Chapter 30: Sabotage
Kabuto and Tabitha have brought Lucky's remains to Kaluna who in turn revives him while sacrificing a random prisoner of war from another nation.
"Huh? Where am I? How the hell am I alive?" Lucky asked himself.
"Hello there." Kaluna replied.
"You have Aura? That means you're a part of the Aura-Sun family. This is perfect! Are Chance, Mai, and Melina still alive?" Lucky asked enthusiastically.
"Yes. Your wife managed to survive all of this time. And has become an alcoholic who spends all of her time coping with your loss. It's quite pathetic really." Kaluna answered.
"DON'T YOU DARE INSULT MY WIFE YOU GUTLESS WORM!" Lucky shouted, grabbing Kaluna by the collar of her kimono.
"You don't scare me. Now let go of me." Kaluna replied.
"Of course, of course. I got carried away." Lucky responded by putting Kaluna back down on the ground and patting her head a couple of times.
"You're now my puppet. Your Aura makes it so you can escape my control, but I can restore that control just by touching you. If you try to return to the underworld, you will die. If you disobey me, you will discover secrets that will crush your spirit." Kaluna threatened.
"What secrets? Is it about me?" Lucky asked.
"No. You're fine. But let's just say people died in large numbers by someone special." Kaluna replied.
" It's probably one of my crazy friends. I knew this would happen." Lucky responded with relief.
"You're wrong. But that's all I'm going to tell you. Now, come with me." Kaluna replied.
"Alright. I hope you're bringing me to my family. It's been so long. Actually, how long has it been?" Lucky asked.
"It's been five years." Kaluna answered.
"I hope my son has grown into a fine young man. my princess Mai, I hope she accomplished her goal of becoming a great shinobi like I was. I hope my dear Melina will finally break out of her alcoholic depression as you describe it. I'm going to fix everything! Trust me!" Lucky replied.
"Stay here. I will bring your family to a certain location, and you can finally unite with them." Kaluna ordered.
"Nice! I can't wait!" Lucky replied enthusiastically.
Kaluna leaves Lucky.
"To think that his children are even his is astonishing. I'm sure Chance's household got a lot quieter with that pain gone. If only I had proper control over him. I would silence him immediately." Kaluna thought to herself.
About an hour later
Kaluna arrives with Chance, Mai, and Melina.
"Lucky!" Melina shouted.
Melina runs to Lucky and hugs him as she cries.
"Honey, it's been so long. I'm sorry I died and caused so much pain." Lucky apologized.
"I–it's fine. I'm just glad you're back." Melina replied.
"I am too." Mai added.
Chance walks behind Kaluna and grabs the back of her neck.
"You fell into my trap." Chance said.
"What are you talking about?" Kaluna responded with fury.
"Let her go." Mai demanded.
"Oh, that's right you don't know. Kaluna has been working with enemies of the state of Rota. An act that allows me to sentence you to death or life in prison regardless of the goals I am supposed to help you achieve. You're working with Damian and his Riech and I now have the evidence to prove it." Chance replied.
"You're insane. Do you want me to spill the truth?" Kaluna asked telepathically.
"Try it and you die." Chance threatened telepathically.
"Fine. Arrest me." Kaluna accepted reality.
Chance brings Kaluna to a cell and places chakra disabling handcuffs on her.
"Sorry Kaluna." Chance apologized.
"It's fine." Kaluna responded with a smile.
"Miss bastard of a cousin mentioned something about evidence. Do you know what he is talking about?" Kaguya asked telepathically.
"No. But knowing him, he had a strategically brilliant plan all along. He may not seem like much at first glance. But underestimating him won't end well for anybody." Kaluna replied.
"I see. Do you have an escape plan?" Kaguya asked.
"I don't need one. Damian will rescue me. He needs me and I need him." Kaluna answered.
"Do you like him?" Kaguya asked.
"What a foolish thought. He never cared for any woman. He never cared for anyone." Kaluna answered.
On Rotas balcony
Chance waits eagerly for Naruto. Ready to deliver some great news. Naruto arrives in a hurry.
