Out in the streets, Yanma and Himeno watched as their unlikely saviour stood before them. "You two stay back.", he insisted. "I know how to handle these two."

"On a normal day, yes.", Killmantis laughed, as he held up the Mantis Medal, as Beezack did likewise with the Drago fly Medal. But can you handle us with these enhancing our powers?"

In a second, Kengo delivered a karate chop that knocked both medals out of the hands of the B-Crushers and into his own. "I'd say that he can.", Beezack commented, nervously.

Both Yanma and Himeno were shocked. "He's amazing.", the latter noted. "I should hire him for my bodyguard."

"Looks like he was right to tell us to stay out of this.", Yanma added.

Kengo then initiated his attack with his Kuwaga Spear. "Gravity Crash!" The blow knocked both Kill,antis and Beezack backwards in an explosion, before deciding to retreat. Kengo then turned around to the pair he had rescued. "Chou Jukkou Kaijou!" He reverted to normal. "Now then, I think you two came through from another dimension, if I'm not mistaken."

The pair undid their transformations. "We'll honestly take that as our explanation for being here.", Yanma, said in response. "Can you provide us with a way back home?"

"I can't say we can.", Kengo shook his head. "But if you come with me back to Beetle Base, I'm sure we can figure something out."

As if on cue, a message came through on his Command Voicer. It was from Kouhei. "Kengo, Sophie and I have found two guys who claim they fell through the dimension hole with a few friends. Be on the look out for a blonde-haired girl, a man in a blue greaser jacket and an old dude in Edo era duds."

Kengo took a glance at Yanma and Himeno before responding. "I think I've found two of them." He then ended the communication and turned to the pair. "I think my allies have found two of your friends."

"Eh!", Himeno gasped. "Really?"

"Well that will save us some time in searching for those raccoon brains.", Yanma noted. "We'd better get back to your base."

Up in the skies, Kaguragi found himself under attack by Melzard's Gidorbas. "Wow, these monsters aren't Bugnarok, but they're just as persistent.", he fumed. Turning God Hachi around, he then rammed its stinger into two of the attacking ships, destroying them both. But in pulling this manoeuvre, he became vulnerable to a second pair of Gidorbas, who caused the Shugod to come crashing to Earth on a cliff. Fortunately, Kaguragi survived, climbing out to witness the two coming at him.

"Stealth Blaster!" In an instant, the two Gidorbas were destroyed by a pair of shots from the Stealth Gyro, with Ran leaping out to join the person she had saved on the ground. "Erm, are you from another dimension?", she asked him.

"I suppose I am, given I don't have much context for this situation.", was Kaguragi's answer. "Do you think you could provide a way for me to return home?"

"Perhaps after we can do some analysis on you to discover the exact energy of the dimensional hole that brought you here.", Ran said in response. "But we'll have to do that at Beetle Base."

And back at Beetle Base, Kouhei and Sophie had returned with Gira and Rita, the former of whom was amazed by the computers in the room. "Wow, this level of technology is really amazing.", he gushed. "Yanma will be kicking himself for having missed this."

As if on cue, Yanma, Himeno and Kengo all entered the room. "So, you raccoon brains managed to avoid too much trouble then.", he commented snidely. "You've saved us the worry of look-." he was then interrupted by the sight of the computer, causing him to gush even harder than Gira. "Wow, the crew back in N'Kosopa would kill to have gear like this."

"My friends!" Everyone turned to see Kaguragi entering the room, with Ran following not far behind. "Oh I'm glad to see that all of you are alive and well."

"Cut the crap, Kaguragi.", Himeno slapped him without missing a beat. "You're only glad we're still alive so you can continue to play both sides between us and Racles."

"That is unproven.", Rita stated. "Nevertheless, he would be unable to do such an act if we are unable to return to Chikyuu."

Kouhei was confused by this statement. "But, you're already on Earth (Chikyu)?"

Ran quickly realised the meaning of the statement. "They must mean their own version of Earth. The parallel dimension they hail from."

"That would be correct." Orbs of light coalesced into the form of the Elder Guru. "The dimension that these people originate from is one known as Chikyuu. It is one that shares a strange hidden history with our Earth."

Rita ran over and began stroking the Insect World Elder's beard. "Ah, you're so cute." Then she took out a plush yeti from her pocket and adopted a falsetto tone. "But Ri-tan, you can't take him home with you. He has his own home in this world." She then returned to her normal tone, sighing. "I know, Moffun. It's tragic." She then realised she was being watched and screamed into the sky.

The 4 B-Fighters were left confused by the whole business. "Is she normally like this?", Sophie asked.

"Not that we know of.", Gira answered her.

"I have been communing with the Insect Spirits given off by the ones who brought you here.", Guru informed everyone. "They say that the Astral Saber contains the story of the true link between our worlds."

Sophie held up the aforementioned sword, which floated into the air, as a mysterious melody began to play and an unearthly voice permeated the air. "My name is Astral Saber.", the voice began. "I will reveal the story connecting this world with the world of the Shugods. Millions of years ago, a war between the Will of Light and the Will of Darkness began, their armies doing battle across dimensions. During one such battle, a fragment of. The Will of Darkness was torn from it, falling through the dimensions until it landed in a feudal dimension, its presence corrupting the eggs of the local insects, giving birth to a new lifeform.

"Bugnarok.", Yanma was the first to realise. "So that's where they came from."

The Astral Saber continued. "But, the Will of Light, sensing this new threat to creation, gave its energies to help the people of that world create a brand new mechanical lifeform, that could not only defend the people from their new enemies, but separate its power into multiple weapons that could allow humans to channel their power. And at the end of the battle, the evil was sealed away and the champion of that world split into several component lifeforms that became the world's permanent guardians."

