Chapter 59
RAW was in Uniondale, New York and Drew & Dolph were facing Heath Slater and Rhyno in a tag team match.
Michelle was in the Women's Locker Room going over her new outfits as she was beginning her femme fatale character. Then her cell phone rang and Michelle picked it up from the bench to see it was her dad calling again.
He had been trying to reach her for a whole week but Michelle ignored his calls and didn't even tell Drew about it, neither did she tell Autumn. But Drew had a feeling that Michelle was hiding something but wasn't going to push her, especially when they spent the weekend in New York with her relatives.
Michelle didn't want to keep lying to Drew making him think everything was fine, but it wasn't. The more her dad contacted her, the more her anger built ever since he bailed on her in New Orleans.
Michelle had to talk to someone and she knew who to talk to first.
She had walked out of the Women's Locker Room as she went backstage looking for someone and after a couple of minutes, she spotted Autumn talking to Chad.
"Hey," Michelle said.
"Hey, girl, what's going on?" Autumn asked.
"Can I talk to you alone for a minute?"
"Sure; I'll be back, hun."
"Don't worry, take your time," Chad insisted.
Then Michelle and Autumn walked to a faraway area of the arena.
"So, what's up?" Autumn wondered.
"My dad has been contacting me again," Michelle answered.
"Have you talked to him?"
"No, because I'm still pissed that he bailed on me in New Orleans and he's been trying to reach me all week; but I don't feel like talking to him."
"Michelle, look, I'm gonna be upfront with you: I really think you need to talk to your dad because him calling you and you ignoring him is gonna make you feel resentment if you don't try and work things out with him."
"So where am I supposed to say? 'Oh, hi dad! Maybe we should go out for coffee and you know, talk about how you bailed on me!' And for me to expect everything's okay? I don't think so."
"Okay, let me ask you this: does Drew know about what's been going on with you?
Michelle sighed knowing Autumn was going ask her that question and of course, she gave an honest answer which was…
"No, and I don't want to keep lying to him."
"Then you shouldn't because you know Drew's been asking me what is going on with you and I've been telling him I don't know because you haven't been telling me until now. You need to tell him what's going on or else he's gonna think you're crazy."
"Really? You're supposed to be my best friend and you're calling me crazy?"
"Okay, that wasn't the right word to say. Drew's gonna think something is very wrong with you."
"I don't want him to get dragged into this. I really don't, okay? I don't want him to focus on my problems; he just got back last year and I don't want my problems to interfere with him trying to get to the top."
"And it won't. Look, relationships are about communication and if you think that keeping this from Drew is supposed to make your relationship better, it won't. You need to talk to him about it and you really, really, really need to talk to your dad and work this out."
"Somehow I have a feeling that this is not going to end well."
"I know things have not been going great with you and your dad since your parents' divorce. You really need to talk to your dad and get this sorted out. I'm gonna be with you every step of the way and I know Drew will as well."
"Okay, you're right. I really need to get this sorted out."
"And please talk to Drew; he will understand."
"Okay."
Then Autumn walked away as Michelle sighed as she had to make a decision now but knew she needed to talk to Drew to get this off her chest.
Later, RAW was on and it was time for the tag team match which was Drew and Dolph versus Heath Slater and Rhyno.
Drew's entrance theme as he came out from the curtain with Michelle following him.
Michelle was wearing a black turtleneck long-sleeved see-through top and black leather lace-up skirt.
The two stood at the top of the ramp as Dolph's entrance theme played and he came out from the curtain as he, Drew and Michelle walked down the ramp. Dolph went around the ring as Michelle followed as she did her split and turned her legs to the side to get into the ring. Drew got in the ring and then got on the turnbuckles as he shouted and Michelle & Dolph posed on the ropes and Drew got back down. The three looked at Heath and Rhyno as Drew and Dolph took off their jackets and Drew, Michelle and Heath got out of the ring as the referee called for the bell.
