Hello everyone, I am back with another chapter! Let's get this ball rolling, shall we?

June walked alongside the gang as they made their way to the Pokemon center. Ash had been curious about her team and started asking random questions that had her blinking. She raised her hands in the air in a motion to slow down. "Calm down, Ash. I promise I'll answer any questions you may have over time. You just have to try to be patient if I don't answer right away." She said with indulgence. She giggled when he pouted at her.

Brock smiled at her show of patience when dealing with Ash's excitable energy. "I noticed you called your Milotic under a different name. Does that mean you nickname your Pokemon?" He asked her curiously. She nodded. "I sure do. Milotic is a female and so I nicknamed her Mystic because of her type. I caught a new friend some time ago. A Budew. The little one doesn't have a name yet." She explained the names.

They nodded in unison when they finally approached the closest Pokemon center. Luckily for them, they could spend the night as the sun was starting to set down. Once they got inside, one of the nurses Joy was waiting at the front desk. She greeted them with a smile. "How can I help you today?" She asked them politely.

June pulled out her team, the other three trainers following alongside her. "We'd like it if you could possibly heal our Pokemon, miss." She asked in a soft voice. Nurse Joy smiled at her and nodded. "Of course, dear." She looked behind them to see the sun was setting. "Are you folks hoping to book some rooms for the night as well?" She asked them.

June nodded and thanked her for her assistance before turning toward the rest of the group. "Is anyone in need of dinner? I don't know about you, but I'm hungry." She said casually. They all brightened up and nodded instantly, causing her to almost wanna smile in amusement.

THE NEXT DAY

Everyone's Pokemon had been fully healed up and rested after yesterday's events as they started to gather outside of the Pokemon center. June waved goodbye to Nurse Joy before facing the rest of the group. "Well, this is it, everyone. This is where we part ways for now." She told them softly.

Ash frowned at her. "Hey, wait. Are you sure you don't want to join us on this journey? It has to be better when you have friends with you." Ash exclaimed. June merely gave him a soft smile. "Thank you for the offer, Ash. I'm afraid I'll have to decline though. Our paths are very different and my team has to be trained a bit more differently than what you're used to. And besides…" She gave him a teasing wink.

"I can't reveal all of my training secrets when it comes to battling." She said with a bright smile at the end. Ash almost pouted but he reluctantly nodded to her words. "And besides, we're all here in Sinnoh. I'm sure we're bound to meet up again." She said as she turned around to the opposite end of the road to where the group was standing.

She raised her hand high in the air and waved to them. "Bye, everyone. See ya next time." She said and sighed to herself when the group got smaller the further she walked. It was nice getting to know some new people, but she definitely enjoyed some peace and quiet on her travels.

She had a feeling that had she decided to travel with Ash and Co. It would have been anything but peaceful. It had been about a day of traveling since June had last met with the others. She finally found a spot by a decent-sized lake that could comfortably fit Mystic. She got started on setting up camp before she finally let out Budew and Mystic. Budew looked at her and almost started cooing happily.

June pulled out a bendable chair so she could face her new partner. "Hello, Budew. Is it alright if I use my Pokedex to scan you? It's only going to give me some information I may not know about just yet." She explained to the little one. Budew looked at her with curiosity but nodded.

She happily pulled out her Pokedex and gently pointed it at Budew. "Budew, the bud Pokemon. A grass and poison type. Budew is known to be sensitive to changing temperatures. The bud is said to bloom when it feels the sun's warm touch. This budew is female and knows the moves synthesis, leaf storm, and extrasensory with the ability leaf guard." She turned the Pokedex off and stared at Budew with surprise.

How is she getting lucky encounters with both of her Pokemon having rare abilities? "Well, it's certainly great to see you budew. I have to say, you're a strong little one." She said with a bright smile. She giggled when Budew puffed its little chest out in pride. "Well, as you know. Milotic is nicknamed Mystic because of her being a beautiful water type. Would you like a name for yourself?" She asked the grass type.

Budew nodded almost immediately. "How does the name, Fern, sound to you?" She asked her. Budew tested out the new name to herself before she nodded to show she liked it. June smiled at her. "Welcome to the team, Fern." She said as Budew went over to be with Mystic. June got up from her chair and faced her team.

"Alright girls, it's time to get started on our training regime. I plan on challenging the gyms and maybe the contests as well. I'm still a bit unsure about that last part but that's why we have to train for the next few days to make sure we're ready for the challenge. Are you with me?" She asked her two partners.

Mystic and Fern both cheered in their own way before facing each other with determination. June smirked with pride at her teammates before she started stretching her own body out for their session.

TIME SKIP

It had been a couple of days since they have started the long training session, but it was time to stop. She felt like she was ready for at least the gym more than she was with the contest's battle styles. For the life of her, she didn't know where to start for the more showy side of her team's moves. Once she had everything packed away, she turned to her teammates. "Return." She said, letting the red beam suck them into their Pokeballs. She stiffened, however, when the bushes rustled and a human foot stepped out. "Who's there? Come out, now!" She demanded and got into a ready stance.

A young boy stepped out, June relaxed her stance just a little bit but made sure her spine was stiff. He looked to be around Ash's height and maybe her age as well. His emotions looked a bit cold and his hair was surprisingly purple. He had an Elekid walking alongside him.

The boy raised an eyebrow when he spotted her. "Oh, look, at least someone out here seems to know what they're doing." He said sarcastically. A tick rose a bit over June's eyes as she glared at him. "Do you need something?" She asked him coldly.

He smirked at her, amused. "Relax, I was just looking for a decent spot to train my Pokemon." He simply said. June looked at him warily for a moment before she fully released the tension from her body and she bent down to grab her backpack from the ground.

"You're in luck, I was just leaving so you can use this area if you'd like." She stated as she started to walk away. "Wait." He said, stopping her with slight surprise. She turned to give him a confused look. "What's your name?" He asked her.

It was her turn to raise an eyebrow back at him. "I believe it's only courtesy to give your name before asking someone else for theirs." She stared at him cooly causing him to smirk at her again. "The names Paul." He said to her. June hummed to herself before she nodded. "Alright, Paul. My name is June, June Potter. Be sure that you remember for I shan't tell it twice." She said with a final warning, determined to get to Jubilife City for her first badge.

June's Team

Mystic, Milotic - female(Starter)

Fern, Budew - female(Secondary)

It took me a bit in between work and such on how I wanted to figure out what to write for this chapter. I was at a decent size of writer's block in terms of writing this. But let me know what you folks think in the review section! Happy reading.

Keep an eye out for an update on "Neigh is Never Ending"! Currently working on the chapter finally and it should be posted either later today or tomorrow. And after that chapter, I'll be resuming "The Fated Pair". I'm trying to keep these stories on a decent schedule so I might be posting these chapters once a week since I'm also working on an online Writing Competition. I'm still trying to figure out how I should change my writing style and not make it look rushed or an AL wrote it when I haven't used an AL in the first place, so in my free time, I'll be working on all of that as well as my two main books. Once I'm sure of myself, I might consider hiring a Booking Agent to try to get my books and such to actually sell once everything has been improved and edited.
