Sun was walking down into the bowels of the ship as he made his way to the crew's quarters, to see you, even if you were still out cold. Last night, Sun was at the Southern Isle Brig for most of the night when you and Eclipse arrived, so when he returned to his ship and found half of his crew was in better spirits, he had to know what was up. He was brought to tears at the sight of Eclipse as he held the old stickman in his arms for as long as she would allow it. Soon Moon had joined in the group hug. Eventually Sun, Moon, and half the crew were informed of Eclipse's journey after her dealings with Bon Abell and then her meeting with you.

Sun wanted to go see you immediately, but Moon said you had passed out. That information made him nervous, but Moon felt confident that you'll wake up again, so Sun took his word for it. Sun had a hard time going to sleep, being filled with dread and hope and excitement. He was glad that Moon was in the same boat as him, and Moon sleepily told him about the kiss the two of you shared. It made Sun smile to hear Moon describe how it felt. Even though you and Moon had grown closer, there was still a part of Sun that was worried that you wouldn't like him. He's glad Moon was your first choice to kiss out of the two of them.

Sun paused at the entrance of the crew's quarters. He wanted to take a moment to temper his excitement with the possible reality that you may still be out cold. He then took the last couple of steps to walk into the room and he walked in to find you sitting up in your bed. You were clutching the star-spangled jacket and the Roxy-made cloak in your arms as you were curled in on yourself with your was face buried into jacket.

"Starlight."

You looked up and your face was wet. Sun didn't need any more incentivizing to approach you. He sat on your bed and enveloped you in a hug.

"Not so hard Sun. My back is still a bit sore."

"Have we not put saltwater on it yet?" He asked, as he loosened his arm around your back but pulled you closer into his chest with his hand on the back of your head. "Wasp Sharks are nasty creatures."

"Yah. Eclipse did at first. It just didn't help. I think my body has a different reaction to the shark venom and saltwater mix on my skin."

Sun sighed as he held you. Making no motion to let go of you but giving you the freedom to pull back whenever you want.

"I'm sorry about all this. I'm sorry I essentially let the Voice kidnap me. I'm sorry I decided to get that stupid tattoo. I'm sorry I made you guys worried and in pain and for kissing Moon without talking with you first and-and—"

"Shhhh." Sun said soothingly as he patted your head and tangled his fingers in your hair. "Please don't blame yourself because we don't blame you. They're mistakes, yes, but you're not an idiot. You learn and you learn fast."

Sun felt you grip his jacket and shirt as you leaned into him more and you said softly, "Okay…"

The two of you sat in silence for a bit, before Sun felt a mischievous smile stretch across his face. "So. How did you like kissing Moon anyways? The way Moon described it; it was quite odd."

You groaned as you kept your grip on Sun's jacket and shirt, but you sunk lower and lower, until your face was almost in Sun's lap.

Laughing, Sun asked, "What's wrong?"

You huffed, then said in a muffled voice, "Was it bad? I don't know what this world's idea of lip kisses are. I've only ever seen you and Moon kiss each other on the hands and I haven't seen any of the crew kiss each other at all."

"Awe, are you embarrassed?" Sun teased as he played with your hair.

You huffed out an indignant, "Hmmm!" And you finally let go of Sun and flopped yourself, face first, into his lap.

Sun laughed at this. Then he said, "There's no need to be embarrassed. Moon quite enjoyed himself. He's still seeing stars as he's described it."

You took a deep breath. Then let it all out. "Okay. That's… That's good."

There was silence once more as Sun enjoyed the feeling of your hair in his hands and how your head was nestled in his lap. Then Sun spoke up once more.

"Can I have a kiss?"

You sat up quickly to look at him. "Are you sure about that?"

"I'm certain." Sun watched you look away from him as you covered your face and scrunched in on yourself. "You know. You don't have to kiss me."

"Nonononono! That's not—It's not—it's just—" You looked Sun in the eye. Then with a big frown on your face you reached out and covered his eyes and said, "Stop looking at me like that."

