Severus was watching his niece. He enjoyed the summer away from Hogwarts so much more now he had her in his life again. He watched his goddaughter slowly descend the stairs.

"Did you have a good sleep hatchling?" he asked her, her head snapped up as she heard his voice. It filled him with warmth to watch the smile on her face, the excitement to see him.

"Uncle Severus!" she cried running down the stairs and hugging him tightly.

"Would you like some breakfast?" he asked her, she nodded.

"Will you help me?" he asked.

"Yes," she beamed standing beside him.

"I would like you to grab the eggs from the fridge, then I would like you to get kale, tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms."

"We are having omelettes Uncle Sev?"

"Yes. Now watch how I cut them," he said, the little brunette paid attention.

The two finished their breakfast, Severus took the little girls plate and began to wash the dishes.

"What would you like to do today? Shall we practice reading, or perhaps we could do some baking for your father and Uncle Remus?"

"Oh, can we make a matcha cake. Daddy likes that. Oh, and Uncle Remus a chocolate cake.

"I am aware of your uncle's addiction to chocolate." Severus smiled. "Shall we make it a shape?"

"Oh yeah, and icing!"

"Well then, let us begin."

The two worked, he showed her how to weight the ingredients, and mixed the batter. Once the two cakes were in the oven, Severus turned to the little girl.

"Perhaps we should do some schoolwork? While we wait,"

Mim rushed and got her books from the study, then raced back to sit beside her godfather.

"Can we do English?"

"Of course, if you get stuck feel free to ask me," he said, before picking up a book and reading himself. After she completed her English and her Maths homework, he rewarded her with picking a movie to watch. Around halfway through his goddaughter fell asleep on his lap. He turned off the film and was planning to put on something else when a slow and stiff Remus descended the stairs.

"Ah, Remus how are you feeling?"

"Sore. But that invention seems to be working." He smiled.

"There are some surprises for you in the kitchen."

Remus frowned, but Severus ignored the other man and went back to watching his goddaughter sleep, stroking her hair back from her face.

With a grin on his face, and a large slice of chocolate cake on his plate, the werewolf sat beside him.

"Thank you," he said gratefully. "It seems the two of you had a fun… and productive day." He noticed the books on the table, then smiled at the sleeping girl.

"Daddy, can I start a new class?"

Tony looked up from his book to look at the nine-year-old.

"You sure? You don't want to give yourself too much work."

"Yeah, I'm almost finished all the math stuff, and the world literature. I reckon another month and I can do the final exam."

Tony smiled at how adorable she sounded. He had noticed her accent shift towards a 50/50 blend of American and English one over the years, but hearing the little half and half variations in her speech always made him smile.

"If you feel like you got this, then go for it, Kiddo, what is the class."

"I want to do this one it's called EnviroScience," she pointed it out to her father.

"We'll find someone who can teach it too you." He said as he scanned the criteria. "Maybe I could do that… I'll look into it, Munchkin," he kissed the top of her head.

Tony was on a business trip in South Africa, when Mim had a performance with her drama club. She didn't want to miss it. So the group had agreed that Nana Peggy would stay over and take care of her for the three weeks he would be gone. They were three days in and the two were sitting by the TV. Mim looked out at the ocean view before turning to the older woman.

"Nana?" she looked up at the older woman. Peggy paused in her knitting to look at the nine-year-old.

"What can I do for you Chicken?"

"You fought in World War Two, right? My history Tutor wants me to write about family in the war."
"Yes,"
"Can you tell me about you, Grandpa Howard, and Captain America?" she asked. The older woman smiled, as memories of their time together flooded through her.

"Of course," she said softly, she tapped the sofa beside her. The little girl obediently sat beside her with what she had so far.

"We will get photos and letters tomorrow. Let me see what you have so far," she said. Mim went through the things the internet and JARVIS had been able to tell her. Showing her the pictures, she had gotten from Stark Industries archives of them transforming Steve Rodgers into Captain America. What her Nana didn't know is that this project wasn't due until three months' time. Mim however, knowing her father's feelings on the fallen hero wanted to get the project done while he was away. He had never said anything bad about Steve Rodgers, but Mim had overheard the adults talking about how her Grandpa has spent a lot of time looking for him.

How Dad felt like he cared more about Captain America than him. She couldn't imagine feeling like that. Or being away from him for so long. It was bad enough when he went away for a little while, she would feel awful if he was away for months.

He made her feel so loved, and she didn't want to make him feel sad, but bringing up Steve Rodgers too.

As Stark Industries realised new technologies, Tony would often go on talk shows. This time he was in Britain, and he brought his daughter along. They had arranged for the little girl to come out and sit with the group on the sofa including Courtney Cox who she was a big fan of.

"I hear that we have a very smart, very kind little girl in your dressing room."

