Chapter 27: A Sirius Problem.

November 1, 2013.

Sirius groaned and opened his eyes; he lay there for a moment, then he raised a little and looked around; from what Sirius could see, he was in a square glass room that had an outer room that was full of computers, monitors, and a counter that was half a circle the bottom part was full of buttons, above that a bunch of computers, it sat in the middle of the room, with two chairs sitting in it. The outer room had its lights on, but they were off in Sirius's glass room. The door was also glass and was closed with no doorknob or handle or any way to open it from the inside that Sirius could see. He did see the back of a metal rectangle-shaped object stuck on the other side of the door, which he figured was a handle to open it from the outside. The bed Sirius was lying in was raised a little and had bars on the left side.

Sirius laid back down and stared up at the ceiling, which looked to be made of glass too, and if he saw right, he could see the ceiling to the other room above it; at least, Sirius thought that's what he saw, the lights on this side of the room were turned out, just like in the glass room, which felt more like a prison cell than a room. Sirius closed his eyes and covered them with his right arm. His head felt as if a tree had struck him; Sirius felt nauseous and dizzy, his neck felt sore, his back hurt, and he was confused as to where he was, why he was there, or what had happened; the last thing he remembered was bumping into some average-looking woman with strawberry blonde hair, who started screaming and kicking him, panicked, Sirius covered her mouth, then everything that happened after that was blank. It hurt his head too much to try and remember.

Sirius heard beeping next to him; opening his eyes again, he looked to his left to see some machine that sat on a stand with two drawers. The machine had some wires coming from it that were attached to little round stickers that stuck to his chest; that's when Sirius noticed his shirt had been unbuttoned, and his jacket was gone; someone had taken it off him. Sirius raised his left arm to see his shirt sleeve rolled up and a tube sticking out of his right arm that led to a clear plastic bag hanging on a metal rack.

"What the hell?" Sirius mumbled. He reached over and pulled the tube out and wrenched a little because it hurt and his arm was now bleeding a little; Sirius ignored it and pulled the wires off his chest; the machine started beeping loudly. "Oh, shut up!"

Sirius sat up and paused a moment as he still felt dizzy, then slowly turned to the right side of the bed, sat his feet on the floor (his shoes were gone too), waited a moment, then stood, and stumbled back and had to grab the metal bar on the bed to stop from falling. It took Sirius a minute before the room stopped spinning enough that he could stand up straight and slowly walk to the door and push on it, and it wouldn't budge; Sirius pushed harder, and it still wouldn't open. Going from annoyed to angry, Sirius pushed as hard as he could, and when nothing happened, he hit the door with his fist, but that did nothing but hurt his hand.

"Fine, I'll just get out my way," Sirius mumbled; he stepped back from the door, took a deep breath, then challenging all his magic, he apparated or at least tried; Sirius felt himself leave for a split second; but something quickly pulled him back in, with a loud pop-like noise, and the cell glowed for a moment, and the next thing Sirius knew he was on the floor holding his head as a loud alarm blared, causing Sirius to almost scream in pain, out of the corner of his eye he saw the bed raising along with the machine and metal rack.

Sirius closed his eyes and tried to stop his telekinesis abilities from lashing out, it was hard, but Sirius did it, and everything slammed back down with a loud bang, and the metal rack fell over with a clang. While still gripping the sides of his head, Sirius leaned forward. He wished the alarm would stop, it was making his headache worse, and the room was already spinning, and now his ears were starting to ring. Sirius didn't understand why he couldn't apparate out of this cell

Sirius still had his eyes closed when the alarm shut off, then the outer door opened, and he heard what sounded like two sets of footsteps hurrying toward him; then the entrance to the glass cell opened, and two people came into the room; still Sirius kept his eyes closed, as someone stood next to him.

"Get him back in bed." A female voice said; Sirius felt someone wrap their arms around his waist and pull him to his feet. "Careful, don't let his head move around too much."

