The Sleeping Tin Clad Prince
"Anne?" Queen Rosma asked.
Anne just had a far off and distant look in her eyes.
Anne's eyes began welling up with tears as she began to sing.
Anne: Someday I'll wake and rub my eyes;
And in that land beyond the skies;
You'll find me;
I'll be a laughin' daffodil;
And leave the silly cares that fill;
My mind behind me;
Somewhere over the rainbow;
Bluebirds fly;
Birds fly over the rainbow;
Why then;
Oh why, can't I;
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow;
Why, oh why, can't I?
The scarecrow walked up and placed his left hand upon Anne's right shoulder.
"Will you be okay, Anne?" the scarecrow asked.
Anne buried her face in the scarecrow's shoulders and began sobbing uncontrollably.
"Alan! I miss you so much!" Anne sobbed bitterly.
The scarecrow held Anne tightly, he just wasn't entirely sure who Alan was.
