Twilight has spoiled me.

Please read this.

Sighs.* This was what I was afraid of. The Twilight community is nicer than yall… and now, it's hard to go back to Star wars. Plus, I'm fingerling over Twilight. Anyhow, sorry for the late chapter, twilight has… occupied me. Can't say when the next chapter will be out either… do yall even read these? Anyhow, feel free to give predictions, input, ideas, suggestions, or anything else. Just please review. The reviews are my own personal brand of writer's heroine. (Yes that was a twilight reference) anyways… enjoy I guess…

"Obi Wan," Obi Wan turned around as Anakin ran up to him. "Let's go sparing." It was, indeed, long past time. The rebels tried, as they may, to kill Sidious, to no avail. They needed a true jedi. They needed Anakin and him.

"I suppose it is time for that, now, isn't it."

Anakin nodded, "indeed." Walking down to one of the empty rooms, Obi Wan thought to himself. This was after all, a sudden- though not by any means unwelcome- request. Anakin had become… dejected and quiet. Such things were expected when you had suffered as much as he had but… it was still unnerving, because the Anakin he knew- the Anakin he raised- the Anakin that had been torn from him… was loud, arrogant, and so… outwards. He wore his heart on his sleeve and that was what had made Anakin… Anakin. Now, he was shy, quiet, and subdued. He winced at the slightest things- and everyone, including him, pretended they didn't notice. He refused to come near lightsabers, and if one was ignited near him, he'd flee the room, being found near hours later, trying not to panic. He kept his mental shields down at all times, and…

"Obi Wan!"

"What?"

"There you are! I've been calling your name for the past fifteen minutes!!"

"Oh." Obi Wan noticed Anakin had a lightsaber in his hand. He also noticed the- almost scared- look Anakin gave it, as if it would jump out of his hand and impale him. Which, honestly, probably wasn't far from his real fears.

Obi Wan smiled grimly, and they ignited their lightsabers in unison. Obi Wan hadn't said anything, but he hadn't had a worthy opponent in a long time. He was probably just as, if not slightly less, out of turn than Anakin.

And so they entered the dance of sabers. Obi Wan, out of courtesy, ignored the pained grimace, plastered onto Anakin's face. It was an accomplishment for him to get this far.

It didn't take long for a mistake to be made.

A simple slip up.

Of course, they'd tuned out lightsabers all the way down. It only burned…

But Obi Wan accidentally grazed Anakin's arm…

And that was all it took for panic to set in. He seemed… disconnected. Anakin went utterly still, breathing erratically. His eyes darted everywhere, but didn't focus on anything, and his force signature all but disappeared in a ball similar in size as a bead from a necklace… a pear on a earring. Tremors shook him where he stood and no matter how hard Obi Wan tried, Anakin didn't hear him. At all.