Sirius opened his eyes to see who had a hold of him and came face to face with Thor, who then bent down, picked Sirius up, and laid him on the bed.

"You shouldn't move too much." A female voice said. Sirius turned his head to see a Korean woman standing there; she was getting into the drawer next to him.

"I was trying to get out of here," Sirius said. "I need to go home."

Sirius turned back to Thor as the lady shut the drawer; he opened his mouth to demand the blonde idiot tell him why they had him locked up and request they let him go, but the moment he opened his mouth to speak, he felt a sharp sting in his arm.

"Ouch, " Sirius cried out, turning his head toward the woman again to see she was putting the needle with the tube back into his arm. "Don't put that back in me." he reached over to stop her, and Thor held him down.

"You are hurt. Dr. Cho is only trying to help. Stay still," Thor said, Sirius tried to push Thor away from him with his one free hand, but Sirius couldn't even get him to budge, it was like trying to push a brick wall, and he was afraid to try magic again, last time he did the alarm went off, and his head felt like it was going to explode.

"What the bloody hell is going on." Sirius demanded as Thor let him go, "Why am I in this cell, and why do I feel like I have a massive hangover?"

"I am Dr. Helen Cho," Helen said, "Tony Stark called me here when you didn't wake after a few hours of being unconscious. You have a concussion, you were in and out of it for a week, and I've stopped by every other day to check on you."

Helen explained that as she placed the round stickers with the wires back on Sirius's chest, he tried to push her hands away, but once again, Thor held his arms down.

"What the hell is that?" Sirius asked as Thor let him go again.

"This keeps you hooked to the monitor. " Helen said, "So, we can keep an eye on your heart rate and blood pressure, and the tubes coming from your arm are going to the IV; it's keeping you hydrated. Plus, I added some medication that'll help with your pain. That's all we can do with a concussion. They have to heal on their own."

"Are you a healer?" Sirius asked.

"A healer? Do you mean a Doctor? No, I am a geneticist." Helen said, "But I did study medicine, so Tony called me for help."

"Oh," Sirius said. "Why was I unconscious?" he turned to Thor and pointed at Mjolnir hanging on his side. "Did you hit me with that?"

"I did not," Thor answered, sounding offended, "Steve Rogers hit you with his shield."

"You mean Captain America?" Sirius asked, "That Steve Rogers? The walking American Flag?"

"That would be the one," Thor replied.

"Where am I?" Sirius demanded.

"Avengers Towers," Thor answered. "In the cage Tony and Bruce built."

"Is Steve the reason my throat and back are sore too? How many times did that bastard hit me with that damn shield?" Sirius asked.

"Once," Thor replied, "I'm why your neck and back are bruised. I grabbed you by the throat and slammed you into the wall, and I may have been a bit harder than I meant to be."

"You arsehole," Sirius said, glaring at him.

"Do you not remember our fight?" Thor asked.

"We fought each other?" Sirius asked.

"You fought with me and three more Avengers," Thor said; "Do you truly not remember?"

"I don't remember the fight, the last thing I remember is bumping into some woman, and she started screaming like a banshee at an Irish family reunion," Sirius said.

"Is he alright?" Thor asked, looking at Helen. "Why is his memory gone?"

"It's not uncommon when someone has a head injury to lose the memory of how it happened; he'll probably get the memory back once his head heals." She explained.

"I knew Midgardains were delicate," Thor said. "But I did not know they were that delicate."

"Hey," Sirius said; that insult was uncalled for.

The outer door opened again, and this time Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, the guy with the metal arm, and Steve Rogers entered the room; they walked up to the cell. Tony, Steve, and Bruce walked into the room; Clint and the guy Sirius didn't know the name of stayed out of the cell and stood on either side of the open door.

"Oh, look, more visitors, how nice," Sirius said sarcastically.

"So, Black, give me a good reason why I shouldn't give you another concussion," Tony said.

