Chapter 8: Bombshell
A/N: Okay...there's another...ahem...scene in this chapter.
I really appreciate the kind reviews, and I'm happy so many are enjoying the story. Enjoy!
Chuck and Sarah stepped into the club five minutes after Cole and the CATs went inside. Cole was playing the posh playboy, looking to entertain his 'dates' for the evening.
Sarah grabbed Chuck's hand, and leaned close to his ear. "Just follow my lead."
Sarah led Chuck to the bar, and took a seat on a stool. A bartender appeared. When Sarah spoke, Chuck did a double-take. The words were spoken in a perfect accent.
"I'd like a Bramble, please." Sarah said, then looked at Chuck, like a schoolgirl crushing on her date.
Chuck cleared his throat, then grinned. "I'd like a Dry Vodka Martini. Shaken…not stirred."
Sarah had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. The bartender looked confused by Chuck's remarkably good Sean Connery as Bond, James Bond impression.
Sarah molded herself into Chuck's side, giggling for no reason. She leaned close to his ear, and spoke into her mic. "I've got Federov. VIP booth opposite the bar."
The bartender sat the drinks down in front of the couple. Sarah looked up, and said, "Cheers."
Sarah took a sip of her drink, and motioned for Chuck to do the same with his eyes. He took a sip, and smacked his lips a few times.
"Blah! This is terrible!"
Sarah laughed, both in character, and for real. She rested her chin on Chuck's shoulder, speaking loud.
"You always order those disgusting drinks, Charlie. You're such a bad boy."
Chuck gave Sarah a faux serious look, playing along. "How's your Bramble, love?"
"Oh, Charlie…you're so cheeky. Finish your drink! I want to dance!"
Chuck grinned like a fool, and drank the entire glass. Sarah's eyes widened in shock. He slapped the glass on the counter. He pulled a 20 pound note, mindlessly tossing it on the counter toward the bartender.
"Keep the change, mate!" Chuck said excitedly.
"That's 30 quid...mate." The bartender replied.
Chuck stared the guy in the eyes, then dropped another 20 pound note on the counter. "Bloody expensive drinks."
The bartender shrugged. "I just serve them."
"Fair enough. Cheers." Chuck said, returning his attention to Sarah. The bartender nodded politely.
Sarah ran her hand inside Chuck's thigh. His eyes widened in shock. "Umph!"
Sarah gently bit Chuck's ear with her teeth, ghosting her lips across Chuck's neck. She keyed he mic again. "Clear. Starting phase II."
Sarah ran her hand sensually inside Chuck's thigh, and he finally reacted. Chuck winked, gently grabbed Sarah by the mouth, turning her face. He gently attacked her neck with his lips. He grinned as Sarah moaned.
"Oh Chuck…" Sarah whispered, then attacked Chuck's lips. As the kiss ended, Chuck whispered. "I'm sorry if that was too aggressive."
"It was perfect." Sarah said breathless, then glanced at Federov. "Okay…follow my lead."
Sarah led Chuck to the dance floor and started dancing, as she walked. Sarah turned, a coy grin on her face, and molded herself into Chuck's body. She grabbed him by the waist, and moved his hips in motion with her own. Pulling away, the couple danced close together. Sarah routinely turned a full 360 degree turn, then wrapped her arms around Chuck's neck.
Sarah whipped her head side to side, and Chuck thought he was going to have a heart attack. He had never seen anything so sexy in his life.
Sarah grabbed Chuck's head, kissed him softly on the lips, and then keyed her mic. "Execute."
Chuck didn't realize that Federov and his bodyguards were glued to them…well…to Sarah as she danced. Sarah knew her outfit and dancing would draw attention, but the only attention she cared about was Chuck. And, she was enjoying having her guy pinned to her body as they danced.
Carina and Zondra silently took out the four bodyguards, while Cole stuck a syringe in Federov's neck, knocking him out. As Cole pulled Federov out of his seat, with Carina and Zondra providing cover, Sarah noticed four more men approach the booth.
Sarah dipped her body down to a squat, removing her knives from her boots. She tossed both, landing in the guard's legs.
Another two guards approached behind Sarah. Chuck saw them, and readied himself. Sarah stood up swaying her body to the music, pulled two long stiletto blades from her hair, and flung them at the other two bodyguards.