"You heard correct,"

"She's backstage right now, can we see her backstage?" he asked the crew. The TV revealed a camera, where she was sitting finishing off her physics homework, to hand in once they got back to California. One of the crew nodded at her to let her know she was on screen. She puts the bookmark in and gives a little wave.

"Hey Honey, how's the homework?" Tony asked his daughter.

"Good, I've nearly finished."

"What you going to do after you've finished it?" Graham asked her.

"Uh, I was thinking my ancient history essay on Hatshepsut the female pharaoh,"

"Oh just Hatshepsut," he said to the audience, in an impressed 'huh' voice. "Now Mim, how would you feel about coming out here with us on the sofa?" he turned to the crew by the cameras. "Can we get her some non-alcoholic champagne?"

"Ok," she said, putting her book down. A female crew member walked into shot guiding her.

"She'll be here in a minute. Now Tony. We have to ask." He said looking back at the young father. How have you of all people - given your earlier years - Master parenting?"

"I wouldn't say mastered, but my main thing. Don't talk to kids like their stupid, or that you know better. Give them a choice between two options, you can have a tantrum and go to bed early with no books or TV or you can take some deeps breaths explain why you are upset, and we can talk about it. Never use food as a weapon, if she ever does get sent to bed, I'll bring food up."

"Oh, oh. Hold on she's ready. Now I want everyone to give her a round of applause when I call her through." He cleared this throat. "The studious star, and global treasure Mimosa Stark!"

The crowd erupted.

"Ohh! Ohhh!" he did his excited greeting as she walked towards them. He hugged her and kissed both of her cheeks, before gesturing for her to sit besides her father.

"Now Mim, I hear you have a favourite Friend's character. Can you tell me who that is?"
"Monica," she said quietly looking at Courtney Cox. The actress smiled at the little girl.

"What do you like about Monica?" Courtney asked her.

"I like that, she is still an amazing person despite the facts that she has had to face so much hardship. She was treat really badly by her parents, mocked for her coping mechanism for that. She found a heathier coping mechanism, lost the weight. Found a job she loved. She is inspirational."

"Wow," Graham said, as the crowd applauded her.

"Can I give you a hug?" Courtney asked her. She nodded, hugging Monica on the Graham Norton Show!

The little girl ran down the stairs, to where her father was sitting reading a science journal. As he heard her approaching, he looked up and smile.

"Daddy, I went through my clothes, and I have some stuff that is too small."
"Hmmm, you have grown about twenty feet." He said looking her up and down. "Sure kiddo, lets go."

The two put the chosen items into boxes and got into the car. They called the shelter telling them they were on their way, to inform the women and children that they weren't in any danger. As they pulled into the parking lot, they were both surprised when they saw a pack of reporters nearby. He frowned as he parked up.

"Come on then, Munchkin," he tapped her leg before he got out of the car. Mim knew where there were paparazzi she had to wait until someone she knew let her out before trying to leave the car. As her father emerged, they swarmed towards them.

"Tony! Mim!"
"Tony! Tony!"

"Mim, why are giving away your things? " The reporter asked.

"It's the right thing to do I don't need them. Someone else does." She said matter-of-factly.

"Is this the first time you have brought your clothes here Mim?"
"No, I have once before. But we rotate shelters."
"How long have you been giving away your clothes and toys?"

"Uh since I was five, I want you all to not say the location of the shelter. This is here to protect women and children who are fleeing domestic violence. You should not be advertising the area."

"So, if you would excuse us," Tony gestured for them to clear the way, and they made their way into the building with the stuff to help the children inside…

The Starks spent their millennium new years in Bern, Swizerland. Tony gave a speech, and the group were enjoying the after party. The high ceilings, the music blaring, and if you looked closely in the corner there was a 10-year-old girl, in a lavender spaghetti strapped dress talking to a German art professor. Who in turn looked rather rattled and amazed at the young girl speaking to him about the complexities of Frida Kahlo in his own language. Happy standing protectively by her side. The art professor said goodbye to her and told her how wonderful it had been to met her. Then the little girl saw a familiar face. She took Happy's hand and rushed towards the Japanese man she had met two years ago in Sendai with her father.

"Good evening, Mr Makano. How are you finding Bern?"

"Hello again, Miss Stark, you have grown since I last saw you." He smiled down at the young girl.

"Thank you, I am tall enough for all of the rides now, Dad took me a few months ago to Florida. It was amazing!"

The Japanese businessman chuckled.

"I am glad you enjoyed it little one." The two continued, to talk for another ten minutes before he was called away to discuss a deal. As count down creeped closer, Tony made his way back to his daughter, getting the card details from some potential future collaborations. The group celebrated the new millennium together…

And into the books we go! I am excited to see how much changes with Mim's environment growing up vs Harry's. I have most of the big stuff plotted out, what to keep and what to alter, but I am excited to go on this journey with you all