"Like what? I'm just looking at you," Sun laughed as he put his hands on your hips as he let you cover his face with your hands.

"I'm not used to this, like you and Moon are, okay. This is very new to me. Like I've dated around a bit, but I haven't felt like this, or I have but it wasn't this strong or—or I don't know. I'm just feeling a lot, and most of it is nervous."

"Awe, so I get to kiss the nervous version of you? I'm honored."

You growled an embarrassed, "Hmmm!"

Sun laughed again. Then he reached up and gently tugged your hand off his left eye as he held you with the utmost care. "Starlight," he said softly, "That's okay. I'm nervous too." You moved your other hand to brace yourself against his shoulder as Sun continued. "You mean a lot to us. You've endeared us to your wit and to your laugh and to your singing. You've enchanted us with your support, and with your strength, and with your courage. You haven't just changed Moon's and my life; you've changed the crew too. We're so lucky to have you here."

You looked down and away from him. Sun got worried that what he said wasn't comforting for you since the frown on your face seemed to deepen. The solar stickman was about to back pedal when you looked back up at him and moved your hands to hold his face.

"Come here." You said softly as you pulled him closer.

Sun watched you as you pulled him in, and you slowly closed your eyes. When your lips met his, your eyes were closed all the way. You tasted like the sea, but warmer and softer. Kissing you felt like falling in love with the ocean again. You pressed yourself against him only enough to hold yourself up. Then you were pulling away much too soon for Sun's liking.

"How's that…" You asked in a small voice as you looked down at the ground.

Sun tangled one hand in the back of your head and wrapped his other arm around your waist and pulled you in. You fell onto him as he pulled you in and kissed you with everything he had. You laughed into the kiss and that was an amazing feeling for Sun. To feel you laugh and have you so close and being able to play with your hair and hold you, he could do this all day.

You detached with a smile, and you gasped as you said, "I can't breathe."

Sun started trailing kisses down the side of your mouth and down to your neck in a fervor and he felt you laugh and giggle, and the stickman was eating it up.

"Okay! Okay! Down boy!" You laughed as you grabbed Sun's face and pushed him back.

Sun's smile was as wide as the day Moon agreed to be his life partner as he let you push him back. He was simply happy to hold you as the two of you took a moment to breath.

"So, um, where is everyone else. I only saw half the crew last night. Were they out drinking or something?"

Sun's smile drooped as he held you a bit closer. "They're in the Southern Isle Brig."

You sat up in surprise. "What! Why?"

"It's a mix of the Agony Cult having their claws in this Isle deeper than anywhere else, and the publics general fear of you. Thanks to The Dying Light 2 crew, people officially know it's us that has been harboring you."

"What are they wanting you guys to do about it? I was out at sea this whole time."

"They think we've been hiding you and they've been taking prisoner our crew members one member at a time. Thinking that if they take enough of them away, we'll give you up. We would have left sooner, but we needed the repairs and supplies."

You growled and ground your teeth. "There's got to be a way to get them out…" You gave Sun a look that he's become much too familiar with.

"We're not letting them take you again."

"It won't be letting them do anything. It'll be a strategic plan of acquirement."

"No!"

"Okay!" You glared at the floor. "Fine…"

Sun leaned his head against yours as you continued to look away from him, but you wrapped your arms around him and hugged him even though you were still glaring at the floor.

"We'll figure something out. We've already been working on a plan. We just have to be patient."

You hummed your acknowledgement at Sun. Then the quiet moment the two of you were sharing was interrupted by the pounding of feet on wood. In ran Chika.

"Captain. They're going to hang Freddy and the rest!"

Sun and you scrambled to your feet and Sun shouted, "They're what!"

# # #

You were hidden in the shadows of the stairwell, that lead up onto the deck. The sun shined dimly over what you could see of the deck as you heard your crewmates shouting over each other at someone.