"I'd kick your arse. " Sirius replied,

"A bit cocky, aren't you?" Tony asked.

"It's not cocky when you're speaking the truth," Sirius replied, "You're not hiding in that tin can of yours, so even with this headache, I can take you if you want to go a few rounds."

"Alright, James Bond," Tony said; Sirius wrenched at the name, "What agency do you work for? I know you're not a S.H.I.E.L.D. guy."

"What?" Sirius demanded. He had no idea who James Bond was, but he didn't appreciate that name being thrown at him, especially not when James and Lily's deaths still weighed heavy on his mind; he had to carry that guilt with him forever.

"Who do you work for?" Tony demanded, "And why the hell did you break into my tower?"

"I'm a fan," Sirius said, "No, really, I'm a huge fan. I just had to meet The Avengers."

"You are in a lot of trouble, young man; I suggest you be serious for a moment," Steve said, and Sirius started to laugh, then stopped because it hurt too much.

"I am Sirius. That's my name," Sirius said.

"Sirius Black can't be your real name," Tony said, "An alias, right? What's your real name? Henry? Archie?" He looked to Steve, "What's another British-sounding name?"

"Call me whatever you want. I don't give a flying hippogriff. I want out of here." Sirius said he tried to rise, but once again, Thor wouldn't let him.

"Answer me this, if you were born Sirius Black and have always gone by Sirius Black, why are there hardly any records of your existence?" Tony demanded, "No birth, school records, high school graduation, you haven't had a job since you were sixteen, your driver's license says you were born November 3, 1976, but yet no record of Sirius Black pops up until the summer of 1990 when you got your first job. Why is that? You don't even have a passport on record; how did you get into this country if not using a different name?"

"I have no idea what you are talking about," Sirius said. Did muggles really keep a record of everything everyone does from birth onward? Weird.

"Dose Natasha know Sirius Black isn't your real name?" Tony asked, "Sirius Orion, no Mother in their right mind would give their son the name Sirius Orion Black; it has to be made up. It sounds super spy to me."

"People called my mother many things in her life; sane was never one of them," Sirius replied, "And Natasha? Are you talking about the Black Willow? I never meant that woman in my life. Why would she know my name?"

"Oh man, do yourself a favor and never tell Nat you don't remember her," Clint said.

"Umm, okay," Sirius replied.

"I have a question," Bruce said, "How did a dog turn into you? That shouldn't be possible. It's against all laws of physics."

"You alright there, mate?" Sirius asked, wondering how he knew about his animagus form. "Did Stevie hit you with his shield too?"

"We have the security footage of a dog turning into you in the stairway," Tony said. "It shows a big black dog entering my tower, then he stood on his hind legs, opened the door to the stairway, and entered, then it transformed into you before disappearing under that cloak you had with you."

Muggle cameras, that's how they knew. Of course, Sirius should have realized this building would be full of them, considering its size and who lived there. This whole plan of his was probably the stupidest idea he ever had, not including the switching of Secret Keepers.

"You're one of those enhanced people that have been popping up lately, aren't you?" Tony asked, "Are you some British government experiment or something? Were you exposed to radiation?"

"I still have no idea what you are talking about," Sirius said, wondering if Stark meant wizards or something else. He glanced at Thor and noticed his eyes were now looking at his feet, and he looked guilty; he must have realized Sirius was a wizard but wasn't telling anyone.

"That's three strikes against you," Tony said, "First strike was you breaking into my tower, the second was attacking my girlfriend, and now you're lying to my face."

"I didn't attack anyone," Sirius said. "I don't appreciate being accused of something I didn't do."

"For an innocent man, you sure are defensive," Tony remarked.

"You would be too if the last time people accused you of something you didn't do, it cost you twelve years of your life." Sirius spat, feeling angry. Steve, Tony, Clint, and Thor all looked at one another.

"Let's just stay on topic," Steve said after a long silence.

