Interlude 16: I'll be back.
"…" Without saying a word, the police officer Akasaka checks out for the night and leaves the station. But just as he exits the building, another person enters. The person in question was a man who appeared to be middle-aged due to his gray hair and wore a black trench coat.
"…" The grey-haired man approaches the front desk without a word until-
"I'm a friend of Ayaka Sajyou. I was told that she's here. Could I see her please?" The older man asks the police officer in front of him.
"No. Can't see her. She's making a statement." The officer replies as he writes something down.
"Where is she?" The man asks once more, which causes the officer to look up at the man.
"Look. It may take a while. Wanna a wait, there's a bench over there." The officer rudely dismisses him.
"…" Without saying anything, the man surveys the room he's in for a few seconds and then…
"…I'll be back." The man spoke as he leaves the building without closing the door behind him. The officer pays no attention to this and continues to focus on the paper he is writing on until he hears a strange sound.
'Chomp. Chomp. Chomp.' The sound of chomping repeated over and over causing the police officer to stop writing. He couldn't focus with such an irritating sound, so he got up and checked out what was going on.
"Who left their dog here? Come on! Scram! You mu-" The officer shouted but stopped himself as soon as he saw what was making that chomping sound. It wasn't a dog like the officer thought. Instead, it was…
…And alligator. Not a normal looking one that was green. This thing was the color black.
"Oh shit." The officer muttered as he attempted to back away slowly, but he was too late. The black alligator noticed him, and, in an instant, it leaped toward him and bit into his chest.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The officer screamed at the top of his lungs as his guts were being forcefully torn out of him against his will. He was quite literally being eaten alive by the black alligator. The screams persisted for only thirty seconds until there was nothing left of him but blood.
"…" After finishing its meal, the black alligator moved forward and was about to find its new prey…
