Before you read the chapter I have some news to announce.
I would like to rewrite the story here but first I will finish this one and my Lion King fanfic. What will be different? Well less chapters which will be under 50. More fanfics that you can send me, and I will sort out chapters that have less views/reviews and replace them.
Also, Blood, Varian and Eira are added earlier and get more appearances than before. In addition, there will be more debtors that are not present in the series, such as Cagney. Also, old chapters will be revised and corrected.
I apologize therefore already times why it had taken so long. This week I had little time to write because I was still at a convention. The Good Witch on the Inkwell Isle will be continued next week if there are any questions.

Alicia and Lucifer continued to cuddle together in bed. Alicia was more than satisfied and had long forgotten about King Dice. She was happy and content. The soft purring was the only thing she heard next to her ear at the moment. It was not difficult to guess that it was Lucifer. He only purred when he was happy and content. It was very similar to a cat's purr. "I'm glad to have you with me again, my love," he whispered in her ear as he continued to purr and rub his head against hers.
Yes, she was also glad to be finally reunited with him. But one was not at all pleased about it. This someone stood in front of a wall mirror and growled while he clenched his hand into a fist and started to growl. Alicia and Lucifer who were still cuddling with each other in the mirror image disappeared and the devil's angry face could be seen "How can it be that this...this copy of me is in bed with my Alicia?!" he asked angrily.
Yes, the devil was more than angry that Alicia is now with a copy of him. In addition, it did not take long until the fox was ready with the portal with which Alicia, the cup, the wolf and just the two foxes could escape from this world. This did not really please him because he wanted to keep Alicia for himself. With the coronation as queen and with the blood ritual she would be bound to him forever. She could not escape him or even the underworld. But that was not the last reason why he was still angry. In the mirror he saw the meeting table behind him where King Dice, Lilith, Henchman and Amnon were sitting. The latter two were sweating with nervousness. They knew why, too. "Henchman, Amnon..." both demons twitched when the devil mentioned their names. Lilith and King Dice stayed out of it. "Didn't you two tell me a few days ago that my dearest Alicia..." it was the calm before the storm.
Both demons were sweating with nervousness as the devil slowly turned around and was completely on fire "...is alone and misses me like hell?!" Amnon cried out in shock and jumped out of his seat before hiding behind Henchman who stood still in fear as the devil approached the two. He wanted to hear an answer from them. That said his right foot impatiently stomped up and down. Henchman saw that the devil was asking for an answer and thought about what he could say. After all, it would not be good to say something wrong now. "Well uh boss we..." he kept thinking while Amnon slowly appeared behind him. "W-w-we just wanted you to have a g-g-good time" Amnon said in a shaky voice while Henchman agreed with him with a hysterical nod and grin.
The devil was still looking at the two of them angrily. He was no longer on fire, but he was still angry. He was not yet satisfied with the answer. Henchman noticed this and opened his mouth, "We wanted to tell you and-" "And what?!" the devil interrupted him by yelling at him. Henchman closed his eyes while Amnon, who was standing behind Henchman again, was trembling even more than before. "That a copy of me is in bed with my wife and future queen and doesn't miss me at all!" the devil was not very enthusiastic about this and had expected better from the two. Especially from Henchman.
But he didn't want to take his anger out on them any longer. No, he wanted to keep Alicia for himself. His eyes wandered to Lilith and King Dice who were sitting at the other end of the table and stared at him in confusion before the devil approached them. "Lilith, Dice, you two have been in the cottage, haven't you?" he asked them. With King Dice, however, it wasn't quite right with Lilith. She had only ever been outside and observed everything from there. But her eyes still gave her a good view of the inside of the cottage. The devil can't remember where exactly Alicia slept since the last visit.
"Yes..." said King Dice while Lilith just nodded her head and said nothing. The devil grinned. "Well you can-" the door opened from where a small imp with wings arrived bringing the mail and gave it to the devil. It was once the daily newspaper and several envelopes. He put the newspaper on the table while he went through the envelopes. "Donations, bills that don't belong to me, confirmation of passing the exam..." he threw all the letters one by one into the fire. He knew that they did not belong to him and he did not care. He threw away almost every letter until Henchman, looking over his shoulder, saw the last one that the devil was about to throw away. "Wait boss, this is a confirmation!" the devil looked at Henchman in confusion before looking at the letter. Yes, Henchman was right, the envelope said it was a role confirmation. After all, the letter came from Inkwelltheater.