"Alright, just stay calm there, Houdini," Tony said, "We'll change the subject to how that silvery cloak makes you disappear."

"How did a Midgardain get his hands on a cloak made with the invisible thread of Svartalfheim?" Thor demanded.

"A what from where?" Sirius asked; he knew what Thor meant; Loki had explained to James once all about the Dark Elves and their invisible thread, which Loki believed his cloak was sewn together using it.

"That's Thor's theory on your cloak," Tony said. "Mine is it has some kind of cloaking technology in it, and I just don't know what, all my tests have failed to come up with anything."

"Test?" Sirius demanded, "You better not have done anything to that cloak, I better get it back in one piece, or I'll kill you."

"A bet attached to a piece of cloth, aren't you?" Tony asked. Sirius glared at him. "Don't worry. Your cloak is fine; Thor made sure of that."

"That cloak is a historical relic," Thor said, "The thread sewn in it is extremely rare; it's hard to come by even on Asgard, not since my grandfather killed all the Dokkalfar; no one left to make more thread. That invisibility cloak would be worth more than a bucket of gold on Asgard."

"What are Dokkalfar?" Clint asked.

"Dark Elves," Sirius replied, without thinking, and everyone looked at him, "I read a lot." that lie nearly made Sirius cringe.

"We have gotten off-topic again," Steve said; Sirius reached up and rubbed his head. He wished they would all leave; he was starting to feel drowsy, and it was getting hard to keep his eyes open.

"You guys are annoying," Sirius said as he closed his eyes.

"I think the pain medicine I gave him is starting to kick in," Helen commented. "He'll probably fall asleep soon, which is good if you want him to heal. His MRI showed he had a severe concussion, and to be honest, I'm surprised he was alert and talking as much as he was; you guys are lucky he didn't have bleeding in his brain."

"How hard did you hit this guy, Steve?" The metal arm guy demanded.

"Not as hard as I could have, Bucky, but apparently harder than I thought," Steve said; he turned to Helen. "Did I really hurt him that bad?"

"You did hit the man over the head with a shield made out of Vibranium," Helen said.

"Hey, Black," Tony called," wake up," Sirius's eyes popped open. "We'll be back in a couple of days. If you are good, I might even bring you a birthday cake."

"Go to hell," Sirius replied.

"Now, now, that's not good." Tony teased, "This cage is bulletproof, lighting proof, and enhanced being proof, thanks to a little borrowed energy." he tapped the glowing circle under his shirt, "So, trying to escape is useless; we'll see you in a few days, don't go anywhere."

Sirius glared at Tony as he turned and walked out of the cell; they all followed him out, shutting and locking the cell, then they all headed out of the outer room, closing the door behind them. Sirius was sure he heard that door lock.

Sirius rolled over on his side and closed his eyes, he needed to escape and get home, but he couldn't do that until his head healed and he could find a way out of this cell. Sirius didn't want to fall asleep, he didn't trust these people enough to make himself valuable to them, but his head hurt, and he was feeling too sleepy not to. Sirius regretted even coming here; he found nothing useful to him and got captured; all he wanted was to go home. He missed his family. Sirius wondered if Remus was okay and hoped they hadn't locked him up too.

November 11, 2013

When Natasha Romanoff arrived back at Avengers Tower after being on a month-long mission, she expected to grab something to eat. Maybe a workout in the gym afterward, take a shower. What she did not expect, however, was to find her fellow Avengers in the meeting room sitting around the table looking moody, not speaking much, and Tony glaring at a familiar leather jacket that was lying on the table next to a dagger, a cell phone wallet with chain and a silvery looking cloak. All while, Jarvis was alerting Tony that the owl was back and trying to get into the building again.

"Why do you all look like Christmas got canceled?" Natasha asked, walking into the room and up to the table; she picked up the jacket, trying to remember where she had seen it before.

"Your boyfriend broke into my tower," Tony said. "And attacked Pepper."

