I paddle my feet in the water as I wait for Adrien to come back hopefully with food. Tikki flies out and lands on the ground next to me. "I feel as if we've been shipwrecked, even if we don't have a ship," I giggle to Tikki. "That may be a problem," she sighs. I pick her up and cuddle her. "Don't worry, Adrien and I will figure this out."
Though I hope he comes back soon, for the sun is hot and sweat drips down my face. Its to be expected, but I need to adjust to the tropical climate. "I found some grapes," Adrien says, coming back. My mouth waters at the plump purple berries and I pop one in my mouth, sighing happily as it bursts in my mouth. "Delicious."
"I found the cabin, but I didn't go in. I wanted to wait for you," he says. "Were is it?" I ask, shading my eyes from the sun. "Just through that clump of trees there. You ready?" He holds out his hand for me to take, and I wonder if he's nervous. I am.
The cabin when I can see it through the trees looks cozy, at least it will be when we clean it up and make it our own. Slowly, I walk up to the cabin door, Adrien by my side. I hesitate. "Why aren't you knocking?" Adrien whispers in my ear, and I jump. "Who are you, Olaf?" I grin at him. "No, when I'm not Adrien, I'm Cat Noir, but I do like warm hugs." "Spots on."
There, that feels better. If anything leaps out at me, I can whack it with my yo-yo. The door creaks open, and the air on my arm stands on end. It's dark inside the cabin. "Adrien, can you transform? We could use your night vision here."
I hold Cat's hand tightly as we step inside and the floorboard gives a loud creak. The floor is covered with leaves and dirt, and I can feel my eyes watering as its very stuffy in here. However, when Cat opens one of the shutters, sunlight pours into the room, and it becomes an almost different place.
A fireplace graces the center of the room and through a little door is the kitchen. Cat finds a cozy bedroom, or at least it will be. I spy a couple of brooms in the corner. "Let's start by sweeping the leaves out and then we'll see about the dirt."
We keep the door open, but we have our share of sneezes. Its around sunset when we finish and my arms are aching. "Princess?" "Hm?" "What about supper?" I groan, slapping my forehead. "I didn't think of that!"
Cat glances out the window, watching the waves glint in the late afternoon sunlight. "Hm, I think I have an idea." He trots out of the cabin and I follow curiously. "What are you doing, Kitty?" I ask, watching him stand in the water. "Sh. Cats catch fish, so I'm going to try to catch us some dinner." "I'll believe it when I see it." "Just you watch." "I'm going to collect sticks for a fire."
Now that the sun is going down, the island is much more pleasant and bearable. Its nice to move around too, and not in stiff, jerky movements like when sweeping.
Soon I have a small pile of sticks and start scooping out sand to make a fire pit. When I'm done, I'm quite pleased with it. Now, where is that Cat? I scan the area, but he's nowhere in sight, so I dig in my bag for a match, lighting a small fire. Just in that short time, the sun has set and darkness is falling.
Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder and I jump and turn to find Cat with a fish in his mouth. He drops it into my hands. "See, I caught a fish. Are you proud of me?" "Er, sure, love," I don't want to hold the slippery fish for longer than I have to, and I soon have it roasting in the fire. "That smells good. What's on the agenda for tomorrow, Bugaboo?" "Take a bath first thing. Then its back to cleaning."
The fish is delicious, and I serve it on some decent sized leaves that act as plates. In the light of the fire, Cat helps me set up the tent, and then we crawl in, exhausted. But I can't sleep and I can tell Cat (now Adrien) can't either. A certain longing fills me, and I wonder if I miss Paris. Adrien cuddles close. "You okay?" "Adrien, I….." I find his as a way of answering, for an answer doesn't seem right. A craving builds inside me, as I tug at his shirt. "What do you want, Bugaboo?" he tilts my chin upwards so I can look at him. "I want you."
All of a sudden, Adrien is working at my clothes and I at his. Finally free of that burden I lie down, panting. "Adrien, please."
