It had been a month since we got back from break and everything was amazing.

Scorpius and I had snuck away at any chance we got to be together. As nice as it was I was starting to feel weird about hiding it from everyone. I told Alice about our dating and Al already knew, but I wanted to tell my best friends about Christmas. They were mad Alice waited two weeks, imagine how they will react to this.

I waited till we were all in our dorm to talk to them about it.

"You guys I have some big news." I started.

"Did you finally learn how to ride a broom?" Breena asked

"No" The comment was dark but I expected nothing less

"Did you finally fix your deviated septum? Your snoring has improved." Nova said enthusiastically.

"Keep them coming, couldn't be more hurtful you guys."

"What's up?" Breena smiled to herself

"I have been seeing someone lately."

"That's great!" Nova said

"It's very unexpected, but it's been going on for a while. "

"Are you a lesbian?" Breena asked

"No, I'd let my friends know when I'm interested in girls and I'd especially let them know before the whole school knew."

"Fair enough." She said defeated.

"What house is he in."

"Slytherin."

"What?"

"Rose!"

Even the idea of my dating a Slytherin was crazy, wait until they hear who it is.

"You must really like the bloke if he's in Slytherin." Breena pointed out

"I do."

"Does he play Quidditch?" Nova asked

"Yes! He's pretty good." I confirmed

"Just tell them, Rose. What is this guessing game?" Alice couldn't take the wait any longer.

" Come on Rose, it can't be that bad," Breena said now paying full attention,

" It might be." I looked at them for a second trying to find the best way to tell them. "Sooooooo you know Al's Best friend?" I said trying to ease them into it. Both of their eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their heads.

"Al doesn't have any friends! IT'S SCORPIUS?!" Nova said

" Damn Nova way to cut Al deep," I said

"Are you serious?" Nova was the only one talking as Breena was silent for the first time. "The boy who treated you like a dog for years?"

"Have you seen them fight all year?" Alice pointed out that since we had calmed down this year. That seemed to make a point with Nova.

"Is this a joke?" Nova asked

"No, I swear to you I'm being serious" I assured her.

" How did this start?" Breena finally spoke up.

"It's a long story but... we've been hooking up all year as a way to stop fighting for Al. Things led to more, and he confessed he was in love with me for years. I knew I liked him but neither of us said anything until Christmas. We've been dating ever since and I wanted to come clean about it. I haven't been this happy at Hogwarts, and I want to see where this leads us." I spoke so fast I almost ran out of breath.

"Well... if you trust him," Breena said not fully believing me.

"I guess we can do nothing but be happy for you," Nova said. "And I guess we could say we saw this coming, every time you fought he looked like he wanted to do more than hex you." Everyone clucked at that little remark

"Well, speaking of which. That's not the end of my confession." I decided to top it off

"What else is there?" Breena finally spoke up. I looked at Alice and she gave me a very warm look, telling me it would be okay.

" I sort of lost my virginity on Christmas."

The room could not have been more silent.

"How was it?" Breena asked

"Breena!" I laughed at her, not expecting that reaction.

"I'm just kidding, congrats." She said

"That's it?"

"Well, the fact that you've been dating Scorpius is more shocking than you having sex."

"Still. I would've liked more of a reaction"

" I think I'm still in shock from the Scorpius thing." Nova admitted, she looked down at her watch and started to get up "I've got to go to my fairy club, we'll talk about this more tonight."

" I hope I'll get a better reaction later."

" I' 'll work on it." She was ready to head out the door and kissed Breena on the cheek. "I'll see you later."

We all wished her out and it was just the three of us. But as soon as the door closed Breena turned to us.

"You guys I need help."

"What's going on?" Alice asked

"Nova slept with Tristian O'Neil, and I sort of gave her permission?" She left no time to waste.

"What?!"Alice and I said at the same time.