"I don't know what you are talking about, Stark. I have no boyfriend," Natasha said. She sat the jacket down; then it clicked into her head; Sirius Black was wearing that jacket when she met him. Sirius had even slipped it on her when it started turning chili outside; Natasha and Sirius spent the day goofy off and having fun, then she went back to Sirius's hotel and spent the night with him; when Natasha woke the following morning, Sirius had cleaned her clothes and folded neatly and left a note telling her he had gone to get them some breakfast, and was more than welcome to use the shower, Natasha took a quick one, and had planned to leave before Sirius returned, but he walked in the door when she was about to leave, she accepted the offered breakfast, they chatted about nothing important, as they ate then parted ways with a goodbye. She hadn't seen him since.

"Your ex-boyfriend, then," Tony said. Natasha wanted to hit him at that moment.

"If you're talking about Sirius Black, he was never my boyfriend," Natasha said. "Why is he here?"

"No idea; he won't tell us anything; I swear it's like talking to Loki. Nothing but sarcastic comments and threats come out of his mouth." Tony said.

"Do you have him in the cage?" Natasha asked.

"Yes, but if you want to talk to him, good luck," Tony said, "All of us have tried; you would have better luck getting the owl that keeps trying to get in the building to answer you."

"Don't enter the cage with him." Steve said, "The guy has fighting skills and is enhanced."

"Enhanced?" Natasha asked.

"He's got some kind of abilities, like the people that keep popping up lately; every time one of us opened the door to go in, Black nearly escaped us, and he is still healing from a concussion," Clint said, "Black Is getting desperate, and that's making him more dangerous."

"We had to start talking to him outside the cage," Tony said.

"Nearly beat us all in a fight," Thor said. Natasha raised her eyebrows.

"Not all of us; Bruce and I weren't even there," Bucky said.

"Don't exaggerate, Thor," Tony said, "He put up a good fight, but he didn't nearly beat us."

"He fought like Loki," Thor said. "The moves he used are Loki's specialties."

"Thunderstruck," Tony said, "You are not befriending Sirius Black just because he reminds you of your nutcase brother."

"Are you sure him attacking Pepper wasn't a misunderstanding?" Natasha asked.

"Are you sure Sirius Black is his real name?" Tony asked.

"Why?" Natasha asked.

"Tony thinks Sirius Black is an alias," Clint said, "That he is some kind of British spy."

"It makes sense," Tony argued, "His fighting skills, his enhanced abilities, and breaking into the tower, he was most likely looking for information on us."

"Tony ran a background check on Black. Jarvis could hardly find anything," Steve explained.

"What did he find?" Natasha asked.

"He doesn't seem to come into existence until he was fourteen, a job history starts popping up, weird jobs for the average teenager; your friend was a blacksmith apprentice, then and a mechanic, he even worked one summer putting up rides at a carnival. In 1995 he applied for a driver's license, there is a record of him later that year, buying and registering a motorcycle, and there is a record of him spending a short time in jail in Germany for fighting in a pub in 1996, after that, he disappears for three years then in 2000-"

"What?" Natasha demanded.

"Nat, the guy went to prison for blowing up a London street and killing twelve people. They believe he somehow triggered the gasoline to explode." Clint said.

"Sirius Black spent twelve years in an unknown prison. He had been sentenced to life but had escaped in July of last year. I found one small news article about it, then recently this summer he applied for a new driver's license and bought a new car, and no word of why he wasn't arrested or anything else about him supposed to be in prison," Tony said.

"He doesn't even have a passport, at least not under the name Sirius Black," Bruce said, "No record of him buying a plane ticket; the only proof he even left the UK to come here is him checking into the hotel across the street."

"Clint searched his room, but it was empty," Tony said, "The cell phone he had on him wasn't locked, so I was able to look through it, but the only person he has contacted is someone called Moony,"

"I'll talk to him," Natasha said. "Find out what's going on."

