Sirius coughed to get the attention of both Fenrir and Harry before it was too late.

"Hey! Please don't forget the innocent godfather here! I do not need or want to witness this!"

Harry blushed at his dogfather's words but moved away from Fenrir as requested. "So what was that for?" He peered up at Fenrir.

Fenrir growled, "You mentioned that you could cast a Patronus but I don't think you mentioned that it was fully corporeal. That wolf is sexy as hell." Harry felt like he gave away far too much information when he saw that his Patronus changed.

If only the earth could open up and save Harry from his embarrassing family and embarrassing...whatever Fenrir was to him. Actually, that thought gave Harry pause. He should probably out what exactly Fenrir is to him. He knows that Fenrir wants him to join his pack and be his mate, but what exactly does that mean for him? Harry knows nothing about pack dynamics and what it means to be a mate for a werewolf. However, he does know that Harry is attracted to Fenrir and desires him. Also, Fenrir seems to want to know him beyond just being compatible; however, is it like a marriage? Will they have children? Does Fenrir want him to move to his pack and share everything? All of these thoughts and more flew into Harry's head and he realized that although Fenrir and he have been talking, nothing has really been said. At least nothing of great importance.

While Harry was having a crisis, Sirius was watching Fenrir. How a man looks at his significant other can tell someone a lot. Fenrir was watching Harry and he just seemed to be waiting. It wasn't necessarily a look full of love, but it was a look full of care and concern. This definitely comforted Sirius. Love was a strong emotion and it felt too soon for that, but care and concern were really good places to start. Sirius remembered when he started feeling more romantic love for his friend. Of course, Remus was his friend for years before they started a romantic relationship. Sirius always believed that their friendship gave them an opportunity to fall deeply in love.

Shaking himself from rumination, Sirius went to the fallen log and sat down. He patted his pockets and decided to do a supply check. It was really an excuse to not have to look at the two lovebirds, but it was also probably something he should have done days ago. In his right pocket, he found a hard candy, a button, and a whole lot of lint. In his left pocket, he had a shiny rock, a leaf that was pretty dry, and even more lint. He had grabbed the rock a few days ago for Remus but he wasn't sure why he had a leaf in his pocket. Shrugging, he tossed the leaf and repocketed the lint, rock, and candy. Looking around the clearing, he saw the pile of sticks that Fenrir was gathering and moved it closer to the log. He grabbed his lint and leaf and tossed them on the pile of sticks. Sirius decided that he would start a fire, whether this was a good idea was uncertain. He stood and went to see if there were more dry leaves. Sirius had never done a campfire before but he was pretty sure that lots of leaves and his lint would help.

After walking for a minute or two, Sirius looked around. He was close enough to still see Harry and Greyback but was far enough to give them the illusion of privacy. It was nearing the peak of summer and thus there was a disappointing amount of dry leaves. Everywhere Sirius looked, he saw a thriving forest. Searching for dry leaves started to bore Sirius and thus he started looking for edible plants. Sirius was taught a lot about plants in Hogwarts and at home with private tutors. Of course just because he was taught doesn't mean that he remembered it. He saw a plant that reminded him of a plant that was supposed to be okay. He grabbed it and asked if Aspen agreed it was good. She had saved him from eating a couple of poisonous plants, so he felt like she had earned his trust.

Sirius gathered a half dozen of the flowers and went back to the camp. Re-entering the clearing was a relief, he had lost sight of the camp a couple of times with Aspen and she always scolded him for being foolish. Also, Greyback and Harry were done smooching and gazing into each other's eyes.

"What are those flowers for Sirius?"

"Oh, I am not completely certain but I think I remember that you can eat them. I really should have paid more attention in my youth but I didn't think I was going to use those classes." Harry chuckled a bit at Sirius's response but moved to help him with the plants.

"I can't really say myself, Neville is the plant expert so I usually just ask him for help."

Sirius chuckled, "Well, I did that with Remus often enough, but it isn't a good thing in a situation like this. I think I studied these plants in Auror training too but I think I tossed it out the window as soon as I passed the classes."

Harry softly laughed but he was sure that Azkaban didn't help his memory either.

Fenrir stepped close and sniffed the flowers. Harry giggled at the site of the big man sniffing a flower. Fenrir growled, "They're fine to eat but not particularly good tasting."

Harry had spent a couple of days watching Fenrir eat raw meat and organs so he wasn't sure if he trusted his judgment about flavor. He took a bit and nearly spat out the flower. He chewed a couple of times and forced a swallow.

"Yuck! That's nasty." Harry's face was scrunched in disgust which caused Fenrir and Sirius to burst out laughing.

"Thanks, pup for being the tester!" Sirius tossed the rest of the flowers onto the logs. Guess they were going to be used for the fire. "I tried finding something to eat but I will leave it to the wolves. They are better at that kind of stuff anyway."

Fenrir grumbled in approval and then disappeared into the trees. Harry watched him leave and turned to Sirius.

"I don't mind them helping but sometimes I feel a bit useless."

"Oh pup, I think you should enjoy your break of always being in charge. For once, you don't have to make decisions and not everyone is counting on you."

Harry nodded, "Yeah, that's true but it will still be an adjustment. I don't know if I can just turn off years of training."

They both turned to the wood. They arranged the most flammable objects beneath the wood. Harry pulled out his wand and cast a small spark toward the wood. The spark triggered the lint to heat up. They waited to see if the magic would spread to the rest of the wood. seeing the fire started, they both moved to sit on the log.

Meanwhile, Aspen and Fenrir were hunting. They were both twitching to get at the rabbits in the area. The rabbits were merely grazing and seemed to be oblivious to the predicament that they were both in. The wolves chased after their prey. The poor bunnies didn't stand a chance. Victorious, they both walked back to receive praise from their human. Whoever said peacocks have the biggest strut, never saw a wolf walking back from a successful hunt. Their every step was filled with pride.
