The next morning Sarah woke up around 9AM. When she woke up she jolted up and looked around the bedroom. She realized that it wasn't her bedroom, but that it was Matt's bedroom. She also realized that the sheets were silk. It probably calms Matt's senses. Sarah then got up and slided the door. She saw Matt in the kitchen making breakfast. "Good morning.", Matt said with a smile on his face. "Good morning to you too.", Sarah said as she walks over to the kitchen. "What are you making?", Sarah asked. "Some mac 'n cheese.", Matt said with a grin on his face. Sarah gets eye wide. "That's so sweet Matt. But you shouldn't had to make—", Sarah gets interrupted by Matt. "I insist.", Matt said with a grin on his face. Sarah smiles at him. She's so touched by Matt's generosity. He's so sweet. "Okay—okay.", Sarah said a bit breathlessly. "You can sit down. Breakfast is going to be done in two minutes. Coffee is already done.", Matt said. "Okay.", Sarah said as she walked over to the table. Sarah sat down and waited for Matt to join her for breakfast.
Few moments later Matt sat down with Sarah. They ate their breakfast in silence. "You're a good cook. But my mac 'n cheese is better.", Sarah said teasingly. Matt laughed. "Then I would have to test that theory of yours.", Matt said teasingly. "When you drop by my place next time in your devil suit.", Sarah said with a grin on her face. "Sure.", Matt said with a grin on his face. They knew that after breakfast they had important matters to discuss. They had to create a plan on how to take down Mike Layne and Dogs Of Hell. They also had to figure out how The Yakuza made a deal with the Dogs Of Hell.
"So what are the facts that we know about the Dogs OF Hell and The Hand.", Matt asked as he sat down on the couch beside Sarah. "Well we know that the Dogs Of Hell made a deal with The Hand. Seems like Dogs Of Hell promote The Hand's heroin while The Hand helped them with their problems. Dogs Of Hell lost a lot of their members due to The Punisher few months ago. They needed new recruits, new members, so The Hand realized this and gave them a lot of money. The money would go to new recruits of the Dogs Of Hell.", Sarah said. "Yeah. That would make sense.", Matt said. "It was a win-win situation for both criminal organizations. I think now that The Hand has heard that the Dogs Of Hell didn't kidnap George Walker's wife, meaning that they will turn on Dogs Of Hell, so that some of the evidence won't be traced back to them.", Sarah said. "Yeah. But once many members of Dogs Of Hell are arrested, they will testify for a lighter sentence. Then the D.A, judges, politicians and cops will turn their attention to The Yakuza aka The Hand.", Matt said. "That would be good. But most of the people in this city don't know The Hand's true plans and goals for this city.", Matt said. "I thought you knew what their plans and goals are for this city.", Sarah said with furrowed brows. "I know about the Black Sky. Their history, but that's about it.", Matt said. "Doesn't your mentor know about them and their history?", Sarah asked. "Maybe he knows more about them and their history, maybe he doesn't. Him and I haven't talked since, you know.", Matt said as he sighs. "Oh. I'm sorry. I thought that you were in contact with him. I didn't—", Sarah was interrupted by Matt. "Sarah. It's alright. I should've told you sooner that me and Stick weren't in contact.", Matt said reassuringly. "Alright. I don't blame you that you didn't tell me that you and Stick weren't contacting each other.", Sarah said reassuringly. "If you say so.", Matt said.
"What should we do now? Now that we know the truth about the Dogs Of Hell and their leader.", Matt said. "We should find out in which of his six bars are his base of operations. You should talk to Brett. Tell him to give search and arrest warrant to his police officers. They should wait a block away from other five bars. Once we find out where Mike Layne's base of operations is, you should go there, beat his henchmen and beat him up, then you give him over to Brett so that he can arrest him.", Sarah said. "That's a good plan. I believe they are still building evidence against the Dogs OF Hell and Mike Layne. Once they gather enough evidence, Brett will issue a search and arrest warrant for Mike Layne and other members of The Dogs Of Hell.", Matt said. "Yeah. After my statement last night, Brett told me that they were building evidence against Layne and other members of the Dogs Of Hell. He told me that once they gather enough evidence, he'll issue a arrest warrant against Layne and other members of the Dogs Of Hell.", Sarah said. "I think he'll issue the search and arrest warrant in the upcoming days. Maybe even tomorrow.", Matt said. "Yeah.", Sarah said. "Brett has undercover police officers near the six bars owned by the Dogs Of Hell. How do you think we will find out in which of the six bars is he hiding?", Matt said with furrowed brows. "I'll contact my friend who he's a hacker. I have a phone that's untraceable. I contact her with that phone.", Sarah said. "Oh. Did she create that phone and made it untraceable?", Matt asked with astonishment. "Yeah. She did create the phone.", Sarah said. "Cool.", Matt said. Sarah smiles at Matt. "Alright. I think we know now the plan itself.", Sarah said. "Yeah.", Matt said. "I'll take the phone and contact her. Ask her if she could track down Mike Layne's location.", Sarah said. "Alright then.", Matt said.