The red pupils widened when he read that and opened the envelope with his claws. He took the letter out of the envelope and began to read it. His tail wagged when he learned that he had been given the second lead. He played Elyot. "Yes, I got the lead!" he said proudly while Henchman and Amnon, each standing on one side of him, looked at the letter. Next to the message was a list of the other roles. Both looked at this. Alicia Powell was listed for the other lead role, playing Amanda. But the devil was nowhere to be found on the list. Next to the casting of Elyot it said that this role was played by a certain Jack the Jackal.
"But boss you are not even registered for the role" Amnon explained him. The devil who had been grinning with joy before gave himself a face palm while he slowly lowered his hand and looked at the two demons. "You idiots, I am Jack the Jackal!" he said angrily as he turned into a jackal. Both demons were a bit surprised by this, but then they remembered back to the dance ball of that time. The devil took this form to go to this dance as Alicia's partner. Of course, Alicia didn't know that Jack was really the devil.
"This is more than perfect" said the devil who was still disguised as Jack. "Maybe I could trick her like this and with the help of my finest demons bring her to my kingdom where she will be with me forever" just the thought made him laugh diabolically. "Good luck then, she is almost never alone" said King Dice.
"Yes she is almost rarely alone on the road but always accompanied by the three cups, the wolf, the two foxes and now the copy of you" the more Lilith mentions of the others who were traveling with Alicia the angrier the devil became. He was on fire again, which Henchman and Amnon noticed as they walked with slow steps to a rock behind which they hid. The devil was on the verge of going berserk again. But he calmed down again and the flames died down around him. He took a deep breath and exhaled. "Maybe, but someday she'll be alone and then I'll strike and get her," with these words he went to the wall mirror in whose reflection was no longer the devil, but Alicia, who was accompanied by Cuphead. "So she's out with this cup I see" this pleased the devil very much.
He rubbed his hands together and grinned diabolically before looking at Henchman. "Henchman, you will accompany me to the surface," said the devil as he walked away from the wall mirror and past the meeting table to pick up his trident that was leaning against the wall next to the entrance door.
Henchman was a bit confused and was about to say something when he realized that he was turning into a chubby little jackal wearing a chauffeur's outfit while a black limousine appeared behind him. He already suspected what his task was and got into the limousine with an annoyed expression on his face while the devil opened the rear door. Before he got in, however, he turned to the others. "While I'm gone, I want you to give me a detailed description of the cottage so I know how to get Alicia to me," with these words he got in, closed the door behind him and the limousine disappeared with Henchman and the devil.
King Dice, Amnon and Lilith looked at each other. "Um, shall we draw him a sketch of the cottage?" suggested King Dice nervously as he looked at Lilith and Amnon. Amnon shrugged his shoulders while Lilith thought and scratched his chin. No one really knew what to do while the devil was away. On top of that, someone appeared from the now half-open door. Everyone turned to it and groaned in annoyance while Lilith lay with her face on the table.
It was Stickler.
"Is it just me, or did the wind just stop?" wondered Alicia as she looked up at an oak tree whose branches had stopped swaying. The leaves weren't waving either. It was strange. A second ago it was windy and now it wasn't. As if someone had pushed a button to turn off the wind. Cuphead, who walked a few steps ahead, noticed that she was no longer following him. He turned to her, walked to her and also looked at the tree while thinking.
Yes it was strange that the wind stopped so suddenly "You're right the wind has stopped" he said and went to a branch that was hanging so low that he could reach it without problems. He poked at it but the leaves stopped. "Okay that's a little too creepy for me" Alicia said as she got goosebumps and walked away from the tree. Not only was the wind that was briefly still there gone, but also because of another thing she concealed from Cuphead. Alicia always knew when the devil was near her. It was like goose bumps but much more intense than normal goose bumps. Her fur really stood on end and she felt like someone was watching her. She had not felt this sensation for two weeks and became panic-stricken again. She didn't want to meet the devil again.
That's why she looked behind her shoulder every now and then. She wanted to make sure that no one was following her. "Um, Alicia, you're back in your demon form," Cuphead said to draw Alicia's attention. She didn't notice because she was still looking over her shoulder. It wasn't until Cuphead told her that she noticed, changed back into her human form, and scratched the back of her head nervously. "Thank you Cuphead," she said as she bent down to pat him on the head.
