It was almost a few days since Ember moved in with her birth father the Devil in Hell. Ember is still training under her father to control her powers and learn how things operate in Hell with collecting souls. Ember befriends her father's imps and is very close to his righthand imp Henchman.

One day, Ember is working on her favorite hobby: glass blowing art. She uses her father's flames to melt broken glass and uses some of her tubes to twirl the molten glass and blow in the tube to blow into a pitcher to make it widen. She added a few colorful pebbles to make it colorful and heat it more since she is immune to burns. After putting on the finishing touches, she places it down to cool off, next to her other glass blown art collection of a bowl, teapot and teacups.

Ember doesn't realize it, but her hobby is making her dirty. The Devil's auditor imp Stickler notices this and goes to inform his boss. He approaches the Devil polishing his pitchfork on his throne and says,

"Ehm! Excuse me!"

"What?! Can't you see I'm busy?!" The Devil yelled.

"Ehm, it's about your little girl." Stickler said.

"What about Ember? Is she alright?" The Devil asked.

"I couldn't help but she's a little dirty from all that glass making." Stickler answered.

"So, what if she's a little dirty? We all get dirty down here." The Devil asked, not caring.

"Well, how do you expect her to help run things around here with you if she's not presentable? You need to teach her to be clean sir. Might I recommend giving her a bath?" Stickler advised.

Ember overheard Stickler and realized she is all dirty. But she had one problem: she hates taking baths. Ember uses telekinesis to put her glass art away and runs off to hide to avoid getting a bath.

"Oh, alright! I'll get her cleaned up."

The Devil reluctantly agrees and gets up from his throne.

"Henchman!" The Devil called.

Henchman comes flying in with his little wings.

"Duh, yes boss?" Henchman asked.

"Get the bathtub ready! I gotta give my little princess a bath!" The Devil ordered.

"Duh, yes sir!" Henchman said.

He runs into the Devil's bathroom and starts the hot water. He adds soap bubbles to the running water. He prepares liquid soap and a bath brush. After the bath was full, he turns off the water and runs back to his boss.

"Duh, okay boss, the bath is ready!" Henchman said.

"Excellent! Now, go fetch Ember." The Devil ordered.

"Duh, alright boss." Henchman said.

He runs off to the area Ember was making her blown glass art. But to his shock, she is gone. He searches everywhere from her bedroom to the dungeon, but she was nowhere to be found. Henchman runs back to his boss to break the news to his boss.

"Uh, boss. She's missing!" Henchman nervously said.

"What, why?!" The Devil yelled.

"I can't find her, I looked everywhere!" Henchman answered defensively.

"I last saw her; she was making those colorful glass dishes over there." Stickler said as he pointed to where Ember was last seen.

"Hmm, I think she's hiding. Maybe she doesn't like baths like most kids." Henchman guessed.

"I'll find her." The Devil said impatiently.

He summons his magic mirror and taps it. It showed Ember was hiding in nearby bushes near the stairway entrance at the surface world. The Devil sighed and said,

"I'll go get her. She's a slippery little demon."

The Devil grabbed his pitchfork, tapped it and disappeared to the stairway entrance in the forest. The Devil said to himself loudly,

"Oh gee. I wonder where my little princess disappeared?"

Ember remained quiet in the bushes while her father continued to look around the area.

Ember quietly floats away to another bush as the Devil quickly looked in the bush she hid in and yelled,

"Aha!"

The Devil finds nothing in the bushes and said,

"Hmm. Not here. Well, I guess I'll look somewhere else."

The Devil leaves as Ember let out a quiet sigh of relief. Suddenly, without warning, she felt his hand grasp her shoulders with one hand, pulls her up and out of the bushes as the Devil said,

"Found you!"

Ember was startled as she hung her head down.

"You can run, but you can't hide from me." The Devil bragged.

Ember struggled to break free, even trying to blow fire at him.

"Don't fight me young lady! You're going to get a bath!"

The Devil scolded as he got a tight grip on her and disappeared back to Hell.

They reappear outside the bathroom as Ember continued to struggle.

"Aw jeez, I've never seen a kid so desperate to get out of a bath." Henchman said, surprised at Ember's behavior.

Inside the bathroom, the Devil undresses Ember as she still struggled to get away.

"Ember! You are going to get a bath, whether you like it or not!" The Devil scolded.