Foggy. Foggy. Foggy. Matt suddenly hears his phone ringing. It's Foggy calling him. Matt then took the phone from his coffee table and picked the call up. "Hey Foggy.", Matt said. "Hey Matt. I've heard what happened last night. Is Sarah with you? Is she okay.", Foggy asked at the other line of the phone call. "Yeah. She's okay. She called me last night when three thugs tried to break in her apartment. I told her to step outside of her apartment and onto the fire escape. Then I arrived, dispatched the three thugs easily. I interrogated one of them. It was the Dogs Of Hell behind the break in. They wanted her because she took pictures of one of their meetings. Brett arrived, Sarah gave the statement, she told him that she works with me, well with Daredevil. We told him what've been investigating. He told us to call either one of us if find out something suspicious about other criminal organizations. Sarah's here with me. She's currently talking with her friend about tracking down the location of leader of Dogs Of Hell. She's here in my apartment until the arrest of the Dogs Of Hell.", Matt said. "That's good. You rescued her. Ypu brought her to your apartment. Seems to me that—", Foggy got interrupted. "Foggy. There's nothing going on between me and Sarah.", Matt said. "Sure buddy. Tell her hi from me.", Foggy said. "I will.", Matt said. "Tell Marci I said hi.", Matt said. "So what are you going to do now?". Foggy asked. "We already created a plan. Just waiting on Brett after he issues a search and arrest warrant and then we can find him the leader of the Dogs Of Hell.", Matt said. "That's good Matt. You, Brett, Sarah will take the Dogs Of Hell down. I'm sure of it!", Foggy said with a smile on his face. "Thanks Foggy. appreciate bit. I need to go now.", Matt said. "Alright buddy. Talk to you soon.", Foggy said. "Bye Foggy", Matt said. "bye Matt.", Foggy said. He then hung up on the other side of the phone call.
"Foggy says hi.", Matt said as he sat down back on the couch. "Greet him the next time you talk to him.", Sarah said. "Sure.", Matt said. "Alright I'll go now and speak with my friend.", Sarah said as she stood up. "I'll go and make us some lunch.", Matt said as he got up. He then walked over to the kitchen. He then started to prepare himself for making lunch.
Elsewhere Mike was pacing in his office. He was angry at his henchmen. He knew that the police were just preparing to storm into his bars and arrest his henchmen. He didn't own a warehouse where he could hide. He knew that he had to make a plan that involved him escaping the city. He could go underground until the situation calmed down. He knew that he couldn't turn to The Yakuza for help. Because they already found out what happened and were looking to distance themselves from him and the Dogs Of Hell. He thought that he was on his own, that he had to create a plan. He also now had to prepare himself and his henchmen against the police. He had to issue orders to Jake and Chris.