"We should probably keep going until the-" Alicia said as she suddenly heard a loud noise and looked around in confusion. Cuphead also looked around and saw that something was coming towards them from far away on the forest path they were on. Cuphead took a closer look before running to Alicia. She used her phoenix eyes to see better in the distance. She, too, was startled to see what was coming towards them, a limousine.
They both saw it approaching them at breakneck speed. Cuphead wanted to run away, but he preferred to stay behind Alicia, who stopped on the forest path. This confused him, "Alicia, come on, we have to get out of here or you'll get run over, and Cuppy and Lucifer will never forgive me for that!" But Alicia did not move. She remained standing on the spot. And for good reason, because the limousine braked in time before it could reach Alicia and Cuphead, who was now clinging to Alicia's legs. Alicia felt how much Cuphead was shaking. Her legs shook because of it. But she wasn't really scared by the limousine in front of her and Cuphead. Since she's been with Lucifer and visiting the world in the book almost regularly, she's used to such things as vehicles speeding towards you and braking just before. But she wanted to know one thing. That's why she went to the right rear window where her reflection was shown. The window, however, lowered and to Alicia's and Cuphead's horror and anger, they saw who was inside the limousine.
"Hello Alicia" said the Jackal who was sitting in the limo holding a black cigarette holder in his right hand. "Jack the Jackal, it's really nice to see you again after we haven't seen each other in a long time!" said Alicia with a slightly annoyed tone before walking away from the window. "Wait Alicia!" said Jack as he looked out the window and saw Alicia continuing down the forest path with Cuphead, completely ignoring him. He didn't want to give up though, "Henchman start the car and follow them" he nodded, started the car and drove at normal speed along the forest path, getting closer and closer to Alicia and Cuphead.
They both noticed the limo was next to them again and rolled their eyes in annoyance while Jack looked out the car window again "Alicia tell me why are you being so dismissive to me?" he asked her while Alicia gave him a "Are you serious?" look before she again paid him no attention and continued walking while Cuphead followed her. He couldn't let it go though and added salt to the still unnoticed wound "Dude you let her down back when you went to the prom with her so don't wonder why she's not paying attention to you anymore!" he said sticking his tongue out before following Alicia.
This shocked the jackal a little, who watched as the two slowly disappeared from his view. "Um what now boss? I guess she didn't bite like you hoped," said Henchman as he looked over his shoulder and saw the thoughtful look of the devil slowly changing back into his original form. "Hmm it looks like I would have to win back her trust as Jack the Jackal before I can continue with my original plan" said the devil as he scratched his chin and thought. "So you want to..." Henchman fell silent as he saw the devil nod in the rearview mirror. His question was answered. So they continued towards the city where Alicia and Cuphead already are and were standing in front of a pedestrian light.
This lit up red while traffic was in full swing. But one push of a button and the pedestrian light changed from red to green. Well, rather, it was the red traffic light man gave the green an slap so that this woke up that this was still asleep before it lit up green and the traffic came to a halt in an instant. Both crossed the street and was just about to go further when she rolled her eyes as she heard a familiar voice.
Don't tell me he's behind us. Alicia didn't want to turn around at first, but she did anyway and saw the same limousine as before standing behind her. Jack had of course lowered the car window and was grinning at her again. Wait, why does this grin seem so familiar? She didn't know why but she had to think of the devil. "My dear why don't you come with me and you save yourself a trip to the theater?" the jackal asked her as he propped his claws with a nail file. "I'll pass!" she said and continued walking. But the jackal did not give up but got out of the car and stood in the way of her and Cuphead. "Wait my good one I haven't finished talking yet" he said holding her cheeks with both hands.
"Could you please keep your paws off my cheeks?" she said slightly annoyed as she looked him in the eye. Her green and blue eyes stared into his yellow eyes. "Not until you let me finish my love" Jack said as he ran his right hand over her hair. That she didn't like it Cuphead saw. "Hey are you deaf? She already said several times that she doesn't want to talk to you!" Cuphead tried to push him away from her, but Jack didn't move a bit and pushed Cuphead away with his tail.