The Devil finally gets Ember in the bathtub and started scrubbing her with a brush as Ember groaned. He thought for a moment and gets an idea. He snapped his fingers and the bubbles started floating around Ember, getting her attention. The bubbles shapeshifted into various shapes of animals, stars and butterflies, making Ember giggle.

"I am a genius." The Devil said to himself as he lathered Ember's hair with shampoo.

The Devil uses a cup and pours water on her head to rinse out the shampoo. He keeps Ember distracted with his magical bubbles while he applied conditioner in her hair. Ember decided to prank her father and magically conjured up some bubbles shaped like cups. They floated towards the Devil's head until they popped loudly and splashed his head. The Devil is startled at first, making Ember snicker. The Devil decided to prank Ember back and makes her hair into funny hair styles from spiky, twirly and loopy, making the Devil laugh. Ember laughs as they both keep pranking with each other playfully until Ember was all clean.

"There, now that wasn't so bad, was it?" The Devil asked as he finishes rinsing her off.

Later, the Devil cleans off Ember, wraps her body and hair in towels, revealing her pointed ears like his ears with onyx earrings.

"I haven't noticed your pretty ears my dear." The Devil complimented.

"Oh, people laugh at them, that's why I hide them under my hair." Ember revealed.

"Darling, your pretty ears are nothing to be ashamed of." The Devil said.

"Well, my human family never judged me for my looks. Mama always said, 'our looks doesn't define us.'" Ember recalled what Gwen said.

"Your mother really has a big heart; I'll give her that much." The Devil said as he dried Ember off.

"Now, let's get your pearly whites clean, shall we?" The Devil asked.

Ember shook her head, not wanting her father to do it.

"Come on dear, I wanna see your pretty smile." The Devil said as he got her toothbrush with a dab of toothpaste.

"Show me your teeth!" The Devil ordered her.

Ember nervously shows her teeth as the Devil started brushing them. He notices she has two fangs on her upper row and another two fangs on the bottom row.

"Oh, you have fangs just like me. Very pretty ones." The Devil complimented.

"I rarely smile with my teeth; people are scared of me." Ember said, feeling sad as she rinsed her mouth and spit in the sink.

"Darling, you have a pretty smile. Check this out." The Devil said.

He shows off his smile with all his teeth pointed as Ember gasped.

"Now you do it." The Devil ordered her.

Ember hesitates, but eventually shows her teeth revealing her fangs.

"No, no dear. You can do better than that. Think of something that makes you happy." The Devil said.

Ember thinks for a moment, then she thought of her family and smiled.

"Now, show those pearly whites." The Devil said.

Ember smiled, revealed her teeth for the first time.

"Much better." The Devil complimented as he wiped her face.

The Devil sits down on a stool, lifted Ember and placed her on his lap as he removed the towel from her head. Then, he grabbed a hairbrush and started to brush her hair. He feels the top of her head, looking for something.

"Hmm, I don't feel any horns on your head." The Devil said.

"Yeah, but I still have them. They only appear when I do certain things." Ember admitted.

"Really? Like what?" The Devil asked, now curious.

"Like…" Ember said as she thought for a moment.

Then, she tries to scare the Devil with her sudden shapeshift into a demon with her horns revealed, skin turned grey, her eyes glowing yellow, a demon tail, her fingernails turned to claws and her teeth turning pointy.

The Devil is not scared but impressed with her ability and clapped.

"Impressive my dear. You do have a demon in you after all." The Devil complimented.

Ember shapeshifted to her regular form and said,

"Well, it only happens when I feel negative emotions like anger, sadness and fear."

"Honey, that's nothing to be ashamed of. Why are you so down on yourself for your appearance?" The Devil asked, noticing something.

"Because people made fun of me my whole life! They call me freak, monster, a mistake! I heard it all! Mama had to homeschool me because I was bullied at school every day. The only ones I could ever play with were my sisters and brother." Ember admitted, having tears roll down her face.

The Devil was in shock, now understanding why Gwen said that she and Clarence had to protect Ember from everyone.

"Oh my. So, you had it hard your whole life. I see why you left home." The Devil said.

"My family loves me, but I came to you because I need your help with controlling my powers and learn more about what I am." Ember admitted.

The Devil was touched that Ember came clean with herself and gives her a hug.

"Well, forget all about those horrible bullies. From now on, you're with me. You are among fellow demons including the head honcho demon: me." The Devil said as he stroked her hair.

