"Reeeeey! Help meee!" I hear the sounds of a woman near me and see my friend fought against one of the most scariest monster of all time.
Childrens.
She is getting dogpilled by this bunch of ruthless monster and they keep on asking her to play with them.
Well i mean she did play with them in the end so i guess that works.
"Let go of betty infact!" Unfortunately she isn't the only one that are forced to play with the childrens. Beatrice is also forced to play with them.
"I see. So this is why you want to go to the village. To slack off and play with the childrens" rem said to subaru after finishing her shopping.
"Gah! Rem-chi! Don't be so mean!" She said while holding her heart with a painfull expression
"Rem-chi is mean!"
"Rem-chi scary!"
"Rem-ch-"
"If i hear anymore rem-chi then i will feed you all to the mabeast"
"We are sorry!" The kids and subaru immediately bow their head and apologize.
Subaru doesn't even know what a mabeast is
I couldn't help but laugh a little at them. This is just so funny okay? It feels like watching an anime in real time.
I mean it is.
"Haaaah, alright i think that's a good enough laugh for the day. Have you finished your shoping rem?" I ask the girl and she look at me and said.
"Yes rey-sama. I had finished buying the supplies and now we only need to bring them back. But i am still opposed to the idea of letting you bringing them back"
"Eh, Don't worry about it. I am an oni, you should know something like these wouldn't even faze me" i said while shrugging her concern.
"It's not that you can't rey-sama. Rather it's that you shouldn't" why is she really oppose to the idea of letting me carry the supplies anyway? As i said it's fine
"And i already said before that i need to do stuff or else i got bored easily"
"Alright then if you say so, rey-sama" as i was about to grab the supplies someone tug my shirt from bellow
I look below and see a little girl with a braided purple hair.
'meili' i instantly recognise the girl
She is looking really inocent right now. Her acting skill is really good.
"Um..., over there" she said while pointing at some direction.
She is trying to lure us to the mabeast and cast the curse to us.
'But joke on her i brought the curse breaker-inator!'
"You want us to go there?" I try to act confused to her and she nodded her head
"Ah! The puppy!" The kids said after noticing which direction meili is pointing at
"There is the puppy there!
"Puppy?" I ask the kids and they nodded their head
"Yes yes puppy! It suddenly come to the village along with meili and it's really cute!" Petra said while jumping excitedly
I can't help but pet the girl's head. I hope there is no fbi in this world
"Alright then let's go meet the puppy. You wouldn't mind if we comes back a little late right, rem?" I ask the girl and she said with a monotous tone
"If it's only for a few minutes, then i think it's fine. But we must hurry up because i need to prepare dinner"
"Alright then let's meet this puppy!" I said and riled up the kids
"Ooooh!"

"That mutt is really suspicious i suppose" instantly after we see the dog betty finds something odd on it
The puppy is playing with the kids and subaru right now while beatrice and i are looking at it from a distance.
Not too far but not too close either
"What do you mean betty?" I said while keep on looking at the dog. Who knows what it will do if i didn't watch it
"The ammount of mana in that puppy is not normal. It must be a mabeast."
"Well, if it is a mabeast then it will curse people with it's bite right? Can you dispel it?"
"Of course i suppose! What kind of question even is that?! Betty is the best yin magic user in the world infact!" She pouted at me because i doubt her and i just chuckled at her expression
"Alright then if that's the case let me test it" i said while walking towards the dog
"Wait! what do you mean test it i suppose!" and she run trying to chase me
"Nii-chan! Here! here is the dog! Cute right?" petra is showing me the dog the moment she notice me.
"I see. That is a very cute puppy" i said and try to pet the dog at the bald spot on his head.
But the moment i did that the dog suddenly dodged my hand and bite my it
"Wha! Nii-chan are you alright?!" Petra immedietly scream in worry after seeing me getting bite.
"Nii-chan you make the dog angry!"
"Nii-chan is bad!"
"Hey i am the one getting bited here, why am i the bad one?" i said to the kid and look at my hand
"Stupid contractor! Why are you being so reckless!" Betty finally catch up to me and see my hand immedietly
She see the curse and dispel it right after she heals my hand
"Vita" she strecth her hand at the dog and it slams down to the ground
"Wha- puppy!"
"Puppy is dead!?"
"Betty-chan is bad!"
"Shut up i suppose!" Betty screams at the childrens and walk up to the dog. She squad down and take a closer look at the dog
I follow her and i ask
"So it's really is a mabeast huh?"
"Mabeast?!" The children look at the puppy and back down in fear
"Yes. This is a nasty one i suppose. He disguised himself as a small puppy to lure the children and then eat them. Should i kill him now i suppose?" She ask me for my confirmation.
'well i guess since i am her contractor she need my approval to do this kind of things?'
"Yeah it's fine. You can kill it now. But this raise the question on to how can this mabeast get inside the village? I don't think roswaal would be stupid enough to not put a barrier around his village" as i said that the mutt become restless and it's body start to glow
"Wh-what is that?!" Subaru scream in horror after seeing the giant dog
And the dog become bigger and bigger until it reach the size of a bus
'i know this is a fantasy world but seeing a giant animal dog like this still feels rather weird' while i think that the dog raised it's paw and then slam it at my direction
"Rey!" Subaru scream but i picked beatrice up and then dodge.
I am still not that used to my own power so i ended up launched myself too far.
And because of that the giant dog have enough time to attack other people.
It raised it paws again and tried to attack the kids
The kids just stood there in fear. Their body refuse to move out of terror
'shit. I am too far' why the hell did i launch myself this far?!
"Betty! Send a minya crystall at it!"
"I can't! It might hit the childrens!"
'Shit!' I tried to launch myself again and pray that this time i am using the right ammount of power
But before i manage to reach the kid. Something hit the dog
Splash* the giant dog's paw got cut off by something. Blood are spewing everywhere
"Nice one rem!" She stood there with an iron mace on her hands. I still have no idea where she put that thing
"Thank you, rey-sama" and she begun to attack the wolgram again.
This time the giant dog become defensive. Losing a paw had threw off his balance so he need to be more carefull.
AOOOOOO (I have no idea how dog's howl sounds like.)
The giant dog howled and not long after that a lot of wolgram comes out of the forest. Seriously how many dogs are in this forest?! There is like a hundred of them!
The dogs then begin to pounch at us
"Roswaal really need to put a better barrier stone if all of this wolgram can get inside of the village this easily" i said while sending ice crystalls to the dogs
Rem is flying her mace everywhere, attacking as many dogs as she can
Beatrice is busy protecting the childrens and subaru
And there is still that giant dog over there waiting for us to give it a chance
"Shit!" One of the dog manage to take a bite out me.
"Rey!" Subaru scream at me when she saw my shoulder. The childrens are screaming and crying not knowing what to do
Beatrice is shocked. Looking at my arms has brought her trauma a bit. I don't know what's happening but i thinknit's bad
"This is not good" we lack powers. We can't do this alone there is too many of them. And we also need to protect the children. This is impossible, we need help.
"Betty, bring the childrens and subaru out of here and get some help from the mansion. You're the one that can teleport people around. I'll use my horn to give you mana if i have to" she is our only hope on getting some help. She is the only one that can turn the tides on this battle
"NO!" But she rejected it the moment i finish speaking
"NO! BETTY IS NOT LEAVING YOU INFACT!" Her body tremble. The looks of utter teror are shown on her face.
"NOT AGAIN!" The trauma of her past life comes to her. How her mother died protecting her. How her friend, sacrificed herself to save her. How they left her behind... Alone
And now her contractor... "That" person. The person she have been waiting for 400 years to free her from her loneliness
wants to do the same thing as well?
Why is she the one that got to live?
Why is she the one that got protected?
Why is she the one that got left behind?
No. It's not happening again, she will not let it.
SHE WILL NOT BE LEFT ALONE ANYMORE!