"Enough!" You heard a loud deep voice cut over your crewmates. In the silence, the same voice continued to speak. "This isle has given you multiple chances to give up the creature that you've been keeping as your pet. As Captain of this Isle—"

"We told you they aren't here!" You heard Roxy shout over the deep woman's voice. "You've searched everywhere on our ship!"

"As Captain of this Isle," the deep female voice continued, "I must protect my crew. If you are not willing to hand over the creature, then I am forced to drastic measures. Your crew, that is in our custody, will be hung one member at a time until you give up the creature. You're putting us all in danger by keeping them hidden like you are."

"They aren't a threat," you heard Moon shout, "and if they were, do you really think we'd let them do anything to us like you've done to my crew!?"

"That thing could have you bewitched."

"Says the Agony Cult member," you heard Sun's angry voice shout.

The crew started shouting about releasing your friends from their unjust imprisonment when you heard gunshots ring out. Everything was deathly silent, and you were tempted to peek farther out of hiding to see what is happening. Then the deep, womanly voice spoke up.

"You have until tomorrow morning to give us the creature so we can dispose of it and your jailed friends will not hang and will be released back to you."

You waited in the silence as it stretched on, making your mind wander to the strange nightmares you've been having, and filling you with unease. Then you heard the stomping of feet coming your way. You scrambled back into the bowls of the ship's shadows, but when you saw that it was only your crewmates and captains, you followed the crowd. It seemed that everyone was following Sun and Moon to the dining area. As you and your crew gathered into the hidden space, you stood between Chika and Eclipse as Moon and Sun stood at the center of the crowd.

You nervously picked at your clothes and stared at your pink-scared and scabbed left forearm. You want to be able to save your friends and get them out of this situation. However, the only idea you have is giving yourself up or, more actively, making the isle chase you as a distraction. Unfortunately… or well, maybe fortunately, you know that Sun and Moon and Chika and everyone else would fight you on that decision. You just want to help. Your friends shouldn't be punished just because they know you.

Moon cleared his throat loudly and the angry rumble of the crew's chattering died down. "Crusty Waters Crew. It's time to initiate our plan."

The crowd erupted into half cheers and half shouts of worry. You looked to Eclipse to see if she has heard anything about this plan, but when the two of you locked eyes, she could only shrug at your quiet question.

"I know. I know." Sun reassured the concerned crewmembers, "I know we don't have everything planned out. We'll go over the plan one last time, and we'll work out any kinks. As for the rest of you, prepare the boat for takeoff. Tie everything down. Get whatever supplies you can. Pigpatch and Chip. I'm counting on you two, to make sure that if we need to, we can survive out at sea for six months."

You saw the duo nod, and Chip said, "Consider it done, Captain."

"Chika, Starlight, Eclipse, Happy. Come with us." Moon said as everyone scattered to do their jobs.

Surprised that you were being asked to join in what you assumed was helping with the planning process, the six of you gathered around the dining table and Moon pulled out a map from his pants pockets. Then Sun held the map down with his pistols and spyglass that he pulled out from his jacket pockets. You stand between Happy and Chika as you all leaned over the map, your back aching only slightly from the movement. It was a rough sketch of the isle from an aerial pov. You saw what looked like a boat that was bigger than all the other boats surrounding it. You also saw two circles; one by the big boat where you assumed the brig is on the isle and one near the harbor of the isle where you assume the Crusty Waters is.

"Okay," Sun said, "The brig is always being watched. In my last visit, Bonnie managed to pick-pocket one of the guards but getting them back onto our ship without alerting anyone is going to be the hard part."

"Eclipse. This is your old home isle. Is there any paths that you think we can take?" Moon asked.

Eclipse scratched her chin as she looked over the map. "The isle has gotten bigger the last time I was here. You could run and hide through the garden boats." She tapped the eastern side of the isle. "But that would corner them."

"Why can't they jump overboard and swim to our ship?" You asked.

"Not everyone can swim. Bonnie, Orville, and Foxy would flail and bring attention to everyone else," Happy said.