Sometime later Mike heard a knock on the door. "Come in.", Mike said. Jake and Chris entered Mike's office. "You wanted to see us boss.", Chris said. "Yeah.", Mike said. "What did you want to talk about?", Jake asked. "About or bars and what we need to do now.", Mike said. "Alright boss. Let's hear your plans.", Chris said. "We have to get our weapons from the bar's basement. By now the cops have gotten a lot of information about us, the Dogs Of Hell. They're looking for a opportunity to storm our bars and arrest me, you two and the rest of my men. We have to defend ourselves and our bars. They need to know to not mess with us. We can initiate a standoff between the cops and us.", Mike said. "We both get that. But shouldn't ask The Yakuza for help? They could help us out.", Jake said. "No. By now they have found out what happened. I haven't heard from them for the past few days. They are looking to distance themselves from us. I realize now that we shouldn't had let them help us. I knew that once they saw complications, would turn the other way and leave. We shouldn't had trusted The Yakuza. Because of their petty agendas over some people they have gotten us into this position. We need to get ourselves out of this mess with the cops, The Yakuza already turned their tail and ran. We have to defend ourselves and our bars from cops, SWAT, FBI, even Daredevil.", Mike said. "Good point boss. Tell us what we should do?", Jake asked. "Spread the word to other five bars, that they should close back, roof and front entrances. Tomorrow night our bars will be closed to the public. Tell every single henchmen that they should guard the entrances and the exit. The cops, the feds and SWAT teams will surround our bars. Also tell them to store their bikes in the garage and lock it up.", Mike said. "Alright boss. But shouldn't you hide out in the garage? The cops wouldn't know that you are hiding there.", Chris said. "No. The garage has weak points, The entrance, two side exits, also the door of the roof entrance is broken. The cops or SWAT teams could enter through the roof entrance. It's better for me to hide out here. The cops couldn't get through this bar. It's also our base of operations after all.", Jake said. "Alright boss.", Jake said. "What about the girl? Should we search for her.", Jake said. "No. We can't find her now. She already moved elsewhere.", Jake said. "Alright boss.", Jake said. "Spread the word about my plan to our bars. I expect them to start enacting our plan tonight.", Jake said. "Alright boss.", Chris said. "You can go now.", Mike said. Chris and Jake nodded and turned to walk towards the door. Chris opened the door and stepped outside the office. Jake then stepped outside the office and closed the door. Both of them walked in opposite directions.
The next evening Matt was sitting on the chair at his makeshift office. He was searching for any evidence about George Walker and Orion Limited. He knew that the police were still searching for George. Matt was also searching for George. He had a nagging feeling that George knew something about Orion. Matt was sure that Orion was owned by The Hand or had a connection to them after Sarah found out that they stole money from their clients, transferred the money to their bank account, then split the money and sent it to their numerous bank accounts. Matt was grateful that he met Sarah. Because without her he wouldn't found about Orion's schemes. He was comforted by her presence, her heartbeat, her warmth, her scent in his apartment. She made his apartment enjoyable. A selfish part of him wanted her to stay in his apartment. To be here in his apartment when he comes back from patrol. He knew that once she moves back to her apartment after the Dogs Of Hell are taken down. He winces at that but he will cherish every moment of Sarah being in his apartment. He realized that he might have feelings for her. But he also realizes if they get together, to be in a relationship. He wonders if it's going to change their partnership. He thinks that Sarah feels the same way about him. But will their feelings for each other change their partnership. That's what Matt worries about. Is it too soon from him to move on from Elektra. He doesn't know exactly, he knew that he loved her, but that a romantic relationship between them would never work because they were different people, they had different morals, values, plans and goals. It occurred to him that she too wouldn't want to be in a romantic relationship with him because of their clashing ideologies. Matt knew that he was together with her only for moments. She wanted that too and that was enough. They still loved and cared for each other deeply, but a relationship between them wouldn't work or so Matt thought. But with Sarah it was different. He realized that she was like him but at the same time different. She accepted both parts of him. Matt Murdock and Daredevil and she never judged him. She soothed away and comforted him when he would have nightmares. Because she was considerate, caring, loving and understanding. She would always make his day or night when he would see Sarah. When he was around her, he could relax and be calm. He knew that just with her presence, with her heartbeat, with her scent she would take his worries away. He appreciated that and he hoped he could the same for her. He also thought about kissing her. To taste her lips. He realized now that she shouldn't have pushed her away when they nearly kissed last night in the Fogwell's. But she realized and listened to him the reason why they couldn't kiss there. The spot was a good memory that turned into a painful one. He hoped that he could kiss Sarah somewhere special. He knew that the way she was flirting with him, meant that she sent him signals, but he played it off, playing with her a little bit. He realized that Sarah changed his life, was there when he was grieving, when he was broken, when his world was shattered. She picked up the pieces and rebuilt him. He appreciated that. He hoped he did the same for her. He realized that he was having feelings for Sarah.