Chuck grabbed Sarah, surprising her, and moved her to the side, while he elbowed one approaching guard in the face, breaking his nose. Sarah watched in amazement as Chuck grabbed the other guard's hand as he reached for his handgun, swept his leg, taking him to the floor. Chuck pulled the guard's own pistol, and knocked him out with it. He placed the gun on the floor, and shoved it across the dance floor.
Two more guards appeared out of nowhere, and grabbed Sarah by each arm. Chuck punched one guard stunning him, grabbed the other, and performed a hip toss. Still holding the guard's arm, he broke his wrist to take away his handgun. He planted his foot in the guard's face, knocking him out cold.
Sarah twisted the other guard's arm behind his back, breaking two of his fingers. She planted her foot in the back of the guard's right knee, took him to the ground, and planted her elbow in his face, knocking him out.
Sarah spotted three additional guards approaching. She made eye contact with Chuck, who nodded. Sarah jumped in his arms as Chuck swung her at the guards. She knocked two out in the first swing. Chuck grabbed her around the waist and swung her forward like a pendulum. Sarah landed in a straddle around Chuck's waist, with her right foot breaking the third guard's jaw.
Sarah dropped to the ground, and grabbed Chuck, continuing in their dance.
No one in the club noticed what was happening.
Sarah rested a hand on Chuck's cheek, placing a soft kiss on his lips as they danced.
"Next time…we'll do this for real." Sarah said softly.
Chuck nodded. "I had fun...even if this was a mission. You look gorgeous. That was totally bad-ass."
Sarah smiled, kissing Chuck again. "That's sweet. I enjoyed dancing with my handsome guy. Thanks for watching my back."
Sarah bit her lip, then held up her phone. "Smile." Sarah pulled Chuck close, and she snapped a picture. Looking at the phone, Sarah smiled. "I love it. I'll send you a copy."
Chuck laughed, and pulled out his own phone. Sarah turned in Chuck's arms with her back to his chest. Check hugged Sarah from behind, and placed his head over her shoulder as he took the picture. Sarah looked at the picture, and giggled. She smiled after pulling up a text with the picture.
Sarah placed a quick kiss on Chuck's lips, and sighed. "We'd better get going before it gets crazy in here."
With that, Sarah grabbed Chuck by the hand, and they headed for the exit.
Sarah led Chuck to the side alley, where Cole and the CATs were loading Federov in the side door of a van. The group all go in the van, and Chuck closed the door.
Carina gave Sarah a coy look. "That was the hottest thing I've ever seen, Sarah. Federov was practically drooling. He never knew what hit him."
It was Chuck that answered. "Good. I told Sarah earlier, Federov can choke on his own drool for all I care. Sarah wanted a dance. I'd be a lousy boyfriend if I didn't deliver."
Sarah smiled, and kissed Chuck softly on the lips. Zondra gave a slow cat-call.
Cole pat Chuck on the shoulder. "That was damn fine work, Chuck. Maybe you can teach this lecherous bastard a lesson about staring down your girlfriend while he's in custody?"
Chuck shrugged. "I would be wasting my breath, Cole. There's an old saying...you can lead an asshole to water, but you can't make him drink." Chuck grinned. "No...that's not right...I meant jackass."
Sarah snorted at the comment. "I think you had it right the first time...but somehow I think you already know that."
Zondra grinned. "I think Colonel Casey may be the teacher. When he's up and around again...I'm sure he'll be wanting to get acquainted with our friend Federov."
Chuck sniffed a few times, and looked at Federov. "Did...did this guy pee himself?"
Chuck grinned at Sarah. "Sarah...honey...the goal was to make the guy drool...not pee himself. You're an overachiever."
The team all snorted. Sarah bounced a shoulder. "What can I say? I'm good at my job."
Chuck gave a goofy look. "Agreed. You were a hot blonde bombshell, that's for sure. I'm not 12...so I can hold my bladder...but I thought I was about to self destruct."
Sarah laughed out loud, then leaned closer to Chuck. "Like I said...the only guy I'm seducing is you."
"Yep. Mission accomplished." Chuck wheezed. "Overachiever."
Sarah swatted Chuck playfully, laughing.
"That's just great. Now we have to smell Comrade Peepee all the way back to base. Anybody bring any air freshener? At least crack a window."
Sarah Walker had never in her life been as zeroed in in a target like she was morning after capturing Federov. But, it had nothing to do with the busy previous day. It had everything to do with the man she made loved. The man she was now certain, she was madly in love with. She wanted to help Chuck, and stopping Ilsa was the best way to do it.
Chuck noticed her eyes during the morning brief. He noticed her cold tone when she spoke, and the way her face not once broke a smile, or showed an ounce of emotion.