"You stay out of this when two adults are talking to each other" said the Jackal before turning his attention to Alicia "Now where were we oh yes on the matter of you not wanting to go to the theater with me?" Alicia was silent "Then I could have a talk with you with what happened back then" she was still silent and became more annoyed than before "Do you really think that a simple talk will change my mind?" Jack nodded and smiled but Alicia remained silent.
She didn't want to tell him her honest opinion. Especially not when Cuphead is present and he could pick up something. No, she didn't want to risk that, so she freed her cheeks from his paws. "Listen Jack, I'm happy to take you up on the offer, but there's a problem," Alicia said while Jack looked at her in confusion. "And that is?" he asked her "That we are already standing in front of the theater" yes that was true they were standing in front of the stairs leading to the theater. "Oh well..." he said nervously as Alicia and Cuphead walked past him up the stairs and were greeted by Sally who was opening the door for Alicia and Cuphead and the others to enter the theater. "Oh there's my goddaughter!" said Sally as she hugged Alicia "Hey Sally" she said as the actress let go of her so she could go into the theater where the other actors were already.
Everyone went backstage where Sally explained everything to them. "As I'm sure most of you already know, next Monday we will be performing our newest play called Private Lives" Sally said with pride while Sergei and her husband showed a poster that will be used as a promotional poster. On it was an Elyot and Amanda dancing in silhouette with the title of the play above them. Below them was the date of the play. But until then, everyone had to memorize their roles before they could perform the play. That's why Sally decided that everyone should work in pairs.
That means Alicia had to work with Jack because she played one of the two main roles. Yes, you couldn't miss the eye roll when she heard that. But she couldn't change anything about it anyway. So she walked up to Jack, or rather he walked up to her and grinned that familiar grin at her again. "Well Amanda shall we get started?" Ha ha very funny. She growled softly so that no one heard. "Whatever" she said and started practicing her lines with him that they both got from Sally.
While the two were practicing their roles, Cuphead sat down on a bench backstage and took his blue yo-yo out of his pocket to play with while noticing that someone sat down next to him. He looks to his right where the fat jackal was sitting who took off his cap before exhaling. The hours in the theater flew by as it slowly got darker outside. The first day of rehearsal was over and Alicia and Cuphead were leaving the theater like the other actors and were about to walk across the streets when they heard a horn. They both looked around until Elder Kettle came around the corner with Blood and the others to pick them up.
Both were very pleased to see the others again that they got into the car with joy. Well, with Cuphead it was rather a not well planned jump. He clawed at the wooden wall until he noticed that someone grabbed him by the sweater and lifted him into the car. He landed next to his brother and Cuppy who sat with Blood on the back bench while Alicia sat in front with Elder Kettle. "So how was the first day of rehearsal?" asked Elder Kettle as he looked to Alicia while driving through town. "It went pretty well," said Alicia as she looked outside. "Doesn't that sound good or why so down?" he asked her as they stopped at a traffic light and looked from Alicia to Cuphead who looked just like her. Slightly annoyed. "Well we ran into an old acquaintance".
When Blood, Cuppy and Mugman heard this they looked at Cuphead who noticed that he was being stared at. Mugman approached his brother and whispered to him so Elder Kettle wouldn't hear, "By old acquaintances, do you mean the devil?" Cuphead just shook his head, which calmed Mugman, who exhaled in relief. Once home, Elder Kettle parked the car in front of the fence before turning it off and opening the car door. The others in the back seats also got out. Alicia was also about to get out when she noticed that there were two hands, or rather two claws, next to her waist.
These lifted her and brought her out of the car. It was not difficult to figure out that it was Lucifer. He was the only one who stayed in the cottage. "Welcome back, my love," he said as he caressed her cheek with his fingers. This pleased her very much and she already forgot about Jack. "There's your beautiful smile again" Lucifer said as he continued to stroke her while his tail knotted with hers. Since they left the city, she was back in her demon form. "Aww do you like that?" Lucifer asked her when he noticed that Alicia was slowly lowering her body and threatening to land on the floor if Lucifer didn't take her in his arms. "You are very knocked out my love" he said and went with her into the cottage.
Meanwhile, from a bush appeared the devil and Henchman, both of whom had been watching the whole thing. You could see the anger on the devil's face "What does this stupid copy have that I don't?" he asked himself while trying not to freak out. Henchman scratched his chin thoughtfully while looking into the guest room where Alicia was with Lucifer, Blood and Cuppy. Blood sat on his bed and took off his cloak and the rest of his armor before he also lay down on his bed while Cuppy went out of the room. She was sitting cross-legged, or rather lying cross-legged, while he continued to pet her before placing her on his stomach and lying down on the bed.
