Gregor drew his sword and the others, who were now aware of the threat, assumed a battle position. Ripred however, looked at their new opponent, laughed, stretched out on the floor, and said, "I'll let you deal with this." Luxa charged, but the ant side-stepped the blow, sending Luxa crashing into the wall. This cutter was huge, not like Slagsh, but still huge, and was blue and red, underneath all its bloodstains and dirt. Howard charged and was flipped over in a flash of light. The roaches and Lizzie huddled in a corner. So Cosmo said, "Mount, Overlander."

They flew above and then Cosmo dived so quickly that the ant barely had time to react, but it dodged the blade and shoved the bat into the wall with its six legs. Gregor leapt off just in time. That left him. They circled for a minute, before Gregor charged and his sword connected with the cutter's leg. It began to roar and using brute strength, flipped him over so he was on top, with the mandibles pointed to his neck.

"Wait, Ragnar." Ripred said. "Do not kill our warrior." The ant released him. He stared at Ripred for a moment. Then they both burst out laughing and embraced.

"Quest members, meet Ragnor." Ripred said. "He has a long story. I will let him tell you."

The ant sat down, or at least kind of did. "Thank you Ripred." he said. "Now, while you all fight bravely, you cannot expect every cutter to act the same. Now, where shall I begin? Oh yes, I lived among the ants, got driven out for disobeying orders, met up with Ripred here, found out I was a rager, personally met the Bane, got chased out again by Slagsh, and now I live in war: the uncharted lands."

The group looked at him with their mouths wide. "He will be joining us on our quest through the Uncharted Lands, and will ride on Cosmo." Ripred said gleefully. "Which starts now." They wordlessly packed up their stuff and lept onto the bats. The three ragers began a conversation.

"So, warrior, what made you pick the snow blade?" Ragnor asked.

"The snow blade?" Gregor responded.

"Yes, yes." Ripred said warily. "The blade of snow, of all forgotten enemies."

"Oh," Gregor said. "I didn't know it had a name."

"So you are a rager?" Ragnor said innocently.

"Yes," Gregor said. "Are you?"

That sent the rat and the ant into spiels of laughter.

"You do look like a warrior," Ripred said hysterically. "With a girl on you and everything!"

Gregor looked at Luxa resting on his lap, and couldn't help but chuckle. He saw Howard scowl.

"Oh, lighten up, sweetie!" Ragnor roared in laughter. "Don't think too lowly of the warrior's partner choices."

"It does not concern you what I think!" Howard said.

That was the end of that conversation. Gregor ate and fell asleep, but almost immediately was woken by a loud, "UP!" from Ragnor. They dismounted their bats and began their journey into the dirt lands.

"Where exactly are we going?' Gregor asked Luxa, after they had been walking for an hour with the bats hovering above, with little conversation.

"We should only be traveling for a little while longer before we reach the gates of Atlantis." Luxa said. "From there we will search the lost city and try to find the silver leaf, which would act as a peace offering towards the cutters." Gregor nodded and they caught up with Ripred.

"Hey," Gregor said.

"Lets not make this a tea party now warrior." Ripred said.

"No, I just wanted to know about the lost city."

"I have never seen them for myself," Luxa admitted.

Ripred sighed. "Where to begin... Well Ragnor has lived there for many years, but from my understanding, in a few minutes we will find the city that Sandwich abandoned when he took Regalia for his own." Gregor nodded, wondering what that must look like.

It was mere seconds before he got his answer. The air illuminated by their light became thick and dusty, and the party began to cough. Almost as soon as the coughing began, the air transitioned into something way more clear. In front of them was a huge wall. It was gray and old, but it stayed tall none the less.

"Welcome to Atlantis." Ragnor said grimly.

"Have you ever been inside?" Lizzie asked. She had not spoken all trip.

"No," the ant said. "But I have heard from other creatures of its beauty. I am surprised Sandwich did not take it."

Temp chimed in, "Bigger threat, there was, bigger threat." No one questioned him further.

Instead Ripred walked up to the huge stone doors and shoved them open. They creaked and everybody gasped. In front of them was the most beautiful city Gregor had ever seen. This topped Regalia by a landslide. The terrible condition of the doors was like nothing. Thousands of blue and gold buildings illuminated the city. There was an unexplainable source of light, which Gregor assumed was because there was no ceiling. Instead, above them was tons of water, supported by what looked like a bubble.

'So this is Atlantis." Gregor thought. Overland myths talked about it: the dazzling city that was over-flooded and essentially lost forever. Here it was, right in the Underland.

"Lets stop gawking at it now." Ripred said, but even he sounded amazed. They began their journey along a blue path. Somewhere in the middle of the city, a huge brass statue portrayed a man standing triumphantly on top of a dead shark, holding a sword in one hand and a huge leaf in the other. He wore a long robe and had a white beard. An engraving on the pedestal said in big letters,

POSIEDON

1497-1762

Once a Hero

Always a Hero

Death in Sandwich

Gregor was confused, but suddenly Luxa gasped. "Look!" she exclaimed, and ran off towards the palace. Before Gregor could follow suit, Ragnor said, "I've heard about this palace and made plans as we should stay here as long as possible. You and Luxa will share room IIH." Gregor nodded and ran after Luxa, but he could hear Ripred laughing after him the entire way.
