AN: Hello readers, sorry for being away so long. Things have been difficult lately. Now in order for me to come up with more ideas for my story, I have decided to take a break from the main plot and work on some filler chapters for you all. This one starts with explaining the backstory of my OC, Silver. Now then, sit back and enjoy.

*Yabiko: 2200 AD*
…
"Aww, look at this one, Ragna. He's playing with his little ball. Isn't that adorable?" Said a young woman, looking into a glass cage containing a ferret.
"Yeah… Really cute… I'm falling in love with him, Celica…" Replied Ragna, barely paying attention.
"Oh, and look at this canary! It's so colorful! I bet it's chirp is beautiful."
"Yes, the ferret. The canary. The skinny pigs. Excuse me, sir! Do you by any chance have any poisonous snakes?"
"Uh, we have a Tibetan pit viper in the reptile section. Why do you ask?"
"No reason, just planning on using it to KILL MYSELF!"
An explanation seems appropriate. See, it wasn't long after Jin, Noel, and Makoto's emotional battle with Tsubaki in an attempt to break the mind control that the Imperator, aka Izanami, had placed on Tsubaki. The team were now at a local hospital to ensure that Yayoi was truly ok from such an intense fight. Well, at least four of them were.
Ragna had made the brain damaged decision to let Celica A. Mercury lead and they were now, by no surprise, lost, and now standing in a Petsmart as Celica went ga ga over the small animals.
Ms. Mercury was quite an attractive individual really. She had light brown eyes, a slender form with an adequate bust, medium length brown hair tied into a ponytail by a red ribbon. She wore what looked almost looked like a schoolgirl outfit which consisted of a white long sleeve shirt with gold rimmings, a black and gold miniskirt, cape, heels and cuffs. The skirt barely down to Celica's thighs, totally exposing her slender, mesmerizingly beautiful legs.
"Aww, don't be like that, Ragna. I'm almost done in here anyway." Celica cheerfully said.
"You said that twenty minutes ago! And the twenty before that! And before that! We've been in here for an hour! If you want a pet, just grab what you like so we can go to the hospital where the others are!" Ragna yelled.
"Ok, ok. I guess I'll take the ferret. Just let me get my wallet and- Oh! Silly me, I forgot I don't have any money." Celica giggled innocently.
And just like that, he broke.
He began to cry out in anguish in short bursts as he slowly collapsed to his knees, then laid down on the floor, curled into the fetal position, and continued to cry.
"Ragna, are you ok?" Celica asked.
Ragna continued to make his anguish filled sounds. People even started to stare.
"Oh boy. This isn't good. I think I broke him. What am I gonna tell Kokonoe?"
"Celica! There you are!"
Celica then heard a familiar female voice. She looked to her right and saw Noel, Jin, Tsubaki, and Makoto all walking towards her.
"Oh, hi you guys! Aren't you suppose to be at the hospital for Tsubaki?" Celica greeted and asked.
"We got out like a half hour ago! We've been looking for you and Ragna all over town!" Replied Makoto.
"What? Oh right! Ragna did say we've been here for an hour. Right Ragna?"
"AHH! AHHAHA! AGH! AHHHH!"
Was all the Grim Reaper could say. The former soldiers looked at him in confusion as to what he was doing.
"What is wrong with him?" Asked Tsubaki.
"Not sure. I think I broke him." Replied Celica.
"Well we can't deal with this right now, woman! We have to be back at Kagura's branch within an hour. He, Tsubaki and myself have a meeting with the head of the Gokuzuki family." Jin explained.
"AHHH- Wait, what..?"
Ragna just snapped right out of it, which made Jin and the girls all jump.
"Whoa! He's back!" Makoto exclaimed.
"Are you alright, Ragna?" Noel asked.
The Grim Reaper stood back up and faced Jin with a rather serious look.
"Jin, did you say the head of the Gokuzuki family is coming?"
"Yes? They're the last family in the Duodecim that Kagura needs to enlist into his mutiny against the NOL." Jin answered his brother's question.
"Is it a girl? Short with spiky white hair and black eyes? An monstrous hunger that can't or shan't be satisfied?"
"Uh… That doesn't not sound like her, Brother."
Now all of a sudden, Ragna was smiling. Like, ACTUALLY smiling. Like he had just struck oil or something. It kind of creeped the others out a bit because Ragna is more known for his bad temper.
"No way… No fucking way!" Now Ragna was chuckling. An even rarer sight. He just turned around and began running towards the exit.
"Ragna, where are you going?!" Noel shouted to the running rebel.
"Back to the branch! Where else?" Ragna replied.
"Why? Are you… worried what Colonel Mutsuki might do to her?" Tsubaki questioned.
All they could see of Ragna's distant face was that same smirk.
"You guys should be worried what she does to him."
And with that, Ragna ran out the door, not bothering to wait for his allies. And the moment he left, the store clerk returned with an animal in hand.
