Wandering Sandwinder

Although belonging to the rarest species, these dragons are one of the more common breeds found in the Mojave, the Wandering Sandwinder belongs to the Serpentine species, as the only trait distinguishing them from large sand snakes is the pair of large wings that protrude from the sides of their body.

They are relatively small compared to other dragons in their species, only growing to 25 ft in length from snout to the tip of their tail. Their scales are brownish-tan in color, which is a natural camouflage that helps them blend into the sand of the Mojave. They appear more like an actual serpent than a dragon, as their head is more rounded like a rattlesnake's.

They have a small set of horns which protrude out straight from the back of their head. They possess a set of retractable fangs, which I stated before is a common trait in Serpentines. Their wings are 60 ft in length from tip to tip, and they have a large claw at the end of their wings.

Their diet consists of Coyotes, Brahmin, Geckos, Big Horners, Broc Flower, and Banana Yucca Fruit. They inhabit self-dug burrows in large plain-like areas of deserts, where they store food and lay their eggs. These dragons are known to run from a fight when they encounter bigger dragon breeds. They hunt during the day, flying above sand dunes to find their prey.

When encountering one, it is best to slowly back up, with your hands to your sides to show you aren't a threat. If you're hunting one, your best option is a hunting rifle or other rifles chambered in either .308 or .45 cal.