Colonel Casey had warned him that Agent Sarah Walker had a reputation. In the intelligence community, she was called the Ice Queen. Langston Graham had his own nickname for the blonde assassin. The Enforcer.
That's why Graham picked Sarah to lead the CATs. They were the CIA's best. Plus, he had to make a deal with her after assigning her to Bryce Larkin. Sarah was done with male partners.
Ironically, Sarah now considered Chuck not just part of her team, but her partner. On a personal, and professional level. They worked well together, and she was impressed at his natural leadership and humble heroics.
Chuck got up to leave after the meeting to go check on his CO. He knew Casey was like a caged animal. Once he was fully recovered, he pitied the bad guys.
Sarah was going over fresh intelligence with her team when Chuck quietly left the conference room.
Chuck checked in with Casey, and was walking down the hall to check his equipment when he felt himself yanked in a supply closet. His yelp was muffled by warm lips, and familiar hands roaming his body.
"Wow…didn't see that one coming. Nice ambush." Chuck said, as Sarah purred in his arms.
"Sorry. Carina and Zondra are checking on a few leads with Cole in our room. This is the only private place I could find." Sarah said, then bit her lower lip, speaking playfully. "And…I'm a little annoyed at you for leaving me high and dry like that."
Chuck placed his hands on Sarah's waist. "I'm sorry, Sarah. I just wanted to check in on Colonel Casey. I didn't want to intrude on your meeting."
Sarah smiled. "That's sweet…and I know that's why you did that. You're a gentleman. I like that. But, um…I also like to know where my boyfriend is going…so I won't have to come hunt him down for my next kiss." Sarah's lips ghosted over Chuck's. "You left me without a kiss, mister. That's unacceptable." Sarah attacked Chuck's lips after the statement.
Backing away, Chuck gently rubbed Sarah's back. "Let me just say…you're gorgeous when you're annoyed. I may have to annoy you again just to get this reaction." Chuck finished the statement, by capturing the base of Sarah's neck. She moaned softly, pulling Chuck's head close to her body.
After his loving assault, Sarah gave Chuck a wicked grin, then in a move he never saw coming, put him on the floor, on his back, with Sarah right on top of him.
"Girl on top." Chuck squeaked. "How…did…" Chuck muttered.
Sarah bumped a shoulder. "Spy. Remember?" Sarah finished the statement by grinding gently against Chuck's body.
Sarah kissed Chuck furiously, and grinned. "I don't like getting annoyed…Lieutenant. I'm going to have to pull rank."
Chuck grinned, caught Sarah off guard, and rolled her underneath him. She was stunned. No one had ever got the upper hand on her before. When she saw the look in Chuck's eyes, and his hands gently brushed a strand of hair, her whole body went limp.
"Forgive me for annoying you." Chuck said softly, then gently kissed Sarah's lips.
In response to Chuck's surprise, Sarah was now on fire. She wrapped her legs around Chuck's waist, pulling his body to her, grinding gently underneath.
"Don't tease me like this, Chuck…mmm…I need you now…"
Chuck winked, and stood straight up, pulling Sarah with him. She didn't know whether to scream, or laugh.
"What are you…" Chuck stopped Sarah with a searing kiss, lifting her in his arms.
Sarah's phone rang at that point. Chuck lowered her gently, and she huffed, answering annoyed.
"Walker."
Chuck kissed Sarah on the neck, and she molded to his touch.
"Um…okay…be right there."
Chuck let go and Sarah ran her hands through her hair in frustration. "This conversation isn't over yet."
"I'm looking forward to a continuation." Chuck said, folding his arms, a grin on his face.
"Grrrr!" Sarah huffed in frustration, then stormed out of the closet.
Chuck followed, but was pinned against the wall as soon as he exited, Sarah's lips pressed to his. Sarah ended the kiss, grabbed his hand, and pulled him down the hallway.
"Let's get this stupid briefing over with."
Sarah stepped into the room, and found Chuck sitting at a desk with a faraway look. She knew he was worried. So far, Federov had not given up much information, and an entire day had passed with no new leads.
"Chuck…it's going to be okay. We'll find her." Sarah said, hugging Chuck from behind.
Chuck sighed. "Sarah…I was in college during 9/11. I remember watching all that unfold on TV…and I just felt…helpless. I wanted to help those people…but I couldn't."
Sarah took a seat next to Chuck, holding his hand. "Chuck…there was nothing anyone could do. Those people hijacked four planes. This is different."
