ACT II

Daredevil got back to his apartment after he talked with Brett. He opened the roof door to his apartment. He knew Sarah was sitting on his makeshift table, looking through some files. She saw him descend down the stairs. "Hi.", Sarah said as she watched Matt walk down the stairs. "Hi.", Matt said as he walked down the stairs as he took his helmet off. "What are you doing?", Matt asked as he walked towards the work table. "I put my files here today that I took with me. I'm just going through them again. I hope I'm not bothering you by sitting on your work table.", Sarah said. "You're not bothering me. You can use my work table. How many files have you got on this case?", Matt asked as he put his helmet on the work table and started taking off his alloy gloves. "Uhmmm. I made dozens of files on this case. I brought them all here because they are important. I have these same files about the case on a USB drive. Just for caution.", Sarah said. "That's smart. My files on any case are on a paper. Made from Braille.", Matt said as he put his alloy gloves on the work table beside his helmet. "I figured after I broke in your apartment.", Sarah said with a grin on her face. Matt chuckled. "I know.", Matt said. Sarah chuckled. Sarah then took Matt's mask and inspected it. "Where was your suit made?", Sarah asked. "A man named Melvin Potter made the suit and the billy clubs for me. He actually made suits for Fisk, after he threatened Melvin and the person he cares about. I made a deal with Melvin. If makes me a suit, I'll take down Fisk and he won't be able to threaten Melvin and the person he cares about.", Matt said. "You made a good choice.", Sarah said. "Thanks.", Matt said. "What's the material of the suit?", Sarah asked. "It's a near indestructible material, light as a feather, alloy gloves and indestructible billy clubs.", Matt said. "Cool.", Sarah said as she put down the mask on the work table. "Seems like you immersed yourself into the Devil Of Hell's Kitchen persona.", Sarah said grinning. Matt chuckled. "I told you. Matt Murdock and Daredevil are the same person. There's no separate personas.", Matt said. "That's why I like you Matt.", Sarah said smilling. Matt chuckled. "Really now?", Matt said teasingly. "Yep.", Sarah said with a smirk on her face. "Alright.", Matt said while chuckling.

"You should go to sleep. You're tired.", Matt said. "You're right.", Sarah said as she yawned. "We'll talk tomorrow morning about the mission.", Matt said. "Alright then. I'll go to bed.", Sarah said as she stood up. "Goodnight Matt.", Sarah said. "Goodnight Sarah.", Matt said. Sarah then walked towards the bedroom. Once she got in Matt's bedroom, she closed the sliding door and then jumped on the bed. Matt chuckled as he heard Sarah jumping on the bed. Few moments later Sarah's breath evened, her eyes closed, she drifted off to sleep.

In the living room Matt started taking off his suit. He put the suit, helmet and alloy gloves back in the chest and then he closed the chest. Matt then walked towards the bathroom. In the bathroom he took a pair of sweatpants and a t shirt. He put the clothes on and walked back towards the living room. He then sat down and then layed down on the couch. Matt was tired. He knew he wouldn't get a good nights sleep because of thunder hindering his senses. Regardless he would try to sleep. Few moments later, Matt's breathing evened out, his eyes closed. He drifted off to sleep.

The next morning Sarah woke up around 9AM. She got up and walked towards the bedroom door. She slided off the door and walked into the living room. She saw Matt making breakfast. "Good morning Matt.", Sarah said. "Good morning Sarah.", Matt said as he was making breakfast. "What's for breakfast?", Sarah asked as she walked over to the kitchen. "Mac 'n cheese and I made some coffee.", Matt said. Sarah smiled. "You're spoiling me.", Sarah said. Matt chuckled. "I just wanted to make mac 'n cheese again, so that you could change your mind about my mac 'n cheese being better than yours.", Matt said teasingly as he grinned. "I won't change my mind about my mac 'n cheese.", Sarah said as she playfully smacked Matt's arm. Matt fake pouted. "Ouch.", Matt said. "Coffee is already done.", Matt said. "Okay.", Sarah said as she turned around to take the coffee and pour it in her mug. After she poured coffee in her mug Sarah walked towards the dinning table and sat down.

