddy growled. "Shaddup, Mr. Needlemouse!"
"I would love to dance with Bright-Sama again. This time I would be so elegant, So perfect!" Rein dreamily said as she thought about dancing with Bright, twirling in excitement. "Oh how fabulous it would be!"
"Oh well she's gone off into her own world again." Fine said as the group chuckled.
"Flame Kingdom, straight ahead!" Tails said as he drove the airship.
"Quick, slow, quick, slow." Rein sang.
"Something delicious! Something delicious!" Fine sang as the twins playfully danced with each other. Fine made Rein spin, but the blue twin got dizzy and stumbled to Tails.
"Hey, be careful!"
Tails pulled one of the controls too hard which made the airship speed up straight to the kingdom, making them scream as they held on to things.
"Tails!" Sonic shouted.
"I got it!"
"Whoa! Steady down there!" Eddy cried.
"Let's sing a song!" Ed exclaimed happily.
Tails managed to regain control of the ship, but it crashed to a tree. The denizens of the Flame Kingdom looked at the ship in concern as Fine and Rein dizzily stepped out.
"Hello... we're honored to... meet you..."
"Woah, be careful next time, kids." Sonic said as the twins tumbled down and landed in a heap.
"I claim this land for Spain...!" Double-D woozily slurred as he stumbled down as well.
Lione ran up to them. "Are you okay, everyone?"
"Still in one piece, Lione." Sonic said, rubbing his head.
"Granddad... you ran another stop sign." Eddy groaned as he tried to steady himself with Luigi supporting him.
"Oh, how embarrassing!" They turned to see Altezza frowning. "But this is exactly what one would expect from the most unprincesslike princess in the history of the Mysterious Star. You people accompanying them are no better."
"Watch your mouth, Little Miss Fluffyhead!" Eddy snapped, regaining his bearings.
"What did you say to me!?" Atlezza yelled.
"Calm down, Atlezza." Bright said as his sister huffed, he then turned to the heroes. "Now, princess, may I take your hand?"
He offered a hand to Fine, but she flustered.
"Uh, don't worry I'm okay!"
"Thank you very much, Bright-Sama!" Rein happily said as she took the prince's hand.
"Sheesh, calm down Cinderella." Knuckles said with a chuckle.
"Oh, what does she think she's doing, being so flirtatious?" Altezza frowned with her arms folded.
The Princess Party was now commenced as trumpets were blown, the Flame Kingdom Royal Family coming out.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Flame Kingdom!" King Wohl announced as the audience clapped.
"Be princess-like, okay-pumo?" Poomo told Fine and Rein from his music box.
"I know, I know." The twins said as Poomo sighed.
"Do they really get it-pumo?"
"I hereby commence the second princess party!" King Wohl announced. "I hope you will all do your best with flaming passion! One, two, three... FIRE!"
He posed along with his son as fire erupted. Fine and Rein cried as they hugged each other... before dancing.
"Surprised, surprised! I was surprised! Surprised, surprised! I was surprised!"
"Ah, they're doing this again..."
"That's-a so cute." Luigi chuckled along with Mario.
"Now, let's begin the Princess Contest." Queen Nina announced.
"It shall be titled the Best Decor Princess Tournament." King Wohl continued.
"Let's see which princess can be the Best Decor?"
"First, I'd like to present you the princess of our Flame Kingdom; Lione!" King Wohl announced his own daughter as the audience applauded.
"Wow! Lione's so amazing!" Fine and Rein awed before Fine noticed a waiter with a plate of cake and backed away.
"Fine?" Tails turned to where the twin went and see the waiter giving her a plate of cake.
"Oh, come on Fine..." Rein sighed.
Fine looked at her cake happily and she heard chewing and turned to see Princess Milky chowing down on food.
"Babu?"
Fine and Milky stared at each other before glaring and then chowing down quickly on their food.
"I won't lose!" Fine cried.
"Babu-babu!"
"Hey look, it's a female Kirby." Sonic joked as he watched the eating contest going on.
"Poyo?" Kirby tilted his head in confusion.
"Fine! We're supposed to greet everyone before eating." Rein scolded before dragging her sister away.
"But Rein!"
Rein dragged Fine before noticing Altezza and the Seed Princesses.
"Oh! Look, it's the Jewelry Kingdom's table. The princesses of the Seed Kingdom are there too."
