Returns and trouble
It has been 2 years since kate left for her training to be a princess knight. She has become a great warrior and today she was returning which she was excited to return. She was different from before, she had and amber orange armored dress, she had amber orange long-sword with gems on the hilt. Her hair has grown a little longer and her fur has gotten more golden before.
She was on her way back to the W.E. of jasper and she was excited, she has been gone for so long and she couldn't wait to see everyone again, the girls, the guys, her sister, mother, father, and humphrey most of all.
As was returning she was wondering what she was going to do first but hoped that she wouldn't haft to do anything and would get to see humphrey. As her heart was beating at the thought she was broken out of it when her and her guards were at the gate.
"Open the gates!" a guard on the wall yelled.
The gates opened and everyone was cheering for kates return, she waved at them and smiled glad to be back home. She arrived at the castle and their she entered the throne rome and saw her parents and sister.
"Kate your back" eve said happily.
"It's great to be back mom" kate said.
They all hugged each other glad to be reunited again and they talked about what changes have happened over the 2 years. Kate noticed that lily has grown taller and her hair has grown longer as well but not as much as kates. Then kate realized she wanted to see her friends and excused herself from her family and left to see the gang.
Kate was walking through the kingdom and saw girls minus sweets with their boyfriends. They noticed her and went up to her to welcome her back and hugged her.
"Kate your back" said reba.
"Welcome back kate it is great to see you again" candy said.
"Yeah it is great to be back and see you guys again" kate said.
They spent some time talking about what they did over the last 2 years they have been apart. Like sweets having a boyfriend now who was an omega as well and his name was arthur, he had whitish grey fur and grey eyes (may not mention him again). Then kate then remembered about humphrey and asked the others if they know where she can find him.
"Hey guys do you know where humphrey is" kate asked.
"Yeah he is hunting right now in the forest" salty said.
"Thanks guys see ya later" kate said as she walked away.
In the forest humphrey was at a high vantage point with his bow and arrow and saw a caribou and pulled his arrow back and let it go. The arrow flew and went straight through the caribous neck. He smirked confidently he went down to collect his kill and arrow. As he was collecting his kill he noticed a presence behind him and turned to see kate, he smiled and noticed that she was a bit different from the last time they saw each other.
"Kate your back" humphrey said walking over to her.
"Great to be back" she said and they both hugged each other tight.
Humphrey then noticed her sword and said "nice sword kate looks nice".
"Oh yeah it was something I forged myself" she said drawing out her sword for humphrey to see.
"Nice and if your training is anything then you should have improved in your fighting skills" humphrey said.
"Well we should probably spar sometime to find out" kate said getting closer to humphrey.
Kate then took a look at humphrey and saw that he also has had some changes over the 2 years. His muscles have grown more, his fur has gotten a little bit darker than last time and was a few inches taller then her.
They spent a little time talking about what they have been up to, humphrey grabbed his kill and they left back to the kingdom and playfully talked with each other. When they got back to the kingdom they saw candou was injured and holding his arm.
"Candou what happened" kate asked.
"Candou got jumped by eastern knights" hutch said as he was next to him.
"It ain't nothing" candou said but grunted in pain holding his arm.
They looked at him worriedly when all of a sudden they heard a horn blow and they saw that a force was approaching with a banner and saw it had the crest of the eastern empire on it.
Kate looked at humphrey disappointedly and said "sorry humphrey but I'm afraid that this requires my attention".
"Don't worry kate maybe another time" he said with some hope in his voice.
They hugged before they went their separate ways. Kate was at the castle with her family waiting for their guest of the eastern empire to arrive, when they did winston got off his throne to greet his friend the king of the eastern empire tony.
"Winston" tony greeted
"Tony you look good" winston greeted back.
"Aaah my back it feels like wood, I got this disc that keeps cracking, drives me crazy" tony said moving his shoulder around trying to ease the pain.
"Yeah tony you are one crazy wolf" winston said while him and tony circled each other with hands on their swords.
Both their guards were ready incase things got out of hand. Kate stood in front of lily to protect her.
"Yeah" tony said.
"Yeah like that little stunt your knights did to one of mine" winston stated.
"You know their is no caribou left in the east" tony retorted back.
"You got a problem" winston said.