Ember felt happy for once in her life and said,

"Thanks father."

Ember sunk her head into the Devil's chest as he stroked her head.

Later, Ember is dressed up and goes with the Devil to his throne room.

"Now then my dear, let's continue your training, shall we?" The Devil asked.

"Okay, father." Ember answered.

The Devil tapped his pitchfork, and both disappeared to the arena.

"So, tell me. Can you shapeshift?" The Devil asked.

Ember cracked her knuckles and demonstrated her shapeshifting ability by transforming into a tarantula, a black cat, a raven and a dragon. The Devil clapped and said,

"Impressive. Now then." The Devil said as he shapeshifted in his dragon form.

Ember shapeshifted into her dragon form.

"Come with me, we're going out." The Devil said as they both disappeared to the surface world.

The Devil flies in the night sky and Ember follows him. They both fly into the clouds as Ember showed off some her tricks. The Devil shows off some of his tricks to Ember such as making some clouds turn black and create lightning. Ember makes some clouds grey and makes them rain.

Ember notices they were flying over her childhood home and decided to fly down and see how her human family was doing. She flies up to the window and notices her family having lounge time after dinner. Joy was drawing on some paper, Timothy was playing with some of his toys, and Priscilla was practicing singing and dancing. Meanwhile, Gwen and Clarence were both sitting in their chairs reading their books. Ember remembered how she would be drawing doodles with Joy, played toys with Timothy and danced with Priscilla.

"Ember! What are you doing?" The Devil whispered as he approached Ember.

"Oh! Sorry father, I was just checking on my family. See how they're doing." Ember said nervously.

"They're fine, now come along!" The Devil quietly scolded.

Ember sighed and leaves with the Devil in the sky. They continued flying as Ember is in awe of the sights.

"Beautiful view isn't it dear?" The Devil asked.

"Yeah, it is." Ember answered.

"But you ain't seen nothing yet. Follow me." The Devil said.

The Devil leads Ember to the highest mountain peak, and she gets a whole view of the Inkwell Isles.

"Wow. This is amazing." Ember said as she and her father held each other.

"It sure is dear. Tomorrow, we start your schooling on how to be a demon. You already know how to be a human. You need to learn both sides of the species dear." The Devil said.

"Really?" Ember asked.

"Yes Ember. Isn't this what you wanted?" The Devil asked.

"Yes, it is." Ember answered as she yawned, feeling tired.

"Good. Now, let's go home." The Devil said.

The Devil teleports himself and Ember back to Hell. They both shapeshifted back to their regular forms as Ember started to get sleepy. The Devil lifts up and carries a sleeping Ember to her room, magically dressed her in her nightgown and brushed her teeth. He tucks her in, kisses her goodnight and heads to bed.

The next day, Ember is in the conference room set up like a classroom.

"Alright daughter, we begin your schooling on being a demon just like me." The Devil said, wearing a graduation cap and holding his pitchfork as a pointer stick while Henchman stood on the side as the classroom aide.

Ember sits at the end of the table with school supplies, being reminded of being homeschooled by her mother which was boring to her. The Devil teaches Ember the basics from tormenting souls, demanding the respect of the citizens, collecting souls and cheating people for their souls. Ember didn't want to be evil like him but pretends to go along with it to please her father. A few hours later, the Devil wrapped up his teaching for the day.

"Alright Ember, I think that's enough schooling for today. What do you say we go check on my workers?" The Devil asked as Ember put her schoolwork away.

"Okay, sure?" Ember answered unsure.

The Devil lifts Ember up and carries her out of the conference room while Henchman followed behind.

"I know school is boring, but trust me, I'll make a demon of you by the time you graduate." The Devil said, noticing his daughter's boredom.

"It's so boring. Even here I gotta sit in a chair all day listening to mama and you talk about everything?" Ember asked.

"I don't know what your mother's teaching you, but I am a much better teacher." The Devil bragged.

The Devil carried Ember to his network where the imps were monitoring the sins of the two worlds.

He places Ember down and the Devil checks with his imps for updates on each department. Ember learns about the departments from pride, lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, envy, laziness, famine and war. The Devil is impressed with everything up and running.

"What a great job I'm doing with this whole operation. You see my dear? You'll be doing this when you're older." The Devil bragged.

Ember fakes a smile, seemingly agreeing with her father. Henchman sees that Ember is hiding something.