He lines his body up with mine, then fills me, and we begin to move. Soon we are lost in passion, lost in each other. The pain mixes with the pleasure. I call his name as I tumble over the edge, and we lay there panting. But as soon as I've caught my breath, I brush his chin with my fingertips. "Love me, please? Softly?"
He nods and we make love, just as I wanted, softly and gently. When I fall asleep, I dream of Emma, and all at once I know why I craved sex, because I want to give Adrien a daughter, and become a mother.
The sun brightens the tent, and I can feel Adrien's arm snug around my waist. "Morning, love," he whispers. "Hey," I whisper back. "I don't know about you, but I need a bath. I stink." I giggle, then put a finger to my lips. "Do you hear that?"
The sound of falling water is close by, and I sit up and crawl out of the tent. "Adrien, come out here."
Maybe we weren't lucky to find a clean cabin, but we hit the jackpot with a small waterfall. Best of all, it falls into a small pool with a ring of stones around its base.
"Now, I know you hate baths…." I stop and stare in amazement as Adrien dives into the crystal waters, yelling, "Cannonball!" I giggle and slip in, and oh, my Kwamis! The water feels simply amazing! I wade over to the ledge where I set the shampoo and squirt some into my palm.
I think Adrien secretly likes it as I scrub his hair, getting out all the dirt and who knows what else is in there. I close my eyes sighing happily as he works at my long black hair.
Toweling off and dressing, I feel so refreshed that I could take on anything, but first I need to feed my growling stomach. Adrien gathers the sticks this morning as I stir pancake mix from my pack in the bowl.
He re-emerges minutes later with an arm full of wood, just as my stomach lets out its loudest growl yet. "Goodness, Bugaboo," Adrien grins. Hunger is the best spice and after breakfast, we clean and pack up heading back to the cabin. We make good progress in the morning before it gets to hot, and by noon I'm longing to go sit in the ocean. Adrien comes with me, but just before I can head down to the soft powder sand of the beach, Adrien pulls me behind a big gray rock. I glare at him. "I know you don't like baths, but you had one this morning," I fall silent as Adrien holds a finger to his lips and he's wearing that expression which means he's serious. "Do you hear that?"
I listen hard, hearing the sound of paddling. Someone is near the island, sounds like their in a boat. Question is are they friend or foe? "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe," I say as I stand up. "I trust you," Adrien gives me a soft smile and I feel myself blush.
The people are coming ashore, a young girl like myself maybe nineteen or twenty and a man around Adrien's age. The girl is beautiful, her brown hair woven into a braid, while the man looks strong and kind.
They stop as they see us, and the girl clutches her partner's arm. Then she hurries towards us, her bare feet kicking up the soft powder. "Oh, my poor dears, are you shipwrecked?" I look at Adrien. Its not like I can tell her I'm Ladybug and I used my powers to make a portal to here. Before I can say anything though, she's talking again. "It doesn't matter. I'm Pleiades, and this," she gestures to the man now standing next to her, "is Cyprus. We go by the island most mornings on our way to work on one of the nearby islands." "We just got here yesterday," Adrien explains. "We bought the small cabin, and Marinette and I have been cleaning it since yesterday. I'm Adrien, by the way." We all shake hands, and Pleiades looks at Cyprus. "We need to help them settle into their new home. Then we can show them the island." Adrien holds up his hands. "Oh, that's very kind, but I'm sure you have other things to do…." "Nonsense. After all, what are friends for?"
I chuckle, knowing I'm going to like this spunky girl. With four people working hard, the cabin is cleaned and spotless by late afternoon. Not only that, but Adrien and I have made new friends.
"We'll show you the island tomorrow," Pleiades says as we walk them down to their boat. "Thanks for all your help," Adrien places his hand at my waist as we wave goodbye.
"Ready to go home?" Adrien grins. "We can do anything we want, now that's it all set up." "Oh, I have a few ideas," I smile slyly, and Adrien picks me up to carry me to the cabin. He's ready for Emma or any of our children as much as I am.
