True To His Heart
While brainstorming, Anne looked at the tin man.
The tin man was restless, he was trying to pay close attention to the scarecrow's plan.
"Cool idea, scarecrow!" the tin man heard Anne exclaim.
"Uncool idea, you mean! Annie, do you have any idea how risky this is? The Goblin King will skin you alive!" the tin man exclaimed.
"Ala... I mean, Tin man, lighten up. I can handle this, trust me. And if we all do our part, nothing can go wrong." Anne said.
The tin man walked off, lowering his head, clearly consumed with dread.
I don't know why I'm surprised by this, Anne thought. He is Alan's counterpart.
Anne followed the tin man, then gave him a hug to comfort him.
"Don't worry, tough guy, I'll be fine." Anne said to the tin man.
Smiling back, the tin man returned the hug.
"You'd better be." the tin man said to Anne.
They released their grip, then, parted ways.
As she walked back to the meeting area, Anne began to sing.
Anne: A million thoughts in my head;
Should I let my heart keep listening;
Cause up 'til now, I've walked the line;
Nothing lost but something missing;
I can't decide what's wrong, what's right;
Which way should I go;
If only I knew what my heart was telling me;
Don't know what I'm feeling;
Is this just a dream;
Uh oh, yeah;
If only I could read the signs in front of me;
I could find the way to who I'm meant to be;
Uh oh, if only;
If only;
If only;
Walking down a deserted corridor, the tin man began to sing.
Tin man: Every step, every word;
With every hour I'm falling in;
To something new, something brave;
To someone I, I have never been;
Anne and Tin man: I can't decide what's wrong, what's right;
Which way should I go;
If only I knew what my heart was telling me;
Don't know what I'm feeling;
Is this just a dream;
Uh oh, yeah;
If only I could read the signs in front of me;
I could find the way to who I'm meant to be;
Uh oh, if only;
Anne: Yeah;
Is this crazy;
Maybe;
We can't do this;
Oh;
Tin man: Will you still be with me;
When my heart has all run out;
Anne and Tin man: If only I knew what my heart was telling me;
Don't know what I'm feeling;
Is this just a dream;
Uh oh;
If only I could read the signs in front of me;
I could find the way to who I'm meant to be;
Uh oh;
If only, yeah;
If only, yeah;
If only, yeah;
If only, yeah;
If only;
If only.
A few minutes later, the tin man came back into the meeting area, he was ready to be true to his heart.