"Hmm she seems to trust him" he said before looking to the devil "Like I can't be trusted" he said while Henchman shrugged his shoulder. He didn't know what to say without the devil throwing another tantrum. "No matter how she will not escape me and become my queen" said the devil as he took his trident in his hand, raised it and with a touch of the ground disappeared along with Henchman in a cloud of smoke.
The next days proceeded differently. Alicia had no problems and quickly learned her role by heart, which pleased Sally very much. The same was true for Jack the Jackal. Of course, learning the lines was not the only thing. To Alicia's dismay, she had to wear a dress that was again overlong. But fortunately not as long as the dress she had to wear in the storybook. Yes, she hated it, but she only wore it for the second act, which fortunately was not as long as the first act.
Luckily I only have to wear it today and then on the day of the performance, Alicia thought to herself as she took the dress off in Sally's dressing room before hanging it up in the closet where she got her regular clothes and put them on before she was startled by a knock. "Wait, I'll change!" Alicia called as the door, which was slightly open, closed again.
She quickly put on her jeans pants before walking towards the door. Please tell me it's Cuphead or Sally. She hoped so, but when she opened the door she saw only a jackal. "Sorry to barge in, but can we please talk?" he asked. Alicia rolled her eyes and wasn't sure but she let him in since he wouldn't leave her alone all day anyway "Come in for my sake then we can put it behind us" she said with an annoyed roll of her eyes as she opened the door wider for the Jackal to enter the room.
Jackal sat down on one of the chairs while Alicia sat down on the couch. "What do you want to talk about?" she asked him while resting her right arm on the armrest. "About the ball thing." Alicia looked at him not very impressively while Jack thought before continuing "I didn't know that you were kidnapped by the devil and I feel very bad that I couldn't help you back then" Alicia said nothing but kept silent.
"I got held up and after not finding you anywhere I left" that didn't really please Alicia "That's why I wanted to apologize to you" Alicia was still skeptical about him. Jack was different from the other residents on the island. No one had eyes like his with the exception of the devil. She could have sworn that Jack was just the devil in disguise.
She didn't want to trust him but she suspected that if she denied again he would beg her again to accept his apology. She nodded, "Okay, I'll accept your apology if you leave me alone afterwards," she said, standing up and walking past him. Jack, or rather the devil, was very pleased that she accepted the apology, but of course he didn't leave her alone because they both had to work together for the rest of the day. The last day of rehearsals before the theater performance ended. All the actors were already out except Alicia and Cuphead. Both were still in the auditorium waiting for Elder Kettle and the others.
Unfortunately it was raining cats and dogs outside and neither of them had a jacket with them. "Why are you two still sitting here?" asked Jack, who went down from the stage with his chauffeur. They both looked at him "We're waiting for our ride because we forgot to pack our jackets" said Alicia who dropped into her seat and stared at the ceiling of the auditorium. The lights didn't really dazzle her but that didn't stop the Jackal from looking down at her as he was doing right now. His smile was hard to miss.
"How about we give you a ride?" suggested Jack while his muzzle came closer and closer to her lip. Alicia noticed this and therefore looked from the ceiling back to the stage so that the Jackal couldn't even think about making out with her. "Well, since Sally has already left and we are the only ones here except for Sergei who lives two houses away and I honestly don't feel like waiting anymore, we'll take you up on your offer". This pleased the Jackal very much however he was confused about the word "we" and looked at Alicia confused "What do you mean by we exactly?" he asked her until he heard a clearing of his throat and looked down to Alicia's left. There stood Cuphead impatiently stomping his right foot. "I don't like him walking home alone in the rain so Cuphead will come with us whether you like it or not Anubis!" said Alicia as she nudged his nose as she walked past him followed by Cuphead.
Alicia didn't see it but the jackal blushed while his tail wagged with joy. "Okay, the cup can come with me, my dearest," Jack said while following Alicia and Cuphead with Henchman holding the front door open. The rain turned into a light thunderstorm which didn't bother anyone. The limousine parked in front of the theater building. Jack went to it first and opened the right rear door for Alicia and Cuphead "If you please?" Alicia said nothing and got in. Her hair was soaking wet and she wanted only one thing when she got back inside with Cuphead.