You thought back to when you were stuck in the middle of the ocean, forced to swim despite how exhausted you were. It makes sense that people would rather drown quickly then die slowly like you almost did. You frowned at how sad and dark that thought was.

"Maybe we need some kind of distraction," Chika suggested, "Maybe set fire to a distant ship?"

You cringed at the idea, but you didn't refute it. "Absolutely not." Sun said. You relaxed at his statement. As you looked at the map, the people around you suggested more ideas, but they were unsatisfactory as Sun and Moon poked holes into the ideas for what could go wrong.

You looked up from the map. "What about climbing?"

"What do you mean, Kid," Eclipse asked.

"Well. All the boats still have their masts and booms, they just don't have their sails anymore. And because of all the ship's close proximity, you could just hop from one ship to the other."

Moon rubbed at his face with exhaustion. "Most of them aren't very fond of heights… or climbing."

"But that is better than setting fire to a boat or having a shootout with the whole isle." Sun stated with hope in his voice. "They can climb."

"Yah!" Happy said, "And the three of us," he pointed to Moon, to you, and to himself, "can help make a clear path or add rope to where rope is needed. We may not be as "gymnastic" as you, Tiny, but at least we'll be able to keep up."

Moon and Sun shook their heads and Moon spoke up. "No! We just got them here."

"Besides, they're still hurt," Sun added.

"Oh, I'm helping." You stood tall and put your hands on your hips as you ignored the ache in your back. "My old wounds are nicely scared now, and my wasp shark stung back only hurts a little. I can do this. Don't fight me on this, you two." You stare down your captains. You'll go insane if you don't help out in some way.

Moon and Sun both looked reluctant. The captains sided eyed each other as everyone else leaned away from the standoff. You furrowed your brow a little bit harder at them as you crossed your arms over your chest. You're doing this, whether they like it or not.

Moon was eyeing you as he followed you and Happy across the boom of a ship full of coconut trees. The moon had yet to rise, so the only light were the stars and the lanterns far below them. All three of you had about fifty feet length of rope hanging from your shoulders. The journey had just started, but he was uneasy. Your body looked stiff as you maneuvered over the beams and poles, despite your stretches, and he was worried every step you take you'd slip and fall. Maybe he's being a bit irrational, or over worried, or assuming too much, but he can't help it. He can't help but imagine blood coming out of your abdomen, or how pale you were for weeks on end, or watching you be swallowed by a siren.

Moon's foot slipped and he almost fell off the boom you all were on. He managed to get a grip with his hands and legs as he swung around and hung off it like a sloth; a harsh curse escaping his lips. He wasn't hanging there for long as he felt your hands grip his shirt sleeves and start clawing him into a right-side up position. He couldn't see your face properly, but Moon could tell you were worried.

"What happened?"

"I… was a little distracted," Moon admitted to you.

"Did you twist your ankle?"

"No. I'm fine. I just slipped."

He heard you sigh in relief as you pulled him back onto his feet. The boats around you creaked as a heavy wave of water hit the isle. The three of you braced yourselves as the boats moved more than they usually do.

"Come on," Happy whisper shouted, "We're halfway there."

Moon saw Happy's shadow reach the end of the boom, and three feet ahead of them was another boom that led to a ship that was full of Inn-goers. It was a three-foot fall to it. Happy tied a piece of his rope onto the boom the three of you were on, then without hesitation, he jumped off and landed on the other boom and tied the other end on it. As Happy cut off the extra rope you started climbing down it to him. Moon took a deep breath before following.

The three of you moved on, only pausing every now and again when the waves were a bit too strong. Eventually the three of you came to a dead end, or what Moon considered to be a dead end.

"Let's back track, it's not safe to jump that far," Moon whispered as he saw Happy's figure lean over the boom. You were crouched down near him. Your silhouette from the far away lantern light doing nothing to clue him in on what you were doing.

"It's not that far," Happy mused quietly, "it's only eight feet away."

