The bright lights of three motorcycles half blinded us.
"You blokes want those cards back," one of the guys said, his accent wad Australian, what was he doing mixed up with magic and realms?
"Yeah," Joey called out.
"They're mine!" Yugi said.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but they serve a new master now… Pharaoh,"
My eyes widened; they know. Then…
"You work for him," I said as calmly as I could, the flash of the man with green hair and different coloured eyes flashed in my mind, the heat from the fire.
"That's right, yer highness," The Ozzie said giving me a mocking bow.
"Where is he?" I yelled. "Where is the man with heterochromia?"
"Memories are returning I see," the gruff voice of the middle guy commented. They rode off.
I threw a locator spell at them, and then summoned five monsters.
"May as well take advantage of the current state. Get on." I said jumping onto my amazoness tiger. Yugi changed into Yami.
"Let's ride," he said.
We raced through the streets following them to an industrial part of town, when they stopped in a shipyard, the workers clearly gone for that day.
"Figures they'd lead us to this dump," Joey muttered looking around.
We heard voices.
"Who's there. Show yourself!" Yami ordered.
"I'm right above you Pharaoh," a new voice said.
"Hey why don't you come down here and face us like a man," Joey yelled at him.
"Very well," he said jumping from the crane, "I'll make this short. I possess something that you want, the three Egy–"
"That you stole," I corrected him raising my staff at him, my eyes narrowing.
"Even with your magic, you can't force me to give them back, your highness." He said to me. "The only way is to duel me, as you have something I want."
Flashes of the fire came into my mind, people dropping to the floor, by some invisible force.
"Yami, don't. We can take him." I pleaded.
"But can he take the fall," the man gestured above. We saw the other three bikers and they had someone tied up behind them they, dragged the figure forward.
"Dad!" Yugi and I shouted. Yugi, transparent flew up to check on him. I pointed my staff at the guy.
"Release him now!" I snarled.
"Sorry, your highness. No can do," the ozzy said. "So, what'll it be? A duel or Daddy dearest takes a tumble of the side of the building."
"All right!" Yami bellowed. "I will duel you."
The duel began and he played a card called the Orichalcos. A sickly familiar green engulfed them in dome. We were thrown back as it pushed out from behind Yami.
"My friends!" Yami shouted, he tried to reached us but was unable to get through the seal.
"The Seal of Orichalcos prevents us from exiting, and all outsiders from entering its sacred boundaries. When the duel is over only the victor may penetrate the border, but the loser can never leave. His soul remains locked inside the seal. You'll soon –"
"–Yeah. No. That doesn't work for us actually." I growled, getting back to my feet charging at the sickly familiar green around the dome. As I connected with the barrier and unpleasant charge – the physical representation to nails on a chalkboard – ran through me. It shot me back to where the others were getting up.
"Mana!" Yami called coming back to the edge, the eye on his forehead as the puzzle glowed. However, the light dimmed, the mark disappeared. The seal remained.
"What's this?"
"The Orichalcos existed long before your puzzle. Your toy is useless." He told us. "And your victory is hopeless. Sorry, but in here the advantage is mine –"
"–Realise him!" I ordered him, pointing my staff. "I may not be able to get inside, but if you and your evil magic do anything to him. it won't be able to save you."
"Well, well, well." The ozzy crowed. We looked up at him. "I am going to guess you were the one who people were afraid of back in the day – yer highness." He laughed.
The duel continued, I tried to think of a way that I could help. It wasn't until Valkuyra the mango warrior, then a played Obelisk however the Orichalcos magic didn't play well with the God. They kept playing until he played me and by playing the magic of dark fusion, Yami wiped out all of the monsters. The duel was over. The circle began to close. Realising Yami and Yugi from it's grasp. It shrank until only the guy was still in it before it disappeared, with the last of his strength he threw Obelisk to the others and collapsed on the ground. We all stood for a moment stunned before we realised the bikers were about to leave.
"Hold on," Yami yelled after them. "Give me back the Egyptian God Cards!"
"Sorry, you didn't hold up your end of the bargain, you had to defeat all of us, not just one of us. I'll tell you what for being such a good sport. There is a gift."
He pushed Dad over the building, I used my staff to create a magic net to catch him, lowering him to the ground. Yugi's spirit rushed to him along with Téa and Tristan.
"I'll give yah a gift!" Joey called out to them. "Come down here and get it. It's the gift that keeps on giving again and again."
"Or…" I said taking out my staff. "I can go up," I flying spell, shooting myself up towards them, the tall blond grabbed me, by the arm before my feet could even touch the ground.
"Let her go," Yami bellowed at them. The one on the side, with short, cropped hair grabbed my staff from my hand, causing my body to drop. This blonde's grip on my wrist the only thing stopping me from tumbling back to the ground.
"Mana!"
I took a deep breath and summoned my staff from his hand. All their eyes widened; I sent a current down my body. He yelled in pain; I repeated my flight spell.
"I suggest you go back to the ground before we strike," the ozzy said as the other one was supporting the blond, as he dropped in pain. I zapped all three as they ran off for good measure before lowering myself back to the ground. My eyes locked with Yami's as I landed back on my feet. He gave me a small nod before he walked over to his opponent.
"Wait be careful, Yugi," Téa said cautiously.
"I don't think that guy's getting up any time soon," Tristen said.
"I have a bad feeling about this Yami," said picking up the card with his trapped face. "But where does this power come from?"
I saw Téa pick up a glowing necklace.
"Check this out Yami," she said. "It was around the guy's neck,"
I walked over, as soon as I saw the green crystal, I yelped jumping back.
"What is it, Mana?" Téa said looking between the necklace and me cautiously.
"You recognise it?" Yami said putting a comforting arm around me. I nodded.
"The guy who burnt down my village… he had a necklace like this. He was zapping people with a light the same colour as the seal… they would just drop. My father…"
I whisper covering my mouth as the newly discovered memories of bright lights, screams and the blazing heat overwhelmed me. Watching my father drop. Téa put a hand on my shoulder, I smiled at her and then looked over at Dad.
"So… er… We have a lot to explain," Yugi said sheepishly.
"But first let's get you home," I said softly. "Uh, maybe we should call Seto…"
Seto and his limo arrived within fifteen minutes, and we made our way back to the game shop to get Grandpa, before making our way back to Seto's mansion. As soon as we arrive we walked to the large sitting room, as Dad sat down someone got him a hot chocolate. Once we were all together and we had encouraged him to take a few sips… We began to explain everything…
I thought I'd change up some of the stuff, I also don't love Rex and Weevil so if I can cut some of their stuff out then great :p So now their Dad knows everything, and they are on their way to save the world… again before they can unlock their memories and pick up where they left off in 5000BCE.
See you all next time xx
