I have a perfectly reasonable explanation on my very slow update. You can put your torches knives, and weaponry away.
My Internet was cut off for almost a month, and my laptop that had the newest chapter on it went haywired and broke down on me. There was so much on it. I was so upset that I didn't type anything. I was depressed for awhile, and then there was the writer's block. I had no inspiration and waited for some to come. Then, I have homework over the summer, which majorly sucks by the way. And I promised myself I'll get the homework done. But I soon found my inspiration when I watched Pokemon the First Movie. I was in a burst of energy and immediately typed it today. I know it's a bit laggy, but I'll make it up to you all with a chapter that is 30 pages long. I'll try and fit it into my busy schedule, but that's life. And life is making me its bitch. But I'm trying to get it done. If you all be patient with me, I will be glad. There may be a bit of foul language in here, but it is necessary. Anyways on with the story.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN POKEMON.
"Sir," spoke a masculine voice. "I have reports that Subjects X-854 and Y-946 are on the move."
"Perfect," whispered a person. "We will be seeing them soon. Their destines are in our hands. Make sure nothing happens to them. Or their Pokemon."
"Yes sir," replied the masculine voice, before footsteps were heard. They were receding from other person.
The person walked over to a large screen. The screen immediately turned on and was followed by the rapid clicking of buttons. The image screen steadily focused until it was clear. Two people were on the screen and were riding Pokemon. They were moving fast through the air with their cloaks billowing in the wind.
The image was zoomed in, giving a clearer image. At close range, a strange item was reflecting the moonlight. The person's eyes narrowed as they stared at it. With a smirk, the screen was turned off, putting the person in complete darkness.
'X-854 and Y-946 do not fail me.' The thought rode through the person's mind without another moment.
"Hanna! Jake!" greeted Dawn as she waved at her two friends. The duo had huge smiles as they landed on the ground. Jake jumped off his Dragonite and ran straight for Dawn. He wrapped his arms around her, giving her a huge bear hug. Suddenly, his face lit up like a Christmas tree as he let go of her and backed up. He scratched the back of his head with a goofy grin on his face. A deep rose blush was spread on his face.
"Hehe, sorry," Jake awkwardly apologized. Dawn gave him a perplexed expression.
"There's nothing wrong with hugging a friend, silly," she giggled.
"Uhm, well. Uh…" The ravenette stumbled on his words as he looked away.
Hanna, not so far away, smirked. 'He's such a lovesick puppy,' she thought to herself.
"Hey, Dawn," greeted Hanna. "It's been months haven't it?" The bluenette giggled and gave one of her bright smiles.
"It has." She looked at their Pokemon. "Your Pokemon must be exhausted, and you guys have to be too. Why don't you rest here for a bit until you go where you're headed."
"Well, we are actually here to visit you." The bluenette looked at them, obviously confused.
"Really?"
"Yeah, it was Jake's idea. He wanted to visit you." The boy in conversation was currently stroking Dragonite's head and turned away, trying to hide the deepening blush.
"Really." Dawn gave a soft smile. "Well, I was about to head to the Unova Region."
"The Unova Region?"
"Yes," spoke a deep voice. They all turned to see the lavender-haired boy come out from underneath the shade of the umbrella with a somewhat stern expression.
"Yea, that's right. Paul, Barry, and I were going to head to the new region to look for new Pokemon and meet new trainers." A certain blonde heard his name and popped out of his bubble.
"That's hard to forget. Paul promised we would go as a group. Riiiiiighht, Paaaauuuullll?" drawled Barry as he grinned widely at the other boy.
"When did I say that?" he scoffed.
"You promised, remember? Dawn remembers. Right, Dawn?"
"Yea, you promised Paul." Dawn looked at her friend with her big blue eyes, and if anyone were studying closely, they can see him flinch a bit at her stare. With a twitch of his mouth, he grudgingly said,
"Yes I remember." His two companions cheered. "And if I remembered correctly, we are supposed to be departing this afternoon."
"We already have our stuff packed and everything," said Dawn.