"Sir, wait! Do you still want this poisonous snake?! No..? Alright… C'mon Wiggly, you wouldn't have liked him anyway."
…
*Kagura's NOL branch. (aka Yggdrasil Seed)*
…
Now in the confines of Kagura Mutsuki's office, sat the Black Knight at his desk with Hibiki Kohaku at his side, and one more across from him. A woman to be exact.
(Normally, we know how this would go… Pig.)
She was fairly young. Looking to be about nineteen. Long, snow white hair down to her back and spiked like a porcupine accompanied by flawless albino skin and pitch black eyes. This woman also dawned a pure white kimono with a yin and Yang symbol on the back, with two small scythes attached to her sides. And to boot, she had the tail of a monkey, which was also white. By all rights, this woman was absolutely beautiful…
Well, she would have been if she wasn't scarfing down a giant platter of bbq pork ribs in front of Mutsuki like she hadn't eaten a solid meal for a week.
Her whole mouth and hands were slathered in bbq sauce, yet astonishingly, her white kimono was spotless. Each bite she took was followed by a beastly grunt and she was chewing so loud and viciously that she might as well have been half tiger, not monkey.
Now normally, Kagura would have been hitting on this girl, but now that he's seeing… this… He's worried about loosing a finger. Even poor Hibiki was nervous from watching such an animalistic hunger in a person.
"Lord Kagura, are you going to start the negotiation?" The assassin whispered into his superior's ear.
"And take platter away from this monster and get my head bitten off? What are you, nuts?" Kagura replied in a whisper.
"Well, we can't just sit here and watch… 'Lady' Gokuzuki… I want to say eat..? We only have so long with this meeting."
"Look, she's almost done. Let's just hold off talking a few more seconds and-"
*SLUUUUUUURP*
Mutsuki was cut off by a down right disturbingly loud slurp. He and Hibiki saw it was the girl as she deep throated a whole rib, and was pulling the bone out of her mouth as she used her teeth to scrape all the meat off it. Once it was out of her mouth, the bone revealed to be totally clean of the meat that covered it.
"DMNE! *gulp* Ahh… I mean done!" She stated.
The two could only stare in disgust and terror, sweat dripping from their foreheads.
'That right there just gave me a de-rection…' Mutsuki thought.
"I trust that… you're done, Lady Gokuzuki?" Hibiki said, trying not to gag.
"You bet! Those ribs kicked ass! Oh, and call me Silver. Ms. makes me sound like an old prune." She replied, whiling her hands and face with a couple of napkins.
"Well alright then, Silver. Let's get down to busine- TAO, STOP SCRATCHING AT MY DOOR!" Kagura screamed.
"BUT TAO SMELLS RIBS!"
Once Silver was finished cleaning up, Kagura could finally return to the topic at hand. He began to explain to Silver his plan to overthrow the Imperator and hand over control of the NOL to a more capable and compassionate leader. Kagura had already got the rest of the Duodecim to aline with him in his rebellion. He only needed to convince Silver now, she being the head of the Gokuzuki family. But Silver was known among the families to be stubborn at times, and never agrees to anything without weighing the pros and cons of the subject at hand first. Luckily, Kagura knew Silver had one fatal weakness…
Food.
That's why there was a rack of ribs in his office. Kagura ordered them for Silver in order to sweeten up the deal. Only challenge was getting them to the office without Taokaka noticing them. You know, Tao being Tao. But back to the conversation at hand. After Kagura finished explaining to Silver his goal, the girl was left totally shocked.
"So this is your endgame, Colonel? A full out rebellion?" Silver gasped.
Mutsuki nodded in response, as did Hibiki. The other families knew that Kagura was bold and a visionary, but to attempt to overthrow the Imperator. This was extreme, even for his standards.
"Colonel Mutsuki, umm… Are you, how you say… Crazy, stupid, or both?!" Silver questioned Kagura with shock in her voice.
"Watch your tongue, Lady Gokuzuki!" Hibiki snapped.
The Black Knight raised his hand in front of his subordinate, a sign to calm down.
"I'm fully aware of what I'm doing, and what I'm asking you, Silver. And I wouldn't be asking if I knew that I wasn't going to go through with this." Kagura replied.
"But still… To overthrow the Imperator… Colonel, not everyone in the Duodecim have your opinion on how our government operates. This could end up turning into another war, one even bloodier than the last. Have you thought of that?"
Silver was right. It has only been a few years since the Ikaruga Civil War was put to an end, and many soldiers lost their lives, enemy and ally alike. Kagura himself almost lost his life on the battlefield if not for Hibiki and the NOL's Wings of Justice unit by his side.
However, just before Kagura could reply to that, the door barged open and in came a anxious Ragna.
"Kagura, is she here?!" Bloodedge hopefully shouted.
"TAO WANT RIBS, MEOW!"
And zooming right past him was Taokaka.
"Damnit Ragna! I'm in the middle of a meeting! We can have our rematch afte-"
"Ragna?!"