Moon sputtered at that. "Eight feet is absolutely too far away." Moon saw your figure stand and you shimmied around him. He figured that you agreed with him and was already trying to find a new way around.

"Going this way is the fastest route to the brig. I know I can make that jump."

Moon was just about to use his authority as Captain over Happy when he heard you running. He turned around just in time to see you jump off the boom behind them. Moon felt his stomach lurch as he watched your dark figure fall. Then he heard the rope between him and Happy snap with tension and you arched up towards the boom that's eight feet away. You latched onto it with your legs and tied the other end of the rope to the boom.

Moon heard Happy's quiet, nervous laugh as the frog man elbowed him in the gut. "That was a sight to see, huh?" Then Happy began climbing down the rope towards you.

Once Happy and Moon were on the same boom as you, Moon said in a harsh whisper, "Could you please not do that. You're going to give me rot attack."

Moon saw you frown at him through the underlit darkness before bending down to cut off the access rope. After wrapping the rope back around your shoulder, you grabbed Moon's hand as the two of you followed Happy.

"I'm sorry I'm worrying you, but you more than anyone should know how at home in the sky I am. I'm not going to stop just because you ask me to." You whispered.

Moon grumbled to himself because it didn't feel like you cared about what he's feeling. Sure, he knows how good you are at climbing and jumping, but it doesn't calm his nerves.

"If it'll make you feel better though. I'll tell you everything that I do, before I do it. Okay?" Then you squeezed his hand reassuringly.

Moon took a deep breath and squeezed your hand back. Then after a moment, he said, "Okay. I can live with that." He meant that too. He'll worry less if you promise to tell him what you're planning.

Ahead of them, Moon saw Happy wave them over from the underlit darkness. You let go of Moon's hand to move faster and the three of you gather over a softly lit, boat with one hippo walking back and forth while a pig and an elephant were sleeping against each other next to a cargo bay grate.

"There's the brig." Happy whispered.

"I was hoping that all the guards would be asleep," you whispered.

"I don't think we can sneak past him," Moon stated.

"We could jump him," you suggested.

"I mean… We could," Happy considered, "It's three against one, but if we make too much noise, we'll wake up the other two."

"It'll be a struggle regardless," Moon said, "Hippos are unreasonably strong."

The three of you watched the Hippo walk back and forth as you discussed your plan. Moon didn't like the plan that was set, but time was of the essence.

Moon watched you climbed down first as he and Happy followed you down. You waited for the Hippo to walk by below you before you quietly dropped down, then before the hippo walked too far away, you went up and tapped him on the shoulder. The hippo quickly turned with a jump and his gun drawn, but when he saw you, he froze. You smiled and waved at him. Spooked, the hippo dropped his gun. Happy dropped on top of the hippo next, with his shirt being used as a gag, and he stuffed his shirt across the hippo's mouth and held on tight as you dived for his legs to topple him over. Moon dropped down next with the extra rope as the hippo fought against everyone's hold on him. His muffled cries did not stir the deep sleep of the others.

It took some maneuvering. Happy got bit on the arm, your hand got stepped on, and the hippo head butted Moon, but eventually the three of you managed to overpower the hippo. He writhed and screamed on the floor, but his voice was muffled enough that the others were still asleep. Moon picked up the hippo's gun and holstered it. You were quickly tying up Happy's bleeding arm with your torn shirt.

Moon leaned down and whispered, "Are you okay."

"Hand hurts, but it's fine. You?"

"I'm okay." Then Moon looked to Happy. Happy gave him a thumbs up and a smile. "Okay let's go."

You got to work on blowing out every lantern on the boat while Moon and Happy opened the top of the brig and threw down the rest of the rope. Moon tied it to the railing of the ship and gave Happy a thumbs up.

"Okay, come on," Happy whisper shouted.

There was a moment of silence as Moon walked over, then he and Happy began to hear wooden doors slightly thudding against wooden walls.