"Oh great, Little Miss Fluffyhead." Eddy groaned as he saw Altezza.
"Eddy, please be nice to the royalty of this planet." Double-D scolded.
"Well I sometimes get Sarah vibes from her."
Altezza showed off her jewelry collection to the Seed Princesses as they stared in awe.
"That's amazing Altezza!"
"I never seen this many pieces of jewelry!"
"Oh, this is only a very small portion of the wardrobe." Altezza said pridefully.
"Oh, hi, Fine, Rein!" Ichele, the pink-haired Seed Princess, greeted.
"We're pleased to meet you, everyone." The twins replied back.
"And don't forget the awesome heroes!" Eddy said, sliding in while trying to look cool as possible.
"Eddy, please be-a more humble than that." Mario chided as he and Luigi tipped their hats.
"We're pleased to meet you too!" The Seed Princess all greeted in unison.
"Wow! They're in better sync than we are!" Fine giggled.
"The 11 sisters are so impressive!" Rein noted.
"Oh, so you two are here to see my collection too, right?" Altezza asked proudly. "I'd be happy to let you look at it as much as you like."
"Th-thank you Altezza." Rein awkwardly said.
"Well, I'm more interested in the food than the jewelry." Fine noted as Altezza gave her an annoyed look.
"Honestly, I'm more interested in how much money these babies are worth." Eddy chuckled as he inpected the jewelry before being pulled back by Tails.
"Please, we're suppose to be heroes, not thieves!"
"Come on, I was just making an observation!"
More of the princesses were announced and showed off their decors, starting with Mirlo, who had a lovely ruby necklace.
"Wow, Mirlo's accessory is wonderful too, isn't it?" Rein gushed.
"Yes, it is!" The Seed Princesses chimed in excitement.
"Meh, a bit too simple looking in my opinion." Knuckles critiqued.
"I'm starting to want an accessory like that too," Ichele said as everyone noticed the decor the Seed Princesses wore, which was made from acorns and pinecones.
"These necklaces are made from the nuts we grew but..." Gorchel, the blonde-haired Seed Princess noted rather disappointed. "I'm afraid they may be a bit too plain for the party."
"I don't think so!" Rein said.
"Yeah, our friend Sticks would be pretty cool with them!" Sonic added.
"I know! Why don't we make some accessories right now?" Fine suggested.
"How do you propose we do that?"
Fine brought out the decor maker that Elsa had passed down to her and Rein and set it on the table.
"Let's make nice accessories with this Decor Maker!"
"Put some nuts or flower in it, we can make an accessory," Rein said.
"Really?" The Seed Princesses asked excitedly.
"Oooh! Magic Jewelry!" Ed said with invested interest.
"Anyway, let's give it a try!" Fine said as she and Rein put in the decor given to them by the Seed Princesses and cranked the lever on the Decor Maker.
Every watched with intrigue as the nuts went down the chamber before coming out, having been transformed into a gorgeous blue necklace with a magenta crystal star on it.
"It's a little smal though..." Tails noted.
"No, It isn't. It's the perfect size for us!" Gorchel pointed out.
"Well, that's just swell!" Mario smiled as Fine and Rein gave the necklace to Gorchel.
"You look wonderful!"
"Thank you, Fine, Rein!" Gorchel thanked.
"If that's the case, let's make some for the rest of you!" Double-D said as Fine and Rein excitedly nodded in agreement.
"Ladies, would you like to see my jewelry again?" Altezza called out, not liking being ignored.
"Don't have a bird, Little Miss Fluffyhead." Eddy scoffed as everyone looked at Altezza, who tried to save face.
"Ahem. Actually, there is a very special stone that you haven't seen yet."
Altezza proceeded to show a bust holding a bead necklace holding a purple-pink heart-shaped brooch.
"Oh, what a pretty necklace!" Ichele gushed.
"Awesome!"
"Brilliant!"
Altezza chuckled. "How do you two like my pretty necklace?"
"Heh, that'd sell for a million bucks for sure!" Eddy smirked.
"Fine, don't just go off to eat-a cake!" Luigi cried as he pulled Fine back in, the red twin having snuck off to get more cake.
Altezza scoffed at this. "I can't believe you. You don't even have an eye for jewelry, don't you?"
"Oh?' Fine said with a nasty glare.
"First of all, I'd like to mention there's no way a nut accessory could match one of mine."
"Well, there's no need to be rude about it." Double-D said with a disapproving look.