"Henchman, take my daughter back to her room and keep an eye on her. I got important business to take care of." The Devil ordered.

"Duh, yes boss." Henchman said.

He walks up to Ember and takes her hand.

"Duh, come on Ember. Let's go get your toys." Henchman said as he led her away.

Ember walked away with Henchman back to her room. Ember sits on the carpet on her bedroom floor and got out her monster dolls and play with them while Henchman watched her.

"Duh, hey kid? Are you okay? You seem to be hiding something." Henchman asked, concerned.

Ember just continued playing, not saying a word.

"Aw, you can tell me. I'm your friend." Henchman assured her.

Ember kept playing with her toys still not talking. Henchman knelt down to her.

"Look, I can tell you've been faking a smile in front of your father lately and agreeing with him on everything." Henchman explained.

Ember paused, realizing Henchman noticed some signs.

"Do you even want to take his job if he ever decides to retire?" Henchman asked.

"Well… not really." Ember nervously admitted.

Henchman scooted next to Ember and placed his arm around her shoulder.

"You wanna talk about it to your buddy Henchman?" Henchman asked.

Ember sighed and said,

"Well, I'm happy father loves me, but I think he wants me to be a ruler of this realm like he does. But I don't feel like I can do it. I just want to make friends, make good use of my powers once I'm in control and have people see me differently."

"Oh wow. I'm sorry you had it tough your whole life. But don't worry, he'll show you how to use your powers and you have friends here already. You got me, Stickler and the other imps. They really like you. I even heard a few of them saying you may be a better boss than your father. And maybe one day, people will see you differently in a good way. You should talk to your father about how you feel." Henchman assured her.

"I don't think I can. How would he understand? I don't want to anger him." Ember asked.

"Kid, you'd be surprised. If you talk to him, you'll feel better. Besides, you won't be running the underworld yet. You're still a kid, he's just gonna school you until you grow into a woman, and he'll decide what you'll do from there." Henchman answered.

Ember thought for a moment and said,

"I guess it'd be worth a try."

"There ya go kid. See, don't you feel better that you're talking to me about it?" Henchman asked, patting her back.

"I guess so." Ember answered.

"Henchman!" The Devil called.

Henchman quickly gets up and called,

"Yeah, boss?"

The Devil enters Ember's room and says,

"Ah, there you two are. Go vacuum the throne room Henchman. I need to speak to my daughter alone."

"Uh, yes boss." Henchman said.

He leaves Ember's room to his duties. The Devil lifts Ember up and places her on her bed and sits next to her.

"So, my dear, how are you liking it here?" The Devil asked.

"It's very nice." Ember nervously answered.

"Good. Now, is there something you want to tell me? You seem to be agreeing with everything I say." The Devil asked.

Ember looked away, feeling nervous. The Devil gently holds Ember's face and turned it to him.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you." The Devil corrected her.

Ember sighed, then she asked,

"If I tell you, you won't be mad or blow up?"

The Devil looked shocked and confused.

"Whatever do you mean?" The Devil asked.

"Well, I'm grateful you're training me to control my powers and teaching me how to be a demon. I really am. But I don't feel like I can rule the underworld. I mean, it's just so sudden. I don't feel like I'll be like you, I'm not really evil." Ember confessed.

The Devil is shocked at his daughter's confession. Ember flinched, fearing he would lose his temper.

"Why are you acting like I'm gonna attack you?" The Devil asked.

Ember opened her eyes and looked at him.

"I can tell you have your mother's heart. But I don't expect you to run the underworld just yet. You're still young, whatever gave you the idea a kid could run this place?" The Devil asked.

Ember's eyes opened and looked at her father.

"So… you're not mad?" Ember asked.

"No dear, you still have a long way to go. When you grow up, you'll start to have duties and responsibilities like I do. Besides, I had a feeling you're not as evil as me but you're still my daughter and I need you to help me run the organization when you're ready." The Devil said.

Ember smiled and hugged her father.

"Anyway, I was also gonna say that I know that you're a little lonely with nobody to play with. So, I took the liberty of bringing you…"

The Devil said as he pulled up something from behind him. He opened his hand to reveal… a little black kitten with demon wings.

"Meow." The little kitten said.

"… a little friend for you." The Devil announced.

Ember gasped at the little kitten and took the kitten as she meowed.

