Reeling back in their seats sat four Guardians staring at the TV monitor over the bar. The Titan wearing very slick silver armor and well kept hair took a giant gulp from his mug. Next to him the warlock with ivory colored spiked hair face palmed as she leaned back looking at the ceiling, her black and red robes draping over the booth seat. Across from them was a Long darked haired hunter with evergreen colored eyes, her face smug as she daitaly took a sip from her glass.
"So you're telling me that the guardians that took the Black garden didn't want to take on the Vault of Glass. There is no way on Neptune that they would choose us to take that on." Lauraina said, removing her hand from her face, wrapping it around her mug.
"You know exactly why they picked us to run the first raid in years. They need cannon fodder. I'm sure they aren't expecting us to survive." Adaline said, placing her glass on the table.
"Although they don't know that most of us carry Exotic weapons that can greatly help us there. So it could be a way to just test our metal. Could be our way to become one of the best clans in the Tower." Allen said after he finished his large gulp from his mug.
"Plus there are only three of us. Shouldn't we get three more if we even want to stand a chance." Lauriana said, turning to Adaline.
"Don't worry your pretty little head. I have a couple of friends that could join us. Although we still would be down one." Adaline said, crossing her legs, a smirk forming on her face.
Summoning her Ghost she contacted Xavier while Luarina did the same contacting Lorleave. After not getting a hold of Lorleave Laurina sighed, laying her head on the table. Smiling are her ghost Evaporated. Adaline took another sip from her glass.
"Well we got Xavier to join us. I guess you couldn't get a hold of Lorleave huh. She is probably just busy." said Adaline.
"We are still down one person even if she responds and Unless you have someone that can help us we are Hundred percent screwed." Laurina said, looking up from the table at Adaline.
Allen ordered another drink while the two argued. He racked his mind trying to see if he knows anyone that could help them with this venture. Bringing to the front of his mind an old friend that he used to run crucible with. Wondering if he still has that exotic sniper. Summoning his ghost and reaching out to see if his friend would answer.
Fortunately he got an answer and Allen sat up in his seat in the booth. His friend agreed to join them if they agreed to help him find a guardian that he is currently hunting down. After hanging up with him Allen informed the other two guardians at the table.
Getting up from the booth they all headed for the Hanger to go to Mars. His friend was waiting for them at the edge of Mars orbit. A vault boy painted on the side of the bulkhead of his ship matched the one that Allen told them and they flew down to the surface of Mars. After landing they all materialized with their helmets on as they landed on the sandstone above a large plateau that had a cabal base on the other side of the canyon.
"So wait, you're telling me we are gonna meet with the cabal on a dreadnought?" Adaline asked jumping to the next rock as they began climbing the canyon using a path.
"Pretty much. Zhevala ordered us to take on their champion for support on taking on the vault of glass. Wouldn't want the whole slipspace expanse of Vex popping up on us while we are taking on their head honcho." Laurina said gliding from rock to rock keeping pace with Allen and his friend Tristan.
Reaching the top of the canyon they stood over a decent sized base that had cabal moving about. Carrying fuel cells and other assortments of supplies to a dreadnought that was docked.
"Shouldn't take long to clear this place out. Allen you're with me this time sweetie pie. I can't let Laurina have you all to herself." Adaline said, taking her handcannon out of its holster before motioning for him to follow as she leaped in.
"It's not like I hog him or anything." Laurina pouted, putting her hands on her hips before looking at Tristan. He just shrugged before jumping in himself. Laurina sighed before unlocking Red Death from her back and leaping in after her.
The two befuddled Titans looked at each other for a second before jumping in after the deranged woman. Adaline and Laurina were taking out the scions that were moving about as they turned on the alarm. Drawing rest of the complace to their location. A group of Phalanx, defensive soldiers with large energy shields to match their bulky red armor, showed up with a group of Incindiors, red armored units with flamethrowers. Along with Psions, slender units with red armor and a single eye hole in their helmet, running out in front. Firing into one of the Phalanx's shields, Adaline flanked them. Taking out a good number of them as she pushed further into the base. Laurina followed close behind, cleaning up any stragglers. While the guys looked in amazement as they continued to follow, barely able to catch up. Adaline pushed through the base merking off any cabal that got in her way, sliding and rolling out of the way of bullets. Laurina kept good pace as she popped any leftovers that Adaline happened to miss gliding up to the lookout point to open that Captain's quarters. All three of them arriving at a large arena where a single cabal stood, with scratched up thick armor that was purple and red, holding a gatling gun. Firing as they walked into the arena, each of the guardian's split up and grabbed cover.
"You'll never stop me guardians, The mighty Dominus Ghoul won't go down without a fight." Yelled the Cabal champion as she chuckled maniacally.
Laying into him with Hard light, Allen drew most of her fire while the other peppered her. Throwing grenades and unloading every bullet they had into Dominus thick armor seemed hopeless until Adaline summoned her golden gun and fired four shots into Dominus' forehead. Decentergrating her into a pile of ash.
"Lets go! Cabal ain't got shit on Guardians. Let's report back and get ready for the Raid on the Vault." Cheered Tristan as he secured his weapon to his back and they left the Cabal base leaving no survivors.