"Unite the empires winston, it was you who said that one day that you daughter kate and my son garth would marry and unite the empires" he said.
Kate was shocked at this and thought "what but mom and dad know I like humphrey they even like him and me together" she was upset and thought how bad this will hurt him when he finds out.
"Garth knows his responsibility does kate" tony asked.
"Don't worry she knows" winston responded.
"Good then they can meet at the moonlight how" tony said taking him and his guards leaving but also said "You know I won't let my people starve winston, if we must we will fight for the valley".
"That would be a big mistake" winston said to himself.
Tony took him and his guards and left. Winston then looked towards kate and walked over to her and said "Kate I'm sorry I just thought that day would never come".
"Don't dad... it's alright I can get over it" kate said with sadness in her voice and she walked to her room.
When she got to her room she climbed into bed and cried about what she was going to haft to do. She wanted to be with humphrey they both love each other but all the dreams she had for that future were gone now.
Winston was saddened by this as well, he had a messenger sent to humphrey who should know about this. When the messenger got to humphey he was shocked at this as well and he thanked the messenger and left into his house. He also cried some tears about this development he thought kate was the one for him but laws had just taken that future from him.
Time skip to night time
Kate was getting ready for the moonlight howl with the help of lily of course. They stepped and left the castle saw their parents were waiting for them.
"Oh kate you look beautiful" eve said trying to take her mind off things.
"Thanks mom I appreciate it" kate said.
"Kate I know you may not like this but-", "dad don't worry I know what I haft to do" kate said cutting him off.
Kate left with lily and went to the moonlight howl. As for the others they were getting ready for the moonlight howl, humphrey however wasn't getting ready since he hoped he could go with kate, but he couldn't. The other heard about what was happening and didn't want to convince him in to go so they just left him be but not before salty said to him "hey humphrey just remember you always got us" he said and left with the others.
Humphrey felt a bit comfort knowing his friends have his back. Humphrey however didn't want to sit in his house so he got his sword and rapped some cloth around the hilt and left to the moonlight howl.
At the moonlight howl
Kate walked up the hill side talking with lily about how things will go with garth.
"So do you see him" lily asked.
"No but I am sure will-" kate stopped and saw garth.
Garth and brownish orange fur, had white armor with the eastern crest on the chest piece and had a long-sword on his hip. He looked down and saw kate and lily and said "hey kate".
Garth jumped down and walked over to them and kate got a good look at him. Kate does admit he is impressive but she didn't feel the same way towards him like humphrey. Lily however was aw struck at him and leaned on kate, kate giggled at her reaction and whispered to her to stand up, which she did.
Garth and kate greeted each other and talked before they left together, lily left to go hangout with her friends. They were getting to know each other and garth was just ranting about what he liked to do and what his workout regiment, but when he howled, you can guess how others felt about, if you saw the movie you know what I am referencing.
Kate left with an excuse to get some water, she left as quick as possible and reached a lake and was sorta panting when she stopped and looked back at where garth was.
"Not what you thought he was huh" a voice said behind kate.
"Aaah" kate yelled and pulled out her sword and turned around and saw humphrey leaning on a big rock with a smirk.
"Humphrey what are you doing here" kate asked.
"Well I guess I wanted to keep in eye out for trouble, cause you know... I am a peace keeper" he said walking over to kate.
Kate put her sword away and had a sad look on her face and said "humphrey I am so sorry about all of this".
Humphrey looked at her with empathy and said "don't worry about it your just doing what needs to be done".
"I know but marrying someone I won't love like you, just isn't right" kate said with tears starting to form.
Humphrey walked over to her and brought her into a hug and held her tight. Kate sobbed a little into his chest, humphrey then lifted her face to look at his and said with love and care "kate no matter what happens I will always love you, you are always going to be the one girl for me and nothing and no one will change that".
Kate shed some tears at his words and they both stared at each other and kissed. They broke away and were catching their breath, when all they felt something hit their necks. They reached for it and grabbed darts and were suddenly feeling light headed and fell to the ground.
2 wolves in black armor with a symbol with wolf eyes and a sword in between them on it. They grabbed them both and left no trace they were here. Humphrey could faintly here them.
"What do we do with the guy" one of them said.
"Take him with us we can't leave any witnesses" the other said.
Then humphreys vision turned to black and his last thought was about kate.