"What is it you wanted me to come here for?" Naruto asked.
"I got great news. I have enough proof to prove that Kaluna is a traitor. And according to my doctrine I am allowed to not help Kaluna in any goal she wishes to achieve. So we can now focus on defeating the Reich with me not having to do anything drastic." Chance answered.
"Yes! That's great. Whenever I'm near her it makes me nervous." Naruto replied.
"She is intimidating. But never let her sense your fear." Chance responded.
"Yeah. So, what are we going to do next to win the war?" Naruto asked.
"Not much we can do. We have to either find Germania or wait for them to invade somewhere where we can inflict as many casualties as possible and kick them out of that nation." Chance answered.
"How are we supposed to find this Germania place?" Naruto asked.
"I have no clue whatsoever. Normally it would be east of here. But the expeditionary force I sent could not find it. It seems they have relocated." Chance answered.
"There has got to be a way to defeat them quickly." Naruto growled.
"You're frustrated, aren't you? I know of a great way for you to let your frustration let loose." Chance replied.
"What is it?" Naruto asked.
"Kagaya Ubuyashiki. The leader of the demon slayer corps. He has the largest reserve of wisteria flowers. If the Reich gets their hand on these flowers. We will die, but more importantly, your friends will die. So we have to kill him, his family, the entire demon slayer corps, and any civilians living in demon slayer villages. Once we do this and take the flowers. The Reich will lose yet another opportunity to take us down. Wisteria flowers can kill demons. Which make up the majority of our forces. No more flowers, no more stupid slayer corps, nothing can stop us now." Chance explained.
"Killing his family? The entire corps and civilians? What's that about?" Naruto asked.
"They all are threats. Kill them all. And no one can hurt us. You want to be hokage one day right? Well comrade Naruto, the way the world works, it requires sacrifice. We must sacrifice their lives in order to get what we want. You want to be hokage, I want to erase the trauma I've been haunted by and make the world a better place using my power. In this scenario require someone to die. The world ain't all sunshine and lollipops comrade." Chance explained.
"I understand." Naruto replied.
"Good. Let's get going. We are about to slay some slayers." Chance responded with a sinister smile.
"Are you sure that only the two of us will be fine against an entire corps?" Naruto asked.
"You do make a good point. It is a huge risk. But I will bring backup. The strongest swordswomen in the world. Kanae Kocho. I find it poetic in my own twisted way, that the strongest most beloved member of the corps would be the one to take them out." Chance replied.
"That's messed up Chance. Killing them all, that would include the old people and children. Why not spare them?" Naruto asked.
"Let me briefly explain how the matrix I mean world works. There are players and there are pawns. You and I are the players and everyone else are pawns. Pawns must be sacrificed to achieve your goals. In order to make it big in life, you're going to have to sacrifice someone. Keeping the innocents alive won't benefit us and if they are spared they will seek revenge one day but killing them will gain me power. And It would gain you power if you were a demon." Chance explained.
"Killing innocents is wrong. How would you feel if someone killed every innocent person here?" Naruto argued.
"I don't think you understand. No one can touch them. No one can touch us. This question is too unrealistic. We are playing the game of life. And I and everything I care about. Is untouchable." Chance replied.
"Do you not feel bad for killing innocents? I thought you had a heart!" Naruto shouted.
"I have a heart for those I care about. Morality means little to me in this scenario. I spare some lives; I gain nothing out of it and in 10-20 years' time those same bitches are going to seek revenge. And from what you told me about Sasuke, you know what happens when people seek revenge. People get hurt. Those same people could kill innocents themselves. When people seek revenge, they will do anything to obtain it. We live in an unpredictable world, it's all about containment. If I contain a situation, with the power blessed to me by god. I can manipulate it at will." Chance replied.
"I thought you were a kind person. But you're a monster." Naruto responded.
"I think you need some time to cool off. Take it easy. I will be gone for a while. Bye Naruto." Chance said.
"Bye." Naruto replied.
Chance walks away.
"Jeez what a bitch. I'm amazed how you tolerate such an ignorant punk." Lucifer said in his subconscious.
"Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa! Naruto just has a heart. He will eventually lose it. But for now. I've got to have some ass kicking to do." Chance replied in his subconscious.
30 minutes later
Naruto thinks about what had happened.
"Was I in the wrong?" He asks himself.
Suddenly, Naruto hears footsteps and muffled screaming. He draws two kunai, one for each hand and turns around.
Tamayo has Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Asuma, Ino, Shikamaru, choji, Kurenai, Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Might guy, Rock lee, Neji, Tenten, Iruka, Mew, and Shannon tied up in Aura Chains with paper talisman covering their mouths. Yushiro stands beside Tamayo holding what seems to be a skeleton's arm.
"Let them go!" Naruto shouted, giving Yushiro a death glare.
"Of course. These Konoha shinobi were spying on governmental matters and had possession of several important documents. I already know of their intentions. And I agree with what they are doing. This is the main reason I'm even here. Yushiro currently has possession of the arm of the skeleton in charge of surveilling over the surrounding area. All over the now declared empire of Rota limbs of sentient skeletons spy on everyone in one massive surveillance operation. There is an entire underground headquarters underground. I was thinking that you and your friends whom I had to tie up in order to make a convincing arrest could help in sabotaging the headquarters." Tamayo explained.
"And why should I trust you? You don't show any signs of trustworthiness or sincerity." Naruto asked.
"How dare you say that about Lady Tamayo, you ignorant punk!" Yushiro replied.
"That's enough. As entertaining as your first fight was, we are not going to do that again. It's fine to not trust me. Yushiro, remove the paper talisman." Tamayo ordered.
"Yes ma'am." Yushiro replied.
Yushiro one by one removes the paper talisman covering their mouths. Tamayo dispels the Aura chains.
"You're all free. So, do all of you want to participate in this sabotage mission?" Tamayo asked.
"Hell no! I'm not trusting an ugly hoe like you!" Shannon shouted.
"How dare you be an unruly ape!" Yushiro shouted back.
"Take it easy Yushiro. I assume you were the man Kaluna betrayed. But that is no excuse to call a child an ugly hoe." Tamayo replied calmly.
"I'll never trust an Aura-Sun like you. I heard you Aura-Suns had a tendency to have illnesses. So I hope you fucking die from an illness if you dont already." Shannon growled.
"Calm down Shannon." Kurenai said.
"Enough with the hostility. Now quickly answer my question. Will you join us or not?" Tamayo asked.
The Konoha shinobi form a huddle.
"Iruka Sensei, Mew. What are you two doing here?" Naruto asked.
"We joined this intelligence party to make sure you were safe around this suspicious family." Iruka answered.
"I joined to make sure I'm not in a relationship with a psycho." Mew said.
"I suggest that we do take this opportunity. If these two are telling the truth. We can gather evidence and sabotage a critical tool used for control." Shikamaru suggested.
"And what if she's lying? What if she is willing to turn us into the authorities?" Sasuke asked.
"But Sasuke, she could have turned us into the authorities right now. But instead she has set us free and is giving us a good opportunity. Nobody in most cases, should be intruding on someone's privacy. We take down this network of spies, then it will be easier to execute our mission." Sakura argued.
"You're right. If there are no other objections. Then we must accept this offer." Sasuke replied.
They break from their huddle.
"We accept your offer." Sakura accepted.
"Alright. Follow me." Tamayo replied.
They follow Tamayo and Yushiro to a remote location. Tamayo lowers on one knee.
"The beginning of one of the many tunnels starts here." Tamayo said, grabbing a paper bomb from the inside her kimono.
Tamayo places the paper bomb on the ground.
"Get back." Tamayo ordered.
They back up a safe distance. Tamayo activates the bomb and jumps back. The explosion is relatively large. Larger than the average paper bomb.
"I discovered another hole elsewhere. This was where I exited. Now, follow me. Expect fierce resistance by the skeletons." Tamayo said.
As they enter the tunnel, they walk down stone steps to ground level where 20 skeletons stand ready to attack.
