"I know I'm late. Sorry." Joe announces coming in the front door.

"Taylor?" He calls out when he doesn't see her.

"In here." She says from the nursery. She's getting Wesley dressed and ready for bed.

"Hey bud." He kissed Wesley's head and held his little hand for a second. He was getting so big, already 6 months old in a few more days.

"I'm feeding him and then putting him down." She told him picking him up off the changing pad and sitting in the rocking chair.

"Okay I'm getting a shower." He left the room.

15 minutes later Taylor came out to find Joe eating dinner in the living room watching tv.

"How was your day?"

"Huh, sat in a cold ass van all day and we only busted one guy. Fucking waste of time. I'm pissed." He says getting up to put his plate in the sink.

"Sorry." Taylor expresses, he kisses her forcefully, through his frustration about his day before heading for the fridge to grab another beer.

"Motherfucker wasn't even the guy I wanted."

"Woah, language Joe…" Taylor called him out.

"What're you gonna do call the police?"

"No…but we said we needed to watch our language now that we have a kid…"

"He's sleeping."

"So? Still good practice."

"Can you stop that?"

"What? Stop what?"

"Picking me apart. Just let me do my thing and be me gods sake."

"Okay. I'm going to bed." Taylor said and left, she didn't want to argue or fight. He clearly had a terrible day and was taking it out on her.

-The following day, Saturday-

Joe worked this morning and then slept until about 4pm. Taylor was feeding Wesley some baby food while she was getting a casserole put into the oven for dinner.

"Smells good." He complimented and sat down in-front of Wesley's high chair.

"I don't know about it. It's a new one."

"I'm sure it'll be great, I can finish feeding him." He offered and held his hand out for the jar.

"You still look tired, when's your next shift?"

"Tomorrow night." He says spooning the food into Wesley's mouth. Taylor sighs and sets the oven timer.

"You think we could skip family dinner tomorrow?" She asks.

"What for?"

"I just think we need to makeup lost time, this week sucked and so did last."

"And so is next, so at this rate we'll never go there again if we're baseing it off bad weeks."

"Why do you have to be like that." She stormed away.

"Like what? Taylor." He tried to keep talking to her but she didn't want to. He finished with Wesley and went into the living room with him. She was sitting on the couch on her phone.

"Taylor, like what babe? I'm just saying-" Joe started talking while he got Wesley in his jumper but she cut him off.

"No, I'm just saying, you're being a DICK to me and at first I tried to just step back and brush it off because I knew you were probably just having a bad day. But it's been 2 FUCKING WEEKS of you being a NON STOP JACKASS TO ME!" She was fuming at him but had to catch her breath. "I'm telling you I need to spend time with you! Meaning just you, not your entire family, YOU AND WESLEY! That is it! But you're questioning it!?"

"Okay. We'll skip this week. That it?" He said.

"Is that it?! That's all you have to say!?"

"Well you just bit my head off, called me a jackass, called me a dick so yeah I guess that's it."

"Well sometimes the truth fucking hurts!" She says and they're interrupted by his phone ringing.

"I'm taking this." Joe tells her and walks into the kitchen. Taylor figures out it's his buddy Jason. She rolls her eyes, annoyed it's not a call he had to take. They're just bullshitting back and forth about random stuff. She has enough and walks into the kitchen to give him the hint that him on the phone right now is not cool.

"Yeah, you should come by sometime, anytime, you're always welcome here man…yeah come for dinner, we can hangout drink a few beers." He rambles, Taylor's blood boils and she goes back to the couch.

When he hangs up he quickly realizes she's mad.

"What? It was Jas, we've been playing phone tag for like a week." He says.

"I don't care. We were in the middle of talking and you take it a step further and have the nerve to tell him he can stop in anytime RIGHT AFTER I practically beg for more time together!?"

"You like Jason, you've always said he was your favorite one."

"I don't care! It's not a good time!"

"It's never gonna be a good time with you, this is our life! It's busy!" He raises his voice.

"You know what, I don't even want to spend time with you anymore!" She breaks down and goes to their bedroom. She gets a bag and starts throwing clothes and things in it. She's crying, a complete mess, she's completely pushed past her limit.

"What are you doing?" Joe asks coming to see, his heart sorta plummets.

"I need to get out of here for the night, I'm taking Wesley with me."

"Taylor."

"I can't do it anymore with you right now."

"Stop. Just stop." He intervenes and grabs her for a hug between them. He's never seen her this distraught and upset with him and he feels really bad.

"You're not leaving." He tells her.

"I can't be around you right now! I'm so mad at you! I can't!" She argues and pushes him away.

"Then I'll go. Okay? I'll leave for the night instead if that's what you really want." He offers, she doesn't say anything. She just cries harder, it's not what she wants deep down but it's what she needs.

What on earth do we think is going on with these two!? Joe I think is the main issue, starting things but my god it's brutal, any thoughts/ ideas!?