It was too dark to see in the brig, but soon the rope became taunt and slightly sway as someone climbed up it. From the dark, Moon saw Freddy, and once the orange/brown bear was within reach, Moon pulled him up out of the hole.

"Good to see you, old friend," Moon whispered as he patted the bear on the shoulder.

Moon saw Freddy's fanged smile glow under the moonlight. "Good to see you too."

Freddy was suddenly jostled, and he and Moon looked down to see you giving the bear a bear hug as you liberally rubbed your face into his coarse fur. Then you looked up and smiled at him. The joy that Moon saw on Freddy's face, from seeing his little student, seemed to beam brighter than the sun at noon.

"Thank Zulon you're alive," Freddy quietly cheered as he lifted you up in his hug.

"Now's not the time for this," Bonnie said as Happy helped the purple rabbit up out of the hole.

Moon quietly chuckled as he watched you and Freddy quickly part and you scrunched in on yourself as you pulled at your face and whispered, "Sorry! Sorry! I'm just so happy to see you guys."

"We're glad you're well to. But I'll be happier once we're on our ship," Bonnie stated as they helped up Orville.

Moon helped Happy get their imprisoned crew members out of the brig and you helped the others climb up the rope to the booms above. It took some doing for some people, especially Foxy, with his hook hand, but you showed him a trick with the rope that helped him hold on to the rope with one hand while still being able to climb. Once everyone else were up the rope you motioned to Moon to go up next.

"No, you go up next. If you fall, I'll be able to catch you," Moon stated.

Moon saw your faint smile through the dark as you snorted but didn't argue. As you started to climb you quietly said, "That was my plan for you."

Moon felt a warmth spread through his chest and face. In that moment, he couldn't help the fondness he has for you. He watched you climb up the rope with ease before climbing up the rope as well. The two of you were halfway up the rope when you all heard, "Hank! What happened!?"

Moon started climbing a bit faster as the two of you went up the rope. You were just starting to reach the boom when there was more shouting, then gun shots rang out in the air. Moon felt a few whiz by as he climbed onto the boom.

"Go! Go! Go!" You encouraged the lingering crew as bullets still whizzed by.

Shouting and gun shots rang through the air as Moon switched between keeping an eye on his crew and keeping an eye on his footing. A lot of them weren't as sure footed as he, Happy and you were, but with Happy in the lead and everyone moving at the same pace, if felt like everyone was going to make it.

Then someone screamed and Moon saw Bonnie fall. Moon lurched like he was going to dive after him, but Bonnie didn't fall far. He was caught by Foxy. Unfortunately, Foxy caught Bonnie by their hand with his hook hand as the two of them hung off the boom.

"Go! Just keep going! I have him," Foxy said as he urged everyone to run over him.

When Moon and you finally reached the two of them to help them up, Moon saw blood dripping down the side of Bonnie's face and down his arm from the hook pierced through his hand. As you helped up Foxy, Moon shouldered Bonnie's body. Bullets whizzed by and Moon heard you hiss in pain before urging everyone to move on.

Finally, you all made it to the zip-line that the three of you made to connect to your ship. Foxy went down first, sliding down the rope on his bloody hook hand. Then you insisted that Moon goes down next because of Bonnie. Moon let you help him wrap his hand in rope so that he'd have a good grip, then with one last look at you, he jumped and slid down the rope. He bobbed slightly as he went down the rope, the salty wind blowing into Moon's eyes stung and the extra weight from holding onto Bonnie hurt his hand, but it wasn't long before he was close enough that he could let go of the rope and land on the deck of the Crusty Waters.

"Mr. Hippo!" Moon shouted.

"I'm here," the purple hippo said as he ran up through the crowd.

Moon handed the unconscious Bonnie to the ship doctor. Then as he kept his head down, he joined his crew in shooting at the Southern Islanders to keep them at bay while they pushed off. Moon kept one eye to the boom you were still on as the islanders shot at you. The rope was taunt and ready to snap with the boat moving. You jumped and were sliding down the rope fast, then as you were halfway down the rope, the rope snapped. In a panic Moon ran to you before you could fall on top of the deck, and he caught you with his body. Both of you groaned in pain from the collision.