Take a relaxing bath. She sat on the far left rear seat while Cuphead sat in the middle and Jack sat on the far right, closing the car door. All three buckled up before Henchman started the engine, turned on the wipers and turned on the radio, which was playing jazz music. "I'll be glad when we get home and then I'm going to take a shower" said Alicia as she looked out the window.
The limousine drove past several stores that were also closing their doors. Yes, it was late. Very late even "Yes, I'm also looking forward to when we are back home" Cuphead was the same as Alicia. He was also wet from head to toe and wanted to take a bath. "Well then, let's get you two home quickly, because we should be more than prepared for tomorrow" Yes, tomorrow was already the day of the performance of the play. Fortunately, Alicia and Cuphead did not have to get up so early because the performance will take place in the evening.
But that didn't stop Jack from pushing a button that was next to the door handle. Alicia and Cuphead heard a low hum when suddenly a table with a bottle of champagne and two champagne glasses appeared from the floor of the limousine in front of them. Jack took both glasses and the bottle. The cork flew away like a bouncy ball when Jack removed this and landed in the head of Cuphead who took it out before he became slightly dizzy.
"Well since tomorrow is the big day it would be appropriate for us to have a drink" Jack said as he filled both glasses before placing the half full bottle back on the table and handing a glass to Alicia. "Right Alicia?" his yellow eyes gleamed at her as she held the glass in her hands and stared at it. It tingled and fizzed like regular champagne but Alicia was unsure. Once because of Jack and once because of Cuphead who was lying next to her, completely tired and dozing off.
"Um maybe another time Jack I-" she was about to put the glass down on the floor when Jack grabbed her hand. Alicia got goose bumps again. Why did his paw feel like the devil's claw? She looked at him. "Alicia, please join me in a toast," he asked her kindly, but Alicia wasn't sure. Could the champagne be filled with a narcotic? She knew the stories from her school days. You should never leave your drink alone in a disco as they might get amped up on narcotics. She doesn't want to take the risk "There's no narcotic in there, is there?" she asked while Jack stared at her and laughed "No, of course not" he said and drank from his glass to show her that there was nothing in it. Alicia was relieved, toasted him and drank from her glass.
The cottage could be seen from afar as the headlights of the limousine shone on it. Alicia, meanwhile, was doing quite well and had Cuphead in her arms while talking to Jack. "Really he tried that and then got in trouble?" asked Jack her while Alicia nodded and laughed. "Yeah he wanted to prove to the other guys that we girls had, well you know what" Jack just nodded "Only at that moment our gym teacher was in his office next to our locker room and didn't think it was funny but we girls did" she burst out laughing with Jack while Cuphead just covered his non-existent ears.
"Oh boy that must have been embarrassing for him, right?" asked Jack as he wiped away a tear. "Well he got over it but we talk about it every now and then" said Alicia as the limo came to a stop. They were in front of the cottage and it had stopped raining. Both got out of the limousine while Jack sat down on the seat where Alicia was sitting before, rolled down the car window and wished her a pleasant evening. Cuphead went through the fence gate first while Alicia turned to Jack "Hey Jack" the Jackal looked at her "Thanks for the ride" she smiled at him and followed Cuphead into the cottage while the Jackal rolled up the car window and changed back to his normal form and was the devil again.
The limo drove on "Boss she seems to be starting to trust you" said Henchman who was also a normal demon again and not a jackal anymore. "Yes Henchman she does and tomorrow she will be mine!" he said with a laugh. In the cottage Alicia went to the bathroom to freshen up before going to bed. In the guest room were already the others. Cuppy was fast asleep in his bed while Blood was sitting on the desk working on something while Lucifer was impatiently watching the clock and waiting for Alicia to come into the room and quietly close the door behind him so Cuppy wouldn't wake up.
But as soon as she turned around she felt someone standing behind her and smelling her hair. "Hmm cinnamon" said the voice as Alicia felt the nose go deeper into her hair and someone buried themselves in her hair. It was Lucifer. "Do you like the shampoo?" asked Alicia as he purred and nodded. "I guess that means yes" he took her in his arms and walked her over to her bed and continued to smell her hair while she lay on his chest and he covered himself with her.