Silver's exclamation interrupted Kagura's yelling. The snow haired girl was in complete shock, as was Ragna. The two bleach heads just stared at each other for what felt like hours. It was as if they were lost siblings that were separated since adolescence. Silver covered her mouth with her hands and tears of joy began to stream down her face, while a bright-as-the-sun smile created onto Ragna's face, staring in disbelief.
"No way! Silver, it is you!"
"R-Ragna! Oh my god! I don't believe it!"
And then the two bolted towards each other at top speed. Silver wrapped her arms around Ragna's neck as Ragna lifted Silver up off the ground by her legs and spun around. Both of them holding the other close in their embrace while they laughed happily. Once Ragna stopped twirling, the two looked into each other's eyes once more; smiles plastered to their faces. Smiles that left Kagura and Hibiki at a loss for words… All while Tao was mowing on Silver's rib bones.
"Hibiki… What's happening?" Kagura asked his assistant.
All Hibiki could do was shrug in confusion. Normally, Kohaku is one of the know-it-alls of the team, and if he doesn't know what is going on right now, who can?
"Holy crap! I can't believe it's really you- Why do you smell like BBQ? Shit, not important. How the hell are ya?!" Ragna excitedly asked.
"I've been good! Actually, I should be asking you that. I thought I'd never see you again." Silver replied with an equal amount of joy in her voice.
Ragna's smile only got brighter.
"Hey, I told you I'd find you again. And I always keep my promises, Sil." He said with a loving tone.
Now Silver's smile got bigger. She moved her right hand from around Ragna's neck to cup the left side of his face.
"That you do, Rags."
The two of them once again stared in silence for a few seconds, just gazing into each other's eyes, like flawless jewels. Ragna's left emerald and right ruby, and Silver's obsidian eyes. As they continued to stare, Silver slowly leaned in closer. Ragna, noticing this, turned his head a bit out of the way.
"Whoa! Uh, Sil. Don't you think maybe before anything that we should, you know, catch up on lost-"
"Oh, shut the fuck up and kiss me, dumbass!"
"Ok."
So Silver pulled Ragna's face towards hers and smashed her lips onto his. They were now both locked in a deep kiss; their tongues dancing a forbidden dance in each other's mouths, an internal tango between two lovers on a start night. Silver's left arm wrapped around the back of Ragna's head so she could hold his head in place. Both of them moaning into the kiss as their passion only grew deeper. Not caring about their surroundings, only each other… Ok, maybe lost siblings was a bad example for these two…
Speaking of surroundings, Kagura's jaw had just dropped to the floor and his left eye began to twitch. Hibiki's whole face had turned red from embarrassment. All while Tao paid more attention to the rib bones. What was going on?! Ragna just barges in, hugs the head of the Gokuzuki family, and then they just start swapping saliva with each other like a couple of horny teenagers! And RAGNA was a part of it all! RAGNA THE BLOODEDGE!
Ragna and Silver only continued their moment of passion, not letting anything get in the way of it. Even when the door opened once more and Jin and the girls walked in, getting a great view of the show!
Jin: "Kagura, have you seen my brothAAAGH?! *high pitched shrill*"
Noel: "HUUUUUUUUUUH?!"
Tsubaki: "OH MY GOD! IS THAT LADY GOKUZUKI?!"
Makoto: "HOLY CRUD NUTS, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!"
Celica: "Aww, Ragna has a girlfriend! That's so romantic!"
Taokaka: "MEOOOW! These pork rib bones are yummy! Huh? What's Good Guy doing to Mrs. Monkey?"
Though it was like their screams, and Celica's innocent giggle, went right into one of their ears and out the others as Ragna and Silver only continued their kiss. Ragna then slammed Silver onto Kagura's desk while still kissing, only intensifying things even further.
"K-Kagura, what's going on here?!" Makoto questioned in shock.
"I don't know! Ragna just barged in and then he and Silver here just started having sex in my office! I hope they don't have sex in my office…" Kagura replied in panic.
"You wretched harpie! GET YOUR DISGUSTING APE HANDS OFF MY BROTHER- AGH!"
Jin was about to go slashing in out of sheer rage, but Ragna spun off the desk, still making out with Silver, and smashed his foot into Jin's knee, breaking it like a twig. Jin shrieked in agony as the bone ripped out of his leg pit while Ragna and Silver returned to the desk.
"Wow, they do not like to do get interrupted, do they?" Makoto stated.
"Well we can't just let them have sex right here! We have to at least get there attention." Hibiki urged.
"If you say so. Hey Ragna!" Kagura called out.
Nothing. This time Tsubaki tried.
"Ragna the Bloodedge!"
Still nothing. Now everyone.
"RAGNA!!!"
"WHAT?!"
Both Ragna and Silver FINALLY broke their kiss to scream at whoever screamed at them. Both of them burning with disappointed rage from being interrupted. Finally, Ragna noticed all of his companions in the room with him and Silver, and they all had looks of shock and confusion on their faces.
