With Yellow Diamond, she was currently experiencing no hiccups or hangups as she and her fleet had successfully secured the area around their planet of choice and had taken the first steps of colonizing it. She stood with her arms folded behind her back, a small smile on her face as she stood atop one of the erected watchtowers and watched as the gem soldiers unloaded and started placing down the machinery to help colonize the planet.

She watched as the soldiers worked with precision and efficiency, their gem powers allowing them to effortlessly move and manipulate the heavy equipment. Yellow Diamond was pleased with their progress, but she knew that there was still much work to be done.

"Make sure that the resource allocation is being done properly," she said to one of her subordinates. "We cannot afford to waste any resources here."

"Yes, my Diamond," the subordinate replied with a bow before turning to relay the orders to the rest of the team.

Yellow Diamond continued to watch as the soldiers worked, her mind already thinking ahead to the next steps of the colonization process. She knew that there were still dangers lurking on this planet and that they needed to be prepared for anything.

"Send out scouting parties to survey the area," she said to another subordinate who had approached her. "We need to know what we're dealing with."

The subordinate nodded and quickly left to carry out the orders. Yellow Diamond turned back to watching the soldiers work, confident that her plan for this new colony would be a success.

"Hey Yellow," the voice of Citrus caused her to turn slightly, glancing over her shoulder at the Citrine as strode up to her.

"Citrus? Back so soon from your investigation of the forest?" Yellow said with some surprise in her tone.

"Yeah, we didn't find anything out of the ordinary," Citrus replied, "Just regular old organic life. Though we did find a really large organic," she said as she shrugged her shoulders. "It didn't show any aggression so we left it alone as it slinked off into one of the cave formations, you should've seen it, it was cool."

Yellow Diamond raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Interesting. Keep an eye on it, and report back if anything else stands out," she instructed, her mind already working on future plans and endeavors.

Citrus nodded and walked away, and Yellow turned her attention back to overseeing the colonization efforts. As she watched, she couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at the progress they were making. This planet would soon become a valuable asset to Homeworld's expanding empire.

She beamed at the thought of Black Diamond being proud of her, already imagining his smile and soft voice praising her for her efforts. But then she shook her head, she had things to do and orders to giver, she turned and made her way down the watch tower and looked around, "where is pearl?" she muttered to herself as she walked. Her large strides caused some of the gems to step aside as she walked through them.

On the outskirts of the Homeworld territory, a much smaller, yet more heavily armed fleet of Gem ships crossed the expanses of space. At the center of the fleet stood another Peridot shipmaster, she stood taller than the average Peridot and much different from the regular shipmaster uniform, hers was a stark black and grey color.

As the fleet cruised through the void, the Peridot shipmaster monitored the readings on her console, scanning for any signs of potential threats or targets. She had been given specific orders by Black Diamond himself to patrol the borders of their territory and to be on the lookout for any intruders or hostile forces.

"Shipmaster, we seem to be experiencing some form of drag," one of the technicians said as she walked up with a holopad in her hands. Peridot blinked and turned to look down at her, "Drag? In space?" she said as she took the holopad from her hands and floated it up in front of her with the rest of the holopads.

"Yes, shipmaster. It appears to be a gravitational field of some sort," the technician replied as she adjusted the readings on the holopad.

Peridot turned and peered out the bridge windows, out at the empty space around them.

She then frowned, "That's odd. We're not near any planets or large celestial bodies. Keep monitoring it and let me know if anything changes," she ordered before turning back to the front of the ship.

As they continued to travel through space, the drag became more pronounced, causing the ships to slow down and putting a strain on their engines. Peridot knew that something wasn't right and ordered her crew to start scanning the area more closely.

"wait a second," one of the technician's voice rang out, confusion on her face. "I'm picking up organic life signatures.."

Peridot turned and glanced at her, "where?"

"All over our ship's exterior.." the technician trailed off.

Peridot's eyes widened in surprise. "Organic life signatures? That's impossible. We're in the middle of space. How can there be organic life out here?" She quickly ordered her crew to deploy drones to investigate the situation.