"I know." Chuck said softly. "I guess the consolation is I won't have to feel bad about failing. I'll be dead. Thing is...failure is not an option. Not with millions of lives at stake. I just...feel like a small fish in a big pond."
Sarah glanced away, thinking of something to say. She knew Chuck's blunt assessment was spot on. There would be no survivors from a nuclear detonation. Instead, she settled on boosting his confidence.
"Let me ask you something. When you walked into that house back in Iraq…did you feel helpless then?"
"Not really. I was focused on disarming the bomb. Nothing else was going through my mind." Chuck said, his tone calm.
"Then focus on nothing else when we find this device. Use your training…and your instincts. Chuck...I am in awe of your instincts. You did the impossible back then. I saw the report. Every expert that examined that report said you did the impossible. You beat her once…you will beat her again. I know you can do this." Sarah said passionately.
"Sarah…make no illusions about what we're up against. This will be the fight of our lives. If I had to guess…I'm going to have minutes to shut this thing down…and that's if we even find it." Chuck said, making eye contact with Sarah. "If the Costa Gravans give up the specs…I'll have a real shot at this. Otherwise…I'm flying blind."
Sarah smiled. "You still don't get it, Chuck. You were flying blind the moment you arrived on scene two years ago. Yet, you still went in that house, and beat Ilsa at her own game."
Chuck nodded. Sarah rubbed the back of Chuck's neck to settle his tension. She decided to take his mind off the grim reality of their situation.
Sarah leaned close to Chuck, resting her chin on is shoulder. "I still can't believe…you're here with me…and we're together. I dreamed so many times of what…being together would be like…and now that…fate brought us together again…I'm now finding myself thinking about…how happy our future looks together."
Chuck turned, and took Sarah's hands, he smiled at their hands, and made eye contact. "I thought about you…every single day. I…didn't expect to ever see you again. And…now that you're here…I have to pinch myself. It's like I'm living a dream…and I don't want to wake up." Chuck smiled. "It's…funny. I dreamed so many times of us…just…sitting in a restaurant…talking…laughing…getting to know one another. I thought of…our first kiss…and…just…holding you in my arms." Chuck laughed softly. "I still can't believe we…felt the way we did after meeting one time. Sarah…I was a jerk...yet we somehow…connected on that helicopter."
Sarah smiled. "When we first met…I couldn't get over how…cute and modest you are. I just felt…safe in your presence. I understood your anger…and frustration at Bryce…thinking we were a couple." Sarah paused to settle her emotions. "When he told me what he did to you…I felt sick. The way he described you…I knew you were a wonderful guy…someone I would have…fallen in love with in another life. And…when we met…I was blown away. You were so much more…wonderful than the myth. The reality was so much sweeter, Chuck."
"Bryce always had a way with women. He…just attracted women. He was good at it. I'm…sorry I assumed the two of you were together." Chuck said softly.
"Don't be sorry." Sarah said, stroking Chuck's hands with her thumbs. "I'm just…not that kind of girl. When I was a teenager…boys didn't really pay attention to me. I had…braces and scraggly hair. To be honest…I didn't really think about boys. My father and I…traveled a lot. I had a lot of aliases. Back then…my life revolved around the next con. Before I met you…my life revolved around the next mission. The CIA taught me how to use my looks as a weapon. And…all these men who tried to sleep with me…it disgusted me. Despite who I am…I'm not shallow. Now…" Sarah trailed to stop the whimper from escaping her lips. "…my life revolves around you…around…us. I want a future with you, Chuck. I know that with all my heart."
"And I want you too, Sarah." Chuck said softly. "I gave up on being happy in a meaningful relationship…and now…all I can think about is…wanting to be with you. Wanting to…make you happy. It brings me such joy to see you smile…and laugh…and…that cute way you chew on a pen when you're reading a file….lost in deep thought. God, Sarah. Everything about you makes me feel like I'm living in a happy dream. You are beautiful…amazing…and you have a heart of gold. I don't know what a beautiful woman like you sees in me…but I'm not going to take what we have for granted. I'll never take you for granted. I love you…and I know without a shadow of a doubt…my heart belongs to you, and you alone."
Sarah kissed Chuck softly on the lips as the whimper escaped her lips. "I love you too, Chuck. So…so much. I hate to break it to you…but you had me at 'hi.' I'll tell you what I see in you…I see a man with a big heart, who wants desperately to help me, and everyone around him. Who loves unconditionally…even a former con artist, and a heartless assassin. Before you…I was nothing but a spy. And now…the greatest honor of my life is being your girl. You don't just have my heart, Chuck…you have all of me. Now…and forever."