"Oh," whispered Jake. "I thought we can spend some time together. As friends, I mean!" He shut his mouth immediately as his blush darkened.
"Well, why don't you come with us?" asked Barry. "The more the merrier. We can always battle. Wait how about we battle right now? How about now?! WE SHOULD RIGHT NOW!"
"Barry, calm down." Dawn placed her hand on the hyperactive boy's shoulder. "You just had a battle with Paul. Don't you think he should rest?"
The hyper boy stopped jumping and looked over his shoulder to see Empoleon sleeping in the shade of the tree. It was resting, attempting to regain his strength from his previous battle.
"You're right." Barry had a sullen look but sprang back up with a toothy grin. "But that means we can battle when we go to Unova." He then pointed a finger at Hanna and Jake. "And I'm going to battle you two to start out this journey, alright?"
The duo looked at each other before nodding their heads.
"Sure, if you're not afraid to lose," joked the blue-eyed ravenette.
"What was that?!" Barry jumped.
"I said if you're not afraid to lose, Jumpy."
"I'll show you at Unova, Spunky."
"Sure you will." Jake grinned at his companion's antics. She just loved challenging people.
"So what do you say, are you guys coming?" interrupted Dawn.
"That's a yes from both of us!" Hanna broke out, slapping a hand on Jake's shoulder. "Right, Jake?"
"Right."
"Well, it's settle. We leave at 6."
"It's already 5:50," said Paul, who already had his backpack strapped on and his Pokeballs with his Pokemon.
"Aw man!" shouted Dawn. "We gotta run if we want to make it!" The bluenette sped to get her stuff with Piplup on her tail.
"I gotta do the same!" Barry took off as well. Paul scowled at his friend's forgetfulness.
"Come on if you're coming," Paul said to the other two. The ravenettes nodded their heads, returning their Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Storm leaped onto Hanna's shoulder as they all took off for the ferry.
"Damn, it's hot," groaned a green-eyed figure. The person was sprawled on a large flat rock with a small Pokemon on its back.
"If you weren't standing in the damn sun, you wouldn't be," growled a purple-eyed figure.
"Fuck you."
"If I rolled that way, I would have found someone with more class." The purple-eyed figure can feel the burning glare of the green-eyed person. He rolled his eyes, but his ear twitched back. Turning his head slightly to the right, he can see a small creature sitting on a branch above his head. The creature gave a small squeak before leaping onto his shoulder.
The Pokemon was careful not too harm the man with its poisonous spikes. Its purple skin was spotted with the rays of sunlight that managed to break through the canopy of leaves above its head. Its spines stood proudly on its back as they were angled away from the purple-eyed man's head.
"Nidoran, what's the report?" The Pokemon known as Nidoran gave a squeak as its red eyes dilated. Reading his Pokemon's actions, he looked back over at the green-eyed man who was resting on the rock. "X-854 and Y-946 are on the move. We should meet up with them."
The green-eyed man turned over onto his side while the Pokemon who was on his back climbed over him and sat in front of his stomach. Its dull golden scales reflected the light into the purple-eyed man's face. The Pokemon patted its paws onto the rock; its small claws made a clicking sound.
"We have to now? I'm too lazy, and it's too hot!" groaned the green-eyed man. The Pokemon next to him made a noise of disapproval before laying next to its trainer. The purple-eyed man scowled before whispering something to his Nidoran. The Nidoran's mouth opened, and small but fast purplish-pink needles shot out and was aimed at the two.
The man's green eyes widen as he and his Pokemon dodge the attack and landed in a back flip onto the ground.
"What the hell was that for!?" cursed the green-eyed man. The Pokemon now recognized as Sandshrew balled its paws up and emphasized its trainer's actions.
"Now that you two are up, we can leave," said the purple-eyed man, who proceeded to walk deeper into the forest with the Nidoran trailing right beside him. The other two deadpanned and groaned before racing after the two receding forms.
The next chapter will be up by the end of next week. I promise you that. I'm already working on it now. Trying to inspire myself. So yeah! Anyways, read and review. And A promise is a promise. Wolfie Out!