As she was sitting and drinking her coffee Sarah was looking at Matt. She was looking at his face, broad chest and shoulders, muscles under his t shirt, his big forearms. Sarah ogled at him. Matt picking up on her ogling of him smirked and gazed back at her, somewhere below her chin. "Enjoying the view?", Matt asked teasingly. Sarah blushed. Her cheeks turned red. She looked away from Matt. "I—I", Sarah stuttered for words. Matt chuckled. "I don't mind you ogling at me like that.", Matt said teasingly. "Really—really?", Sarah asked stuttering as she looked back at Matt. "Yeah.", Matt said. "Noted—noted.", Sarah said as she stuttered. "Breakfast is done.", Matt said. He then walked towards the dinning table with frying pan in his right hand. He set the frying pan down and sat down.

Matt and Sarah ate their breakfast in silence. They knew that tonight was the night where they take down the Dogs Of Hell. Matt had his own agenda against them after they tried to kidnap Sarah. He knew that tonight he was going to beat every henchmen of the Dogs Of Hell to pulp. Especially their leader Mike Layne. Matt knew he was going to let the Devil out.

"So, what did you and Brett talk about last night, when you had plans for the takedown of Dogs Of Hell.", Sarah said. "I told him about our plan. How we want to approach it. He said that our plan made sense then his plan. He told me that he had already issued search and arrest warrant for many members of the Dogs Of Hell. He told me that they will surround all six bars around 9PM to 10PM.", Matt said. "Okay. That's good. Did he ask you anything about The Hand?", Sarah asked. "No he didn't. I know that they are still searching for George Walker.", Matt said. "Okay. Once this situation with the Dogs Of Hell is over I'll investigate more about Orion Limited.", Sarah said. "Good.", Matt said. "Also I'm going to be near the main bar.", Sarah said. "Sarah. It's too dangerous. That's a active police crime scene.", Matt said. "I know. But I'll watch the arrest from a distance. That's why I brought my all black clothing. Also when you finish beating up the Dogs Of Hell, you'll follow me from the rooftops to right here, your apartment.", Sarah said. "Alright. Once you see that the members of the Dogs Of Hell are arrested, you can whisper that I should follow you back here to my apartment from the rooftops.", Matt said. "Noted.", Sarah said. "I'll go now and meditate in the bedroom.", Matt said. "Wait. You meditate?", Sarah asked dumbfounded. "Yeah. It helps my injuries heal faster.", Matt said. "Cool.", Sarah said. "Yeah. I'll go now. If you want to do some work, you can go and sit on my work table.", Matt said. "Thanks Matt.", Sarah said with a smile on her face. "No problem.", Matt said with a smile on his face. Matt then got up and started walking towards his bedroom. He slided the door closed and sat down on the floor to meditate.

Sometime later as Matt was meditating, he heard a phone ring. He listened as Sarah picked up the phone and walked towards his bedroom. She opened the door. "Sorry to interrupt your mediatation, but Brett's calling you on your burner phone.", Sarah said. Matt got up and took the phone from Sarah. "Thanks.", Matt said. He then pressed on the green call button and put the phone beside his ear. "Sargent Detective.", Matt said in a low deep voice. "Hey. Just wanted to tell you that everything is ready for the tonights mission.", Brett said on the other line of the phone call. "Alright.", Matt said in a low deep voice. "The mission will be on the hours we talked last night.", Brett said. "Good. I'll be there.", Matt said in a low deep voice. "Alright. That's all. Bye.", Brett said. "Bye.", Matt said in a low deep voice. Brett then hung up the phone call. "What did he say?", Sarah asked as she was sitting on the bed. "He said that he and other cops, SWAT teams and FBI agents are ready for the mission. They'll surround all six bars around 9PM to 10PM.", Matt said. "Okay. Then we wait until tonight. Then both of us can go to the main bar where Layne is currently hiding.", Sarah said. "Yeah. We will wait until 10PM, then will go to the main bar and do our mission.", Matt said.

The next night both Matt and Sarah dressed differently. Matt put on his red and black suit. Sarah put her all black clothing. They both knew the importance of the mission. They knew that when they take down the Dogs Of Hell, they will be on The Hand's radar. Sarah left the apartment via stairs while Matt left the apartment via the roof access. Both of them were going in the same direction. Matt was following Sarah closely from the rooftops until they reached the base of operations of the Dogs Of Hell. Now both Matt and Sarah were ready for the mission.

