Derek: Casey, will you please talk to me?
Casey: I'm fine Derek. I don't really want to talk about anything.
Derek: It's not good to keep it bottled up inside
Casey: I'm fine really. I'm just tired. Can we please talk later?
Derek: Yeah sure. So how's your smoothie?
Casey: It's good thanks
Derek: And your wrap?
Casey: It really hit the spot (she gave a small smile: What about yours?
Derek: Same..
Casey: Derek what are we doing?
Derek: I don't know. What I do know is we can't keep acting like nothing is wrong. Like nothing happened.
Casey: I agree. I'm so sorry for what has happened. I just want you to trust me. I want you to be able to know that I'm going to take care of myself.
Derek: Casey, I do trust you.I guess I was more upset that you were being so stubborn and you weren't going to listen.
Casey: Derek, of course I'm going to listen. You should know the last thing I want is for something to happen to our baby. Especially because I didn't follow the doctor's orders. I'd never be able to forgive myself. I'm just a little upset that you don't have any faith in me whatsoever.
(Casey turns and faces the window) A few silent minutes pass and Derek pulls into their driveway.
Derek: Casey, I've been doing some thinking. A Lot of thinking actually and i've decided to take a Leave of Absence from work.
Casey: Excusez moi ce Vous Plait? Derek you really don't have to do that.
Derek: No Casey, I really think I do
Casey: Well now I really don't have anything to say to you.
Derek: Come on Casey, don't do this. Don't be this way.
Casey: What you think springing this on me in the car after we just left the hospital was going to make me more agreeable?
Derek: No i thought we could discuss this like adults and do what's best for our family
Casey: You mean what's best for you so you can babysit me. Make sure I don't do anything I'm not supposed to. I'm a grown adult i don't need to be babysat
Derek: Casey that's not not trying to babysit you or spy on you.
Casey: I'm exhausted, can we please just go inside and talk about this later.
Derek: Yeah, fine. Whatever you want.
Derek gets out of the car and helps Casey out. He gets her bag and they go inside.
Casey already knew the be staying in the downstairs bedroom just like before.
Casey went into the bedroom and sat on the bed and just started crying. This was not how this was supposed to be. She hated fighting with Derek.
Derek brought the bags in and went into the kitchen to make some tea.
He poured a cup and brought it to Casey.
Derek: I brought you some tea.
Casey; Thanks
Derek: Marti and Nick are going to keep Sunny and Tanner for us.
Dad and Nora have Dylan and Ryan. Edwin and Krista have Brett and Mark. Logan and Mackenzie are with David and LIzzie.
Casey: And I guess you're stuck babysitting me, right?
Derek: Casey, that's not true.
Casey: I'm a grown woman, I can look out for myself.
Derek: Just like you looked out for yourself at Dad and Nora's?
Casey: or do you really mean like in the bathroom when I hit my head? Now YOU'RE not being fair.
Derek: Casey…I
Casey: Derek, will you please just leave me alone, I'm really tired and just want to go to sleep.
Derek: Um..yeah. If you need me I'll be around.
Derek walked out .
Casey changed into her comfy clothes and laid down on the bed. She started crying and eventually fell asleep
Derek caught up on some work. He washed and put up Caseys clothes and things from the hospital.