"Aw, she is so cute! Thank you, father!" Ember said happily.

"I knew you'd be happy to have a little companion." The Devil said as he patted Ember's back.

Ember sunk her head into her father's chest, thanking him.

"So, what are you gonna name her?" The Devil asked.

"I think I'll call her… Umbra." Ember said.

"Mew!" Umbra meowed.

"Perfect." The Devil said, approving the name.

"But remember dear, she's for you to look after. You will be responsible for her." The Devil pointed out.

"I will father." Ember promised.

Later that day, Ember spent her free time playing with Umbra with cat toys. Ember set up Umbra's litter box in her personal bathroom, scratching posts in her bedroom and food and water dishes in the dining area. At night, Umbra lays on Ember's chest, purring as Ember petted her in bed.

"I love you, Umbra. You're my best friend." Ember said.

"Meow!" Umbra meowed as she licked Ember's face.

Ember giggled as she snuggled under her blankets. Ember kissed Umbra good night and turned out the lamp and went to sleep. Umbra lays next to Ember and falls asleep purring. The Devil comes into her room and notices Ember sleeping with Umbra. The Devil smiled as he went up to Ember and gives her a kiss.

"Good night, my little princess. You and your little kitty." The Devil said as he petted Umbra.

The Devil leaves her room and closes the door. The Devil walked with Henchman to his bedroom.

"D'aw boss, you made your little girl so happy." Henchman complimented.

"Thank you, Henchman. She needed a friend to play with." The Devil said.

"You know boss, she's nervous about running the fiery underworld. But she still wants to make you proud." Henchman said.

"I know, I'm still gonna train her and school her. She'll learn to rule alongside with me. We'll just do it one step at a time." The Devil said.

"That's the spirit boss." Henchman said.

The Devil enters his bedroom, closes the door and goes to bed.

The next day, after breakfast, Ember plays with Umbra until Henchman comes up to her.

"Uh, your father's waiting for ya in the conference room." Henchman said.

"Aw, can't it wait till later? I'm playing with Umbra." Ember asked as she continued playing with Umbra.

"Uh, no. Your father wants you, right now or else he said he's gonna come get you." Henchman warned her.

Ember's eyes popped, placed the feather toy down and followed Henchman to the conference room with Umbra tagging along behind. Ember goes to sit in her father's chair, trying to be ready for another boring school day. Umbra tries to follow Ember, but Henchman catches her and takes her outside the conference room.

"Uh, uh, uh kitty. I know you miss your mama, but school is not for you." Henchman said to Umbra in a cute-like voice.

Umbra hisses at Henchman and tries to attack by breathing fire at him. Henchman manages to dodge the fire blast in time. Then, Umbra tries to pounce him, but Henchman quickly pulled out a ball of yarn, thus stopping Umbra from attacking. Umbra meowed affectionately and played with the ball of yarn.

"Ha! Got ya kitty." Henchman said, feeling proud of himself.

In the conference room, Ember is once again bored with her father's teachings of soul-collecting and everything evil.

After school, Ember leaves with her father, takes Umbra from Henchman and head to the dining area for dinner. Ember fills Umbra's food dish with cat food in the kitchen then joins her father at the dinner table for dinner. After dinner, Ember plays with Umbra some more and suddenly, she hacks up a brimstone.

"Wow, that's new. All cats hack up hairballs, but not you."

Ember said as she cleaned up the brimstone and threw it in the fires.

Umbra scratched one of her scratching posts and within seconds, it is shredded to pieces due to Umbra's very strong claws. Ember is amazed as the Devil approaches her.

"Wow, the little kitty is stronger than she looks." The Devil complimented.

He tapped his pitchfork and restored the scratching post and made it stronger for Umbra's sharp claws.

"Thanks father." Said Ember.

"No problem darling. Now, what do you say we go to my personal theater and you, and my minions can watch your number one father perform?" The Devil asked as he led Ember away.

"You perform father?" Ember asked.

"Why, yes dear. Your old man has an appreciation for the theater and the arts. Don't you?" The Devil asked.

"Uh, yeah. Sure. I've seen my mama perform. Even Priscilla wants to get into showbusiness like her father." Ember answered.

"Oh. I see. Anyway, you'll have a special box seat. I'll show you I'm a much better performer!" The Devil bragged.