Daredevil was already crouching on the rooftop. He was surveying the situation. He knew that there were three entrances to the bar. Roof, back and front entrance. I detect dozens of heartbeats. One of them is Layne. He's downstairs in his office with two other henchmen. I can't get in the bar via the front and back entrance. I could get in the bar through the roof access. I also sense a electrical circuit. I can shut the lights off. Then I'll beat up the henchmen and then I'll beat Layne. I know that Brett is here, in front of the bar. I have to move now. Daredevil then took out his billly clubs and connected them he then threw one end of the billy club on the edge of the bars rooftop. He then ran towards the other rooftop. He then jumped and landed neatly on the bars rooftop. He then retracted the other end of the billy club and walked towards the roof door. Daredevil then opened the door with his connected billy club and walked in. Beside him was the electrical circuit, he then opened it and shut the lights off. He then heard henchmen talking downstairs. He heard Layne bark orders. Daredevil then listened as the five henchmen walked up the stairs towards the roof door. Daredevil then started walking down, disconnecting the billy clubs, the first henchmen tried to swing with the baseball bat, but Daredevil side stepped and hit him twice with the billy club, knocking him out. The other two henchmen caught the first knocked out henchmen. Daredevil then used his opppurtunity to jump at the remaining four henchmen. Daredevil and the other henchmen stumbled down the stairs. The four henchmen were on the ground. Daredevil quickly got up and knocked out all four henchmen with his billy clubs. He then put his billy clubs back in his holster and he picked up a baseball bat. He then walked further down the stairs leaving the five henchmen bloody and beaten.

Daredevil walked down the stairs and now was on the ground floor. He knew where he was at. Behind the door was the main area of the bar. Daredevil knew there was ten henchmen in the main area. He then slowly opened the door and walked in the bar counter. He then realized that ten henchmen haven't recognized him yet. Daredevil exited the bar counter and started swinging at the first two henchmen, knocking them out. The other eight henchmen heard some commotion and turned around Daredevil. The first four henchmen rushed towards Daredevil. He swung with the baseball cap at the first two henchmen knocking them out. Then Daredevil was tackled down by two other henchmen who started to punch Daredevil. Daredevil grabbed their two wrist and twisted them. The two henchmen were screaming. Daredevil then picked both of their heads and hit them with their heads. The two henchmen were knocked out. Daredevil then flipped up and was on his feet. He realized that next two henchmen were approaching him. Both of the the thugs tried to punch Daredevil, who just dodged their punches. Daredevil then uppercuted and punched him with his right hand. He then turned towards the other henchman and punched him twice in the face, knocking him out. He then walked over to the two remaining henchmen. They took their guns, but Daredevil took out his billy club and threw it at the henchmen's hands, knocking the two pistols for their wrist. The two thugs screamed. Daredevil quickly approached them, took their wrists and twisted. He then upppercutted and punched with his right hand the two henchmen. Daredevil then took his billy club and put it back in the holster. Daredevil then walked towards the basement leaving henchmen bloody and bruised.

Daredevil walked down the stairs of the basement. He sensed five henchmen guarding the basement and two other henchmen in Mike Layne's office. Mike Layne was in his office. Daredevil was in the basement. The basement itself was smaller compared to one owned by the Albanian mafia two weeks ago. He knew where the five henchmen were. Guarding the door. Daredevil then walked towards the Mike's office. The two henchmen spotted him and ran towards him. Daredevil punched the first henchmen with a three piece combo. He then punched the other henchman with the same three piece combo, knocking him out. Daredevil then walked closer towards Mike's office closer. He then turned left and was met with three henchmen who pointed the guns at Daredevil. Then they started shooting at Daredevil. He ducked by the wall. After they stopped shooting at Daredevil they started to reload. Daredevil took this opportunity to take his billy clubs and throw at the first two henchmen who got knocked down. Daredevil then lunged at the third henchmen tackling him to the ground. Daredevil then punched the third henchman violently and aggressively until he was knocked out. He stood up and walked over to the first henchman and knocked him out with two punches to the face. He turned towards the second henchmen and knocked him out with two punches to the face. Daredevil then stood up and picked up his billy clubs and put them back on the holster. Now Daredevil knew there were only two henchmen left and their leader Mike Layne. Daredevil then slowly walked towards the door.

