Just Before, Please Stay By My Side by GetsugaTenshou1315

"Well, Rukia-san, it seems that your perfectly fine. So... I will take the liberty to sign your official release form from my clinic!" Ichigo's old man happily, and with incredible flourish claimed. He held up the form, attached it to the clipboard and artistically, or as close as you can get with that old man, and gleefully signed the form. He proudly presented the form to Rukia and began crying desperately. "My baby girl! She is leaving me! Why Masaki? Why must our oldest daughter leave m-" A swift roundhouse kick was delivered upon the father of Ichigo's. Delivered by non-other than Ichigo himself.

"Oh shut the fuck up you crazy old man. One day you will be the death of us all the way your attack me everyday saying it will help with my self defense." Ichigo yelled at his poor father lying on the floor. "No doubt you will do that to Karin and Yuzu when they get into High School." Ichigo muttered under his breath angrily. "Over my dead body! Come on Rukia let's get out of this hell hole." Ichigo grabbed Rukia's petite, porcelain colored hand. He paused with a moment of hesitation before slowly caressing her hand between his own larger, calloused hands. "Rukia g-go out on a-a d-date with m-me." Ichigo stuttered his way through the love filled request. He looked down at his feet, avoiding Rukia's glittering indigo eyes, while the feeling of a deep red blush began to creep up on his cheeks, reaching his ears. Turning a deeper shade of red, Ichigo looked away, shying away from the oncoming answer. Although he knew that Rukia and him love each other, it was still hard to ask the destined question for every new couple.

Rukia smiled a soft, glowing, almost angelic smile. She loved the sight before her. Her love blushing and stuttering like that, while caressing her hand. The pleasure rose within her as she reveled in the feeling of her hand being held like this. She once again looked up at the stuttering man in front of her. Rukia's soft, gentle voice carried itself to Ichigo's ears. "Of course I will you idiot. Would made you think I would say no?" Rukia withdrew her hand from within Ichigo's two hands. She carefully caressed Ichigo's face and pulled him down, closer to her own height. Then she pressed her lips to his cool lips. Feeling his surprise, she pulled away from him and smiled. "Hurry up baka! Let's get this date going!" Rukia pulled Ichigo's out the front door and into the bright afternoon sunlight.

The clouds were dancing across the sky, covering the sun and providing shade to passerby's. The leaves bristled, danced, and fluttered around on the floor as the wind pushed and played with them. The wind carried the leaves across the ground letting them fly for a few moments before landing on a different patch of ground. A small tornado of leaves floated towards the new couple going on their first date.

"Ichigo, where do you want to go?" Rukia whispered into his ear, happily spinning around, relishing the small little breeze floating around her, embracing her.

Ichigo smiled in return. He then grabbed Rukia's hand and proceeded to drag her to an unknown direction to her.

"Wait- Ichigo where are we going?" Rukia was in awe, the scenery had begun to change. The suburban scenery had changed. It changed to a beautiful riverside with glittering water and lovely flowing ripples spreading across the surface. Ichigo had suddenly stopped in front of the river.

"Rukia, this is where my mom died. I wanted to show you because I love you, you know that right? So I wanted to make sure you know that. I lo of people don't know that this is where mom died. I also showed you because I feel like my mom is here and I wanted to show her the woman I love with all my heart and soul." Ichigo then mumbled, continuing slowly. "I know it's cheesy but I'm serious. So um..."

"Shh." Rukia pressed her lips once again to Ichigo's. "I understand bakamono. I understand." Rukia laid down on the growing grass, tugging Ichigo down with her. He laughed a laugh of content and he seemed to have released all the stress that he seemed to have built up.

Staying there for hours, the couple enjoyed their evening. Slowly the sun began to set. The hues of the flaming sun, orange, red, yellow, and even pink danced and across the clouds. Splashing them with the same colors as well. Almost as if they were spray painted.

Sooner than they expected, the orange of the sky had changed to a dark navy blue of a hue. The splashed colours of orange, red, and yellow were replaced with bright, glowing stars popping and flashing. It was as if they were telling everyone that they were here and to look at me. The round disc illuminated the clouds that decided to drift over the moon.

Rukia who had realized how late it had become was just about to sit up when and arm pulled her down. She turned surprised, and looked at Ichigo.

"Shh. Just wait a little longer." Ichigo pressed a finger to his lips.

A moment later, Rukia realized why Ichigo had held her down. The sky suddenly burst in a rainbow of colors. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Fireworks! They rained down upon everyone. All over the city, people stopped and looked up. The bright puffs glowed on Rukia's face.

Ichigo sat up with her. He looked at the fireworks, as if calculating. Then after the blue, and green firework flew up, Ichigo turned around to Rukia. Pulled her in a hug before pulling back.

"I Love You! So stay by my side..." He whispered into her ear. Just as the last firework was flying into the air, Ichigo placed his lips against Rukia's. The firework exploded into a heart with the entire rainbow as it's colors. The heart disappeared and Rukia pulled away smiling that angelic smile.

"I love you too Ichigo." Another kiss was returned. The night ended with a flurry of sparks.

Nevermind about the last chapter. This one is definitely THE best one yet!
