Hey guys, I hope you enjoy where we are going to go on this story. I have so many twists and turns planned for us, and I really can't wait to see what you think. I know that I left the last chapter on a cliff hanger, but you know me well enough by now to know that things always happen for a reason. Let's jump straight back into it, much love RSD xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.
The only sounds I could hear echoing through the quiet corridors of Auradon Castle was footsteps and Isabelle's rapid breathing and moaning and groaning in my arms. In the distance I could hear Ben talking to his parents as I continued to make my way through the Castle and into the main foyer. When I carried Isabelle through the main door of Auradon Castle I see that my head of security, Jeffrey, was stood waiting next to the royal limousine. This told me that he must have been the first one to answer the call from Ben after he rang his parents, I saw him start to smile at me but when his eyes landed on my panicked face his face dropped and he quickly opened the door for me and my perfect Princess.
"Thank you Jeffrey" I panted as I smiled up gratefully at him as I started to work on regulating my breathing back to normal.
"You're very welcome your Majesty" he returned kindly as he held the door open for me. I then carefully climbed into the car and slid over to the other side and I pulled Isabelle closer so she was more comfortable in my lap. I rocked her slightly in my arms, and I watched as her eyes closed as she snuggled into my chest. I pressed a kiss against the top of her head and tightened my arms around him. I hated seeing my children like this, I just felt so helpless. I felt like there was nothing that I could do apart from just get her to Doctor Cameron as quickly as I can.
Moments later I heard quick footsteps start to run towards us and Ben quickly appeared, who was now dressed in lazy clothes. As he slid closer to me and Isabelle I noted that he had me a dark purple hoodie, joggers and some shoes in his right hand.
"Thank you" I muttered over to him as he placed them on the side seat of the royal limousine as Jeffrey closed the door behind Ben.
"You're welcome" he smiled at me. "How is she?" he asked, however before I could answer she whimpered in my arms.
"Oh baby" he cooed as he reached forward and he stroked her forehead with his right hand, and I watched as she meekly smiled up at her father before she groaned in pain once more.
"Ben can you help me with my seatbelt please?" I questioned as Jeffrey jumped into the front of the car.
"Of course" he advised and I sat still as Ben quickly pulled my seat belt over me and Isabelle. I then watched as he then quickly pulled his seat belt on as the car quickly started up. Ben then wrapped his left arm around my shoulders and my heart continued to break when I continued to watch my daughter in my arms.
"Mammy!" she cried.
"I'm here baby" I told her as Jeffrey quickly pulled away and he started to drive towards the gates. Jeffrey must have advised Paul, the gate guard, that we needed to leave quickly as we drove straight through the open gates. I was thankful for this as I didn't know what was wrong with our Princess, and it broke my heart to see her like this. She wrapped her arms around my neck and clung onto me tightly as she groaned loudly against me, me and Ben threw a panicked look at each other. I felt Ben tighten his arms around both me and our Princess, and it was at this point where I was willing Jeffrey to get to the hospital and quick. I knew that I wasn't patient when it came to times like this, Ben teases me and says I am a very protective Dragon. And I knew this was true, with me being part dragon I did have this protective drive that was more than a normal mother. This didn't just feel like a little bit of a stomach ache, this felt very different. And I knew that Ben felt the exact same way given his Beastly nature, and in this moment nothing or no one was going to stop us from doing the best for our little Princess.
Both me and Ben sighed in relief when the royal limousine pulled to a stop outside the entrance of the emergency department of Auradon General Hospital. My relief only intensified when I tore my eyes away from my daughter and when I looked out of the windows I saw Doctor Cameron stood waiting with his team.
"We are here baby" I told Isabelle as I looked back down at her to see her eyes roll shut as she whimpered once more. I pressed a kiss against the top of her head and it was at this point in which I noticed that her fever was getting worse due to her sweat drenched hair. Isabelle groaned loudly in my arms as Ben undone his seat belt and quickly undone mine and opened the car door. Ben then jumped out of the car, which made me slid over to the open door.
"Give her to me" he said as he held his arms out.
"Ok" I nodded and I slowly and very carefully handed Ben his daughter. And I watched as Isabelle snuggled into Ben's chest as he held her in the same lift that I had her in moments before. I watched as Ben stood in the doorway as I quickly pulled my hoodie, joggers and shoes on before he stepped to the side. I then quickly climbed out of the car and me and Ben both walked quickly towards Doctor Cameron and as we did this I saw him pull one brow up in concern at the three of us.
"Thank you for being here" I pressed.
"Any time" he dismissed with his trademark and warm smile. "I was just doing paperwork in my office when you rang your Majesty" he explained.
"Where do you need her?" Ben questioned.
"On the stretcher your Grace" he advised as he gestured to the stretcher that was on his right hand side. I watched as Ben nodded at this before he carefully and slowly lowered our daughter onto the stretcher. She arched her back as she was laid down onto the stretcher as Doctor Cameron quickly pulled one side up as Ben mirrored his actions. She cried out in pain as she rolled onto her left hand side facing Ben before she rolled into a ball.
"Daddy!" she cried out which made my heart break even further to see her like this as she started to rock slightly.
"I'm here" he said as he crouched down so he was looking her in her eyes.
"Mammy!" she shouted out.
"I'm here angel" I told her as I placed my right hand on her right shoulder.
"We better get her in" Doctor Cameron advised. I nodded at this eagerly as I heard cars start to head towards the emergency department which told me that the Press was quickly descending and we needed to get Isabelle out of this whirlwind. It was bad enough that Isabelle was ill and in pain like this without the Press taking photos and putting it all over the front pages of the papers. My daughter wasn't big headline news, me and Ben did our best to keep them out of the public eye best way we can and this wasn't something that was appropriate to be all over the press like this.
I continued to feel even more helpless as I watched as Doctor Cameron and his team pushed Isabelle into the emergency department. Me and Ben looked at each other for a few seconds before he wrapped his left arm around my shoulders and we both followed our daughter into the emergency department - with both me and Ben not knowing what was about to happen next.