"Everyone's on board," Moon heard Sun yell, "Let's go, let's go, let's go!"

Moon saw the sails unfurl and they puffed out as they caught the wind. The crew stopped firing at the islanders and turned their focus on making sure the ship was sailing like it should. Soon the sounds of gunshots became quieter, and the shouting became nonexistent as the wind carried them away.

"How long are you two planning on laying on the floor like that?" Roxy asked as she stood over Moon and you. Her shadow flickered over the two of you as everyone lit up lanterns on the deck so Mr. Hippo could see what damage was done to the crew

Moon felt you take a deep breath, then with a sigh, you said, "Five more minutes please."

Moon saw Roxy contemplate the request for a moment before she said, "Nope," and proceeded to lift you up by your armpits and present you to the growing crowd on the deck. "It's time to party!"

"Party with what? We all barely escaped with our lives, and I'm pretty sure Bonnie is still unconscious."

As you and Roxy fought over the appropriateness of having a party, Moon saw Sun come into his line of sight and offer his hand. Moon took it and fell into Sun's embrace once he was pulled up.

"What do you think," Sun asked as he held Moon, "Does a party sound nice?"

Moon nuzzled into Sun and said, "Let's have a slumber party on the deck."

"Oi! Everyone, bring up the beds! We're slumber party-ing on the deck tonight!" Sun shouted.

The crew cheered as everyone got themselves patched up or started dragging things up from below deck and as Sun walked, Moon walked with him as he held on to him. Moon found him and Sun at the wheel of the ship as everyone else went about their business.

As the two of them stood and cuddled together while Sun steered, Moon asked, "We haven't really had time for me to ask this, but were you and our Starlight able to kiss, like the way they did with me."

Sun laughed, then said, "Yes. We did. It was nice. Thinking about it kind of makes me feel light and giddy."

"I agree…"

Then at the same time they both asked, "Do you…" the two captains laughed, and Sun said, "You go first."

"I was wondering if you'd like to try that lip kiss thing together."

Moon saw Sun's soft smile widen as he chuckled again and said, "I'd love to try it with you."

Moon felt Sun's hand gently hold the back of his head and Moon held onto his jacket. The two of them pulled each other into a light kiss. Moon didn't really like the way he could feel Sun's breath on his face, and the closeness felt awkward with how their noses were almost sword fighting. When the two of them pulled apart, Moon looked down with a frown.

Sun half chuckled, and asked, "What's that look for?"

"I didn't really enjoy that."

"Oh. That's too bad. I kind of liked it a lot myself," Sun stated.

Moon took Sun's hand off his neck, then he held it softly and kissed Sun's knuckles. "I much more prefer our usual way of kissing each other, if that's okay."

Sun took Moon's hand into his own and kissed his hand just as sweetly. "Of course."

There was roaring and hissing, and Moon and Sun looked down at the deck to see Chip and Roxy play fighting.

"Here," Sun said as he guided Moon's hands to the stirring wheel, "I'll go moderate their little fight and help with the set up. You stay here and rest up, so you'll have some energy to enjoy everyone."

Moon nodded and Sun gave him a lingering hug. Before Sun parted, Moon said, "I hope Bonnie will be okay."

"I'm sure he will be." Then with a pat on his back, Sun left Moon alone. Moon fondly watched his partner go and he looked down at his crew as their merry making began to grow in volume.

The night was long with singing, and dancing, and talking. Even though Moon could tell that his crew was truly happy in this moment, he could also feel the unease in the air. He could feel the fear of, if even one person went to sleep, everyone would wake up to the sounds of cannon fire and enemies boarding the Crusty Waters. It's not an unfounded concern. That's why Moon wanted a slumber party on the deck because then everyone would be within working distance of getting the ship into running away shape or fighting shape.