The next day dawned and there was a lot going on in the city. In front of the theater were several cars and the auditorium was full to capacity. Elder Kettle and the others, of course, sat in the front row and waited patiently. Next to Elder Kettle sat Blood, Lucifer in his disguise as a man, Cuppy and Mugman. Cuphead was backstage and with Alicia in Sally's dressing room from which the latter pushed him out along with the Baroness as Alicia was in the process of undressing. "A simple " get out" would have sufficed" he said and walked back toward the bench that was not far from Sally's locker room. Behind the bench it was very dark. But Cuphead didn't mind, taking out his yo-yo and playing with it, ignoring the yellow eyes that appeared behind him.
The indicator light that was in the locker room turned from red to green. Alicia, Bon Bon and Sally knew what that meant. The show was about to start and Alicia had to leave the dressing room. "Too bad you can't see the show Bon Bon" said Sally. "Believe me I would have loved to be there but you know how pushy Whippet can be when he is alone too long" she said and looked from Sally to Alicia who was more than nervous. "But next time I'll be there and watch the show I promise!" with these words she walked out of the dressing room leaving Alicia alone with Sally.
Sally was about to follow her out the door when she looked in the mirror and saw how nervous Alicia was. She knew that look more than enough and guessed what Alicia had. She had stage fright. That's why Sally decided to save her from it and encourage her like a godmother did. "Hey Alicia, I know there are a lot of people out there waiting for you and staring at you, but listen to me my dearest" Alicia looked at her with her fear filled eyes "You can do it!" Alicia swallowed and nodded. She was feeling better than before. Therefore, without thinking about it, she went with Sally from the dressing room to the stage, which was covered by the curtain. Before the curtain was to rise, Sally wanted to talk to all the actors. She thanked everyone and wished them good luck before they went to their positions as the curtain rose.
The stage showed an apartment building, a park with a tree, pond and a bench and a street. From the open window appeared Jack the Jackal dressed as Elyot and wearing a robe while looking outside and holding a pipe in his mouth from which came artificial smoke. "Ah a beautiful spring day" he said as he looked out the window while the rest of the actors walked across the stage. "A tedius time of the year for singles like me!" with these words several female actors appeared on the stage. Among them was Alicia who went to the park with a newspaper under her arm and sat on the bench reading the newspaper while Jack looked around for a partner for himself. "Hmm. Unusual breed," Jack said as a slender actress in a coat, skirt and tights walked past him. No, he didn't like her. "Well, now, what have we here?" an actress who was short and chubby and wore a thick coat walked past the thin tall woman "Hmm. Well, a little too short-coupled" the audience laughed and clapped.
"Too old, too young" Jack said as he was about to give up until his eyes wandered to Alicia who was reading the newspaper. "Well, now that's a bit more like it!" the spotlight landed on Alicia who of course was not feeling well "The most beautiful creature on two legs" Lucifer agreed with him. Alicia was something special for him and not only because she was beautiful. "Oh, now, if only the girl..." he looked at her while leaning on the windowsill and continuing to watch Alicia "She's very lovely". "I'd never find another woman like her, not if I looked for 100 years".
Yes he wanted her and without hesitation he went downstairs out the door and ran into the park. The stage set changed as the apartment disappeared and the entire park was visible. In the park Jack was looking for Alicia and asking the rest of the park visitors if they had seen her. Unfortunately, "At first I was afraid I missed her" he said as he continued walking and the stage changed again. "Perhaps she passed on by the park" he continued walking past the bench Alicia was sitting on and was about to continue walking until he stopped and looked behind him. "Then suddenly, I spotted her" the spotlight now fell on the two of them. "It was the perfect situation if I planned it right" he thought about how he could ask her until he thought of something.
Alicia, who was finishing reading her newspaper, noticed that someone was sitting next to her. She looked at him and showed a sign of curiosity until Jack looked at her and she looked away as if she hadn't looked at him. "I beg your pardon" said Jack "I'm so sorry. Please excuse me" said Alicia as she nervously stood up and walked away from him. The audience looked sad and said "Ooh" as Alicia walked away from Jack. But this one followed her, which Alicia noticed, which is why she turned around and suddenly became completely different. She felt something in him that she could hardly describe. Was it love? Yes, it was love, but only acted, of course. And even before the two came closer and it came to the kiss, the curtain lowered and the light in the auditorium went on again.