Dolph and Rhyno circled around the ring as Dolph ducked a right hand and Dolph went behind Rhyno as he shoved him and ducked another right hand and went behind Rhyno again as he applied a waistlock and Rhyno broke the hold as he landed a short-arm clothesline and grabbed Dolph by his arm and twisted it as he made the tag to Heath. Heath climbed the top turnbuckle and jumped off with a shot to the arm and bounced off the ropes as he hit a running forearm and ducked a clothesline as he went for a back suplex but Dolph landed on his feet as he made the tag to Drew and Drew slowly got into the ring as Michelle taunted Heath.
Drew was ready as Heath was taunting and Heath ducked a right hand as he was unloading with some punches sending Drew to the corner and Heath went to whip Drew but Drew reversed a whip and Heath leaped off the corner but Drew kicked him down and Drew was stalking Heath as he ripped his shirt off and threw it at Rhyno as Heath was trying to fight back but Drew landed a chop to the chest. Heath stumbled to the ropes as he went to kick Drew but Drew countered with a back elbow and held Heath up as he made the tag to Dolph and Dolph dropped to the floor as he superkicked Heath before Drew slammed him down.
Rhyno tried to interfere but the referee held him back as Drew landed a head-butt sending Rhyno off the apron and Dolph made the tag to Drew as Dolph grabbed Heath and Drew bounced off the ropes as he and Dolph hit their combination Zig-Zag/Claymore for the win.
Michelle clapped for Drew and Dolph as she got into the ring and laughed at Heath as she raised Drew and Dolph's arms in the air and the three left the ring as they walked arm-in-arm up the ramp as Michelle had a smile on her face.
Later, after RAW was over, Drew and Michelle were at their hotel room as Drew was looking through his phone while waiting for Michelle to come out from the bathroom.
Michelle was in front of the sink looking in the mirror as she was contemplating her decision to talk to her dad. This has been weighing on her mind since her dad contacted her last week and was still trying to make a decision. Michelle was in her thoughts as she heard a knock on the door.
"Michelle?" Drew asked. "Are you okay?"
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine," Michelle said as she stuttered a little.
"Are you sure? You've been in there for a while. Can I come in?"
"Uh, no, I'm coming out right now."
Michelle took a deep breath as she opened to se Drew standing at the doorway.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Drew questioned Michelle. "You've been acting weird the past week."
"No, I'm not," Michelle sighed as she looked down. "Drew, I need to talk to you about something."
Then Michelle walked out of the bathroom as she sat down on the bed and Drew followed.
"You're right," Michelle quivered. "I have been acting weird this past week. My dad contacted me last Monday and I'm guessing he wants to fix things with me since he bailed out on me in New Orleans. I have not been taking his calls or reading his texts because I'm still pissed at him. I'm not sure if I want to talk to him after that."
Then Michelle got up and grabbed her cell phone and went to her messages as she handed Drew her phone. Drew scrolled through the messages and saw the reason why Michelle's dad was trying to reach her.
"Michelle, I honestly think you need to talk to your dad," Drew suggested. "I think he really wants to fix things with you and he has his reasons. I don't want to take sides but I think you two need to work this out."
"Autumn said exactly the same thing."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I didn't want to involve you in my problems. I don't want this to interfere with your wrestling career."
"Michelle, we're in this together; you have my back like I have yours and whatever is going with you, you know you can tell me."
"I don't want to lie to you, Drew. That's the reason why I showed you my cell phone to let you know I'm not doing anything you think I'm doing."
"And I respect you for that. Do you want me to come with you when you do see your dad?"
"No, this is something I need to do on my own; besides after what happened back in New Orleans, I don't want you to get dragged into this because this is going to be a situation where it's going to turn out bad."
"Okay."
"I'm sorry that I kept this from you. I'm going to be more open to you from now."
Then Drew wrapped his arm around Michelle's shoulders as he kissed her on top of her head. Michelle closed her eyes as she wrapped her arms around Drew's waist as he continued to comfort her.
Michelle had made up her mind of what she needed to do.