"…Oh, hi guys. When the hell did you all get here?" Ragna asked like he was born yesterday.
"You seriously didn't realize we were in the room? You got off the desk to kick Major Kisaragi in the knee!" Makoto pointed out.
The Grim Reaper looked down at the floor.
"I'm in so much pain!" Jin cried.
"That was Jin? That's just instinct for me. Probably would have done it even if it was Noel. Ha!"
That made Noel's face turn blue. She even stepped behind Makoto for safety.
"Ragna, what is going on here?! Why did we just walking on you kissing a girl. No, better question. Why were you kissing her at all?!" Nanaya questioned.
"And why didn't she reject you on sight?" Kagura added.
"The fuck you say?!"
Bloodedge was about to charge at Kagura for what he just said if Silver didn't grab his arm to stop him. Ragna eventually cooled off and figured he should explain.
"Alright. Everyone, this is Silver Gokuzuki. My girlfriend."
…
…
…
…
"WHAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!"
"Good for you, Ragna!" Celica said.
The entire team stood frozen in their place. Shock and consisting racing through their minds as while Ragna and Silver stood there with smiles on their faces.
"So they took that just as well as I expected." Ragna joked.
"Are your friends always this dramatic?" Silver asked.
"Eh, more 'acquaintances' right now. But yes."
"Ragna- I- How did- Ho-How did you get- How did-"
Kagura couldn't even get a full sentence out of his mouth. Luckily, Hibiki knew how to fix Kagura when he was like this and slapped him over the back of the head, resetting his brain.
"How did this happen?!" He finally said.
Ragna chuckled from Kagura's earlier meltdown, then began to tell everyone the full story.
"Oh man, I don't know where to begin. It's a long and… not so confusing as hell story…"
…
*Unnamed woods, 2193 AD*
…
The winds howled through the trees of the forest, shaking their leaves as it passed by. It was a clear day in the middle stages of summer. Not a cloud could be seen in the sky, revealing its blue void at its fullest. The sun shone down on the land, warming it with its rays. All and all, it was a perfect day for just about anything.
Like training.
Within a large clearing stood a young man, appearing to be in his mid teens, holding a wooden sword in his right hand. The young man had spiky white hair, green and red odd eyes and what looked like a prosthetic right arm. His outfit consisted of a red and black sleeveless turtleneck, black pants and steel tipped shoes.
"Ok... This is it. I'm gonna get it right this time. I'm really gonna do it." He said to himself.
The boy gripped his wooden sword and a look of determination cemented itself on his face. He took a deep breath... and began.
"ARRRG! CAPTAIN OAGLE HERE, READY TO PLUNDER YEE RICHES AND SWAY YEE WOMEN FOR MESELF! YOHOHO!!!"
...
...
...
"Thank god no one heard that..."
Ok, "training" might have been the wrong term this time.
"Ugh! What the hell are you even doing, Ragna? You're way to old to be still playing pirate. Besides, you gotta focus on your training if you wanna get back at that Terumi freak!" The young Ragna said to himself.
The boy then looked at his right arm. It was completely wrapped up on black bandages all the way to his shoulder. He then sighed in frustration.
"But what's even the point of this training? I mean I have the most powerful thing in the world literally attached to me, and the old man won't even let me use it!"
Ragna was referring to his new arm. Though, it wasn't actually an arm. It was in fact the Azure Grimoire, aka the BlazBlue. He didn't know how he got it. All he knew was that it just magically appeared where his right arm use to be and it saved him from bleeding out a year ago.
He also had these weird scars on his neck as well. They looked like puncture wounds from something that bit him, and he had no idea what. Heck, most of the fire's aftermath was a blur to him. That only added to Ragna's irritation.
"UGH! This sucks! First a lab, then the church, and now THIS?! When am I gonna get a fucking break?!" Ragna screamed.
Just then, he heard a sound come from nearby, like something falling down on the forest floor. Ragna turned to his backside and saw a figure Laying on the grass. The boy ran up to the figure and saw that it was a girl.
She appeared to be a few years younger than him. Probably about by three years. She had long hair, white as snow, and a very strange looking outfit, like something from a cheap sci-fi movie. Ragna was dumbfounded, by both this girl's sudden appearance, and by her timing.
'Uh... Ok..? What's this suppose to mean, big guy?"
The teen crouched down and turned the unconscious girl onto her back and began to examine her. There didn't appear to be any wounds or broken bones he could see. He also brought his ear up to mouth to check her breathing. It was stable.
'Ok. Her breathing is normal. No injuries. Must had knocked herself out on impact or something. But in all accounts, she's alive, whoever she is... Maybe I should try and wake her up.' Ragna thought.
"Hey. Are you ok? Hey, lady! Wake up and smell the roses!"
A groan escaped from the girl's lips and here eyes twitched. Slowly she began to open her eyes, revealing that they were a deep black. She got a look at her savior upon awakening. They were a bit blurry, but her vision quickly adjusted.
