It's been 4 days since the murder of Izuku Midoriya. Even if most people already forgot about the incident, even the school resumed from the very next day, but a few people were still stuck by the incident. Such 2 people were having an conversation in a public cafe.
"So the only information you have got is the letter "Phantom"?" asked the red haired big guy with a hat and mask to hide his identity.
" Well, though out the investigation, there were no other hint we got. It's as if the killer did it on purpose."
" Do you have any idea about the, Mr. Todoroki?" Asked detective Tsukauchi while taking of his hat.
Enji Todoroki nodded as he took a sip to his tea.
" Whatever the "Phantom" is, it has to be connected with the commission. That's all I can guarantee." Enji Todoroki replied.
" Are you sure?" Detective Tsukauchi had his face completely paled out.
" If you meant the commission is behind it, then it might be a deep sea under this case."
" Yeah, you are right. and I am willing to take down that bastard by myself." Enji retorted.
" No, you shouldn't. I mean you can't fight him unless we take care of his quirk, right?" Detective Tsukauchi stopped him.
Enji sighed as he knew it was the reality. He can't basically do anything against the chairman.
" If he is the one behind this, than we better wait for the perfect chance. I will also think about stopping his quirk too. So be patient, Endeavor." Detective Tsukauchi adviced kinda lost Endeavor.
Endeavor sighed as he realized, he can fight this by his own,so he trusted in detective Tsukauchi.
" Ok, I will wait, but I will make sure that bastard pay for his doings, I am making it clear." Endeavor slammed the table as he walked away from the cafe.
On the other hand, Detective Tsukauchi sat alone on his seat and sighed, " It will be a deeper mess than I thought."
At the same time, in the hideout of the trio who saved Izuku from falling, everything looked kinda tensed.
Both Ajiro and Hito was gossiping about random affairs, while Obake was in a room which was marked as Emergency room. Even though they were chatting about how fucked up the society is, they wasn't showing much emotion as if they were really worried about something.
After a few minutes later, Obake came out of the room in an apron and mask. He took out the surgical mask and removed the apron and sat on an empty sofa. He looked exhausted.
" Damn, it's fucking tiring to use my quirk for this long." Obake exclaimed.
The others two just watched him with their worried faces.
" Well then, was it successful?" Ajiro asked quite nervously.
His eyes, face body everything was saying that he wanted a positive news.
" Who the fuck you guys think I am? I may looked like a psychopath or act as a psychopath, but I also had medical experiences too. And with my quirk, why do you guys doubt about success?" Obake growled angrily.
" Well, that's the reason we are worried about." Hito slammed the comment on his face.
" A crazy maniac self proclaimed researcher and healer with a quirk like that, is really a thing to be worried about." Ajiro added to the comment which left Obake heart broken.
" Meanies..." Obake cried out.
But all of a sudden he was slapped on the back of his head by Hito kowareru.
" Cut the act, now tell us . What's the condition of Izuku Midoriya?" Hito demanded answer.
Obake rubbed his head and than sighed.
" Well, he is out of danger even after losing that much blood. I also healed his wounds as if there were nothing happened. He might woke up soon, but don't just got shocked when that happens " Obake left a creepy smirk while ending the sentence.
Seeing his smirk, both of them understood, Obake did something to the boy.
" What did you do ,you crazy maniac? " Ajiro shouted at him.
" Nothing really, just gave him a new shape and look, so that people can't recognized him." Obake explained while smiling creepily.
" Shouldn't you need to wait till he woke up first?" Ajiro questioned.
" Well, he did it right. As shifting a living body is so much painful that most of them die while shifting with his freaking quirk. And as for Izuku Midoriya, I can say that his mind or consciousness is completely resting now, so he won't feel any pain now." Hito explained Obake's action.
" Damn it, you guy's quirks are really complicated mess." Ajiro stated being slightly annoyed.
Obake begun to laugh at him as he lost his coolness and now being embarrassed.
Hiding his embarrassment, Ajiro swapped the topic towards the school incident, where they left Izuku Midoriya but also saved Izuku Midoriya.
" I still can't believe they actually fall for that."
" If you are talking about the drama we made of Izuku Midoriya being killed, then it's actually true." Hito added.
" You guys really doubt my ability.." Obake said in a sad voice.
" Well, the amount of chimera you created recently, I highly doubt you had any control over your quirk." Hito stated that again in the face of Obake.
" Bruh, you really think I lost control over my quirk. seriously , I created those chimera only to make an army of those things, but the thing I did there was coping a person's cell and multiply them in another body. I shifted the body in a way that every cell in the body of formerly known as Shin Taiju had just turned into Izuku Midoriya. Even DNA test can't deny the fact." Obake said forcefully.
" Man, your explanation is kinda big and weird, it's annoying." Ajiro exclaimed his feelings of hearing such explanation for a long time.
Obake was hurt again by his friends. Grabbed his chest dramatically and looked away from them.
" Nevermind that, but that means Shin Taiju didn't exist now, right?" Hito asked him for confirmation.
" Well, physically no. Also no in mentally as he was killed by Izuku Midoriya. I just used his dead body to transform it into the body of Izuku Midoriya. " Obake answered.
