History: Viego was once the King of Camador. Though he wasn't truly the heir to the throne, the deaths of his half-brothers and the passing of his father had caused his ascension to the throne.

Then one day, he met a beautiful peasant Seamstress, Isolde, and married her as his queen. But his love for her caused him to neglect his kingdom and his enemies took advantage of it as they sent an assassin to kill him.

Though he evaded his own assassination, His wife, Isolde, did not as she was poisoned by the assassin's blade in his place. Distraught by the incident, he sent his trusted general and niece, Kalista, to find a cure when his healers failed him while he ordered his commander, Hecarim, to quash several uprisings in his kingdom.

When his Queen passed away, Viego soon fell into a deep depression until Kalista shared news of the Waters of Life located in the Blessed Isles.

After he convinced Kalista into telling the location of the Waters of Life with imprisonment. He sets sail into the Blessed Isles and hoped that the waters would revive his beloved queen.

Once he laid her lifeless body into the waters, she revived a wraith of her former self and struck Viego with his own sword. The Magic mixed from his own blade and the waters unleashed ruination and transformed the Blessed Isles into the Shadow Isles.

Now reborn as a Wraith, Viego strives to go to every length into reviving his beloved queen. Even if it meant the mutual destruction of all of Runeterra.

Residences in Chaldea:

Relationship with Gudako/Gudao: There was little bond between Viego and his master/s. Possibly due to the madness caused by his obsession.

Regardless, Viego will follow their command as long as he gains the Holy Grail he had heard so much about and bring his beloved wife back into his arms.

Relationship with Heroic Spirits: Though Most Heroic Spirits steer clear of Viego, a few saw him differently. But he shows no interest in engaging a conversation with them.

Gilles De Rais (Caster) - Having heard of Viego's story, Gilles sympathizes with the Ruined King's efforts to revive his beloved queen and wishes to aid him in his own way.

But the Ruined King feigns ignorance and avoids all of the matters of interactions with him.

Rama - When Rama had been informed of Viego's Backstory. He was reminded of the curse that separates him from his beloved wife, Sifa.

Rama was also horrified at the thought of him possessing Viego's traits. Had he taken such great lengths similar to his, Sita would never forgive him for the atrocities he may commit down that path.

Consort Yu (Assassin) - When Viego saw Consort Yu, he had mistaken her for Isolde due to her physical appearance being similar. He was corrected on numerous occasions by her and soon began a habit of her whenever she encounters him.

Dialogue:

Summoned - The Mist beckons, and I have come. Take me to war, and I will fin

Dialogue 1 - Isolde awaits me...

Dialogue 2 - There is nothing between us. But for her (Isolde), I will do anything.

Dialogue 3 - The world may fall as much as it wants, as long as she returns to my arms. All will be brought down to ruin...

Interaction 1 (If Caster Senna is present) - Why Isolde! Why do you hide your face from me?!

Interaction 2 (If Avenger Kalista is present) - In even this world, you will never have your vengeance, Kalista. Never!

Interaction 3 (If any Widowed Heroic Spirits are present) - If you know of my pain. Then you know I will do 'anything' to Get. Her. Back.

Birthday - One's celebration of birth means nothing to my eternal loss...

Event - The Mist will surge forward, and I will claim what's rightfully mine...