"Alight, but I doubt you'll get anywhere with him," Tony said.

"I got information from Loki, didn't I?" Natasha said, turning and leaving the room. When Natasha made it to the room with the cage, Sirius was lying in bed, on his back, with one arm under his head and one leg crossed over the other. He looked bored. Natasha walked up to the cage door and watched in amazement as he had black and yellow light coming for his hand, forming a ball.

"Do you remember me?" Natasha asked. The lights in Sirius's hand disappeared, and he looked up at her, then sat up and tilted his head as if trying to place her, then his eyes grew wide.

"Natalie Huntsmen?" Sirius demanded; he stood and walked over to the door. "Never thought I'd see you again. What are you doing here?"

"I'm Natasha now," Natasha said.

"Natasha?" Sirius asked.

"Why did you break into The Avengers Tower?" Natasha asked.

"Technically, I didn't break in. I walked through the front doors," Sirius replied, giving her that same cocky smile he did all those years ago. "And if you don't mind, I'd like to leave now."

"Tony Stark said you attacked Pepper," Nastah said.

"I didn't attack her," Sirius said, "She attacked me; that woman can kick and scream; I'm pretty sure her screaming gave me my concussion, not Roger's shield."

"If you didn't know I was one of the Avengers, why did you break into the tower?" Natasha asked, "What were you after."

"Autographs." Sirius chuckled, backing up to the back wall; he leaned against it and crossed his arms. "You Avengers are my heroes."

Natasha fought the urge to roll her eyes and tried another approach. "You remember our time together, don't you?"

"I do," Sirius replied.

"It was always more than just a fling to me." Natasha lied, "I thought maybe you saw me in the news, came to find me that our not together might be more to you also. I guess it didn't. "

Sirius said nothing; he just raised one eyebrow as Natasha dropped her head almost shyly.

"If you didn't come here looking for me, please tell me why you are here?" Natasha said, "What was more important to you than me."

Natasha sniffed, and Sirius just watched her with an unimpressed expression as she turned around, put her face in her hands, and started crying. There was a long moment where Sirius stood there staring at Natasha's back; the only sound was the tearful noises she was making, until Sirius started clapping.

"You almost had me there, Natty," Sirius said. "Honesty, you should be an actress; you could be a big star."

Natasha stopped her fake crying, turned around, and glared at Sirius, wondering how he knew she was faking; everyone, even Loki, fell for that trick.

"How?"

"The unfortunate side effect of having ended a lot of relationships in my past is I've learned to tell real tears from fake; the ones faking always hide their face," Sirius explained.

Natasha gave him one last glare before leaving the room; she could hear Sirius laughing as the door closed; Sirius acted nothing like the carefree, cheerful guy she remembered, the one who took her around town and showed Natasha how easy it was to let your guard down and have fun, Sirius was the first person to be able to get Natasha to laugh. Something happened to him in the last seventeen years that left him guarded with a haunted look in his eyes.

Natasha decided she wasn't ready to be teased by her teammates for her failure to get Sirius to talk, so she left the tower and walked down the street to a bar, went in, sat down, and ordered a drink; she was there for about five minutes when a guy came in, and sat down on the stool next to her, he waved to the bartender.

"I'll have what the lady is having." He said, in a British accent. Natasha watched him out of the corner of her eyes; if it weren't for him being clean, with a decent haircut, and shaved, she would think he was homeless with how faded and shabby his clothes looked, all but the leather jacket he wore that looked a lot like the one belonging to Sirius Black.

"I hear we have a Sirius problem." The guy said, smiling.

Natasha laughed a little, but didnt reply.

"How is he?" The man asked.

"Right now, being a complete jerk," Natasha answered; the man chuckled.

"You have meant Sirius's angry side." He said, "He isn't usually a jerk but does have a temper he can't control. He's very hot-headed and stubborn. But I couldn't ask for a better friend."

