As Shinji tried to sit up straight his muscles protested. He looked around his appartment making sure everything was fine.
As made sure he was fine Shinji tried to stand but his body felt on fire and his mind was still felt like a thousand needles were piercing it.
Picking up the food he had dropped to the floor Shinji heard a knock at the door. Slowly making his way to it, he opened it to find Connor on the other side.
Connor immediately spoke. "You were late so I came here to make sure you were okay." Noticing his haggard look he continued. "Are you alright?"
Shinji shook his head, unable to find the words to express how he was feeling. "I don't know I came Home tomorrow and suddenly started hearing a voice which caused so much pain that I passed out."
Stepping inside Connor had expression that he was trying to remember something. "Oh yeah I have heard of it. Those from the mystery pyrer sequence and above sometimes hear voices from a spirit known as the hidden sage. It is one of the evil gods."
Shinji's eyes widened in surprise. "The Hidden Sage? I haven't read about it. But why hasn't someone told me about it.?"
Connor replied. "Well from what I know we really don't have a mystery pyrer in this branch of the machinery Hivemind. Most that are part of the church are in intis and most belong to a cult that worships the hidden sage. The mosses Ascetic order.
"Failing to completely comprehend the knowledge will either turn you into a raving lunatic or an outright monster. That is all I know from what I read in the archives."
Shinji felt a cold shiver run down his spine at the mention of the Mosses Ascetic Order. He heard about this organisation from the Decon Ikanser Bernard.
"Is there anything I can do to get rid of this voice?" Shinji asked, desperate for a solution.
Connor thought about it for a moment before shaking his head. "Well what I knew about the hidden sage I told you, since I don't have high enough clearance for it I will go and get Mireille and Mr. Bernard."
Shinji nodded feeling hope that the detective would know something.
Connor left to gather the necessary ingredients while Shinji lay down on his bed, trying to control the pain that was still coursing through his body. As he lay there, he wondered how he had gotten himself into this mess. He had always been obsessed with learning Magecraft yet after learning that he couldn't do it he was left heart broken. when he awoke in this world and drank the beyonder potion he felt hope maybe he could do it but he had almost turned into a raving lunatic.
Laying there shinji decided that if he was still alive he would have absorbed the knowledge imparted by the hidden sage. Searching through all the information he had trying to find something that was new. After searching for a minute he noticed a little information about something called the Acting method.
The moment fully understood the information shinji let out a big grin. From what he found out the Acting method was something that helped a beyonder digest his potion quickly and safely. The main hint to find out how to act was the name of the potion.
So what would be the acting method for Mystery pyrer?
Shinji's mind raced as he tried to figure out the acting method for Mystery Pyyer. It probably has something to do with solving mysteries.
He sat up and rubbed his temples, trying to ease the pain. He knew he had to figure this out before it was too late. The only way to probably protect himself would be to advance through the sequence and get stronger.
As he sat there, lost in thought, he heard a knock at the door. He got up slowly and opened it to find Mireille and Decon Ikanser Bernard standing there.
"Come in," he said, stepping aside to let them in.
As they stepped in Mireille asked. "How are you feeling?" Concern being heard from her voice.
"Much better than before Miss. Mireille." Shinji replied.
Ikanser Bernard sighed as he said. "Well I am sorry to inform you that there is no way to actually stop this but if you earn enough contributions with the church you could have them make a sacred artifact to help you subdue the effects."
Shinji nodded at the suggestion, feeling a sense of relief that there was at least a possible solution to his problem. "How do I earn contributions with the church?" he asked.
Ikanser Bernard explained that the church accepted contributions in various forms, such as performing tasks or quests for them, offering valuable information or artifacts.
Shinji nodded, taking note of their warning. He was willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of the voice and the pain it brought him. Because he wanted to get revenge on the old worm whatever it took.
Shinji thanked him for his help, feeling grateful to have someone with their expertise on his side. He still had a lot to learn about this world and its various factions and organizations.
After Mireille and Ikanser Bernard left, Shinji's mind raced with thoughts and questions. He still felt the pain in his head and his body felt heavy as if a great burden was placed upon him.
As Shinji drifted off to sleep, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. He felt like he was being watched, like there was something lurking in the shadows. Suddenly, he was pulled into a dark dream.
He found himself in a dark room with no windows, no doors, and no source of light. He couldn't see anything except for a pair of glowing red eyes in the distance, watching him intently. The eyes seemed to be drawing closer and closer, until they were right in front of him.
Shinji tried to scream, but his voice wouldn't come out. He tried to move, but his body wouldn't respond. The eyes seemed to be staring right through him, as if they could see every thought in his mind.
Then, a voice echoed in his head. "You are just a puppet in the grand scheme of things," the voice said, cold and sinister. "You have no control over your own fate. Your actions are meaningless, your life is meaningless."
Shinji felt a wave of terror wash over him. He wanted to wake up, to escape this nightmare, but he was trapped in this dark void with the eyes and the voice.
The eyes seemed to be growing in intensity, as if they were trying to take over his mind. Shinji felt his thoughts being invaded, his memories being sifted through. He wanted to fight back, but he didn't know how.
Then, just as suddenly as it had started, the dream ended. Shinji woke up, drenched in sweat, screaming at the top of his lungs. He felt like he had just escaped death, like he had narrowly avoided being consumed by the eyes and the voice.
Breathless, he looked around his room, trying to find any sign of the nightmare that had just occurred. But there was nothing there, just the familiar surroundings of his apartment. He couldn't shake off the feeling that the eyes were still watching him, that the voice was still whispering in his ear.
Shinji sat there for a long time, trembling and sweating. He couldn't believe what he had just experienced, and he didn't know if he would ever be able to sleep again. The thought of those eyes and that voice haunted him, making him feel like he was constantly being watched and judged
