Seer 13
"Well, if it isn't my boy", Lucifer says bitterly-all of them surprised he chose to address Jack first. "I knew you'd be here, of course. With your false Fathers and dearest Alice...you know, it's a little fucked up. Eventually, Alice will be carrying my child. She will be your step mother, carrying your sibling...your feelings for her aren't natural, son. At the very least, you feel she's your sister. At most...".
Jack's expression is dormant, unfazed. "I don't harbour that type of feeling for Alice."
"He doesn't", Alice confirms. "I would know." Castiel grips her tighter as she speaks.
Lucifer grins and takes a few even steps towards her. Jack steps in front of her and Cas, holding his arms out. "Not another step."
"Step aside, son. Ive hurt you, once. I'll do it again. But-very valiant of you. Protecting precious Alice. And she is...precious. She's going to give me what your mother did not. What you did not."
"I will never-", Alice begins.
"Oh, you will. It's going to be a huge pain in my ass, this whole thing, but you will."
He looks at Jack, one last warning glance, before lifting him in the air and sending him against the wall with a flick of his wrist. Jack tries to move, but is held in place, just like the rest of them with that one swift movement.
Lucifer smiles at Alice, closing the space between them. She doesn't move as he breathes in her scent and strokes her face with his thumb. "So very sweet...". Her eyes squeeze shut.
Castiel and Sam look on, furious- the former seething as Lucifer puts his hands on Alice while she is held against him. Jack is trying to gather his power to free himself. Dean is unreadable.
Lucifer trails a careful hand around her neck, down between her breasts. "Have you been lying to yourself, dear child, or do you really not know you aren't solely human...?"
At this, her eyes open, the amber in them glimmering like fire embers. "What am I, Lucifer?" There is a steely resolve in her voice.
He laughs. "Wouldn't you like to know, dear one. Maybe if you cooperate, I can make you privy to such essential information...".
"Forget it", she spits, pressing back against Cas just to feel him there. Lucifer catches this and sends him against the wall like the others, holding him there like a fly in a spider's web.
Suddenly, there is an extra presence in the space. Pale skin, black dress, signature red hair. She immediately assesses the situation.
Sam struggles to speak "took you...long enough...".
"Come now, Sam. You called, I came. Where's my thank you?" She sighs. "No manners...".
She turns to Alice, looking at her with interest.
Lucifer begins to clap. "This is your calvary? The ginger witch whom I've already killed once...? Bravo."
Rowena doesn't flinch, not this time. "You certainly seem extra powerful today, Lucifer...have you helped yourself to some extra angel grace or are you powered by a spell, perhaps...?"
She is biding time, unsure of what her best move is. She doesn't have a lot of options at the moment.
"I'll never tell", he mocks. "Rowena", he continues, "you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Alice yet, have you...? She is quite remarkable...". He moves back, gesturing towards Alice, as if presenting someone royal to a guest.
He resumes bantering without waiting for a response, looking back to Alice. "Sorry to have to do this to you, sweets. Who should I kill first? Your angel, your savior lover? Or your beautiful Sammy, your twin flame...or whatever the hippies are calling them these days?"
Cas struggles. "Alice, don't...".
Rowena notices the top of a knife breaching Sam's boot. Alice is frozen in panic and rage.
"Come to me, and this all stops", Lucifer says gently. Alice remains still, hands balled into fists at her sides.
Lucifer sighs. "You know, there's no reason for me to have to choose." He lifts both his hands, one towards Cas, one towards Sam, and closes his fists. Both men start sputtering, trying to get air into their lungs. Alice can't bear the sound.
"STOP! Okay...", she closes her eyes and takes a couple of steps towards Lucifer, who raises a victorious eyebrow.
Rowena acted fast. She had silently used her powers to draw Sam's knife over to her while Lucifer was rambling.
In one swift movement, she lunges forward and grabs Alice, one arm around her neck, knife glinting against her pale skin.
Confusion flashes across the Devil's face. He tries to recover the knife from Rowena but is unable. His powers aren't working on her.
She smiles. "Ah...so it IS some kind of spell thats juicing you up. Perfect."
Lucifer deflects the comment. "Rowena, have you betrayed the boys again? Whats your play in this? Put down the knife."
Sam had been watching her closely, and he thought he saw her shoot him a look as he felt the knife slipping from his leg.
"ROWENA!", Cas manages. Sam tries to give him a look, a nod, anything to signal it was alright.
The red-haired beauty looks pleased with herself. With the knife carefully held in place, she nods her head back towards Jack. "My play? This is no game...no offense to you Jack-you somehow turned out to be quite a nice lad, but I highly doubt that will happen a second time. I can't let this happen. And if the only way to do that is to snuff out Alice...I'm sorry, but I'll have no choice. No girl, no devil child."
Lucifer grits his teeth, knowing hes stuck, for now. "What do you want, witch?"
She presses the blade into Alice's skin just enough to expose a few blooms of blood, there. "Free the boys, then go. Now. If you think I'm joshing, try me."
Lucifer draws in an angry breath, which he tries to even while exhaling. He wears a clipped smile, nodding to Alice. "Until we meet again...and we will, special one."
He disappears and the boys are dropped to the floor. Rowena sighs and releases Alice. "Sorry about that, dear...".
Castiel is hasty and, he realizes, somewhat selfish. Alice manages a "Thank god you're all okay! I love y-", while he tries to heal her throat. This time, he is able, which gives him immense relief. Then he scoops her up, swiftly. "I'm taking her home", he says firmly but gently. "We'll see you there."
"Cas, wait!", Dean exclaims, but they are already gone.