"Do you know why Sirius decided to break into Avengers Tower?" Natasha asked. The guy didn't answer; instead, he took a few long sips of his drink. Natasha took a moment to look at the man, he had light brown hair flocked with grey despite not looking much older than her, amber eyes and a few scars on his face.

"Back in August, a large group of individuals, led by two powerful siblings, attacked a small campsite in England." He explained, "Unknown to the campers that were fighting against the attackers, it was all a distraction, and while one of the siblings lured Sirius into a fight, her brother went after a fourteen-year-old kid, Harry, and Sirius didn't take too kindly to that, and has been trying to find any information he can to put a stop to them."

"And he thought he would find that information in Avengers Tower?" Natasha asked.

"He did; Sirius's only goal right now is to protect Harry." He replied. "And those attackers could still be after Harry since they failed their first attempt to kidnap him."

"Why would he think we would know who these people are?" Natasha demanded, "And why is he so set on protecting this Harry kid?"

"He has good reason to believe those after Harry is apart of Hydra," He said. "And Harry is Sirius's son."

"I didn't know Sirius had a son," Natasha said.

"Have you met Sirius before?" He asked.

"Once, a long time ago," Natasha mumbled.

"I see." He replied, amusement in his voice.

"Why is it you're telling me all this?" Natasha asked.

"I've been watching Avengers Towers since they caught Sirius; you're the first Avenger I've been able to talk." He replied.

"What do you want?" Natasha asked.

"I need help getting my friend out of your tower and back to England, where he belongs." He said.

"And you want my help to do that." Natasha guessed, "What makes you think I'll do it?"

"Honestly, I don't know if you will or not, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask; I'm a desperate friend, you might say, except for one misunderstanding between us years ago, Sirius has always been there for me, I wasn't there for him the time he needed me the most, I have a lot to make up for, and I can start by making sure Sirius doesn't get locked back up in prison an innocent man."

"How well do you know Sirius Black?" Natasha said.

"We've been best friends since we were eleven, graduated school together, and went on to fight in a war together, I know Sirius pretty well, we didn't come from the same family, but he's still my brother, and rather you help me or not, I'm going to get him out of that tower, it will just be safer on all of you if I had inside help, and I didn't have to use my backup plan."

"Let me talk to Sirius," Natasha said, "If I can get him to tell me why he broke into the tower and his story matches yours, I'll think about helping."

"Here's my name and number." He said, sliding a piece of paper over to Natasha, "Let me know your decision by the sixteenth. Without help, there is only one other way I can think of to rescue Sirius from your friends, so if your answer is no, I warn you, Natasha Romanoff, to not be in Avengers Tower when the moon rises on the eighteenth because I'll be coming for my brother and I won't completely be in control of myself."

With that, the man stood, threw a few bills on the table to pay for his drink, then, without another word, walked out; she did take a note of how he looked a bit green threatening her, like what he had in mind was the last thing he wanted to do.

Natasha looked down at the piece of paper he gave her. It had a number written on it, along with the name, Moony. Natasha stood, put the number in her pocket, and headed out of the bar; time to get Sirius Black to talk and, hopefully, his story will match his friend's. But now she was conflicted about whether to help Sirius or warn her teammates about Moony's threat.

AN: I know how her thoughts might sound like, but no, Natasha wasn't in love with Sirius, after all she did know him only for one day, after the life she had growing up in the red room, and being a Black Widow, he was the first person who showed her how to have fun and get her to laugh, she's always had a bit of gratitude towards him for it.

Since I cut out the Deathly Hollows, I decided to give the Invisibility Cloak a little back story, and in the Agent of Asgard comics, Loki wears a coat that can turn him invisible that he stole from Dark Elves, it's mention it was made from their invisibility thread, so I used that, but since in the MCU they are thought to be dead until DW I used that to make the cloak rare and valuable.

When Sirius was captured, Remus packed up their stuff, and moved it to a different room, he checked in using his middle name, and his Mum's maiden name.