As the drones floated out of the ship and scanned the area around them, they flew over the top of the fleet and took in the sight of dark, almost unnoticeable figures hanging onto the sides of the ships in their fleet. One drone flew in closer to inspect but the feed was cut as an explosion rocked the ship, causing everyone in the bridge to stumble as Peridot's ears were filled with alarms blaring.

"Legion troops in the hangar bay!" a voice of a Jasper soldier rang out through the ship's interior comms, "they're everywhere!" her voice shouted as gunfire echoed through the comms.

"-" but before she was even able to give an order, the cacophony of voices through the fleet comms crackled to life, the different voices of officers and pilots echoing through the bridge.

"Multiple Legion ships appearing from out of nowhere!"

"They're breaching through the hull, they're boarding the ships!"

Peridot's eyes widened in shock as she quickly assessed the situation. "Deploy all available forces to the hangar bays and repel the invaders! Send a distress signal to Homeworld and request immediate assistance!" she barked out orders to her crew.

As her troops scrambled to defend against the invading Legion forces, Peridot quickly assessed the situation and tried formulating a plan in order for victory.

"Charge the mac cannons!" she ordered as Gem and Legion ships alike zipped and weaved throughout the battling fleets, many different miniature and massive explosions filling the void of space as they fought the impossibly massive congregated forces of Legion Ships.

Peridot watched as the mac cannons fired, taking out several Legion ships at once. But it was clear that they were vastly outnumbered and outgunned. The Legion forces were well-coordinated and seemed to be using tactics that the Gems had never seen before.

Peridot knew that they needed to regroup and come up with a new plan, but the situation was becoming increasingly dire. She watched as one of the Gem ships was hit by a massive explosion and started to drift away, completely disabled.

"Our soldiers are being pushed back, the legion soldiers have completely overrun the hangar bays and are now fighting their way through the ship's corridors!" a technician said as she threw out a holopad up to Peridot's console, a video feed of what was happening in their ship.

Hulking dark-colored Legion soldiers were hacking and shooting their way through gem soldiers as they tried to advance even further, though the gems were putting up a good fight, the overwhelming forces were just pushing them back.

A jasper that was cornered from the rest of the gem soldiers was doing a good job of defending herself, her armored form taking incoming gunfire and blunt force trauma as she threw another Legion soldier over her shoulder and stole their weapon.

But she grits her teeth and swiped the feed away and turned her focus back to the battle that was quickly turning into a bloodbath as the gem fleet lost ship after ship of their already small fleet. Her hands were a blur as she manually controlled the Mac cannon and started opening the comm lines to the other ships, "All remaining ships form a tight circle with me!" she said as the Mac cannon shook the ship as it shot out across the battlefield.

Six Legion cruisers were caught in the beam and immediately exploded as they were bisected, Peridot gave a small grin but it was short-lived as the ship's places were filled by eight more ships.

The remaining ships of the gem fleet had followed through with Peridot's orders, the four of them formed themselves into a circle formation with peridots ship and the final remaining shield ship, with flames and pieces of it falling from it, using the last of its power and diverted everything into projecting a shield around all of their ships. It flickered as the salvo of Legion ships closed in and started raining a focused beam of missiles and turret fire, but it held strong as the gems inside of the cruisers waited and were given a chance to focus on the soldiers that had boarded them in the beginning.

Peridot turned away from her console, "what is the word on our message sent to Homeworld?" she said as she glanced at one of the technicians.

"Our signals are being blocked by a spike of energy," the technician said with a shake of her head, her hair looked frazzled as the ship rocked from another internal explosion. "But I'll keep trying to get through to them."

Peridot nodded and turned to another technician, "and word from our troops fighting the boarding Legion soldiers?" she said as she brought up the video feed again with a wave of her hand, flicking through the different camera feeds and narrowing her eyes as she saw the bodies of gem soldiers and Legions soldiers alike, the halls flashing with red lights as fires started from sparks.

"The fighting has stopped, shipmaster," the other technician said as she worked with talking to the other ships, "we have less than half of our remaining gem soldiers in fighting order but they have successfully taken down the boarding party," the technician said with some relief in her voice.

