WereDogs Chapter 8: I'm sorry…

In the kitchen both of the girls were served cereal. Bingo noticed that Chilli was only packing one lunch. "Here's your lunch Bluey!" Chilli said. Bluey asked why only she got a lunch and not Bingo. "It's because Bingo isn't going to school today. She's staying here with me. Dad will drop you off again." Chilli replied. "Why is she not going to school?" Bluey asked. She was worried about her mom and her sister. So was Bandit he was in the living room with tears in his eyes recovering from what his wife had said. "I want to spend time with her today." Chilli didn't want to say why she wanted to spend time with Bingo. "That's all…" She looked down at the ground in pain. All she could think about was that dream. She held back many tears. Bluey got finished with her cereal. She ran to the bathroom and brushed her teeth. She grabbed her backpack. "Dad! I'm read-" Bluey stopped and saw Bandit whimpering. "Dad? Are you okay?" She asked, wiping the tears off of her dads face. Bandit stopped whimpering and hugged his daughter who was ready for school. "I'm good, mate. I'm good." He smiled. "Bye, mum! Bye Bingo! Have fun with mum!" Bluey and Bandit waved goodbye. Bingo smiled. Bingo looked at her crying mother. She held Chilli's hand. "It's going to be okay, mum." Chilli hugged her daughter. "By the way, why do you want to spend time with me?" She asked. Chilli thought about what she would do with Bingo. "Learning how to control your Inner Thought." She replied with a brave look on her face. This made Bingo happy. But Bingo wondered, "What's an 'Inner Thought'?"

At Bluey's School

Bluey was playing with her friends. They were playing Uno. Mackenzie walked up to Bluey, and asked her, "Where were you last night?" Bluey put her cards down. "At my house! You did see me there, right?" Mackenzie shook his head. "No! All I saw were dogs so I decided to play with the dogs. They seemed welcoming though. Especially the blue dog, so I kissed that dog." Bluey got up and put her hands on Mackenzie's shoulder. "Those dogs you saw and played with were us. The real reason why I wanted you to come at 5 was because we transform into dogs at night. Or WereDogs depending on if it's a full moon or not. Also, that dog you kissed was me." Bluey let go of Mackenzie's shoulders. Mackenzie stood there in realization, shock, and embarrassment. He blushed at the thought of kissing Bluey while she was in dog form. "Oooooo! That means I'm right about Bluey marrying Mackenzie! She will marry him." Winton added. "Winton please don't insult them while they are having a serious conversation!" Honey said. "Anyways! We are all WereDogs." Chloe said. "I'm surprised you didn't know about that or the fact that you are not a WereDog." Indy added. "We should have told you ahead of time." Coco patted Mackenzie's back. Mackenzie knew everything now. He knew now that he is the only human at Bluey's school. "Well! I'll see you later Bluey. Same thing later right?" He asked Bluey. "Yeah! Cya!" Bluey replied. She picked her cards back up. Mackenzie blushed at the thought of kissing Bluey last night. He wanted to do it again. He gained a new crush on Bluey. "So, Bluey… you thinking about marrying Mackenzie?" Winton asked. Bluey realizes that Mackenzie kissing her wasn't fate at all but rather it was a misunderstanding. It was always meant to be her and Jean Luc. "Winton! I'm not going to marry Mackenzie just because he kissed me! He was oblivious!" She replied.

Transition to Bandit in the parking lot of a grocery store.

Bandit was thinking long and hard about what his wife had said yesterday and then what she said this morning.

"Bandit, what would I do without you?"

"Bandit, Why do you love me?"

Bandit remembers that night when he and his brothers were playing squash. They were children at the time. Bandit won against Stripe again and again. Radley wanted to challenge Bandit to a round. Bandit won. Radley then challenged Stripe thinking he would be easier to beat, but he was wrong. Stripe won. "URRRGGHH HOW AM I LOSING TO MY YOUNGER BROTHERS AT SOMETHING I'M GOOD AT?!" He yelled. "Stop being a wussy, and challenge us again!" Stripe yelled. "Wow! Good job lil' bro!" Bandit replied. The full moon was uncovered from the clouds. Radley stormed outside. As soon as he was outside, he transformed into a WereDog. Radley howled. Stripe and Bandit heard the howling. So did Chris, who sacrificed a drop of her blood to get rid of her lycanthropy. She ran to her children. Bandit and Stripe ran to hug their mother. Radley burst into the room. He was drooling. And his eyes had tears in them. He was completely feral. He growled at Stripe and Bandit. "Boys!" She opened the door leading to the basement. "Go in here!" The boys ran into the basement. They didn't have WereDog containment bunkers back then.

Radley attacked his mother. He followed his brothers. As Bandit and Stripe were running from Radley. He clawed at Bandit's back. Bandit was in deep pain. Stripe backed up against the wall. "Rad… please… don't hurt us! I-it was just a joke! We're sorry!!" Stripe was sobbing. So was Bandit. He felt blood running down his back. He put a bit of it on his finger. He fainted at the sight of his own blood. He remained unconscious until the morning where he woke up in a hospital bed. His mother was crying. "M-mum… why are you crying?" He looks to his left and sees Stripe with a tube in his nose. "Stripe?" Chris went up to Bandit. "Bandit, Stripe's legs were bitten off. He is also in a 1 year coma. You on the other hand, were clawed at your back. You also fainted from the sight of your own blood. I'm just glad you are still alive." Chris looked at her youngest son. "As for Stripe, I'm not sure if he will still be…" Chris started crying again. She left the room. Radley was sitting in a chair. A black shadow covered his eyes as tears went down his face. "Bandit… Stripe…" Bandit looked at his crying brother. "Yes, bro?" He replied. Radley got up from the chair and walked in between Bandit and Stripe's bed and yelled, "I'M SORRY FOR EVERYTHING I DID!! I'M SORRY FOR CLAWING YOU, I'M SORRY FOR BITING YOUR LEGS OFF AND PUTTING YOU IN A COMA, I'M SORRY AND I DON'T DESERVE FOR MY APOLOGY TO BE ACCEPTED AT ALL!!" His voice cracked as he was crying and letting all his anger out on himself. He dropped to the ground and started sobbing very loudly. One year later, Stripe woke up from his coma. "Mum? Bandit? Rad?" He looked down only to see his legs were gone. "What happened to my legs?" Radley explained everything to him. Fast forward to before Bluey existed, Stripe has prosthetic legs and Bandit had a scar on his back.