"Poyo...!" Kirby agreed with a grumpy face.
"Altezza."
Everyone turned to see Bright approaching them.
"Oniisama?"
"Altezza, a gem is a magic stone that reflects yout heart."
"A magic stone?"
Bright nodded. "Yes. No matter how large it is, a gem doesn't shine if the wearer's heart is cloudy."
"Heh, pretty flowery in my opinion." Eddy said with a roll of his eyes.
"Princess Peach will probably like him, huh Luigi?" Mario said to his brother, who nodded in agreement.
"Ooh, Bright-Sama is lways so gorgeous!" Rein swooned.
"There you go again..." Fine sighed.
"There's music in the trees!" Ed smiled as he looked between Bright and Rein.
Harney, the blue-haired Seed Princess turned around and gasped, letting out a cry of alarm that go everyone's attention.
"The necklace is missing!"
"What!?" Altezza cried as she looked closer to see Harney was right, her necklace had indeed vanished off the bust. "Oh no! My... my necklace!"
"Eddy!" Double-D snapped.
"What!? I didn't take it, honest!" Eddy protested.
Everyone had quickly gone to look for Altezza's missing necklace but no matter how hard they looked, it was nowhere to find. It was almost as if it had vanished off the face of the Mysterious Star.
"It's gone! It's nowhere to be found!" Altezza cried. "My necklace is gone!"
"Hey, Altezza, let's go look for it again." Fine suggested.
"Yeah, maybe it's still there," Mario said.
"I looked all over for it. And yet, I still can't find it!"
"Where in the world did it go?" Rein questioned.
"Don't cry, Altezza." Harney comforted her.
"Don't say things you don't mean." Altezza sniffed. "You're acutally thinking, "Serves you right," aren't you? Because I was showing off my jewelry..."
"No, believe us, we're not thinking that..."
"Hey, don't be like that, kid," Sonic said.
"Uh! Could it be that... you...?" Altezza turned to the Seed Princesses.
"Eh?"
"Yes, that must be it! You envied my necklace, so you stole it, didn't you!?"
"Eh? No way!" The Seed Princesses gasped.
"Altezza! Don't accuse them of stealing your necklace!" Double-D scolded.
"Yeah, and they don't look like they'll be stealing stuff from you!" Knuckles snapped.
"Yeah! They are too small and too cute to steal anything!" Ed said as he crouched down to pet the Seed Princesses' heads.
"Stop it already, Altezza." Bright spoke, wrapping his arms around her. "You know very well that the Seed Princesses would never do such a thing."
Altezza pushed him away and cried on the table. "How can I believe that?"
"Now, Altezza..." Lione comforted her as the Seed Princesses looked at each other in worry.
"Oh, what will we do?" Harney said.
"But, it's true we were the only ones on the table when the necklace went missing." Ichele said.
"It's only natural for Altezza suspect us."
"Yes." The Seed Princesses sighed.
"Oh don't be like that, all we need is some evidence," Sonic said.
"Yeah, we will track down the real thief of this case." Double-D nodded.
"Detective Heroes on the case!" Ed said as he donned a Sherlock Holmes hat and magnifying glass.
Fine and Rein looked at Altezza's sad look.
"What should we do?"
"What should we do?"
"What'll we do?"
"What'll we do?"
"How about..."
"...Giving it a try?"
"Let's try it!" The both took out their Sunny Luches.
"Fan fan Fine!"
"Ran ran Rein!"
Prominence dress up!"
The both transformed and held their scepters.
"Twin twinkle bloomish! Where is... Altezza's gem?"
They chanted as the magic sparkles flew into the air before forming into a sack that dropped to the ground.
"That surprised me!" Rein said as the group looked at the sack.
"Wh-what's this-pumo?"
"No idea."
"It looks like a sack," Sonic said.
Eddy gave the sack a light kick. "A sack of what?"
"I know! I bet the necklace is inside it!" Fine said as she opened it and poured out powder on a table, but no sight of the necklace. "No, it's not! Anyway, what's this powder?"
"Could it be sugar?" Luigi said as Rein pick it one up and eats it.
"Hmm, it appears to be bread crumbs."
"Bread crumbs? What is this suppose to mean-pumo?"
"Beats me..." Fine shrugged.
"Oh great, now what?" Knuckles said.
"Are you making croquettes at a time like this?" Altezza said.