"Listen everyone. These skeletons cannot be defeated. Like demons, they regenerate. But this time, it's impossible to slay them. Decapitating them is pointless as even their heads and bodies regenerate no matter what. We also don't have the tools for such an endeavor. Yushiro will clear the path. Cover your eyes. Tamayo explained using her telepathy.
After Tamayo explained this, Thousands of skeletons arrived with more on the way. Yushiro tosses a kunai with a paper flash bomb attached. The bomb goes off temporarily blinding the skeletons. Yushiro then summons an earth dragon to clear the way and knock the skeletons down. The rest of the saboteurs climb the dragon's body and pass the skeletons. The saboteurs rush towards the dragon's head. Once they make it to the head. The dragon raises its hand allowing Tamayo to place a paper bomb on the ceiling of the tunnel. The dragon then lowers its head to allow the saboteurs to dismount. The skeletons rise back up and begin to chase the saboteurs. Tamayo sets the paper bomb off causing the ceiling to fall and traps the skeletons behind a wall. .Yushiro then places a talisman with a sealing formula inscribed on it on the debris.
The saboteurs search for the main headquarters.
"Something isn't right. Limbs of skeletons should be everywhere providing surveillance. They must've known we would come." Tamayo theorized.
"That's impossible. I destroyed the eye on the arm we used to provide proof for this place." Yushiro replied.
"If they know we are here. Then they want us to get to the main headquarters. They are going to use everything they've got to kill us." Shikamaru responded.
"Yes. More skeletons should have arrived to take us down." Tamayo added.
They arrive at the village where those Chance considers sinners are housed.
"What is this place?" Kakashi asked.
"I have no clue. But we should investigate. Maybe we could discover crucial evidence." Tamayo replied.
As the saboteurs wander this bleak village. The residents give our heroes nasty glares of disdain.
"AURA-SUN!" A voice yells.
Suddenly a short man with a spear passes through a wall on a nearby building.
"I'm going to kill you for what the bigot king did!" The man replied savagely.
"Know I am not responsible for what has happened. I am completely unaware of your situation. I wouldn't recommend starting a fight with me. I'm craving blood." Tamayo responded still in her usual calm tone.
"SHUT UP! I'm going to tear your arms up and beat you with them." The man replied
The man's body turns red and grows several feet taller.
"Be on your guard." Kakashi said.
In a flash Tamayo is kicked in the stomach and sent into a building.
"I can just smell the demon off you Konoha shinobi. How pathetic, you've become pawns. A Konoha shinobi once saved my life. But look at it now, pawns to an unrelenting bigot. If you ever do make it to the surface. Expose the king for all of this. Crumble his empire of lies and set yourself free. Go on through, just leave the Aura–Sun here with me." The man replied.
"Never. I will never leave Tamayo behind." Yushiro responded.
"Huh? Dude, you do realize I'm letting you go right? Just go, leave the Aura-Sun to me so I can torture her for pleasure." The man replied.
"I'm not going to let anyone harm Lady Tamayo ever again." Yushiro responded.
"Why? She's a bitch. Wait scratch that, she's below a bitch. Why would you care for such a disgusting creature?" The man asked.
"Why? Because she saved my life and has been a true friend to me all my life. I love her. And I don't care what beef you have with her and her family. But I'm not going to let you lay another hand on her!" Yushiro replied determined.
"What a true gentleman. Unfortunately for you. You don't have an army to stop me. Because I! The famous Mauzer will never fall to a one man scrub like you!" Mauzer declared.
"Mauzer? I've heard of that name before. Who are you?" Yushiro asked.
"I! The legendary Mauzer is one of the Panthers! Legendary Siberian soldiers! An infamous war criminal and war profiteer! I was betrayed by that scum of a human being. He betrayed me. HE BETRAYED ME! I knew too much, and I like guys. Apparently, that's enough to banish me to eternity here. In this bland hell!" Mauzer explained.
"You like guys? That was one of the reasons he put you here?" Yushiro asked.
"Aye. He's a bigot. He banishes anyone who is attracted to the same sex. Men to men. Women to women. We were on decent terms united by a common goal. To profit off the war in our own way. We were supposed to rule the world together. BUT HE BETRAYED ME!" Mauzer continued to explain.