"And Snow White lives. Are you o-"
Without any warning whatsoever, the girl grabbed Ragna by his shirt and smashed her cranium right into the boy's nose. Ragna then fell onto his behind, blood gushing from his schnoz.
"AGH! My nose! What the hell?!" Ragna cried.
The girl only flared at him, eyes laced with both hate and fear.
"Leave me alone! GO AWAY!" She shrieked.
The girl lunged at Ragna and knocked him onto the dirt. She then went on to bitting his left ear. Ragna screamed in pain and tried to push the girl off him, yet no matter how hard he pushed, she didn't move at all. The girl had to have been only two years younger than him and not even a hundred pounds, yet she was as heavy as a boulder and strong as a gorilla.
"Hey! Stop! I'm not trying to hurt you, kid!" Ragna shouted.
"You won't kill me! I'll kill you! I'll kill YOU!!! YOU BASTARD!!!
"What are- AGH! WHAT THE-
The girl then bit down with all her might and ripped Ragna's ear clean off his head. The boy wailed and blood flowed like water from his head.
"AAAAAAGH! HOLY FUCK! MY EAR! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, LADY?!"
She spit the ear out and finally looked directly at the boy's face. The girl immediately began to calm down and a look of shock was plastered on her face. She jumped right off Ragna and backed up against a tree, wide-eyed with hands covering her mouth.
"Huh?! Oh no..! I-I'm so sorry! I thought you were one of the people chasing me!" The girl cried.
"People chasing YOU?! Who?! The Predator?!" Ragna screamed.
"I'm sorry. Here, let me help."
The girl got up and ran toward Ragna. The boy frightfully grabbed his wooden sword and pointed it at the girl while trying to crawl backwards away.
"WHAT?! Nonononono! You get the hell back, you lunachick!" He warned in a panicked voice.
"It's ok. I won't hurt you." She replied softly.
The girl quickly pulled the wooden sword from Ragna's grip and tossed it behind her. Well, when I say tossed, I really mean she flung it back with so much force that it went flying to the sky and vanished into a Team Rocket style twinkle. Ragna's face was rid of fear and left with total shock. How did she do that?!
"What the fuuuuu..." The boy couldn't even finish.
"Let me take a look at your nose." The girl said.
"Huh? Hey, what are you- OW!"
She only so much as poked it and pain shot through his nasal area. That and the fact that it was sideways meant one thing.
"Oh no, I think I broke it." The girl sadly stated.
"Oh reeeally? It's broken? Huh, I couldn't even tell. You know, on account of all the agony..." Ragna retorted sarcastically.
"Sarcasm is not helping your situation. Hold still, I'll fix it." The girl instructed.
"Really? You can just magic my nose back onto my skull-*CRUNCH* GAAAAAHHAHAHA! Motherfucker!"
Before Ragna could finish, the girl grabbed his nose in his hand and twisted it hard and quickly, send waves of unimaginable pain through Ragna's face. He screamed so hard that he thought he would set himself from such pain. The girl let go of his nose and it was back to its original position.
"Sadly, I can't. But I can set it back into its original position. You'll need a medical practitioner to reattach it." She said.
'A "medical practitioner"? What, is too much for her to just say doctor?' Ragna though, still in pain.
"Ok, now I'll need something for the blood..."
The girl looked around but saw nothing. She eventually turned to Ragna's shirt and grabbed it, tearing off a chunk of it.
"Hey! This was my favorite shirt!" He whined.
"It also makes a good rag for your face. Hold still please."
She began to gently wipe Ragna's face with the cloth, removing the crimson fluid from his skin. Just a minute ago she flung a wooden sword into space like the Hulk, now she was wiping his face with such gentle strokes that she would make a painter envy her movements. The girl wasn't even making contact with Ragna's broken nose at all as she cleaned his face.
"There. That outta do until you wash." She said.
Ragna didn't know what to say as he was left with nothing but confusion. A few seconds ago this girl was about to kill him, now she's cleaning him up and tending to his wounds? What was she playing at?
"Uh... Thanks... I guess..." He managed to say.
"No problem. It was the least I could do for the trouble." The girl replied.
A few seconds of awkward silence passed between the two. On Ragna's side it was because his was still confused on this woman's strange behavior, and with her, she was eagerly awaiting a reply from Ragna. The silence lasted three minutes until Ragna finally spoke up.
"Umm... I don't suppose... that you can do anything... about the ear..?"
"I wish. Oh god, I'm so sorry. I feel awful." The girl said.
"It's fine. You clearly didn't mean to attack me, and from how spooked you were, I'd say you just seen Hell or something." Ragna chuckled.
"Hell..? Um, who or what is Hell?"
What is Hell? Did she actually just ask that? Ragna just stared at her in confusion.
"You don't know what Hell is? What, you never been to Sunday School before?"
"School..?"
"Yeah. School. Where you learn stuff, like math, science, history, dealing with the popular crowd who are more focused on turning themselves into plastic sluts and homeless bums than making something of their lives." The boy explained.