The Devil has Ember sit in a balcony seat while Henchman and the other imps sit in the audience. For his next performance, he is wearing a clown costume preparing to sing Vesti la guibba from the opera Pagliacci. Ember watched her father perform with Umbra in her lap purring. She started to get bored along with the other imps and started to fall asleep.

She then noticed that the imps were all wearing glasses with eyeballs painted, making them look like they're awake and watching. Ember snickered and got an idea. Ember decided to sneak off with Umbra to pay a visit to her human family.

"I can't wait for you to meet my mother, my adoptive father, my sisters and brother." Ember whispered.

"Mew!" Umbra quietly meowed.

Ember and Umbra magically disappeared to the farm at the surface world. Ember knocked at the front door and Timothy answered.

"Ember!" Timothy said excitedly.

"Tim!" Ember said and hugged her brother.

Joy and Priscilla came running to the door.

"Ember!" Both girls said and hugged their sister.

"You're home!" Joy said happily.

"It wasn't the same without you Em." Priscilla added.

"It wasn't the same not being around you three and mama and papa." Ember said.

"Meow!" Umbra meowed.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I almost forgot. I want you all to meet my little best friend: Umbra." Ember introduced as she held up Umbra.

The three kids gasped at the sight of her. Joy nervously reaches out her hand to pet her.

"Umbra, be nice. They're my sisters and brother. They won't hurt you." Ember told Umbra.

Umbra sniffed Joy's hand then she allowed her to pet her head and started purring.

"Aw, she likes me." Joy said as Umbra jumped into Joy's arms and snuggled.

Priscilla and Tim both pet Umbra.

"She's no ordinary demon kitten, she can do lots of cool things!" Ember said.

"Like what?" Asked Priscilla.

"Come, I'll show you. We have to do it away from the house." Ember warned them.

The four children took Umbra and went off to Ember's old hangout where she trained her powers. Joy places Umbra down on the ground as Ember sets up a dummy.

"Watch this! Umbra, flamethrower!" Ember said.

Umbra growled and breathed fire at the dummy, burning it to ashes. Priscilla, Timothy and Joy all stood with their mouths hung open.

"Woah! That's no ordinary kitty!" Timothy exclaimed.

"What else can she do?" Priscilla asked.

"Well, she can also do this." Ember said as she magically made a scratching post appear.

Umbra scratched the post until it was nothing but a pile of splinters. Then, Ember made a windup mouse toy appear and set it on the ground and it sped away. Umbra ran after it with superspeed and immediately caught the toy mouse and destroyed it to bits and pieces.

"Wow, she's quite a little predator!" Priscilla said.

"I know. She's the best at hunting and mauling prey. But she does have a soft side for cuddling and playing." Ember explained.

Joy grabbed a feather toy and plays with Umbra. The kitten chases after the feather toy as Joy laughed. After wearing Umbra out, Joy has Umbra cuddle in her arms as she's purring.

"Aw, she already loves you, Joy." Ember complimented.

"Well, Umbra and I better get back before my father finds out I disappeared." Ember said as she lifted Umbra from Joy.

"Come visit again Em!" Timothy said.

"Yeah! Bring Umbra too!" Joy added.

"Remember what mama said. Be careful Em." Priscilla reminded her.

"I will Pris. I love you all!" Ember said and magically disappeared back to Hell.

Ember and Umbra arrive back in the theater just in time when her father finished his musical number and belted out the last note.

Henchman applauded as well as Ember forced herself to applaud, noticing the imps were still asleep with their glasses on. The Devil looked at Ember applauding and once again noticed his imps were still napping.

"Grr! You cultural numbskulls!" The Devil growled furiously.

One imp went back to sleep and snored, only for the Devil to angrily blow him up with his flamethrower attack from his pitchfork. Ember watched in shock at her father's actions as she heard him yell,

"Fine, I'll just take my daughter and go find something else to do!" The Devil snapped.

The Devil looked up at Ember and levitates her down from her balcony seat to the stage with Umbra flying after her. The Devil tapped his pitchfork, and both disappeared out of the theater. They reappear in the Devil's throne room. The Devil sits on his throne with Ember in his lap while Umbra laid in her lap.

"Grr! Those stupid morons! So, dear Ember, what do you wanna do with daddy now?" The Devil asked after calming himself down.

Ember thinks for a moment, then gets an idea.

"Wanna go to the spa? I'd like to get my nails done." Ember asked.