"That's horrible. We are here to sabotage the entire underground surveillance network. I suppose we can liberate you in exchange, you and everyone here contributes to our efforts." Yushiro proposed.
"Damn. That's an offer I cannot refuse. Fine, we will help you. But keep that ugly wrench away from me." Mauzer replied pointing at Tamayo who was unconscious.
"How did you knock her unconscious?" Yushiro asked.
A special type of perfume that can put anyone to sleep if they get near me. Nobody can beat me as long as I can get close!" Mazuer answered.
Yushiro picks up Tamayo. The saboteurs with their new allies continue to make there way to the main base.
Somewhere
Kamanue panics as he knows that the saboteurs will be arriving shortly.
"N-n-no way." Kamanue mutters.
As Kamanues anxiety worsens. Kikyo places her hand on Kamanues shoulder.
"I'm not too late. I brought backup." Kikyo said.
Kamanue turns around and sees that Kikyo has brought Susamaru, Yahaba, Milunka, Zhukov, and Wakuraba.
"G-great. Let my skeletons and bones do the work. If they fail, then Kikyo, you and the others take them down. If you somehow fail. I will finish them off. They cannot possibly handle the combined might of this plan." Kamanue replied with a tad bit of confidence.
"So, you still have a secret force of skeleton limbs out there monitoring them. I noticed you modeled them after the eyes on my hands. Good choice." Yahaba praised.
"Wait. One of those kids is the last Uchiha alive. I bet he has a sharingan. Once the vision in your eyes gives out. We can replace those eyes with his sharingan." Susmaru replied.
Milunka grabs a book out of a duffel bag.
"It will also work out for us because the king cannot stand being near that man. I bet it's because his Aura is repulsive as according to Archie many years ago in one of his books, before the fall of the Uchiha. "Their Aura was irritating to Gurkinn, he had never felt this feeling before. The Uchiha had never once wronged Gurkinn in any way. Yet Gurkinn felt immediate and near overwhelming disgust in the presence of the clan. The Aura of the clan was stronger than anyone else's in this village. It is certainly unusual for a clan with no possible way of training or awareness in the power of aura to have a stronger aura than those around them. " Milunka explained.
"So basically Uchiha Aura sucks. Got it." Susamaru replied.
"I cant wait til I gain my next kekkei genkai. I'm going to be unstoppable once I take his sharingan." Wakuraba added.
"How are we supposed to kill them? They are all demons, aren't they?" Zhukov asked.
"N-not necessarily. The pink haired girl somehow managed to dodge Gyutaros attack. Plus, I equipped all of my skeletons with nichirin swords. " Kamanue answered.
"It would be a smart idea. But, you forgot that those Konoha shinobi could easily use those swords against us." Yahaba replied.
"O-oh right. Sorry." Kamanue apologized meekly.
"Your spinelessness is annoying. Quit being such a gutless pussy." Zhukov replied.
"Why must you be such an asshole?" Yahaba was annoyed with Zhukov's behavior.
"Because those who are mentally strong have limitless potential. Kamanue has always been a spineless coward. When will you be a man?!" Zhukov asked, grabbing Kamanue by the neck.
"That's enough." Kikyo replied sternly.
Zhukov releases Kamanue.
"If we get distracted we will fail. And failure was never an option." Kikyo said.
"Preach sister, preach!" Susamaru replied.
Outside the main headquarters.
From an elevated position the saboteurs overlook the headquarters. It's five large metal towers (Four on the corners and one in the center connected with corridors. with millions of skeletons gathered outside of it.
"We gotta retreat. There aint no chance in hell we are able to get past them." Shannon said.
"We will just ride my rock dragons and ride right through them." Yushiro replied.
"But notice how strange this is. The skeletons are clustered together. What is their plan?" Tamayo asked.
"They must have something planned. But we can't afford to stand around. If we are going to sabotage this entire network then we must do it now." Kurenai replied.
Tamayo looks up and stares at the ceiling.