The strange girl listened well to Ragna's words and attempted to make sense of them in her mind. She felt as though she would know what he's talking about, until it finally hit her.
"Ohh! You mean like an education system. Yeah, we don't have that on my planet. It's for weaklings." She said with an innocent smile at the end.
…
Did she just say "Planet"? Those were her exact words? Now Ragna was just down right weirded out.
"On your whatonthewherenow?" He blurted.
The girl's face changed to a more puzzled look.
"My planet. Planet Vegeta. You've never heard of it? It's the home world of the Saiyans, the greatest warriors in the galaxy. Nearly every system has heard of us."
"………The fuck are you smoking?"
The woman fell silent for a few seconds, wondering why Ragna was having a hard time understanding her, until she came to conclusion.
"Oh. You really haven't heard of us. No wonder you haven't run in terror yet. Actually, this is even better! This means that this planet must be safe from their reach! Thank goodne- Hey! What are you doing?"
Out of nowhere, Ragna grabbed the girl by her hand and lifted her back onto her feet. His face was riddled with both confusion and even concern for this strange girl.
"Ok, Ms. Crazy. I think it's time I bring you to Jubei and find out what kind of mushrooms you just scarfed down." Ragna said with worried haste in his voice.
"Hey, take it easy! And what's a mushroom?"
"…Yeah, let's hurry."
With that, Ragna began walking towards his master with the girl in toe. He tugged on his hand hard, but only because he wanted to get her to Jubei as quickly as he could. The girl tried to keep up with Ragna's fast walking as best as she could in her current condition. She then looked down at her hand. For some odd reason, Ragna's seemed to fit perfectly in her own.
…
*Present*
…
As Ragna and Silver explained the story of their meeting, the whole gang had moved down to the mess hall for coffee. Silver was seen sitting right beside Ragna with a mocha-chino in her hands, while Ragna with black coffee. The two were just so casually rubbing their noses against each other's as if they were teenagers in first time love.
The rest of the team had some very mixed opinions on the take. Celica found it plain adorable, everyone else was a big creeped out, considering this was the Grim Reaper, Ragna the Bloodedge, acting like a romantic fool. And Jin… Well, you can guess.
"Aww, I missed this big ol' spiky head of yours. Glad to know you never ditched that 'just got out of bed' look. It always suited you." Silver complimented.
"Really? Well, then you should see me when I really get out of bed. That's when things get real messy, Sil." Ragna chuckled devilishly.
That made Silver giggle and blush, and the others back away a bit.
"Would you pansies relax! It's not like we're having sex again." Ragna aggressively assured.
"Sorry Ragna. It's just… Well, we don't really see you acting like this so much. So it makes us a little… Uncomfortable." Noel explained.
"That so? How does he normally act around you guys?" Asked Silver.
Everyone looked at each other for a minute, then out came their personal opinions of the man.
Noel: "Kinda rude."
Kagura: "An A-to-the-hole."
Makoto: "A short tempered prick."
Tsubaki: "The root of all evil."
Hibiki: "Completely unprofessional."
Taokaka: "At times, a dog person."
Celica: "Kind hearted and caring once you get to know him!"
Jin: "You can't have him, you skank..!"
"Well… Good to know what you guys really think about me… Wait, Tao? Where'd you come from?" Ragna asked, just noticing the Kaka.
"Mhm… Ok, so good to know nothings changed. Just they way I like my Dark Angel."
"I only spread my wings for you, my White Star."
The two then pecked at each others lips quickly and cuddled close together. Tsubaki ended up gagging at very sight.
"Urp! I'm sorry. I can't watch this. It's like looking into a hole that leads to the depths of Hell." She said in disgust.
"Tsubaki, if you're in love with me, you should just say so." Ragna sarcastically replied.
Saying that Tsubaki wasn't a big fan of Ragna would be an understatement. To her, he was the source of all evil in the world, and who could blame her. Ragna was not only a wanted terrorist know for destroying military branches and the murders of countless soldiers, but add on the Black Beast that set up camp inside him. Why Noel was so attached to Ragna was a question with an answer that always evaded her.
Though, upon hearing her remark, Silver shot Tsubaki a glare as if she were about to eat Yayoi alive.
"I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear that right."
Gokuzuki then leaped out of her seat and grabbed Tsubaki by her cloak, pulling her face up to her own. This worried Noel and Makoto as they see their friend in desires.
"Tsubaki!" Noel exclaimed.
"Whoa! Easy there, Silver! Let her go!" Makoto pleaded.
They're pleas fell on deaf ears.
"Could you repeat what you said about my Ragna? Don't worry, I won't bite, you… You… Sorry, who are you?"
Silver couldn't quite put her finger on who Tsubaki was, due to not meeting her until now. In fact, she didn't really know anyone else besides Kagura and Hibiki.
"Huh? Excuse me? Lady Gokuzuki, I am Tsubaki Yayoi of the Yayoi family! We've met before!" Tsubaki reminded Silver.