"Hey. I found that where Mike Layne is hiding.", Sarah said as she approached Matt's table. Matt's thought were interrupted by Sarah. "Okay—okay. That's—that's good.", Matt said breathelessly. "You okay?", Sarah said as she furrowed her brows. "Yeah. Just was deep in thought.", Matt said with a smile on his face. "Alright. If you say so. I've talked with my friend. She found where Layne is hiding. Seems like his hideout is his bar and base of operations. It's on 38th and 6th.", Sarah said. "Thanks. I'll go to the 15th precinct and talk to Brett. I think by now he has figured out where Layne is hiding.", Matt said as he got up. He walked towards the chest. He opened it and took out his red and black suit and walked towards his bedroom.
Few moments later Matt walked out in his red and black suit, his helmet in his left hand. "You look sharp.", Sarah said as she eyed up and down. "Thanks.", Matt said as he grinned. "I'll go talk to Brett. Listen if he found out anything else regarding the Dogs Of Hell. I'll be back soon.", Matt said. "Aren't you going to go on a patrol tonight?", Sarah asked with furrowed brows. "Not tonight. There's going to be rain and thunder. And thunder hinders my senses.", Matt said as he put the mask on his helmet. "Okay then.", Sarah said. "I'll go now. Be back soon.", Daredevil said as he started walking up the stairs. He then opened the door, stepped on the roof and closed the door. Sarah then sat back down on the couch and started reading her book.
Daredevil is jumping and running on the rooftops of Hell's Kitchen. He was going towards the 15th precinct to talk to Brett. He had to ask him if he found out anything else about the Dogs Of Hell and their leader Mike Layne. Daredevil also had to tell him his plan. About how to take down the Dogs Of Hell and their leader Mike Layne. He knew he had to talk to Brett about the Dogs Of Hell.
Daredevil was already on the rooftop of the 15th precinct. He walked down the fire escape. As he walked down to the last floor of the precinct he knocked on Brett's window. Brett turned to his right and saw Daredevil. He got up and walked to the door. He opened the door and stepped outside on the fire escape. "I know where Mike Layne is hiding.", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. "Where?", Brett asked. "At one of his bars that serves as his base of operations. On 38th and 6th.", Daredevil said. "I knew it was that bar or the other one on 34th and 6th.", Brett said. "Have you found out the locations of his other five bars?", Daredevil asked in low deep voice. "Yeah. Just an hour ago I issued a search and arrest warrant for Mike Layne and other members of the Dogs Of Hell.", Brett said as he looked towards the grey nightsky. "Good. Have you found out anything else about them?", Daredevil asked in his low deep voice. "No. Like I've told Sarah. We've been building evidence against Layne and other members of the Dogs Of Hell for few months now. We found out about their recruitment of young people from poor parts of Hell's Kitchen. Their dealing of Yakuza's heroin. Murder, racketeering, misdemeanor, money laundering.", Brett said. "You've been building evidence against them. That's good. I have plan.", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. "What's the plan?", Brett said as he turned towards Daredevil.
"You should surround their bars with cops, SWAT teams and the FBI. You should be at their base of operations where Layne currently is. I'll go in the bar, dispatch the henchmen and then search for Layne. Once I find Layne I'm bringing him to you so that you can arrest him. If he tries to resist, I'll beat him up a bit, then bring him to you. While we finish with their main bar, you should give a signal for go to the other cops, SWAT teams and FBI agents to storm in the other five bars and arrest members of the Dogs Of Hell. What do you say?", Daredevil said. "I say that's a good idea. But why do you think I can't go in the bar and arrest Layne?", Brett asked with furrowed brows. "Because his best henchmen will be there. If you go in there it's going to be a shootout. I'll dispatch his henchmen discreetly.", Daredevil said. "I guess you're right. I think your plan is the best. So I'll go with your plan.", Brett said. "It'll be better if this mission commences tomorrow night.", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. "That's what I've planning. We'll do the mission tomorrow night.", Brett said. "Good. I'll be there.", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. He then turns towards the fire escape and walks up. Brett then opens the door to his office and walks in, then closes the door. Daredevil is on the precincts rooftop. He then runs towards the edge of the roof. Daredevil then jumps into the night.
A/N: Matt and Sarah create a plan to take down the Dogs Of Hell. Mike Layne makes plans of his own to defend his bars. Sarah finds out where Mike Layne is hiding.