"Hmm, alright. I've been needing to get my claws done. And I'm also due for a massage. Great idea dear." The Devil agreed.

Umbra leapt down on the ground as the Devil stood up carrying Ember.

"We'll be back in a while. You keep an eye on the place till we get back." The Devil instructed Umbra.

"Mew!" Umbra meowed.

"Good kitty!" The Devil said.

The Devil lifted his pitchfork, tapped it and both him and Ember disappeared.

They appeared outside the Inkwell Spa. They both enter, order two deluxe packages and both lay on massage beds and two workers gave them massages. Then, they both sit in chairs, dipped their bare feet in the water and both relaxed as two workers did their toenails.

Then, they both get their nails done. Ember has her nails painted a beautiful fiery red color.

"Excellent choice of color my dearest Ember." The Devil complimented.

They both leave the spa, feeling relaxed. Later, they both get an ice cream and walk down the sidewalk. Ember notices a parade happening and wanted to go check it out. She runs down a sidewalk trying to get a good view but there were many tall adults blocking her view. The Devil followed her and noticed her trying to get a good look. He finished up his ice cream, lifts up Ember on his shoulders and she finally gets a good view of the marching band and parade floats.

After a while, the Devil said,

"Alright, I think we've had enough fun. Let's head back home."

The Devil lifts Ember off of his shoulder, held hands and walk away.

Just as they were about to head back to Hell, they hear an alarm going off and people were screaming down the sidewalk. They look and saw two bank robbers wearing ski masks robbing a bank.

"Father! What's happening?" Ember asked as she hid behind him.

"Oh, just two criminals robbing a bank." The Devil said calmly.

The robbers were heading their way with cops chasing them. Ember stood and watched from behind her father. Just then, the two robbers were heading the Devil and Ember's way. Ember felt scared and held her father tight.

"Hey! You! Give us that kid! We need a young hostage!" One robber said as he pointed a gun at the Devil.

"Yeah!" The second robber agreed and pointed his gun.

Ember shook in fear as the Devil laughed at them.

"Oh, you simple-minded fools. I won't be doing that." The Devil said calmly.

The two robbers cocked their guns.

"Give us the kid! We'll shoot!" The first robber yelled.

"No, go ahead. Shoot me." The Devil said with a smile and folded his arms.

"Father! What are you doing?!" Ember fearfully asked until the Devil placed his finger on her mouth, shushing her.

"Trust me." The Devil whispered.

The robbers shoot the Devil, but to Ember's shock, the bullets magically stop in front of the Devil. The robbers stood there with their mouths hung open as the Devil laughed at them.

"If you dumb yokels think you can kill me, think again." The Devil taunted.

The robbers stood in horror, now realizing who he really was. They try to make a run for it, but the Devil levitates them up in the air with his pitchfork. He slams them up and down a few times, then he slammed them into each other, knocking them out as they fell to the ground. Ember stood in shock at her father's attacks.

"Now, would you like to do the honors of finishing them off honey?" The Devil asked.

Ember hesitated but nodded in agreement. She goes up to the robbers, reached out both her hands on their chests and removed their souls out of their bodies, leaving them soulless. The Devil evilly smiled at his daughter's success.

"That's my girl! You did your old man proud." The Devil praised Ember.

He takes the two souls from Ember. She couldn't believe what she just did. The Devil notices and kneels to her.

"Honey, I know this seems bad taking their souls, but trust me. You'll learn to like punishing the wicked. What do you say we go home, deposit your first collected souls and celebrate?" The Devil asked to cheer her up.

Ember thought for a moment and nodded.

"Okay father." Ember said as she raised her arms up to him.

The Devil lifts her up in one arm. He tapped his pitchfork, and both disappeared back to Hell with the two souls. The Devil takes Ember to his giant soul vault and has her deposit her first two collected souls. The Devil escorts Ember with Umbra following to the network area and gathered all his imps including Henchman and Stickler. He tapped his pitchfork and magically throws a party.

The Devil takes a glass of a red fizzy drink from an imp holding a platter of drinks.

"Attention everyone! This is a momentous occasion! My little girl has collected her first two souls! I couldn't be prouder of her. I see great things for Ember in the future when she becomes a woman and learns everything from her dear father. So, let's all raise a glass to Ember!" The Devil announced and raised his glass to Ember.

All the imps applaud her as Umbra jumped into Ember's arms and purred. Ember smiled and did a little curtsy and said,

"Thank you everyone."