"We have?"
"Yes! At the Duodecum's Christmas party last year!"
"We did?"
"I brought my mother's famous chicken parmesan casserole."
"Oh right! Red Headed Casserole Chick! How are you?"
That just made Ragna burst out in laughter. He clenched his gut from laughing so hard.
"Pffft- Hahahaha! Oh shit, right! That reminds me. I didn't introduce you to the others when they got here."
True. Ragna was so caught up in his story that he failed to acquaint Silver with his friends/acquaintances.
"Silver, you've already met Tsubaki. This is Noel, that's Makoto over there, right here is Celica, cat girl down there is Taokaka, and finally, the jealous freak there is my little brother Jin."
Hearing Jin's name, Silver released Tsubaki. She turned her stare to the man in blue.
"Wait. Jin? As in the Jin who attacked Ragna as a kid, burned down their own home, cut Ragna's arm off, and left him for dead? That Jin..?"
"Rrrr..! Huh? Oh! *Ahem* Forgive my rudeness, Lady Gokuzuki. Yes. I am Major Jin Kisaragi. It is a pleasure to make your acquaint-"
*Scene Shift: Sky above Yabiko*
"YOU BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!!! *BOOM* OWW!"
For those who don't know what the fuck just happened, Silver literally grabbed Jin by his trachea, flew to the highest peak of the city, and then threw him full force down to the ground. (Yes, Silver can fly) She then returned tk the mess hall, where everyone stared at her in pure shock.
"Wh-what on earth was that?!" Shrieked Tsubaki.
"Oh, Jin cut off Ragna's arm so I dropped him from 80,000ft."
"...That's my girl. Ok, now where were we..?"

*2193 AD*
…
After tracking through the forest for almost an hour, Ragna finally met up with Jubei, his teacher and guardian. He had told the old cat about the mysterious girl he had run into. It was difficult to explain, but Ragna tried his best to repeat the things the girl told him, and why he was missing an ear.
"Whoa, whoa! Slow down there, son. Start over from the beginin'." Jubei said.
"Like I said, Master Jubei. I was out training when I found this girl laying on the grass. When she woke up, she attacked me, but that's because she was being chased by someone or something." Ragna explained to his teacher.
Jubei nodded his head, listening to Ragna's words. The idea of Ragna just finding an unconscious girl out of nowhere is certainly far fetched, but once he saw the fear that lingered in the girl's eyes, he had to believe the boy. Jubei then turned to the girl in the strange outfit.
"And you claim that… You're from another planet? Are you sure?" The cat asked to confirm.
The girl nodded.
"Yes. I'm sure. Why would I lie to you? I don't know why you two are having a hard time believing me. Don't you guys have interplanetary travel on your planet?"
Both Ragna and Jubei sat there in awkward silence, trying to process what this girl was yammering about.
"Alright, whatever drugs your takin', I highly recommend you reduce the dosage." .
The girl's vein began to surface from under her skin, signaling her irritation.
"I'm not on anything! I'm telling the truth! Why are you two having such a hard time understanding?" She said, raising her voice.
"Cuz aliens don't exist, lady. They're just fictional. Stupid stories crazy people make up for attention." Ragna pointed out.
That last remark made the girl gasp in astonishment, as if she were offended.
"Did you just call me stupid, you little twink?!" She yelled at Ragna with anger lacing her voice.
"Huh?! I didn't say that! And who are you calling a twink, Princess?!" Ragna retaliated
"I am not a princess!"
"Alright kids, break it up." Jubei said, getting between the two adolescents.
Ragna and the girl backed off immediately. Ragna knew full well not to tick off Jubei. That would be a very grave mistake for him. The girl merely grunted and turned her head away.
"Universe almighty, I fix your nose and you thank me by insulting me? Your race must be a bunch of pricks." She said with a glare.
"You're the reason it got broken! You smashed your thick skull into it like you were Saint-14. I just went over to see if you were ok. and then you go bananas! Pun intended!"
"Hey! I take offense to that! And I- I…"
The girl hated to admit it, but he was right. She did attack and injure him, and all he was doing was trying to help. Guilt began to surface in the girl.
"I… *huff* Ok, you're right. Guess it is my fault."
Anger vanished from the girl's face and a look of sadness was put in place of it. Ragna's face began to soften too. He just let his anger run wild again. He didn't mean to make the girl feel bad, so he walked over and placed and a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey c'mon, don't start crying, kid. You were just scared." He comforted her, or at least tried to.
Dealing with his own or other people's feelings were never Ragna's strong suit, mostly because the only emotion he really feel most of the time is… well, anger.
Surprisingly enough though, the act of kindness actually did work a bit, as the girl's face perked up a little. That was a win for Ragna. He lifted his hand off the girl and put on a slight smile.
"Don't think I properly introduced myself. I'm Ragna. This is my teacher, Jubei." He said, pointing to himself, then his master.