Daredevil kicked down the door. He then lunged in the office. Chris tried to hit him with a baseball, but Daredevil took the hold of the baseball bat and swung at Chris twice. One in the rib, the other hit landed on Chris's ribs, knocking him out. "Mike Layne!", Daredevil shouted towards Layne. Jake tried to hit Daredevil with the baseball but Daredevil caught the baseball bat. Then he took hold of the baseball bat and swung at Jake twice. One in the ribs, the other to his face, knocking him out. Before Daredevil could punch Layne to the pulp. Layne had a shotgun that he pointed towards Daredevil. Before Layne could shoot at Daredevil, he took out his billy club and threw at Mike's right wrist. Mike's shotgun dropped to the floor and he staggered few steps back. Daredevil took this opportunity and ran and then slid on the table towards Mike. Daredevil then walked towards Layne who tried to hit him with his left arm. Daredevil caught his wrist, twisted it, then twisted the whole arm, breaking it. Mike Layne screamed. Daredevil then swooped his legs and started punching him violently and aggressively until Mike Layne was knocked out. He was bloody and bruised. Daredevil then stood up, picked up his billy club and put it back in the holster. Daredevil then took out his burner phone from a small compartment of his suit and dialed Brett's police number. After the fifth ring Brett picks up the phone call but Daredevil exited the phone call. He then put the put the phone back in his small compartment of his suit. Daredevil then walked outside Mike Layne's office and towards the roof access. After a few moments, Daredevil was already bringing lights back on as the cops moved in the bar. Daredevil the walked further up the roof stairs and then he closed the roof door.

On a nearby rooftop. Daredevil was listening to conversation between cops, FBI agents and SWAT teams. He also listened when the police arrested Mike Layne and other members of the Dogs Of Hell. He then listened as people talked about the Dogs Of Hell, their bars. He also heard people talking about Daredevil. He smirked at it. "Matt. If you can hear me with your heightened senses, It's time to go home. Follow me back to the your apartment." Matt heard Sarah's words. He got up and turned around. Daredevil then jumped into the night.

Daredevil got back to the apartment. He opened the door and stepped in the apartment. He knew that Sarah was waiting for him. He then walked down the stairs as he took out his helmet and then his alloy gloves. Suddenly Sarah got up from the couch and ran over to the stairs. Sarah hugged Matt. He was surprised by her gesture for a second but then he realized that he liked hugging her. Matt then hugged her back. Sarah put her face in the nape of his neck and inhaled his musky scent. She then retreated from Matt's neck and looked at him "You okay?", Sarah asked with concern in her voice. "Yeah. You?", Matt said with concern in his voice. "Yeah. Did you punch Layne one time for me?", Sarah asked as she was still hugging Matt. "Mhhm.", Matt said with a smile on his face. Sarah smiled warmly at him "My hero.", Sarah said as she kissed Matt on his cheek. Matt smirked.

ELSEWHERE

"Daredevil has once again interfered in our business ventures.", the first voice said. "Yes he has. Which is why we have to call him from Japan to come here to help us defeat Daredevil.", the second voice said. "You are right. We should call him after this meeting.", the first voice said. "Yes.", the second voice said.

A/N: Matt and Sarah take down the Dogs Of Hell together. They get closer after this mission. Elsewhere some voices are wanting to call someone to help them defeat Daredevil. Who are those voices? Who's the mysterious figure from Japan? What will happen in the next chapter? Stay tuned. This chapter is based around Matt and Sarah. Their partnership and friendship, more than friendship? Also this chapter is the end of the second arc. The ending is named ACT II. Leave a review/comment. It makes my day.

UPDATE: I will be taking some time off for around two months. Reason why is because I have to focus on my school work and I have to look into a college I would like to attend. So I'll start writing again in two months most likely. I have already written 35 chapters of this DD fanfic. I have 20 chapters left to write and then the fanfic is finished.
