A day later Luffy had a report from members of Black Cats that they while waited had seen multiple ships with completely dead crew floating aimlessly with treasure still in them. So he had decided to take the sloop out with Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Pato and some of The Black Cats.
"If there is a pirate ship just massacring crew just because we have to deal with them immediately, they either have to move on and we create patrols to make sure they don't return or we will have to wipe them out because I won't leave a threat like that with the people I have here and the plans I have for the areas I've been to." Luffy though, before saying.
"Um hey Captain we found these guy look for loot and were wandering what you wanted us to do with them." Buchi said pointing three guys. "They came peacefully."
"What the Hell possessed you to come on this ship and rob it." Luffy said.
"Well you see…" one started.
So the next minute was made of the three lying their asses off, until.
"Alright stop I'm going to ask you this question again and this time your going to tell me the truth, there's already a thief and lair position in my crew and their are both taken." Luffy said more authoritatively.
That caused one of them to pull out a gun and try and shot Luffy in the head. Which went right through his head after it turned to lighting.
"So that how.." Luffy interrupted by a crew member yelling.
Captain, there's a big ship heading our way." The man said.
Passing the prisoners as he went by hearing something about "El Drago". When he got to the front he saw something he didn't like, a glowing light from the other ship.
"Crew adjust our course so we aren't heading for them." Luffy said as he turned his hand to lighting.
Then a blast came the forcing Luffy to send a lighting blast out to meet it.
"Turn 45 degrees so we don't meet that shock wave head on." Luffy ordered.
The attacks hit and an explosion happened, when it died down the ship wasn't there any more. And neither were the prisoners.
"Alright, some explain what just happened," Luffy said.
When no one could they started searching the deck and found a little boat tied to the side and search it find a boy tied up named Tobio. Tobio tries to explain his own ambitions for the Isle of Gold, but is ignored by Luffy who sees a small dot on the horizon and head towards it. The dot lead them to a floating oden shop, the home and proprietary of Tobio's grandfather Ganzo, who has devoted his life to cooking and serving the stew.
"Alright after the shit show we just saw I'll pay for everything eat up." Luffy says to their enjoyment.
As they eat, Tobio, who scorns these humble goals and idolizes someone named Woonan, constantly runs away from this shop in hopes of joining Woonan's crew starts talking. Though somewhat interested in Woonan's legend, Luffy and the crew mostly focus on gorging themselves, until Ganzo asked for payment; to which Luffy pay and then they listen to both the stories again.
On earlier ship
"What do you mean my voice testing is brother?" Eldoraggo said.
"No that not what we meant, it just that it almost hit us," the three from before try to explain.
"Then you shouldn't have been the way," Eldoraggo said.
Meanwhile, Luffy's crew reach the Isle of Gold, and started searching place when they saw a ship in the distance, and regrouped.
Let's set a trap, everyone will be hidden in different places on this side of the island we need some to infiltrate the crew and figure out were they are going, then someone will cause a distraction when the infiltrator is holding the map and couple people to attack while they are escaping and leaving quickly. Who wants to do what?" Luffy said.
So when Eldoraggo crew land, Usopp (who voted unanimously for the after he tried to hide) was quickly 'captured', and on pain of death from Eldoraggo's lieutenant Golass, offers to decipher Woonan's map. Under Usopp's false guidance, the group finds a valley holding a massive castle, where Nami intercepts and (with Usopp's help) tries to stall them by claiming the gold is buried several days deep. This backfires, however, as Eldoraggo simply begins using his powers to level the area.
The impact of Eldoraggo's beams quickly draw in Luffy and Zoro who were handicapped by two swords and haki not being allow, as well as Tobio, who swears to protect Woonan's treasure by himself. Amused, Eldoraggo easily overpowers Tobio; Luffy and Zoro prove more formidable eventually, Luffy grabs both and flashes the three of them off to a hill. While Eldoraggo and his crew look on in confusion, Nami and Usopp quietly slip away as well.
As the Straw Hats and Black Cats regroup on the hill, Nami being Nami then tries to "scorch" the map for hidden messages, only to burn it to a cinder. Lucky Usopp remembers a pivotal clue from the map that leads them to the island's most prominent feature: a long, steep plateau.
"Alright Pato take the Black Cats back and clean out their ship, we meet you back there with whatever we find." Luffy said.
"Hold on I have to be there to claim my share," Nami yelled.
"Then go there." Luffy said uninterested.