"Howdy." Jubei greeted in a friendly tone.
They're friendly smiles put the girl more at ease. Her guilt melted away like butter and her smile grew brighter.
"Hello Ragna. Greetings Jubei. It's nice to meet you. I'm Karrotta."
"Uh… Karrotta..?" Ragna questioned.
Now that's an out of nowhere name if he had hear one.
"Yep. The one and only." She happily repeated.
"Uh huh. Yeah, I'm not calling you that." A dumbfounded Ragna said.
The girl looked at him in confusion.
"Why? It's my name. It's not like I'm making fun of how stupid your name sounds." She retorted with a half insult.
"Hey! 'Ragna' ain't stupid. Least mine doesn't sound like a vegetable." Ragna shot back.
"Kids, let's not get into this again." Jubei pleaded.
"Alright, alright. Look, how about i just call you… Silver?"
"Silver?"
Ragna then reached towards her and lifted a lock of her hair with his fingers, letting it run freely through his artificial arm. Clearly he was pointing out the obvious clue to that nickname.
"Yeah. Like your hair. Figured it would stick."
He wasn't wrong. Though her hair was more white, it seemed to shine in the sunlight like the most flawless of silver. She blushed at Ragna's show of contact. Then again, having a good looking boy's hand caress your hair ever so gently would make any girl turn red… Or run away in the opposite direction. But aside, she thought the name over in her head. She liked the sound of it, and it would let her blend in with the crowd.
"Silver… It's… It's nice. I like it."
Ragna smiled a bit and gently released her hair.
"Then it's settled. Nice to meet you, Silver."
"As it is to you, Ragna." The girl, Silver, replied.
The two smiled. By then Jubei started to whisper in Ragna's ear.
"Silver? Like the Sonic the Hedgehog character?"
"Well it was all I could come up with, Master. You prefer I call her 'Snowball'?"
"He's people's least favorite character."
"Shut up. He's awesome."
"You guys know I can hear you, right?" Silver pointed out with a laugh.
There's were looks of embarrassment on the guys' faces, but they soon started to break out into laughter along with the girl.
Later off into the day, night had fallen and Jubei had prepared a fire. He had gone off to search for food as he and Ragna rotate hunting duties and was the cat's turn. Jubei was kind enough to let Silver spend the night with them, as the forest was dangerous at night. So Ragna and Silver were sitting together in front of the flame making small talk. Though, it was awkward for Ragna, as he had no experience talking to girls before, besides Saya and the sister who took care of them.
"So, uh… Silver… What are you planning on doing once morning comes?" Ragna asked.
Silver hesitated before she answered.
"I'm… not sure. I don't really know where I'm gonna go, to be honest."
Ragna looked at Silver's face. It was riddled with fear and uncertainty. This was how he felt when he first lost everything. Looking at Silver was like looking in a mirror. A kid with nothing. Alone and afraid. He didn't want that to happen to someone else.
"Why don't you stay with us?"
Silver looked up, eyes slightly widened.
"W-what..?" She said.
"Well, you got nowhere to go, right? Why not hang with us? I could talk with my master. I'm sure he wouldn't mind another pupil." Ragna explained.
She was, saying surprised was an understatement. For Ragna to just offer something like this out of the blue.
"Y-you would do that for me?" Silver asked in disbelief.
"Yeah. You got nowhere to go. Plus, it wouldn't be as lonely training with someone else for a change. What do you say?"
Silver wanted to speak up, but couldn't find the words. She was too taken aback. She stayed silent with her hand over her mouth. Finally, she found her voice again.
"Ragna, I… I don't know what to say… Such kindness is unheard of among my people…"
"Really? Well luckily, I'm not your people. I'm just me. So, you wanna stick around?"
"…I think so-"

*Present*
…
"OHMYGOD! KAGURA!"
*splash*
"GYAAAAAAH! MY EYES! MY EYES!"
Ragna's story got cut short when Makoto suddenly got up out of her chair and threw a cup of boiling hot coffee right into Kagura's face. Mutsuki screamed in pain from the scalding beverage getting into his eyes. He jumped up and down like a kangaroo while everyone looked in shock and confusion.
"Whoa! What the hell, Makoto?!" Ragna exclaimed.
"What?! Kagura slid his hand under my ass and grabbed at it! I'm the real victim here!" Makoto defended.
"You use to love it when I did that, babe! Agh! It burns!" Kagura cried.
"What made you think I'm ok with it now, idiot?!" Makoto screamed before driving a level 3 Impact powered punch right into Kagura's boys.
*CRUNCH*
"DOHO! STOP HITTING ME!"
"Seriously, what happened between you two..?" Noel questioned.
Though everyone else looked worried about Kagura, Ragna and Silver laughed uncontrollably. Mostly because they both knew that this stuff happens to Kagura a lot.
So they sat there, in each others arms, laughing like they did when they were kids. Memories flashing through their minds. And little did they know, things were only just beginning for their reunion.