'I might have underestimate how strong is beatrice' in the show her only super amazing power are shown on the great rabbit scene but after that she become kind of usefull but not that overpowerd.
That's because the show beatrice have her mana depleted by the al-shamak spell. And subaru with his defected gate can barely sustain her with a good ammount of mana
But this beatrice is different. This beatrice have her 400 years worth of mana still in her. And with my horns. She basically have infinite mana... As long as i can absorb it
She can afford being a little wastefull on her magic right now. And i know that too.
'But i didn't think that she can do this!' the sky is black. It's covered by hundreds, Or even thousands of black crystall on a hundred meters radius.

And she launch it.
It looks like a rain, i looks like a deadly purple crystall rain that will kill anything it touches. Me, subaru, rem and the childrens are safe because she still have enough reasons to protect us first
But that doesn't matter now. Everything is great! The small anoyance dog are all dead and what's left are the giant dog that are covered in bruises.
'this is great' i smile at our situation now. Our situation has change from very bad to very good real f*cking quick
"How about now you stupid mutt? Your friends are all dead, you're the only one that are still alive. What are you gonna do now" i tried to taunt the dog because i am sure he is intelegent enough to understand me
"Grrrrr" he growled at me trying to look intimidating. I will be scared if my situation is a bit worse than now and i didn't have a giant gap on my shoulder.
I mean it hurts so bad i can barely think
"Well how about i help you out now" i hear a beatifull sounds behind me but all i feel is fear.
Clank the sounds of crystall colliding with metal are heard.
"Looks like your little friend have a better reflex than you." Said the girl with a very revealing clothes.
Black hair. Her unique dagger.
It's elsa.
"F*ck" i can't help but let out my frustation. This is stupid. Everytime good thing is coming bad thing will also come.
Why the hell can't i take a break? I have been in this world for 4 days. And i have almost died twice!
We seriously need something to help us out
Rem can hold either the dog or elsa but she can't hold both.
Beatrice is protecting the kids.
I am injured and can barely move.

'Oh. We are really fucked now didn't we.' i can think of nothing. Our situation are really bad nothing can help us in this stiuation.
The only thing i can think of that can help us here. Is that technique.
"Rem, hold elsa for me. Betty, protect me while i make this spell" they don't know what i am planning but they trust me enough to do what i said without complaining.
I close my eyes. Trying my best to locate the gate of the giant beast

A giant pillar of ice are made in the center of it.
It is bigger than the one at the mansion. And also much more taxing.
Mainly because i am losing too much blood from my injuries and also because of the horn experiment we did this afternoon
Really i am standing right now with nothing but sheer will.
I should've been dead by n-

Alright guys quick note.
I think i might drop this fanfic and all of my other one.
Not because i don't have time or because i am busy no.
But it's because i don't think it's good enough.
Most of you might already know that i make these fanfic for myself. For my own amusement. because i want to read a story like this so i make story like this.
But it's not good.
Like something is different. I have read a lot of stories, a lot of manga, a lot of movies. Most of the best of those have something in common.
They can project what the character is feeling to the audience.
I- i can't do that.
Whenever i see my own fanfic. I feel nothing. Like it's just someone doing something without any feelings whatsoever
I don't even know what my characters are feeling. How am i suppose to project it?
So i am going to take a course online on how to be a good writers. I don't know if i will improve or not but let's see how it goes
So it might take time before i update any of my fanfic because i will try to improve myself first. Maybe the next update will be one or two weeks from now. Idk we'll see how it goes
But i guess i need your vote for now.
Should i just continue what i am doing right now and improve myself by keep on writing? (Basically trial and error.)
Or get an online course and study it.