Umbra licked Ember's face as all the imps all said 'Aww'.

They all enjoyed their party together. Later, the Devil and Ember were walking to her bedroom.

"Oh Ember, take a look inside your room." The Devil said.

"Why father?" Ember asked, eating the last bit of cake.

"Just do it." The Devil answered.

Ember finishes eating the cake and opens her bedroom door. Suddenly, something flew past her.

"Whoa! What was that?" Ember asked, startled.

The Devil whistled and pointed down, giving a glare. A flying broomstick came flying down, to Ember's surprise. The broomstick landed vertically and appeared to have a mind of its own. It nervously approaches Ember.

"Is that broom… alive?" Ember asked.

"Why yes, it he Ember. He can sweep the floors; he flies in the air just like you witnessed. And he's all yours too. You know, your personal flying broom? Like I have my pitchfork to levitate." The Devil answered.

Ember reached out her hand, the broom nervously stepped back.

"It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." Ember said gently.

The broom looked at her, slowly approached her hand. Ember petted the broom like a pet. Suddenly, the broom flew around her, accepting her as his new master.

"I think he likes me father. Thank you." Ember said as she hugged the Devil.

"You're welcome, my darling. I think I figured out how we can put your powers and magic to good use when you're older." The Devil said, patting Ember on her head.

"How? Am I gonna be a witch or something?" Ember guessed.

"Yes, my dear Ember. But not just any witch, I'm gonna make you the most powerful one of all. And you'll be helping me out in the casino and the business." The Devil explained.

"How?" Ember asked.

"Well, for my casino, I put out the temptation of people who are willing to gamble for all the money or their souls. And I want you to help me out with putting temptation out there in my casino with your magic. You will offer your services with spells. But the catch is, if they abuse those spells, their souls will be forfeited." The Devil explained.

"So, you want me to sell people my spells and whatever bad things they choose to do with them, you'll take their souls as the consequence?" Ember asked.

"Precisely my dear. You're smart just like me." The Devil answered.

Ember thought for a moment and got an idea.

"What if I also had a little gift shop to earn some extra money along with those spells while I'm at it? Please father? I'll make and sell my blown glass art and other things too." Ember suggested.

The Devil thought for a moment.

"You're brilliant my dear!" The Devil complimented.

"Thanks father, but how to I learn these spells?" Ember asked.

"To answer that question, I have something to show you. Come with me." The Devil said.

He takes Ember's hand and leads her with Umbra and the broom following behind to his throne. He takes her behind his throne, raised his pitchfork and tapped it, opening a secret spiral staircase into the floor.

"Woah! A secret…?" Ember was about to ask until the Devil covered her mouth.

"Shh! Be quiet! None of my imps know about this and I wanna keep it that way!" The Devil whispered.

They go down the secret passageway and enter a secret chamber. The Devil clapped twice and candles on the wall magically light up. A spotlight is shone on a pedestal with a beautiful black spell book.

"Woah! What is that book?" Ember asked.

"That my dear is an all-powerful spell book called 'The Devil's Spell Book'." The Devil answered as he uses telekinesis on the book and brings it over to him.

"This is where you're gonna learn those powerful spells." The Devil explained.

Ember was about to take it until the Devil took it away.

"Uh, uh, uh! Before I entrust you with this powerful book, you must first take a sacred oath." The Devil said.

"Oh, okay." Ember said.

"Are you ready to take the oath?" The Devil asked.

"Yes." Ember answered.

"Very well then. Raise your right hand." The Devil ordered.

Ember raises her right hand.

"Do you Ember, daughter of the Devil, me of course, solemnly swear to study, guard and protect this book with your life and never share any living soul it's secrets and spells and at all times keep it hidden when not using it?" The Devil asked, delivering the oath.

"I do." Ember answered.

"Very well. The spell book is now yours. But remember, you took an oath. So, keep this book protected." The Devil reminded her.

"I will father. I promise." Ember promised as she is handed the book.

"Good girl. I know you'll do me proud." The Devil said, wrapping his arm around her.

From then on, Ember started studying and practicing all the spells from the Devil's Spell Book as she continued her studying being a demon. She also gets the hang of flying on her new broomstick so she can fly anywhere without walking. Ember also shows off to her human family being in control of her powers with the Devil's help, making her mother Gwen very proud of her.