Sally entered the stage and explained to the audience that there would now be a 30 minute break before the play continued. The break, however, did not apply to Alicia and the rest of the cast. They had to get undressed and changed quickly because the second act is the wedding act. And Alicia had to put on her wedding dress. But she couldn't find it in Sally's dressing room.
"No no where did it go?" she asked herself and searched everywhere for the dress but she didn't find it and panicked. "Did I leave it in the guest room?" Elder Kettle wanted to mend it, so she took it with her. But she took it back with her, didn't she? She didn't know and disappeared in a puff of smoke and was back in the guest room that was in the cottage.
She searched everywhere but nowhere found the dress. She didn't want to give up, which is why she kept searching. But what Alicia did not suspect was that from outside a cloud of smoke came several figures approaching the cottage. The birds that were still hovering around the house disappeared as a huge shadow appeared over the house. Alicia didn't notice anything because she was still searching and had scattered a huge pile of clothes on the floor. The window that was behind her was opened from the outside with a sharp claw that slowly turned the lock to the side that kept the window closed from the inside.
The window opened slowly so that Alicia did not hear anything. But she saw the shadow because the moonlight shone directly into the room. The shadow looked familiar. "Lucifer?" she asked when she saw the shadow and turned around but saw nothing except the open window from which the wind was coming. She rolled her eyes, walked towards the window and closed it. "Now I'm already confusing a branch with my husband" she said quietly to herself. She was about to look further when she suddenly heard a loud grumble and growl. Alicia flinched when she heard it and out of the corner of her eye she saw that she was not alone.
"Hello, Alicia" Alicia knew the voice and began to tremble again. It was the devil with Henchman and some of his finest demons standing behind her in the room. The demons all looked very threatening and could kill Alicia without hesitation if they wanted to.
She wanted to escape, but unfortunately the devil and his minions were standing right in front of the only exit from the room. In addition, someone grabbed her by the collar from behind. "Hey let go of me!" she said in panic as she tried to free herself, but the gorilla-like demon wouldn't let go. Alicia, who was back in her demon form, tried to catch him with her claws, but before she could do that she saw a bag appear under her.
She fell into it before Henchman tied it with a rope "My apologies, Miss Alicia" he said while another demon took the sack. This pleased the devil very much who went to the sack "Don't worry my dearest when you and I are crowned you will never leave my side" Alicia swallowed nervously when she heard this "Then let's not wait any longer my dearest" the devil raised his trident and touched the ground making Alicia and the others disappear with him in a cloud of smoke leaving only a note.
Meanwhile, in the auditorium.
Cuppy and the others sat in it wondering when it was going to go on. The 30 minutes were already long over what also the other guests have noticed why they went out of the auditorium again to either smoke, drink something or something else.
But the group remained seated until they all, with the exception of Elder Kettle who was falling asleep, heard a "Shh!" and looked to the stage where Sally was looking out asking the group to follow her backstage. "What she's gone?" asked Cuppy her when the group learned that Alicia was no longer backstage. "Where could she be?" asked Mugman "And where is Cuphead anyway?". This question was quickly answered by a loud noise coming from Sally's dressing room.
Everyone went into this one and saw the mess and that the one closet was shaking. Sally, who was closer, walked to it with quiet steps while Blood pulled out his wand and was ready to fire at whatever came out of the closet that Sally opened. To everyone's shock, it was Cuphead who was tied up with ropes and had a cloth wrapped around his mouth. "Cuphead?!" everyone said in shock before Mugman took the cloth out of his mouth so he could speak.
"Alicia is in danger" said this one with a face filled with fear. However, everyone was confused. How could she be in danger? Well, no one knew except Lucifer who felt that his beloved Alicia was not well. That's why he disappeared without hesitation in a cloud of smoke and stood in front of the cottage into which he ran in panic. "Oh, Alicia, please be still here, my love!" he said several times as he went into the cottage and entered the guest room. But she was not there.
The panic continued to spread through him as he searched the entire room for her. But she was not there. He was about to give up when he stepped on something and looked down to where the note the devil had left was.
He lifted this and opened it. His fear was confirmed as well as his anger. He knew where his beloved Alicia was. And oh boy was he angry with rage. "This devil has gone too far!" he said and the note burned in his claws. The rage spread through him as he disappeared with his trident. A great battle was about to be fought for Alicia. Who would win it, no one knew.