Despite this, the crew enjoyed themselves. A barrel of mead was cracked open. Foxy sang and played his fiddle. People danced and play fought and told stories. When Bonnie and Mr. Hippo joined in on the party, everyone got even wilder in celebration of Bonnie being okay. It was nice, to be with everyone again. Moon doesn't want anyone to be taken away from him like that again. He'll fight tooth and claw before he'll let that happen again.

Moon was dozing on a mattress with Sun, as the solar stickman used his arm as a pillow. Eclipse was on Sun's other side as she slept like a corpse against him. Sun wasn't truly asleep, though, as he lazily drew circles on Moon's chest. On Moon's other side, you were snoring lightly as Chika was spooning you and Roxy was spooning her. Moon was watching the sky slowly shift from a blanket of stars to a pink and orange hue when your snoring quieted and he felt your hand grab his. Moon held your hand back.

"Morning," Moon whispered. You hummed at him as he heard you sniffling. "What's wrong?"

"Just a bad nightmare," you breathed.

Moon soothingly rubbed his thumb against the back of your hand. "What was it about, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I don't really know. There was a lot of purple, but that's all I remember."

Moon hummed to acknowledge you.

"Is Sun awake?" You asked.

Moon felt Sun's hand stop drawing circles on his chest and reach out to you. Moon helped Sun reach you and then all three of you were lazily holding hands.

"I have something I need to tell you two."

Moon felt Sun lift his head up and prop it against his hand to look better at you and Moon turned to look at you fully.

You hesitated for a moment, then you said, "I was contacted by Zulon… and she gave me directions on how to find her."

Moon stared wide eyed at you as Sun gasped.

"I need to find them, but I understand if you two and the crew don't want to follow the directions of a god that gives everyone a lot of grief but… I do plan on following the directions."

"If you think we'll just let you go out at sea again by yourself, your sorely mistaken," Moon stated.

"I don't even think it'll be much of a vote, when we tell the crew," Sun stated, "We all went to the brig for you, I think we can handle following some godly directions."

Moon hears you chuckle in a soft, fond sounding way, and he saw your smile widen. Then as soon as it was there, it was gone as you looked at him and Sun.

"There's also another thing."

"Have you found more lost gods," Sun joked.

"No, but…" you sigh, "if we find Zulon. I'm going to ask her to send me back to my dimension."

"What?! Why?!" Moon and Sun whisper shouted at the same time.

"Please, don't get me wrong," you pleaded, "I do enjoy being here and being with you guys and with this crew and your world is amazing and wonderful and everything, but… I miss my home. I want to go home so badly. I miss my parents and the parks and my little garden."

You started to cry as you listed all the things that you miss from your home dimension and it broke Moon's heart. Moon turn to look at Sun and the heart break was mirrored on his face. Moon turned back to you and scooted up closer to you as he felt Sun do the same.

"We'll help you get you home." Moon conceded.

"Consider yourself already home, in fact," Sun stated.

That made you chuckle as you sniffled and wiped away your tears with one hand. Then you said, "So um… Does that mean we shouldn't be in a relationship with each other or something to that affect? Or what? I'm not… I'd like to be what we are now, if that's okay with you two, but if it hurts too much to have me go, we can go back to being just friends or… whatever…"

"Even if we were just friends, it would still hurt just as much to see you go back to your home dimension," Sun said.

"And we're glad you would like to still be in this relationship with us. We'd like to keep that for as long as you'll allow it," Moon added.

You smile and nod. Then you pull your hand back so you can rub at your face and stretch. "God, I feel so awkward. These conversations are so hard to have."

Moon laughed with Sun at your words. Then Moon said, "It gets easier with practice."

"By the ocean's vengeance," Roxy snapped from over Chika's shoulder, "Will you three shut up, some of us are still trying to sleep."

"Yah!" Pigpatch, Orville and Monty quietly echoed.

Moon fell back down into the mattress with Sun as the three of you quietly apologized to everyone.