"She said she can't forget I slept with Garth Baggins, and jokingly said the only way she could get over it is payback so that we could be on the same level. It turned into a serious conversation and she was so sad about the Baggins thing that I thought it would be a good idea"

"Breena!" I couldn't help but exclaim

How could she think that was a good idea?

"I made a mistake, I can't stop thinking about it."

"Breena what you did was before you started dating. She has a right to be mad, but you didn't cheat on her." I explained

"What are you saying?" She knew what I was gonna say, I think she just needed to hear it.

"You permitted Nova to cheat on you. No payback needed to be paid."

I could see the words hurt her, but it wasn't something new.

"Your right. There was a reason I felt so bad."

"You shouldn't feel bad. You guys need to talk about it."

"It's been awkward for the past few days. She doesn't seem that weird tho like it was so easy for her."

"You guys need to talk about it," Alice said

"I know. I just needed someone to confirm my thoughts."

It was here where I could tell Nova meant more to Breena than anyone ever has, she always acts so tough when it comes to people and what they do. But seeing how this is affecting her really shows how hurt she was."

"Thanks, guys." She leaned over and hugged us. I heard her starting to sniffle

"I can't cry. Class is about to start." She wiped her eyes and smiled at us, trying to use humor to avoid her emotions temporarily.

"You'll be alright" I assured her

" Your right. If Rose can fuck Scorpius, I and Nova can work it out." Breena jabbed at me.

"Fuck off." I chuckled at her.

It was the night when everything went to shit. I had made it to dinner late. When I got there we still had a few people left but everyone was still going about their business throughout Hogwarts.

I saw Molly sitting at the table reading and I figure I go sit with her. We started eating together and talking about classes when I saw Lily storm into the Great Hall and bolted for the Slytherin table. I turned around and noticed that Hector was at the end of the table eating with some friends. Lily talked to him, and I saw him get up. She performed a speech bubble around them so that no one could hear what they were saying, it was as if they had their own private room, as soon as she was done she reversed the spell and smacked him across the face hard.

"Asshole!" She yelled

She turned on her heel and jogged towards the door, Hector called for her but didn't follow her.

"Lily!" I yelled for her as I ran after her. We got to the stairs when I caught up with her. "What's going on?". She turned to me furious and cast another bubble.

"I just overheard Hector's disgusting brother bragging to a group of guys about how proud he is that his little brother bagged the only Potter sister's virginity. He wasn't supposed to tell anyone and now it looks like he was just using me!" She reversed the spell again and ran up the stairs. "Just leave me alone!"

That little prick.

I decided she needed to be alone and my being there wasn't going to help anything.

I don't get it, first Breena and Nova, now Lily and Hector.? What is going on with all of these couples?

Then I heard the commotion. Down the hall in the corridor.

I went down to see what was going on when Scorpius came up to me.

"It's Al and Martin, I've been trying to get through this crowd."

I immediately went into panic mode and my perfect persona came into play.

"Out of the way! Perfects coming through!" I yelled pulling Scorpius into the crowd with me.

"You are a fucking coward." I heard Al yell.

"You don't know what the fuck you're talking about," Martin yelled.

We finally got close enough to see Al and Martin drawing their wands to each other about to duel.

"Al! Don't he's not worth it." Scorpius pushed through the crowd of people to get to Al and push him back a bit.

"Don't stop the entertainment Malfoy." Crabbe and his friends laughed on Martins's side.

"Kick his ass, Al!" James encouraged him, not knowing the boy's true relationship.

"Break it up before a professor comes." Scorpius's voice boomed through the hallways. "Everyone disperse!"

Al went to walk away before taking one last look at Martin. "Closet case" It wasn't loud but he wanted to make sure Martin heard what he said.

Al turned again completely ending the confrontation until Martin took it too far.

" Yea, walk away Fag." He didn't yell it but it was loud enough for everyone close enough to hear.