" But there's something different about this brat's cell. I can tell it. I need to research on it so I took some of his blood and hair as sample." he added.
Hito looked at him with concerned eyes.
" Wasn't he supposed to be quirkless?"
" Well, he is. but his cells are kinda different." Obake replied.
Realizing the conversation , Ajiro sighed as he said, " So he is now a test object for you?"
" Not really..."
He got cut off as there was a noise coming from the emergency room. Without a delay, the trio move to the room only to see a boy sat on the bed while trying to remove the medical wires and pipes from his body.
Both Hito and Ajiro's jaw dropped down at the new look of the boy. Both of them can barely recognized the boy now.
" Who are you?"
" Who is he?"
" Where is the greeny?"
Being stunned, both of them begun to question Obake and Izuku, to which Izuku was also dumbfounded.
"Calm down you two. Didn't I explain it before?" Obake responded while trying to contain his laughter at those two.
Looking at the awaken new Izuku Midoriya, Obake pointed his finger at him,
" Yo, former greeny.. Welcome back."
Izuku still couldn't understand what was happening. The last thing he remembered was fighting that Shin Taiju guy, who was killed by him. Remembering that sight of the beheaded assassin, Izuku felt sick that he wanted to throw up.
" You okay there?" Obake asked him as he saw him curled himself in a round shape.
" Where am I and why am I here?" Izuku said in a frustrated voice. But this time Izuku noticed that his wounds are already gone.
Being surprised, he added, " What happened to my wounds?"
" Hmm.. that's a very good question, but before I answer, I want you to look yourself in the mirror first." Obake asked him.
Izuku being confused, moved his way toward the mirror which was placed besides the door. Izuku slowly stood before the mirror as the trio being prepared for a scream.
The moment Izuku stood before the mirror, all he knew that that wasn't his reflection. In the reflection, he can see a bluish white hair, blue emerald eyes, taller than himself and quite muscled young boy. He begun to touch himself only to realize it was his reflection all along. Izuku left a huge scream of shock.
The trio blocked their ears with their hands to survive the deadly scream.
Izuku horrifiedly turned to the trio and asked shakily, " What the hell happened to me?"
" I changed your appearance, that's the case. " Obake explained.
" Why though?" Izuku asked shakily as he was still in shock.
" Well, for that , you have to understand the complete situation you are in." Hito replied to his question.
" Then explain it to me. " Izuku told them while being still shocked.
" Well then, listen..." Obake went on with a sigh and begun to explain the fact that Izuku Midoriya is dead in public's eyes and things about how he is completely healed.
Izuku sat on the bed quietly and listened everything carefully.
" So, I am already dead but I am still alive?" Izuku asked quite in a funny tone.
"Nah, you are just a ghost." Ajiro laughed while slapping his back.
Izuku also chuckled while listening the word ghost.
" Anyway, now let's talk about business." Obake took Izuku's attention towards him.
" Well, firstly, congrats. You have passed the test. So as the reward, I will tell you what you wanted to know." Obake stated it.
Izuku looked at him with serious face, but he had a smirk in his face.
" Well, is the hero commission behind the scene?" Izuku asked as his smile turned into anger.
The trio was shocked that he was able to make the assassin talk.
" Well, most specifically, the chairman of the hero commission, Masaru Nimajika is the one behind the scene." Obake explained.
Izuku was stunned. It wasn't any normal person, it was from the hero commission chairman. He wondered what his deal with his family. but deep down he sweared to himself, he would end that bastard's life.
" Now, I know you wanted to take your revenge, but the current you can never make it to the point alone. You know that right?" Hito finally spoke up.
Izuku knew very well, it was true. He was still very weak. specially compared to these people, he can't do anything. So he sadly nodded.
" Then here's the offer. Join our group Phantom " Obake offered his hand.
Izuku looked very surprised, these people want him to join them, even if he was quirkless. He was barely able to believe that.
" You aren't joking, right?" Izuku asked them nervously laughing while looking at all three members. They had a serious face that time.
"Do we looked like we are joking now? " Ajiro asked him Coldly.
Izuku had tears on his eyes. He took the offered hand and accepted the offer.
" I am in. Please look after me till I succeed in my revenge." Izuku said loudly.
The trio had a satisfying smile on them.
" Well, so it would be better if we officially introduce each other. " Obake proposed.
All 4 of them agreed.
" Well I will start" Said the white haired boy with glasses.
" You already know, I am Hiroshi Ajiro, Quirk: Shadow control, I am the one basically known as Phantom. I am also the hacker and stalker of the group." He finished with a smile.
" Such a long ass introduction." Obake teased him.
"Shut up..." Ajiro yelled.
" Well, I will go next ." Said the bluish white haired boy.
" Name Hito Kowareru. Quirk mind manipulation. You already know how it works." He completed shortly.
Izuku thought for a little bit of time. He thought for a few moments about the darkside he met in his mind and he seemed to come to realization something.
" It was you ?" He wondered.
" What?" Hito replied with a smile.
Izuku got the answer. Also he wondered why didn't Hito have any villain name. Maybe because he didn't exist in people's mind.