Fine perked up at Altezza's words. "Ah! That's it!"
"What's it?" Eddy said.
"Nothing will happen if you do nothing! Let's make croquettes! Trying doesn't hurt!" Fine chimed.
"Croquettes?" Mario said, scratching his head.
"Lured by the delicious smell of croquettes, the one who stole the necklace might come back."
"Oh, that makes sense!" Rein said.
"Yeah, that's good thinking you two!" Sonic grinned.
"Are you... serious-pumo?"
"Well, it Wouldn't hurt to try, don't you think?" Double-D pointed out as Poomo sighed, realizing he had a point.
And so the twins began making the croquettes, but...
"Ouch!"
"Achoo!"
"Um, maybe Mario and I would handle making them." Luigi nervously said, watching the twins trying to cook.
"No thanks, we got this!"
"Why in the world are the princesses of the Sunny Kingdom making croquettes?" King Wohl arrived along with Nina and Tio.
"Well, they're doing it to find Little Miss Fluffyhead's necklace, Your Majesty." Eddy said.
"And why croquettes?"
"I have no idea."
Later, the twins finished making the croquettes and presented them in a basket.
"They're done!"
"The Sunny Kingdom's hot croquettes!"
"I don't know what's going on, but they look yummy!"
"Please have some, Your Majesty!"
"Let's eat!" King Wohl took one and eats it.
"It can't gurantee the taste-pumo." Poomo said as King Wohl turned white as a sheet.
"Argh!"
"Oh? You don't like it?" Fine said before eating one. "Ugh, this taste terrible!"
"That's what I was afraid of-pumo." Poomo sighed.
"They don't look that bad." Luigi said and eats one... before turning white like Wohl and falling on his side.
"Luigi!" Mario said as he ran up to his brother.
"Poyo!" Kirby ate some of the croquettes without a care in the world.
"Well, at least Kirby likes them..." Rein said with a sigh.
"Kirby can eat anything," Sonic said. "He can even eat the terrible cooking from his hometown's chef."
"Oh, well... what do they think they're doing?" Altezza frowned. "I wonder if they're really trying to find the culprit for me?"
"Hey, we're trying to, Little Miss Fluffyhead." Eddy growled.
Bright Spoke. "Altezza, I believe..."
"Eh?"
"...that you don't actually suspect the princesses of the Seed Kingdom."
But then, the mysterious boy that Fine, Rein, and the Heroes had met before walked by, which went unnoticed by the heroes.
"Hey, it's that suspicious guy!" Sonic pointed. "Maybe he took the necklace!"
"Let's get him!" Eddy said as the boy noticed them before running off.
"Wait up!" Bright went after him.
"He's the thief! THIEF!" Altezza shouted.
"What? A thief?" King Wohl said, now recovered from the bad croquette. "After him! After him!"
The guards went after the kid and so did the heroes, but the kid managed to escape them, but only to find himself surrounded by more guards.
"Alright pal, no more running." Sonic said.
"He's..." Fine looked at the suspicious kid in recognition before running up to him. "Hey, I always thought you were suspicious. Who are you?'
The suspicious kid said nothing as he looked away.
"He's not answering, which means he must be the culprit!" Altezza said.
"Answer me, did you steal Altezza's necklace?" Fine interrogated.
"Please, tell us the truth!" Rein said. "The princesses of the Seed Kingdom are being suspected, and they're in trouble!"
"Spit it out, kid." Knuckles growled as he punched his fists together. "Or no more Mr. Nice Guy from us."
But then, they heard cawing and see a flock of birds flying towards them, going for the box Rein was still holding.
"Evil Tim has beckoned them!" Ed said.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Eddy growled. "I HATE BIRDS!"
"They're flame birds!" Lione said as the flame birds began eating the croquettes, but they fainted just like Wohl and Luigi.
"Ah, they taste terrible for the birds too, I guess." Fine said as Eddy laughed at the birds.
"Ha! Take that you rats with wings!"
"Wait until you meet Jet the Hawk." Sonic snarked.
"Look!" Rein pointed at a red flame bird.
"That's Altezza's necklace!"
Altezza gasped and took it back. "I wonder why the flame bird took my necklace?"
"Oh yes, flame birds love anything that is bright red." King Wohl said.
"Then, because it likes the color." Rein said the flame bird woke up and tried to fly away, only for Ed to catch it and stuff it in his jacket pocket.