"What did you fucking say?" James got heated and started walking towards Martin to punch him. This was the first time he had shown any support toward Al since he had come out. It was a nice surprise. But Al had pulled him back and stopped him to whisper something to him, I think it was about him fighting his own battles.

At James' outburst I instinctively grabbed Scorpius by the arm in concern, I had no idea what was about to happen next.

I looked at Al who had just calmed his brother down, once he was done turned to face his ex-lover and he went from looking like he was going to explode to a bit calmer. He turned to Martin who was now fully walking away after James was chilled out.

" Yea?! You sure weren't calling me "Fag" with my dick in your mouth!" Everyone around us ooooo'd

It was rare to hear Al be vulgar but when he did it, he did it with reason. Even James laughed at the crazy comeback, but it was mixed with shock.

Martin turned around and he looked like he was going to say an Unspeakable. That was before Scorpius stepped in.

"Expelliarmus!" He disarmed Martin before turning around and taking Al's wand with his hand with no care.

Now they had the choice to fight like real men, but before Martin could charge at Al again Scorpius restrained him.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Martin was lifted into the air and fought to get back down. "Calm Down! Al go to Mcgonagle"

"Scorpius you saw what he..."

"Just do it, Albus!" I could see a fire in Scorpius' eyes.

"What is going on here?" Mcgonagle had finally made it to the scene.

"Headmaster. Here are their wands, these two were about to duel however I didn't see the beginning."

"Put Dagwood down, ." She demanded

Scorpius put him down and Martin landed on his butt.

"Come with me both of you. Scorpius I'll need you too" McGonagall instructed the three boys to come with her. They all didn't hesitate to follow her to her office while everyone went about their business again.

I watched the boys leave until I could no longer see them. At some point, I turned around to go to my dorm when I saw James standing there alone. He still looked like he was ready to fight.

"James don't worry about Al, I'm sure he didn't start the fight." I assumed he was worried about his brother

"Why were you holding Malfoy?" He asked me

I was so taken aback by his statement that I had no idea how to respond to him. I realize that the anger on his face was now completely directed toward me

" Excuse me?"

"I saw you. Looked too close for my liking."

"I don't care what you like. Scorpius is my friend."

"Since when? You fucking hate him."

"James."

"No I'm looking out for you, I've been hearing some disgusting rumors about you Rose and I will not torrelate the family name to be tarnished?"

"What rumors?"

"Maybe they're about you and Malfoy."

"Tell me" I demanded

" Maybe they are about you screwing him."

"Where did you hear that from?"

"Does it fucking matter, Rose? Tell me they aren't true."

I just stopped talking and stood there in silence staring at him. Completely surprised he's demanding I tell. I understand why Al would be annoyed with us for so long, this is very annoying to hear the constant bashing of Scorpius when he's truly a good person.

"What if they were?"

"Don't fuck with me, Rosie?"

"What if I screwed his fucking brains out?"

"Stop it!"

"James! Have you ever stopped to think that maybe me and Scorpius had put things to rest? Maybe almost dying made me realize that there are more important things in life. Maybe Scorpius is a great human being, capable of maturity you so clearly haven't reached. Maybe those little rumors, are true"

'Rose I swear to Merlin."

"What? You gonna drop me? Disown me? New flash James whatever I do is none of your business. Your brother just got called one of the worst things imaginable and you hear yelling at me? If I were you I got more than me to worry about, I'd go visit your humiliated brother or your heartbroken sister before you start yelling at me about what's best for our family and what sort of image we have because it is my business and my family name to think of, not yours. But at the end of the day, it doesn't fucking matter."

There was a long pause of him saying nothing, finally, he just walked away fuming with his face as red as a tomato. If he heard anything I just said he better go find Lily or wait for Albus.

I almost wanted to cry, usually in these situations I'd go to the Pensieve, but that didn't feel like an option right now.

I decided to walk towards Mcgonagals office, maybe I could catch Scorpius and Al right after their meeting.

On my way to her office, I could see Scorpius walking down the hall.