Kaguragi had a realisation. "Then, that champion would be… King-Ohger."

"So that's the origins of the Shugods.", Yanma added. "So I'm also guessing this war has something to do with those medals those bug guys were after."

"We can fill you in on that.", Kengo took over. "Melzard is a descendant of the Will of Darkness trying to carry on its mission of destruction, while the insects that provide us B-Fighters with power and the Astral Saber and Insect Medals were created by the Will of Light so that we could have a fighting chance against them."

"So the reason the Medals came to us was because they sensed the essence of the Shugods… they're distant 'cousins' of a sense… and moved towards them.", Himeno realised. "And with the two energies vying for the right to empower us, they cancelled each others' powers out until separated."

"But now, we've given the Medals back to these people and we can work on getting home.", Gira stated, before realising something. "Kaguragi, you did give back a Medal, right?"

Kaguragi shook his head, a sad expression forming on his face. "I'm sorry, everyone.", he blubbered. "I was captured by the enemy, and they took the Medal away from me before I could escape them, and I didn't think to retrieve it."

Rita took a good look at Kaguragi's expression. "He's telling the truth.", she determined. "It's not easy to fake this kind of regret. So it seems we'll have to fight against Melzard and the Sanagim that brought us here for it."

As if on cue, the image of Gaohm manifested itself in front of everyone. "Hear this, accursed insects. I have the last of the Insect Medals you require to control Kabuterios.", he announced. "So I'm challenging you to a duel to gain control of all of them, and the Astral Saber. Your two groups will meet with mine at daybreak tomorrow for this battle. Fail to make an appearance, and innocents will die." The message then ended.

"Danger! Danger!", the B-Fighters' AI Bit spoke up, panicked at the image she had been shown.

"What is it, Bit?", Kouhei asked.

"That guy… that was Gaohm!", came the reply from Bit.

All of the B-Fighters present were shocked. "The guy who led the Jamahl that our Sempai fought?", Sophie stated.

"If that's the case, then we don't have much of a choice.", Kengo realised. "We have to all go out and face him. So we can stop whatever he's come back for."

"Wait a minute.", Ran realised. "At the moment, if we go in to face him as we are, we won't be at full power." She then went over to Bit's main interface. "Bit, can you get Dr. Osonai to do something for me?"

At Melzardos, Gaohm looked at the imprisoned, unconscious figure of Black Beet. "You really thought that occupying a stronger body than mine would allow you to gain an advantage." He turned away, the cell door closing. "But you forgot that the power I wielded was always greater than yours."

He soon re-entered the main room, where Melzard's complete forces were waiting. "So, you've issued your challenge to those wretched insects.", Mother noted. "How interesting, brother."

"Now we'll get to see how strong you really are.", Raija stated. "And if you live up to your own hype, or are just another pathetic weakling."

"All you have going for you is your mastery of Kuwaga Titan.", Descorpion mocked. "There's nothing to say you're a threat without it."

"I'll show you exactly what I'm capable of.", Gaohm stated, his voice void of emotion, as he walked off to prepare.

And so, the morning came, with the 4 B-Fighters and 5 Monarchs making their way to a quarry, where Gaohm, Raija, Miolra, Dezzle, Descorpion, Mukadelinger, Killmantis and Beezack were waiting for them. "So, you all saw fit to show up.", Mukadelinger laughed. "You must be eager to meet your demises."

"We're not going to stop until we get back that Medal.", Gira declared. "And then me and my allies will return to our own world." He took out his OhgerCaliber, with the others following suit. "Let's go everyone."

"Right.", they all nodded.

The 5 monarchs took out their OhgerCalibers, pulling the appropriate switches. Kuwagata!/Tombo!/Kamakri!/Papillion/Hachi! "Royal Raiment!" They then pulled the dragonfly, mantis, butterfly, bee and stag beetle switches in order. You are the king! You Are The King! YOU ARE THE KING!

"The hot-blooded king!" KuwagataOhger!

"The upsurged king!" TomboOhger!

"The wilful queen!" KamakiriOhger!

"The serious king!" PapillionOhger!

"The powerful lord!" HachiOhger!

Gira then concluded the call, with the others joining him. "We are… the Ohsama Sentai!"

Kouhei, Kengo and Ran then pulled out their Command Voicers, with Sophie doing likewise with her Insect Commander, and inserted their Input Cards. "Chou Jukkou!" Within seconds, all of them had been transformed.

"B-Fighter Kabuto!"

"B-Fighter Kuwaga!"

"B-Fighter Tentou!"

"The Warrior of Flowers, B-Fighter Ageha!"

"So, there are 9 insects this time.", Dezzle commented. "It won't be a problem."

"Hey!" A shot was fired at the villains, knocking them back as three newcomers, outfitted in blue, red and orange Insect Armour themed after a dragonfly, a firefly and a cicada. "Make that 12 insects.", the first of this new group stated, before they all joined the roll call. "The Warrior of Wind, B-Fighter Yanma!"

"The Warrior of Light, B-Fighter Genji!"

"The Warrior of Sound, B-Fighter Min!"

The other B-Fighters were happy to see their allies. "You're here!", Ran cried out.

"It doesn't matter how many of you there are.", Killmantis growled.

"Yeah.", Beezack added. "Nothings changed. There's just three more people for us to kill."

"We'll see about that.", Kengo stated. "Let's go, Yanma."

"Right.", both the monarch and the B-Fighter from America said in universe. They then turned to each other. "Hey! He was talking to me."

"I'll take both of you along for this.", Kengo stated. "Let's just go."

And thus, a battle between the two sides began in earnest.
