Carmen comes over to check the pilots.

He is shot dead as Carmen and Ivy grab their P320 pistols.

Carmen shoots the two MIT soldiers on the boat outside.

The helicopter suddenly sinks.

Carmen begins to swim and open the door. As she tries to budge it open, Crackle opens it from the other side. Numbers start to ring round in her head.

Carmen leaps onto a sampan, uses a human shield and takes down the rest of the enemies with his M16A1. The last MIT is killed with a headshot in slow motion.
Ivy: Stay sharp, Carm. They're out there. This is Pelican Echo Red...
Crackle: Left side, Carmen! On the ridge!
Ivy: 12 o'clock, take cover!
Carmen, Ivy, and Crackle take out the rest of the Eastern Indonesian Mujahideen (MIT) in the jungle.

Carmen and Ivy swim to a covering point.

Carmen and Ivy begins swimming underwater to the boat with 2 MIT militiamen.
Crackle (In Carmen's mind, echoing): Cleo. Maelstorm. Esther.
Carmen drags a MIT under and knifes him in the neck while she swims up to the rally point with Ivy.

Duo MIT: Huh?
Zack and a Indonesian frogmen kill the two MIT at the rally point.
Zack: Hehehe... it never gets old.
Ivy: Carm, fill us in.
Carmen: Somewhere on this village is a Indonesian military outpost. Occupied by VILE's vice-leader Maelstorm.
Zack: SAM sites are destroying our FAC.
Ivy: It could be more than one. We'll disarm them and then call for Indonesian reinforcements. Zack, you and your team cover the bridge and the east river. Carmen, with me on the west perimeter. RP, the village in 5 minutes sharp. Got it?
Zack: Got it. C'mon, man.
Carmen and Ivy then proceed into the water. Carmen plants a C4 pack under a hut.
Zack (radio): Cleared east bank, moving to the bridge.
Indonesian Army (Pvt. Gilang; radio): Sierra team is at the north perimeter.
Carmen and Ivy climb inside a small hut. Ivy signals Carmen to kill the two sleeping soldiers. After they are killed, Carmen moves onto a third soldier and kills him as well.
Ivy: (To radio) Actual is clearing the west flank. ETA 3 minutes sharp. (To Carmen) We gotta split up. I'll take the high ground. You cross the river, find a place for the C4 cemtex.
Carmen: You got it.
Carmen parts from Ivy and swims to plant the C4. Carmen swims across the river (as a MIT soldier, who was thrown into the water after being killed) and links up with Ivy.
Carmen: Ivy, explosives are primed and ready.
Indonesian Army (Pvt. Gilang; radio): Sierra in position.
Zack (radio): 1-2 ready.
Ivy: Roger, Actual inbound.
Carmen and Ivy exit the building and link up with the rest of the ACME and Indonesian teams

Zack: Put a little present in the fuel reserve up ahead.

Carmen detonates the C4. The ACME and Indonesian team engages the MIT.

Carmen takes out the enemies on the rooftops
Ivy: Roof's clear! Move out!
They move through the village.
Zack: Keep pushing forward!
Ivy: Spider hole dead ahead! Throw a grenade in that spider hole!
Carmen destroys the spider hole with a grenade.
Zack: Any Indonesian stations this is RED 1-2! We got a SAM site on the river! Move it, Carm!
Ivy: Muj on the right!
Zack: Get that RPG on that site!
Ivy: That's the gun, Carm! Take it out. Once their air defense is out, we can bring in the local reinforcements.
Carmen picks up the RPG-7

A swarm of Blackhawk helicopter engages hostiles in the village.

They clear the remains of the dock.

Ivy: Area clear - We're gonna cut through this hut. Carmen, lead the way!
They continue through the village.

Carmen clears the hut and continues with the rest of the team
Ivy: Carm, make sure this area is clear!
Carmen: The tunnel up ahead.
Ivy: I see it.
They clear the village. Ivy tosses a frag inside the rat tunnel.

The grenade explodes, and MIT soldiers can be heard screaming inside the tunnel.
Ivy: We need to clear this tunnel.
Carmen: This tunnel's mine. Private Nadia, I know your language. With me.
Ivy: Okay... Becareful down there. Good hunting in this rabbit hole. (to radio) Icarus 1-1, this is Pelican Echo Red 1-1. Prep to recon sweep, 3 kilometers radius.
Indonesian Pilot (Sgt. Pujianto): Copy that, Actual.
Nadia and Carmen jump in the tunnel. Carmen turns her head flashlight on.

Numbers Station (in Carmen's mind): ...16, 23, 20...
Ivy and Zack leave. Carmen and Nadia head through the tunnel.

A MIT soldier jumps out and stabs Nadia. He is then killed by Carmen.

Carmen clears a room and regroups with Crackle.
Crackle: Where is your Indonesian friend Nadia?

Crackle: We will mourn her later, Carmen. There are signs of VILE presence in these tunnels... We are on the right path...
Crackle walks over to a barricade
Crackle: Here, help me move this.
Crackle and Carmen clear out the barricade
Crackle: Careful, I hear the enemy.
Crackle counter-attacks a MIT ambusher.

Carmen then moves first. She kills a MIT attempting to melee her with short spiked bamboo.

They continue through the tunnel
Crackle: We are getting close.

They kill the last of the MIT.
Carmen: ¡Hijo de puta! (Son of a bitch!)
Crackle: This is it... Maelstorm's forward compound.
The two breach Maelstorm's command center
Carmen: It looks abandoned.
Crackle: He anticipated our arrival...

Crackle turns on the radio and views some documents
Maelstorm (radio): 26th of May 2018. The stabilizing agents supplied by Doctor Franco have met much success.
Crackle: Look around.
Carmen: Quick, grab the documents. We're leaving!
Maelstorm (radio): Recent field tests on the local population have shown this to be the most effective strain of Nova 6 thus far. As with previous animal tests at our lab in VILE HQ, the onset of symptoms in human subjects is exactly in line with our expectations. Within thirty seconds of inhaling the gas, subjects experience sudden and severe pain quickly followed by significant drop in blood pressure, leading to fever, nausea and vomiting. After sixty seconds, blistering of the skin begins, followed by scaling, peeling and discoloration across the subjects entire body... Effectively signaling the onset of epidermal necrosis. At this stage, we have had limited success, by way of aggressive surgical debridement, in keeping subjects alive for short periods. But even the surgical removal of infected tissue is not enough to prevent further spread. While the speed of the infection appears to be consistent across adult males, we have observed a more aggressive rate of decay within infants, usually leading to mortalitely within 30 to 45 seconds. A Blackhawk destroys the cave. Zack and Ivy are seen riding it.