"Then I won't be here to claim my share of this gold either, you have to wait for one." Nami said.
"No, this is happening now. If you want gold and money pick one, if you're not with either group when it arrives you don't get any." Luffy said as he began climbing and Pato started back down to the ships.
Despite concerns from the Straw Hats, Tobio insists on following, to prove himself worthy of Woonan; together, they scale half the plateau, before finding a cave to rest inside. To their shock, they find Ganzo resting in this cave as well. Dolefully, Ganzo admits that Woonan had been his childhood friend, one who constantly scorned their humble village life—especially Ganzo's oden—and yearned for gold and glory. To this, Ganzo had retorted: Gold doesn't laugh. Doesn't sing. Doesn't drink. Doesn't cry. It's no different from a rock.
These quarrels came to a head when Woonan resolved to be a pirate, furnished a flag, and held a clifftop pact for Ganzo's loyalty. When Ganzo refused, they began brawling, and ultimately tumbled over the cliff. Though Woonan managed to catch his flag on a stray branch, Ganzo realized it was not strong enough to support them both, and let go so Woonan could save himself. Miraculously, he survived the resulting fall—but in the time he took to recover, Woonan left the village, never to return.
In the years since, Woonan fulfilled his dreams, becoming a pirate of unimaginable wealth; meanwhile, Ganzo realized his own dream of a travelling oden shop, allowing him to to feed people around the world. Now, having found the Isle of Gold, he has prepared his most heartfelt pot of oden, seeking only to share it with an older, wiser Woonan.
Touched by this story, the Straw Hats and Tobio help Ganzo to the top of the plateau, where they find a lonely hut concealing an underground tunnel. Before they can enter, however, they are attacked by Eldoraggo and his men.
As Ganzo tries to shield his grandson, he is struck down by Eldoraggo, who mockingly spills and stomps on his oden—only to be punched aside by Luffy, who defiantly scoops up the stew and eats it with compliments.
As Ganzo and Tobio look on in wonder, the Straw Hats begin their counterattack, Zoro defeating Golass in a swift duel.
While Luffy unleashes a hail of blows that eventually shatter Eldoraggo's prized golden armor(the first time he'll do that). Enraged, Eldoraggo unleashes one more beam, only for Luffy to stop them with Haki, and subsequently hurl Eldoraggo off the mountain with a lighting blast point blank. This instantly terrifies the rest of Eldoraggo's men, who flee. Luffy then whispered something to Golass causing him to be shocked.
Victorious, the Straw Hats take a grateful Ganzo and Tobio back to Woonan's tunnel, which they follow to an underground chamber. Inside, they find a dusty skeleton in half-rotted captain's regalia—all that remains of Woonan. As Tobio collapses in tears, the Straw Hats notice writing on the chamber walls, and recognize it as Woonan's deathbed letter.
In the letter, Woonan confesses that in his old age, he came to realize how unfulfilling gold in itself truly was; what his childhood self had longed for was the journey, the adventure to winning it. With a lifetime of such adventures behind him, he surrendered all his gold to its rightful owners, keeping only one memento for himself: the torn flag that marked the last day he ever shared with Ganzo. It was this flag that buoyed his spirit throughout all his voyages, as a reminder of the one man he truly respected.
Overwhelmed by what his grandfather meant to Woonan, Tobio tearfully apologizes for all his scorn. In turn, Ganzo reaffirms his love for his grandson, and proclaims he will be proud of whatever dream Tobio chooses to pursue. Together, they resolve to give Woonan a proper burial, so the Straw Hats decide to help, while Luffy leaves to make sure the other pirates don't start something, and returns with Pato and his group after seeing the other crew off, to attend the funeral, in which Ganzo gives Luffy his friends coat as a way to say thank you.
Back on the, having looting Eldoraggo's ship, the crew offers to pay for the extra Ganzo's oden they ate on their way there, only to be refused. Rather, Ganzo declares their debt as a promise to reunite once they have fulfilled their own dreams, a promise the crew heartily accepts, as they cast off for their next adventure.
I just want to give some info. I have written ahead a bit but this is not the only story I'm writing now so I will probably start to drop them as well, maybe. I haven't decided the order or time period. When I finish up to the Marineford War I will drop this one more often. Then I'll start on the New World part.
Not all the movies will get a written out version. The same for filler arcs. The movies will probably shorter than the other chapters, and I'll update info during these shorter chapter if I need to.
I'm just enjoying myself here.