"In you go, naughty criminal!"
"Stupid bird..." Eddy huffed as he gave his pal a thumbs-up. "Good job, Ed."
"Is that why the flame bird took it?" Altezza wondered.
"Well, it looks like this-a mysterious has been solved." Mario chuckled.
"But you didn't need to make croquette-pumo." Poomo noted.
"Well at least its smell caught the attention of the birds." Tails said. "And one of them had the necklace, so I guess it worked.
"Tails is right, right Fine?"
"Right Rein!"
"I'm sorry we suspected you," Bright said to the suspicious kid. "May I ask your name?"
"Eclipse..." The suspicious kid revealed."
"Hmm, So... his name is Eclipse?" Fine said.
"Sounds edgy for an edgy person like him." Eddy said.
"Heh, maybe Shadow would like him." Sonic chuckled.
"Um, would you mind joining the party?" Altezza asked.
Eclipse huffed. "I suggest you enjoy yourselves as much as possible while you still can."
He then left as the heroes watched.
"What's with him?" Fine asked.
"I don't know." Rein replied.
"What a grump," Eddy spoke.
"Well, something tells me we'll be seeing more of him soon, ladies and gentlemen." Double-D said worriedly.
"Alright, the problem was successfully solved." King Wohl announced as the Princess Party continued.
Altezza and the Seed Princesses showed off their decors. The Seed Princesses' decor glowed as they formed into a star.
"So pretty!" Fine said.
"It's star-shaped." Rein agreed.
"Poyo!" Kirby said, hoping happily up and down.
"Wahoo!" Mario cheered.
"Awesome!" Sonic grinned.
"Marvelous, indeed!" Double-D smiled.
"Lastly, let me present to you the princesses of the Sunny Kingdom; Fine and Rein!" Wohl announced.
"Quick you two, get on the stage!" Tails said.
"Right!" The twins nodded as they hurried to the stage, but stumbled and tripped, falling on the powder they used to make the croquettes which got all over them.
"They're so hopeless-pumo." Poomo shook his head.
"Don't be like that," Mario said as the heroes chuckled.
"So, Egghead." Bowser spoke as he was on his throne and Eggman was on a monitor. "What are you doing?"
"I am researching the planet, there seems to be kingdoms on it."
"Kingdoms huh? I can't wait to conquer them." The Koopa King grinned. He had enjoyed invading the Sprixie Kingdom back then before Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad thwarted him. Perhaps this time, he'll have more success.
Eggman then noticed something. "Wait, what's this?"
"What is it?"
"It's Mario and Sonic!"
"What!?" Bowser ran to the monitor. "Why are they here!?"
"And it seems they have that pink puffball, Kirby as well." Eggman frowned.
"Did you say... Kirby?"
Bowser and Eggman turned to see what appeared to be a short humanoid with pale gray skin, a long chin, purple and green hair and wearing orange sunglasses with a dark blue business suit.
"Who's the shrimp?" Bowser asked.
"I may be a shrimp, but I'm a whale of a salesman!"
"Oh, I forgot to introduce you to him, Bowser." Eggman spoke. "This guy used to be a salesman at Nightmare Enterprises."
"Nightmare Enterprises? Ol' Dedede told me about that a long time ago."
"Why yes, until Kirby and his friends destroyed it after they defeated Nightmare." The Salesman frowned. "I managed to get away in an escape pod and wandered in the deep space until I was found by the Eggster here."
"That's me!" Eggman proudly declared.
"I even managed to save some of the technology left from the enterprises alongside stealing some from the Haltmann Works Company."
"Haltmann?" Bowser raised an eyebrow.
"It's a very long story, but I managed to create a newer version of the Monster Delivery System, but instead of delivering monsters, why not resurrect them?"
Bowser hummed. "I'm listening."
"If there's a minion in your army you want to bring back, They'll be back from the dead!" The Salesman grinned. "So Is there any monster you would like to revive, Big B?"
Bowser grinned, an idea already in his mind. "Oh yeah."
Knightmare Lord A/N
I feel like Bloodyguy and I should leave Author's Notes at the end of each chapter so that we can have everyone informed on our work and potential ideas for future chapters.
Personally, Bloodyguy has a good idea for skipping over some unnecessary episodes but he skipped episode 4, which introduced the Decor Maker as shown in this chapter, which follows episode five. That being said, it'll work better if he gives the episodes a more thorough look-over next time.