"That's good, now tell them to focus their attention on recovering the gems of the soldiers that were poofed and the ones that weren't poofed," Peridot said as she turned to look as one of the soldiers in the video got up from where she was embedded in a wall, her armored sporting a large slice through the middle. "We need all the hands we can get to fix the ship's internals," she said as she took off her cap and ran a hand through her hair.

"Yes, Shipmaster," the voices of the technicians said in unison as she turned back to her console, placing both hands down and leaning forwards, her mind ran through many different possibilities as she stared out at the flickering shield keeping them from destruction.

Hours seemed to pass before one of the technicians jumped in her seat, standing up as she shouted across the bridge, "A single friendly ship coming through the warp!" causing Peridot to turn immediately.

She didn't hear her right, "A single ship? Why would they send a single ship?"

But she couldn't continue as a wave caused by the opening of the warp space caused every ship to shake as the absolutely massive sight of the "Infinity" dwarfed the gem fleet and even the biggest ships in the Legions fleet.

"The Infinity, they sent the Infinity!" a technician said as she stood up, her eyes wide as she stared at the ship as it appeared on the edge of the battlefield through warp space, easily dwarfing any of the other ships present. The ship was unlike anything of the gem ships Peridot had ever seen before, its sleek, silver hull gleaming in the light of the nearby stars. She'd heard of the Infinity but had never seen it because of how Black Diamond kept it secretive, but seeing it in person was another feeling entirely.

As the ship approached, it fired a barrage of powerful energy beams at the invading Legion forces, taking out dozens of ships at once. Peridot and her remaining fleet watched in awe as the ship continued to blast through the Legion's ranks, its weapons tearing through their defenses with ease.

All of the Legion's attention shifted towards the Infnity as they focused their fire on it, but the sheer size and strength of its shield rendered it almost impossible to break through as it decimated the overwhelming Chaos fleet.

The hologram of a Jasper appeared in the center of her console, her officer outfit fitting tightly against her tall frame as she fixed her gaze on Peridot, "sorry for the wait, we didn't receive your messages until one of the technicians sent a personal message to Black Diamonds line," the Jasper said with a slight tone of amusement.

This caused Peridot to turn and look at the technician in question, she gave a sheepish grin before Peridot shook her head and turned back to the Jasper, "We appreciate your assistance, I had absolutely no idea what would've happened if we were here for any longer," Peridot said as the rest of the Legion ships jumped away, leaving the disabled and destroyed ones floating idly.

"Thank Black Diamond for that," Jasper said as she gave a small smile. "He'd appeared on the bridge of the Infinity personally in order to make your message heard."

Peridot let a look of surprise cross her face, the expression causing the Jasper to chuckle this time as she shifted off the frame, "furthermore, the remainder of your fleet is to be sent back to the shipyard, and your personal is to take a break from combat for a few cycles on Homeworld."

"V-very well, I understand, I will let everyone know," Peridot said as she moved to end the transmission, "Peridot out."

I let out a small sigh as I sat back in my seat, that was a very close call, too close for comfort. They'd almost lost that fight, even if they were putting up a good fight in the beginning, they still eventually were pushed back and almost lost every one of their ships. That needed to be changed, I needed to rethink the designs of the ships and see what I could do in order to make them more effective. But I wasn't just going to keep supplying them with a snap of my fingers, I'd let the actual engineers and technicians that I'd created do that, I would just give them advice on what I would want.

I already made the decision that I wouldn't use my powers to keep creating things from this point on, unless it was of the utmost importance, I was at the point where I no longer needed to keep snapping things into existence and I could Instead actually let the gems and Diamonds do things and figure out things themselves.

Though I had to hand it to Abbaddon, that was a good attack, much better than his other ones. It seemed that he'd probably underestimated my forces and was surprised when we beat his butt every single time. So I guess now he was taking things seriously, if that pyrrhic victory was anything to go off of, I knew for a fact that I was going to look forward to many many future battles.

Maybe even ones that I could fight in myself, that'd be fun. Though, it would be hard to rationalize a reason why I would even go to fight myself.

Ah, maybe I would actually join the battle if Abbaddon actually showed himself in one of them because so far I hadn't seen any trace of him in any.

Hm. Can't wait.