"Rose." He called out for me. I picked up my pace until I finally reached him.

I had no words left to say.

"Shit,"

It was the only thing I could think of.

" I know Martin is such a pussy, I have no idea what Al saw in him. "

" I hope he gets what he deserves,"

Scorp began to chuckle at himself a little bit. "I must admit Al's comeback was pretty good"

"I'll give him that." I chuckled as well. "I can't believe this is happening, first Breena and Nova are having drama, and then Lily and Hector, and now Al and Martin."

"What the hell?"

"I know. By the way, I told Breena and Nova about us."

"When?"

"Today."

"Huh." He raised his eyebrow at me.

"What?" I asked him.

"No, it's just funny after you told them, all this stuff started happening."

"What do you mean?"

"It's nothing, just sounds like a bad omen."

"You think we're a bad omen?" I was very offended by his statement. Why would say that? Is this rumor a bad omen too?

"I was just kidding Rose."

"Yea, sure. Look I'll see you later." I was left with a sour taste in my mouth

"Wait, Rose." He went to grab my hand and I pulled it away. I guess I was looking around like I was afraid people would see us because Scorpius' face sort of sank when he saw my reaction.

"I guess it's still like that." He said before walking away from me. He waited for me to respond, but I didn't know what to say. James had told me there are rumors and I still wasn't used to being out in the open with Scorpius. I guess I waited too long because he turned and left me standing there in the corridor.

"Scorpius wait!" I tried yelling after him but he was too fast. I felt terrible. We've been dating for a month it's about time we start acting like it in public.

Fuck.

I turned the opposite way and just walked where ever I felt like it.

I can't believe this is happening, I thought things would be great after we started dating. I mean it has for us but everyone else is crumbling around us. I don't regret where I'm at with Scorpius but why did everything have to get complicated when we tried?

Was he right? We're we a bad omen? A curse on any relationship that surrounds us?

No! Impossible.

It's not our fault Martin has internalized homophobia.

It's not our fault Breena permitted Nova to cheat on her.

It's not our fault Hector bragged to his brother and Lily heard it.

Poor Lily, she was in love with that boy and he betrayed her. Was it my fault for getting them together? If I didn't flirt with Elijah then none of that would've happened to Lily. Merlin, now I feel guilty!

I was snapped out of my thought by a familiar sound. I had finally taken in my surroundings and realized I had walked much farther than I thought. So far that I had made it in front of the door again.

My experience had been so awful lately but I still had the urge to go back.

I opened the door and followed the light.

I know I shouldn't but I can't stop thinking about it. The emotions I feel afterward help me focus on any besides what is going on in my real life. I know it's been taking a toll on me. I know that. But what if I was meant to learn all of these things, what if I was special in some sort of way? That is why the Room of Requirements keeps opening up to me. At first, I thought it was for me, but now I'm not sure.

I paced around the room debating my next move, maybe I could just be in here for some peace for once. I went and sat at the window and thought about it. This is why I come back because I have forgotten all about the drama. However, now I'm consumed with the images of Neville, Ginny, and my father.

Maybe that is why Ginny was upset with that boyfriend of hers, maybe she liked her friend too. Maybe that's why she stayed friends with that shrew. Cause she liked her. Her reaction was a bit big. Then again if Scorpius hooked up with Alice I would probably act the same.

Whatever the case, I'm glad she found Harry.

Then I thought about my father and Harry, to see them at such a good place later in their lives gave me hope. But Dad was still a colossal prick. So unlike him even to this day.

"Weasley" a voice whispered

I turned my head to see an empty room.

"Weasley" the voice whispered out. The vials rattled together that all of them fell except one. I stood up and approached the last standing vial. I was so drawn to it that I picked it up and walked to the Pensieve. Call me a Gryffindor but something inside wanted to prove that I was brave enough to handle anything it threw at me.

Just one more time. Then I'm done.
