A/N: I own nothing

-ten years later-

It was a beautiful afternoon with blue skies that were dotted with a few puffy white clouds. Adam cheerfully hummed to himself as he walked down the winding dirt path, twirling Lero as he did so, much to the umbrella's distress. Coming to the top of a hill, Adam paused for a moment to look out over the valley below. The valley was covered with a blanket of wildflowers that was broken every now and then by trees and there was a beautiful manor house overlooking a small lake near the center of the valley. A smile pulled at his lips when the faint sounds of laughter drifted up to him before he headed down into the valley. The sound grew louder as he got closer to the house until...

"FATHER!"

Two small forms slammed into him, knocking him to the ground. Adam laughed as he hugged the two boys. The two boys were six years old and they were identical in every manner except for a few variations. One boy had wavy red hair and hazel eyes while the other had spiky brown hair and amber eyes.

"James, Joshua." said Adam as he stood "Where is everyone?"

"Dad and Papa are in the back, Father." chirped Joshua "They're entertaining guests."

"Yeah!" said James excitedly "Uncle Sheril and Aunt Hermione are here and they brought Road, Rose, and Hugo with them. Uncle Tyki and Uncle Sirius and Uncle Remus and Aunt Tonks and Teddy came too. And, and..." Joshua slapped his hand over James' mouth.

"Breathe James." said Joshua before yanking his hand away with a yelp "Eww, James! Why'd you lick my hand?!" James just stuck out his tongue before running off with Joshua giving chase. Adam sighed softly and smiled a bit before making his way to the back, where he found the group his sons mentioned and a few others gathered around a large table.

Everyone called out greetings to him as he approached the table and as he looked over those gathered as the table, Adam noticed that an important person was missing.

"Where is Clio?" asked Adam.

"She wasn't feeling well." said Nea "So she went inside to lay down."

"You left her alone?" said Adam as Allen came walking over with Joshua clinging to his back.

"No, Mana is with her." said Allen before he was tackled by James and a seven year old girl with brown eyes and dark bushy hair that was tightly braided.

"I'll go check on her." said Adam "I shall return shortly." He headed into the house and went up to the master bedroom before pausing when he heard a soft voice through the door. Quietly, Adam opened the door a little bit and peeked inside.

Clio was sitting on the bed, propped up on a few pillows, and tucked against her side was a boy of eight. The boy had medium length wavy black hair and amber colored eyes and he had a large leather bound book that he was reading out of. Opening the door the rest of the way, Adam entered the room and walked up to the bed.

"What are you doing, Mana?" he asked as he ruffled his eldest son's hair.

"I'm reading to my baby sister." said Mana as he looked up at Adam "I thought that it might help her come out."

"And what makes you certain that your mother is going to have a girl?" asked Adam.

"Just a feeling." said Mana.

"You're just like your mother." said Adam with a chuckle "Why don't you go outside and play? I'll keep your mother company." Mana nodded and closed the book before hopping off of bed. He handed the book to Adam before running out of the room.

"How are you feeling my muse?" asked Adam as he set the book on the bedside table before sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"Tired." said Clio as she rested a hand on her swollen stomach "And I ache... everywhere but it seems as thought the little one doesn't want to come out." Adam rested his hand over hers before smiling when the baby kicked "That's another thing, he's been kicking about like no tomorrow and my ribs have suffered the brunt of it."

"Are you certain it's a boy?" he asked.

"Everyone else thinks it is," she replied "And with our current track record, it's more than likely that I'm going to have another boy."

"I'm certain that everyone but Mana believes that we're going to have another son." said Adam "But regardless if you have a son or a daughter, our child will be loved and treasured."

-~~the next day~~-

Mana looked up from his book when he heard a loud noise and he shook his head when he saw James and Joshua wrestling with a few of the other kids there, namely a seven year old boy with asian features, long dirty blonde hair, and silvery grey eyes named Loki. Loki was the son of his dad's (Allen) friend, Yuu Kanda, and one of his mother's friends, Luna Kanda née Lovegood, and the boy was a raging ball of crazy. He got angry very quickly but went back to being sweet and smiling in the same amount of time and he always carried around a wooden sword and liked to jump out of nowhere in order to preform 'surprise' attacks on unwitting victims.

