Years ago I started this personal challenge. And FINALLY I got back into it. I don't have them all written, but I at least have inspirations and chapters lined up, which is significantly more than I have done in YEARS and it feels amazing. I cannot wait to share these short blurbs, even if no one else cares. It just feels wonderful to be creative again.
If you have any inspirations, please comment below. And I would love to hear general feedback as well! Check my page for other stories of Danny Phantom, Avatar, Static Shock, and others to come.
Starfire: She seems quite scared.
Raven: Scared isn't the same as sorry.

Engaged for Starfire
The people of this planet call it a betrothal when you are to be married to another. The vows to another in life for partnership and companionship. My sister called it a political move, with me in the center of it. She demanded my loyalty to my homeland be used as she pleased. The ruse to be rid of me in return for an alliance did not go so well for her. My own people, the Tamaraneans, expected it to be a responsibility. As the Princess, they awaited my nuptials to a false enemy to save my planet. They assumed my role was as a bride and my role would save their lives. My k'norfka allowed me to choose my own love, however that may appear. He was most accepting.
My friends were complicated in their actions. Some approved, reluctantly. Some, were hesitant, but willing to act as supportive friends, no matter my obligations. And some were outright resolved to keep it from happening. As it were, my friends were correct and I was not meant to wed Glgrdsklechhh. I love my wonderous friends from Earth.
But what if this Engagement was more than just a wedding. What if I was meant to be more than a life partner to a stranger, a political piece, a bride? I wanted to be a part of something bigger. I wanted to be a hero to those who could not fight, a sister to one who needed unconditional love, a princess to a people looking for guidance in this strange life, and a friend to those looking for support. I wanted to be a person enjoying life to the fullest and I do not believe I can do that as the Princess of Tamaran.
I gave up my position as royalty. I gave up on my sister redeeming herself. And I almost gave up on my friends, but thankfully they were there to support me. I am heading back to Earth as a hero. I am heading back to a wonderous planet full of merriment and joy and I cannot be happier in my decision. I cannot wait to return. I cannot wait to be engaged again to the culture of Earth.
