Disclaimers: I did not create Naruto nor did I make Beauty & The Beast- a sad fact, but still a fact. This is purely a SasuNaru fanfic using someone else's characters.
Beauty & The Beast: A D-Rank Mission
Chapter 5

"Ok, our Beast now has his beautiful prisoner. Belle is in the bedroom and Beast runs up the hallway, angry. Lumiere and Mrs. Potts try to remind him to be a gentleman. And action!"
The Beast banged his fist against the makeshift bedroom door, shaking it on its hinges. "I thought I told you to come down to dinner!" Sasuke yelled.
"Will there by ramen?"
Sasuke pinched the bridge of his nose. "Are you serious right now?"
"Hey! Old Man Director! We'll be right back- Sasuke wants to go have dinner!"
"Cut!" The director fluttered over to the blonde and cupped his face with both hands. "Tsk tsk- my beauty, you are so.. well- so.."
"Hungry?"
"Dumb."
"Hey!"
"But it is quite fetching on you. Wouldn't you agree, Sasuke?"
Sasuke growled a very Beast-like growl and slammed open the door. "What are you implying?" he demanded.
"Nothing at all, my dear" he kept his face smooth and unreadable, but his emerald eyes twinkled with mischief, giving him away. Damn impish bastard.
"Soooo.. are we still getting ramen?"
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Naruto. The lines. Beast is asking Belle to dinner- not you."
Naruto huffed dramatically, theatrically.
"Ok! Places people!" The director clapped his hands. "From the top! Oh, and Naruto dear."
The blonde looked up.
"Stick to the script."
Naruto blushed and nodded. He pulled out his own copy and flipped through the pages until he found his part. "Umm, director?"
"Yes, darling."
Naruto tilted his head and looked up. "This script seems different. Is the Beast really supposed to break in and attack Belle?"
"What?" Sasuke flipped through to his part and quickly skimmed through the lines. "The Beast rams his shoulder into the door, breaking it open" he read aloud. "Belle runs to the other side of the room, but he traps her, leans in..." he continues down the lines. "I throw him over my shoulder and force him to go to dinner?" Sasuke looked up. "What is this? This isn't how the story goes."
"Oh, I made some creative changes." Green eyes gleamed behind reflective half-moons. "I feel that we need to see more of our Beast's aggressive side with Belle before we get to the tender one. Really pull the audience in."
"Aren't you just describing Stockholm Syndrome?" Sakura chimed in.
The director's gaze shot over to the bored enchantress, watching her check her nails, failing miserably at hiding her jealousy. "Well of course, dear. That's what this fairytale is."
Sakura blanched, but Naruto just looked confused again. "Stalker Syndrome?" He opened the door a crack and peaked through to look at Sasuke on the other side. "You better not try any pervy-shit, Beast."
Sasuke stepped up and grabbed the door, holding it open. "Don't test me Naruto."
"Pfff- you're not as strong as you think you are Beast. We're just acting like you are."
Sasuke threw open the door and lunged at him, knocking Naruto to the ground. They scrabbled for control, but Naruto's foot kept getting caught in his robe, giving Sasuke the upper hand. He rolled on top of him and pushed his wrists down by his head. "Not as strong as I think, huh?"
"Whatever. You caught me off guard- and this goddamn robe keeps-"
"Sure."
"I can still stop you, you know!! I'm not fucking helpless!"
"Is that right?" Sasuke smirked. "Then stop me, Naruto."
He leaned closer, dropping his head down. He watched beautiful blue eyes widen. "Go ahead" he whispered, his breath mixing with Naruto's, their lips now inches apart, "stop me."
"Sasuke.. wait.." he breathed out.
The Uchiha paused, his mouth a hair's breadth away. What am I doing..? He blinked reality back into focus, then changed tactics, trying to hide his loss of control. He moved his head and brought his mouth close to Naruto's ear instead. "That is why I'm the Beast, and why you're Belle."
He lifted off of him and got to his feet. Ignoring the stares, he walked across the stage, grabbed a water, mumbled something about taking a break, and left.
Naruto laid on the floor trying to catch his breath. What the hell was that? His mind just kept replaying Sasuke leaning in, his lips moving closer.
Was Sasuke really about to kiss me..?

Once again, Kakashi went on the hunt for a hormonal Uchiha. This time when he found him he wasn't throwing weapons at innocent trees, but he wasn't being all that nice to them either. He sat on a hilltop, simply glaring at them.
"Was it something the tree said?" Kakashi asked as he dropped down next to him.
"Leave me alone.." Sasuke muttered.
"You know, you could just tell him."
Sasuke's eyes darted over to his sensei. "What are you talking about?!"
Kakashi turned his head to meet the boy's fiery gaze. "You know what I'm talking about."
The Uchiha glared a little longer before turning his face away.
Kakashi sighed and lifted his head to look up at the cloudless sky. "He does look good in blue, doesn't he?"
"He really does.." Sasuke ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. "How did you know?"
"You're an excellent ninja, Sasuke. But you terrible at keeping your feelings for Naruto undetectable."
Sasuke sighed. "Does everyone know..?"
"Not everyone is as observant as I am. Though, it was hard not to notice that little display of yours earlier."
"Do you think.. Naruto knows?"
Kakashi looked at him closely before turning his head up, hand on his chin, another fake pondering moment. "Maybe the better question would be- is Naruto as obvious as you are?"
Sasuke's head whipped back over to him. "You're lying."
"Am I? I guess there's only one way to find out." Kakashi's one visible eye crinkled up as he smiled beneath the mask, and then he disappeared- leaving Sasuke with a lot of wonderings and a small, terrifying glimmer of hope.