Chuck crashed his lips into Sarah's and she moaned softly in his mouth. The kiss turned passionate quickly, and Sarah lifted herself into Chuck's arms.
Chuck caught Sarah's gaze briefly with his eyes, nodding. Sarah smiled, nodding back, as she slung off her jacket, and began working on Chuck's belt.
Sarah was surprised when she felt herself lifted in the air. On instinct, she wrapped her legs around Chuck's waist, as their tongues dueled passionately. Chuck gently lowered her into bed, and Sarah unbuttoned her pants, pushing them down. She kicked off her shoes, and finished her work on Chuck's pants.
Panting heavily, the couple began making love at a slow, tender pace. Sarah grabbed the bed sheets with one hand, and held Chuck firmly in her arms with the other, as soft cries escaped her lips.
Two Hours Later...
Sarah smiled as she met Chuck's eyes. She gently caressed his face, practically floating at the way Chuck looked in her eyes with love and affection.
Sarah blew a quick breath, and swallowed as her body relaxed. Chuck swallowed hard, closing his eyes hard in quick succession to steady himself.
Sarah moistened her lips, and pulled Chuck to her face for a soft kiss, then whispered in his ear. "Just stay like this…please."
"God, Sarah…you feel so amazing. So…soft. Can't believe we made love two times in a row. That was amazing." Chuck whispered back.
"Mmmm." Sarah sighed. "Just gets better and better."
Chuck struggled to catch his breath. "Um…wow…"
Sarah giggled against Chuck's chest. "I haven't worn you out, have I?"
"Just…out of breath. I'm good." Chuck said, still catching his breath. He lifted Sarah's face in his hands, smiling. "That was…intense. Incredible. Yet...beautiful all wrapped up into one." Chuck panted.
Sarah smiled, lifting herself to Chuck's lips for a soft kiss. She gently stroked Chuck's cheeks with her fingers as Chuck's hands gently brushed Sarah's hair.
"I love you, Chuck." Sarah said softly.
"I love you too, Sarah." Chuck replied, lost in Sarah's eyes.
Chuck gulped. "I'm…at a loss for words."
Sarah snickered. "Did I break you, sweetie."
"Nope…not broke." Chuck paused.
Sarah smiled, capturing Chuck's lips. She pulled away, sighing. "That was beautiful, I agree. We just felt...as one."
Sarah frowned, looking at her phone. "Suppose we'd better shower before our next briefing."
Chuck sighed. "And reality drops right back in our lap."
Chuck sat up, kissing Sarah on the lips. "Thank you for our talk earlier, Sarah. I'm sorry about my attitude. You're right…I will figure out a way to disarm this bomb. Nothing is going to stop our future together. Deal?"
"Deal." Sarah said, hugging Chuck close.
Chuck lifted himself out of bed, and swept Sarah in his arms. Sarah giggled as Chuck carried her to the shower.
Chuck noticed the pissed off look on Casey's face the moment he entered the room. Casey was wrapping up his statement of events from the night before. He told them everything he knew.
Except one detail. If Casey ever set eyes on Ilsa again…he was going to blow her head off.
Chuck took a seat next to his CO, handing him a file. "If it's any consolation, Colonel…you couldn't have known Ilsa is Sheba."
Casey grunted angrily. "Sheba. Hmph. More like Whore. Fits better. She played her role too damn well."
Chuck didn't dare agree, or disagree with Casey's assessment. He chose the wise route, and kept his mouth shut.
Casey sighed. "That was damn fine work disarming the bomb, Lieutenant. I owe you one." Casey looked around. "Where's Walker? Figured you two were attached at the hip."
"Sarah and the CATs are interrogating Viktor Federov…the night club owner who moonlights in black market weapons." Chuck said, handing Casey a photo of Federov.
Casey looked as though he wanted to kill someone. He grunted angrily, and shot out of his seat. "Lead the way, Bartowski. I'll get the bastard to talk."
Chuck led Casey to the room being used to interrogate Federov. Chuck didn't like where this was going, and tried to talk Casey off the fence. "Colonel Casey...we have to follow the rules with prisoners."
"I do follow the rules." Casey grunted angrily. "It's called the Casey Act."
Casey drew his handgun, and racked a round in the firing chamber. He stopped, holding the gun up for Chuck to see. "I'll let Gertrude do the talking for me."