"I have an idea. Since this place is shaped like a dome. We climb up the walls using our chakra, and make it to the ceiling. We will crawl until we make it to the roof of the main tower then Yushiro will summon a rock dragon and that will bring us to the roof. Then depending on the situation we will act accordingly." Tamayo explained.
As they climb the walls Kamanue is about to activate an attack but Zhukov grabs his arm.
"Let them in. It's time you become a man." Zhukov demanded.
"B-but if we let them in. We could lose." Kamanue replied.
"It doesn't matter. Let them in or I'm going to rip off all your limbs for the next couple of hours." Zhukov threatened.
"There is no changing Zhukovs mind. Besides, a fight would be kind of nice, especially against Kakashi of the sharingan. Yahaba said.
"Fine." Kamanue replied.
Kamanue creates a skeleton out of bones he generated over his body.
"Give the order. Let them in. Direct the crowd to the colosseum." Kamanue ordered.
"Yes, my lord." The skeleton replied.
Back on the outside.
The saboteurs make it to the ceiling. Whilst clinging for dear life. Yushiro removes one hand from the ceiling, bites his own palm drawing blood, and weaves hand signs.
A dragon made of rock rises from the ground causing many skeletons to be launched in the air and subsequently fall back to the ground. The rock dragon is slightly shorter than the ceiling.
"Get on my head." The dragon said.
The saboteurs fall onto the dragon.
"Hold on tight because I'm going to tear these ugly towers down." The dragon said.
"Hold on." Yushiro replied.
Yushiro uses a camera to take pictures of the towers in order to use this as evidence to prove these towers indeed existed.
"Take them down!" Yushiro ordered.
The rock dragon swings its tail into the building and smashes the corridors with its head causing the saboteurs to hang on for dear life with the aid of chakra.
On the ground.
The aura-suns were buried under rubble. Zhukov with his raw strength breaks the rubble in two and frees himself. Zhukov then frees the other Aura-Suns.
"I'll take care of this." Susamaru said, manifestIng two temari balls.
"Hold on. We need to take them alive. Killing them won't benefit anyone." Yahaba replied.
"They think just because they destroyed the headquarters they have deactivated the surveillance network. The limbs of skeletons and bones those skeletons have made are stocked elsewhere. The skeletons are at the coliseum. So, let them go." Kamanue said.
"What are you fucking crazy?! We need to turn them into the authorities."Wakuraba replied.
"Chance isn't going to punish us. He will just pretend to have this surveillance network shut down but in reality it's still up and running. If they turn those pictures in, it's not going to matter much. Since we have control over everybody since everybody is a demon and under our control. No ones going to start a revolution or anything because they love the Aura-Sun monarchy. Civil unrest would just distract them from our end goal after all. They wont do anything and if they try anything, authoritarian measures will be used." Kamanue explained.
"Finally something good came out of your mouth. Change of plans. Let them go." Zhukov ordered.
Back on the dragon
"We did it!" Lee celebrated.
"Hold on. There is more than just Kamanue here, Lady Tamayo. Zhukov, Susamaru, Yahaba, Wakurba, and Kikyo are here." Yushiro alerted, looking away from his spyglass.
"Oh my, why would they be here? Yahaba hates disgusting places like this. And they don't have any real reason to be here. Unless they knew we were coming. Was there a surveillance system outside?" Tamayo pondered.
"Lady Tamayo. They are just standing there. The hotheads like Susamaru and Zhukov should be attacking us. Let's retreat while we have a chance."Yushiro suggested.
"Fine. Rock dragon. Please bring us out of here." Tamayo requested.
"Don't move. Or ill shoot."
Milunka is behind Tamayo with her rifle aimed at the back of her head.
"How? She just appeared out of nowhere." Naruto thought to himself.
"Rock dragon. Bring us down. Milunka has us cornered." Tamayo said.
The rock dragon lowers onto the ground and Milunka escorts the saboteurs to the coliseum.
"Welcome prisoners! I'm itching for a fight so I'm going to briefly explain the rules. This coliseum is large and your goal is to escape within 30 minutes. 3, 2, 1! BEGIN!" Zhukov shouted.