Needless to say, Mana preferred to stay far away from him.

Mana yelped when something collided with him, knocking him off the low wall he had been perched on.

"Mana!" chirped the eight year old girl currently sitting on his stomach "Don't be such a stick-in-the-mud, Mana! That's Rose's job!" The girl had waist length, bright red hair that was worn in two ponytails and dark eyes. This was the daughter of two of his dad's (Allen) other friends, Lenalee and Lavi, and the bane of his existence, Naomi.

"Naomi, please remove yourself from my person." said Mana.

"Nope!" said Naomi "Not until you smile!" Mana gave an exasperated sigh "C'mon, you know you want to~"

"Let me up first." he said in resignation and Naomi let him get back on his feet.

"Alright, now smile~" said Naomi "Or I keep bugging you!" His face twitched and he sighed again before he gave Naomi a smile. Naomi squealed loudly before glomping him.

"You're too cute for your own good, Mana!" squealed Naomi as she pulled back "You're so cute that you could probably kill someone with your cuteness!"

"Is your... nose bleeding, Naomi?" asked Mana. Naomi squeaked and quickly covered her nose before taking off.

"Crazy girl." he said as he shook his head before retrieving his book and sitting back down. Instead of opening the book back up, he closed his eyes as a breeze brushed against his skin and he relaxed for a moment before he looked up at the window where he knew his parent's bedroom was. He wondered how his mother was doing, seeing as she had been locked up in her bedroom with his fathers all morning. He had heard from Rose that having a baby was very painful or at least she assumed it was because Rose had heard her mother screaming and cursing at her father when she had given birth to Rose's baby brother, Hugo, six months ago. It made him a bit worried because he didn't like it when his mother was in pain.

"Mana! James! Joshua!" Mana looked towards the house when his name was called and he saw his Papa (Nea) standing by the door. Hopping off of the wall, he trotted up to his Papa as James and Joshua did the same.

"How is mother?" asked Mana.

"She's just fine, Mana." said Nea as he ushered the three of them inside "Now, how would you like to meet your new sibling?"

"Yes!" said James and Joshua in unison before they darted ahead. Nea looked at Mana, who was walking beside him.

"Not going to go ahead?" asked Nea and Mana shook his head "Nervous?"

"A little." said Mana before looking up at him "Do I have a new brother or a new sister?"

"Well," said Nea "Adam wanted it to be a surprise for you boys but... I'm sure it won't hurt for you to know, Mana."

"If father wants it to be a secret, then I can wait." said Mana with a smile. Nea smiled back at him and they reached the room as Allen was dragged out of the room by James and Joshua. Mana resisted the urge to roll his eyes and sigh. The twins were loud and had a notoriously short attention span, so it was no surprise that their new sibling didn't hold their interest for very long.

Mana stopped just in front of the door, which was slightly ajar, nervousness getting the better of him. He looked up at his Papa when he placed his hand on his shoulder as he crouched next to him.

"Don't be nervous, Mana." said Nea "You'll be fine." Mana nodded slightly before slowly opening the door and hesitantly entering the room.

Adam looked up when he heard the door open and he smiled when he saw Mana entering the room. Silently, he motioned for Mana to approach and once he was close enough he made the motion for him to be quiet. He watched as Mana crawled up on the bed and sat down beside his mother before peering at the newborn in her arms.

"They're so tiny." said Mana.

"All babies are tiny when they're born, Mana." said Clio with a gentle smile "Even you were this little at one point."

"I was?" asked Mana as he looked up at her.

"You were." said Clio.

"Wow." said Mana as he looked back down at the baby "So, do I have a brother or a sister?"

"A sister." said Clio and Mana's eye practically bugged out of his head.

"A sister?" warbled Mana.

"Yes, a sister." said Clio "Her name is Lily. Would you like to hold her?" Mana hesitated before nodding slowly. Carefully, Clio placed the newborn in his arms and, after making certain that he had a good grip on the sleeping newborn, she leaned back against the pillows. She watched as a bright smile made its way onto Mana's face as he looked down at his new sister and she felt a pleasantly content feeling. After everything she had gone through to get to this point, she decided that wouldn't trade her life (both past and present) for anything else in the world.