Casey stormed into the room, with Chuck right on his heels. Sarah, seeing the look on Casey's face, and Chuck pleading with him…decided to act as a goalie on Chuck, stopping him from intervening.
"Colonel…wait…" Chuck pleaded.
"Chuck…no…stay back." Sarah said, holding Chuck in place.
"Fine, Bartowski...I'll compromise." Casey holstered his sidearm.
Carina and Zondra stepped away, as Casey yanked Federov from his seat, and planted him against the wall by his neck with one hand, while a knife appeared in the other. Casey spoke with venom as he addressed Federov.
"Listen to me…shit stain. If you don't talk…and I mean right fucking now…I am going to remove your guts, tie them in a noose…and hang you by your own damn entrails." Casey put the knife to Federov's stomach, just breaking the skin to prove his point.
"All right! I'll talk!" Federov said. "You're looking for bomb. It's already here." Federov smiled. "You're too late."
Casey slowly cut along Federov's stomach, just enough to draw blood. "Where is it?" Casey said, his tone deep, and powerful.
"I…don't know! I swear! She took the bomb and left!"
"WHERE!?" Casey shouted. Federov shook his head. "I deliver bomb, I get money. That's all I know."
Casey grunted, then dropped the guy to the floor. Federov got to his feet smiling. "Ilsa said you were a smart one. Too bad you weren't good in bed."
Without even turning around, Casey drew his handgun and pistol whipped Federov, knocking him out cold.
"What else did this piece of shit give up?" Casey asked, looking over his handgun, wiping away Federov's blood.
Carina shrugged. "Not much. Just the drop where he delivered the bomb. He also confirmed it's the core and detonator only. 1 megaton yield."
"Enough to level London." Chuck said concerned.
Sarah turned. "Any idea how big it will be, Chuck?"
"Both cores are about the size of a grapefruit. It'll be contained in a tube, with a cylindrical disk on the end. That's the detonator."
"So…it could fit in a suitcase." Zondra said. "Shit. We're looking for a needle in a haystack."
Carina huffed. "Which means it could be anywhere. We could comb every inch of this city for months and still not find it."
Chuck thought hard. "Not exactly. You can't just stuff a nuke in a suitcase, and toss it down an alley. It gives off one doozy of a heat signature. Ilsa knows we have thermal detection devices everywhere. She would need to hide it somewhere that would shield the thermal signature of the bomb. Say…in a radiology department of a hospital or lab, or underground…"
"Talk to me Chuck." Sarah asked, taking his hand.
"Sarah…the London Underground."
Casey rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I'll be damned. Our thermal detection systems wouldn't detect the bomb underground."
Sarah paced the room. "We need every available set of eyes combing through CCTV footage of the London Underground, and any facility with a radiology lab. We've got to find that bomb."
Chuck sighed heavily. "We also need people combing the subway system with Geiger Counters...but that will be a tall order. We need a location to narrow down our search. Maybe this drop location Federov talked about can give us a lead."
Sarah approached. "Chuck…I also need you to use you, um…other skill set."
"You mean…Piranha?" Chuck asked cautiously.
"Yep. Ilsa is carrying a burner. We need to get that phone if we stand a chance at finding her. According to MI-5 and MI-6, Fulcrum has gone radio silent. It's like they have their own network they're communicating off of." Sarah paused when Chuck glanced away, unsure of himself.
Sarah approached, taking his hands. "Chuck…listen to me. I think it is noble of you to put that part of your life behind you. You are the most humble, and honest man I have met. But sweetie…we need you to do this. You will be using it for good…I promise."
Chuck sighed. "Okay. I'll do it."
Sarah turned to face Casey. "Casey…you have intimate knowledge of the mark. You know Ilsa better than anyone. Can you work with Chuck on tracking her down?"
Casey grunted. "With pleasure. I've got a bullet with her name on it."
Sarah next addressed Carina and Zondra. "I'd like for the two of you to check out the drop where Federov delivered the bomb. See if you can find anything that might help us."
Sarah's fellow CATs nodded, then left the room.
Sarah eyed Casey, then Chuck. "Alright boys…let's go hunting."
A/N: Nothing good ever happens at a night club, does it? Every TV show or movie I've ever seen has some sort of shenanigan happen at a club!
The next few chapter will be rather long, just like this one. I decided to break up one tiny chapter I had written and merge it into two other chapters. Plenty of action in the next chapter!