Hito was still smiling at Izuku as he thought, "not bad. He really is a good analyst." told Obake while using telepath.
Obake had a chuckle.
" Anyway, Hito is our main strategist and planner. He act mostly from behind the scene, you can understand why." Obake complemented on him.
Izuku knew how a mind manipulation quirk could control everything from the shadow. So he nodded.
" As for me, the heros named me Obake, a shapeless monster. My quirk Particles manipulation allow me to shift any thing I touch, even if it's a living or non living thing." Obake explained himself.
" Also, I am a self proclaimed crazy doctor for the group." Obake said with a creepy smile.
Izuku got chills run in his spine. Not only Obake's expression was creepy, but added to his long hair covering his face while talking made him more scary. Also he wasn't exposing his real name. Izuku in mind thought, " Who really are you?"
" That's something I also wanna know." Hito told him via telepath.
Izuku was kinda shocked as the members of Phantom also didn't know. So he marked Obake as a mysterious guy.
" Bruh.. cut that telepathic chat. I feel like I am being left behind." Ajiro begun to yell at them.
" Oh.. you were here, I didn't notice you." Hito said in a funny way, which caused a heart break act in Ajiro as he fall down dramatically why shedding fake tears .
" Meanie .." he responded.
All 3 of them begun to laugh at his act. Izuku thought about them. They were maybe dangerous, but they seemed to be friendly. After being treated harshly for all over his childhood, Izuku thought maybe these people won't be that bad with him. Maybe he can get used to them and become useful for them.
So Izuku had decided. He smiled brightly as he begun to say, " I am Izuku Midoriya, aka Ghost, at your service. "
The trio didn't really expected him to be this bold, but they enjoyed it. They had a chuckle in their faces.
" Well then, Ghost. you know your limitations. So for the next few months, before you become a official member of the group "Phantom" , we three will train you to get strong. Get ready for hellish training. " Obake told him as he get up from his chair and begun to move towards the door.
" And also, welcome to the Phantom." He closed his speech as he walked out of the room.
Izuku had a determined look in his face. But suddenly he cried out, " How long I have to wear these syringe and pipes?"
Both Hito and Ajiro wasn't expecting that and also realized their so called doctor is gone.
" Oh , I guess till he return next time." Ajiro said with a laughter.
Izuku chuckled as he lay down on his bed, "Well then, I will rest till then." But soon he felt asleep.
The duo was speechless how fast that was. They thought maybe he was still recovering as both of them know how much energy it drains from the use of Obake's quirk on both himself and the one whom it was used. So the left him there. But they were happy, they got a little genius in the group.
As so, 7 months have already passed since than. The society was already seeing a new terror rising in the name of Phantom.
"Another Aldhera Junior High school student found dead in his house. There was also the sign of phantom beside the dead body. With it, 39 murder cases has been related to the mysterious Phantom." A tv reporter was speaking via TV.
But suddenly the tv got slashed. A young man with bluish white hair, with a black mask and a black long jacket had a sword in his hand. He looked widely to a person who was tied to the chair. He had horror in his eyes.
" Huh, teach. Why so afraid did ya saw a ghost?" The boy asked him.
Then suddenly he begun to laugh.
" Oh yeah.. I tied your mouth too. Don't worry, they all felt the same when I killed them, your students."
The boy quickly drew his sword beside the neck of the yellow haired teacher.
" Didn't you recognized me yet?"
" I am the one they called Ghost, the ghost of a quirkless brat." he begun to laugh as the sword begun to scratch on his neck.
The middle school teacher had seen horror. The news of the death of Midoriya was ignored, but the sudden serial murder of his students have gave him enough horror. Now seeing the firstly dead kid as the killer of them made him regreted for everything he did in the past. He knew very well, he was also responsible for creating this monster, the Ghost of the Phantom.
Tears were rolling out of his eyes. Seeing that The ghost felt cringed.
" What now, cry yourself for mercy? "
"Sorry, I ain't merciful."
As he said, Izuku slashed through his neck. The teacher fall dead on the floor.
As he was viewing the sight of blood crippling through his neck, a figure appeared behind him from the shadow.
" Well, ghost. good job. but now stop wasting time. " The figure said.
" Come on Ajiro , let me enjoy his dying moments. " The ghost replied.
" Sigh..." Ajiro expressed his disappointment as he had to finish the act now.
He took the blood which was dropped on the floor and drew an Phantom sign with that on the wall.
" Ghost, we are moving." Ajiro said as he pulled Izuku through his shadow.
Izuku while being dragging in to the shadow, looked toward the dead body and bowed down a bit with a chuckle, " Thanks for being my 20th kill, teach."
With a laugh he completely vanished from the scene along with Ajiro.
Few hours later, the police found the body and they were worried that it was the 40th murder which is connected with phantom. More importantly, it's the 22nd case that included Aldhera Junior High School with phantom.
Detective Namosa Tsukauchi sighed while reading the file regarding to the Phantom. In the report, it just say as a person. But he understood something. It wasn't a person, it's a group of criminal. With this the police had turned Phantom a S Ranked criminal organization.
